Kiseki Noke Review
Hello again! Enjoying summer? Despite it being very hot where I live right now, it’s still better than that surprise heat wave in February. I actually enjoy the tranquility of a warm summer afternoon. Anyways, here’s another post! All the activity in the UTAU community lately has got me excited.

Hear a Sample of Kiseki Noke
Bio
Name: Kiseki Noke/奇跡ノケ (Name meaning: Miracle Hair) Gender: Female Age: 18 Height: 4'11"/149cm Weight: 105lbs/48kg Voice Provider/Character Design: dezzy
Personality: Kiseki Noke is friendly, playful, and spontaneous. She's a bit obnoxious and sometimes goes over the top with her jokes, but generally means no harm. She is autistic and bisexual like her creator and her hyperfixations are K-Pop, Pokémon, anime, and Utatane Piko. Her mother is Korean and her father was Japanese, but he has been out of the picture since her early childhood. According to Noke, this didn't have an affect on her growing up and her mother loves her very dearly, although she is stern. Other: She collects Pokémon plushies. Her favorite is Bunnelby.
Official Site
Noke has a homepage on Google Sites. Here is her voicebank directory. There was no voicebank specified in the request, but I downloaded Kiseki Noke V3, which came with Normal, Strong, and Sweet. Specifying a single voicebank isn’t required, but it is really helpful so I know what to do in situations like this. NORMAL has fully generated frq files, while the others only have partially generated ones. All the 3 together are 231 MB when fully unzipped, but only work when used apart.
First Impressions
Kiseki Noke is a nostalgic seeming UTAU with a cute bunny design and an even cuter voice. Most of her voicebanks are CV, which is a bit rare to see nowadays!
Configuration
Each of the 3 voicebanks are monopitch CV with no bells and whistles. One addition I do like is alternate pronunciations for a lot of the vowels, some which emphasize the beginning consonant. CV tends to have big issues with consonants being inaudible in a UST, especially when trying to plug-and-play, so this is a welcome difference. The lack of crossfaded vowels is something that bugs me in a lot of CV banks, but it’s easy to add another OTO entry yourself so I see no point in being harsh about it. Noke at least has a few extra vowels to better emulate the vowels in words like “yasashii”. The OTOs in all 3 are great and easily better than any CV I’ve done.
I don’t know exactly what it is, but Sweet just doesn’t sound very good in the engine without extensive tweaking. Using fresamp and tn_fnds helps most of the time, but it overall has that “buried in static” feel a lot of soft UTAUs end up having. Odd since the recordings sound fine  The Strong voicebank is younger sounding and more Teto-like than the default voice, which is mellow and mature sounding. I find reducing gender factor gives a more idol-like vibe that suits her character more.
My recommended flags: F0H40g-5Y50P90
My recommended resamplers: doppeltler, f2resamp, fresamp12 [wavtoolex]
Final Thoughts
Strong is definitely the highlight of this pack, but all 3 are good voicebanks for anyone who enjoys CV. I hope Noke gets new fans from this post because between everything I’m planning there’ll be no time to use her ;;
Got any other UTAUs you want me to review? Send an ask!

Hear a Sample of Kiseki Noke -MAGIC-
Bio
Name: Kiseki Noke/奇跡ノケ (Name meaning: Miracle Hair) Gender: Female Age: 18 Height: 4'11"/149cm Weight: 105lbs/48kg Voice Provider/Character Design: dezzy
Official Site
Noke has a homepage on Google Sites. Here is her voicebank directory. MAGIC is towards the bottom of the page. The full pack is 433 MB when unzipped. Frq files vary via voicebank, but are mostly generated. .llsm and .bak files are also included.
First Impressions
MAGIC comes with 5 Japanese voicebanks that can only be used separately: Natural, Bold, Bright, Small, and Ryouseirui. Most of them have the typical tone we’ve come to expect from Noke, if you were around for last time. I still sorta wish there was an option to use all these banks together properly, maybe with Bold as the high pitch.
Configuration
All the 5 voicebanks are monopitch CV recorded at either G4 or F4, with Ryouseirui being recorded at A3. Bold and Bright are a little similar in tone, but Bold is louder and less nasally than Bright. Ryouseirui is meant to be masculine, it is lower but sounds more like a natural low pitch than a different tone/character. Small is the soft voicebank which rounds out the pack.
The reclist uses 150 samples with varying extra sounds. Just like V3, there are some extended vowels, as well as CV samples with longer/shorter vowels. I don’t really get the point of the extended vowel ones though, since the oto usually cuts the off? There are also two ん sounds, one is pronounced more like English m and the other is a standard Japanese ん. Fu is pronounced like the English “foo” for some reason though, which is unusual. Mouse click noises are still present at the end of each sample, though they are unheard in the editor. The samples overall are crisp and clear except for Ryouseirui, which has a ton of background noise and unnaturally quiet samples.
The oto uses whole numbers for all values. There is no proper ratio for preutter/overlap, with preutterance often being dramatically larger than the overlap. Even for CV, the overlap tends to be a little too small. The vowels tend to have the overlap be larger than the preutterance, which messes up the envelopes a lot. Still wish there were crossfaded vowels or that they had a looser configuration at all, they sound strange when used in a UST.
Volume levels for the Bold samples are all over the place, with some being very loud and others being at a much lower volume. Resampler recommendations are also very tentative, as certain samples make no sound on some of them.
My recommended flags: F0H40Y100
My recommended resamplers: fresamp12, doppeltler, world4utau, TIPS (Small), tn_fnds (Small)
Final Thoughts
There was so much to go over, I hope this post is enough, haha. Noke’s voicebanks are nothing if not consistent in both their strong points and flaws. I do love the tone of these banks, especially Small and Bright, so check them out if you’re interested!

Hi there! I just wanted to say that, V3 stands for Vocaloid 3 and since Kiseki Noke isn’t a vocaloid, you would need to use VCV instead for different voice bank. (ex: VCV dark, VCV sweet)
oh this is probably late but
the V3 stands for "version 3" as it was her 3rd version to be released. i completely forgot it meant vocaloid 3 until after she was already released so :/
also, kiseki noke doesn't have any vcv voicebanks, all of her voicebanks are cv.
