Ian played the game. Talked to possible matches for ninety seconds each. Drowned in a sea of pristine faces, gym-bro bodies, and hungry expressions.
He’d taken a leap of faith, trying out speed dating. “Pick one. Get off,” Lip said. “Dust off your dick. Move on.”
Ian did move on, by pushing in his chair and heading outside.
He was done with this game. He wanted someone real. Someone challenging. Someone –
“Bunch of pretentious assholes, aren’t they?” Black hair, holey scarf, mechanic’s overalls, smoking in the alley.
Ian asked for a light. Maybe this hadn’t been a mistake after all.

Fresh blood drips from Mickey's bandages, causing him to grip his stomach tighter.
He squints one eye open to see the Sun setting outside the window. He shudders, even though each breath he takes rattles his ribcage.
It's getting darker and darker and the ginger boy still hasn't gotten back yet.
It's not like Mickey expected anything of him, they were just strangers a few days ago. Yet, Mickey took a giant leap of faith by allowing him to grab supplies for him after he got mauled by a zombie.
Even though there's a likely chance they'll both be dead.

Chicago looms ahead. Debbie stifles a yawn as Lip fiddles with the radio dial.
“Say we can’t force him to take his meds. He’s not gonna… feel the same way about me, is he?” Mickey lowers his eyes to Ian, asleep beside him. “You don’t gotta answer that, actually.”
His emotions lash that much tighter to his chest. All it would take is something random and irredeemable, enacted in the throes of mania and they’ll be right back at the start. All that work undone. All that love gone.
“Leap of faith, Mick,” Debbie says. “No point to anything, otherwise.”

PLAY art house - A space for art lovers located in an old district of Bangkok where art is alive.
CASA FORMOSA - Taiwan tea house
MESA 312 - Directed by Myriam Rueda, MESA 312 Cultural Lab is multidimensional project which offers graphic design services and visual arts.
F.V - F.V Cafe sells beverages made from Thai ingredients and Thai desserts
ARTEASIA - The cafe of History, Architecture, & Culture
HOR FUN (หอฝัน) - Home cooked fusion concept and bar.
POTONG (OPIUM BAR) - Potong restaurant is a 1 star Michelin, No35th Asia 50 best restaurant and No88 th world best restaurant of 2023.
Choosing and then coordinating with seven different business, including a Michellin star restaurant, for promotion with your movie is no small lift.
This is very impressive on-brand tie in with their movie, a one-of-a-kind experience for people in to Bangkok to experience the release of the film as it promotes Thai culture and soft power.
This is a particularly thoughtful and interesting marketing plan, and I'm sure will drive business to these seven participating companies as well as movie-goers to the cinema. Kudos.
Now if only they could tell us international fans when and how we can see the movie 🥲🥲🥲 please i want to give you my money so bad

Excerpt from this story from The Revelator:
With rising temperatures from climate change and an increase in the number of extreme storms predicted, scientists have warned of “climate whiplash” — more pronounced swings between wet and dry that could make floods even more dangerous and costly.
It’s an issue that’s top of mind not just in California, but across the country. The United States just endured the wettest 12 months on record, and flooding this spring resulted in federal disaster declarations in Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska. Dozens of other states and counties declared emergencies, and at the time of this writing, floods had already claimed 67 lives nationwide. They’ve also caused billions of dollars in property damage and swamped farmers have experienced billions more in economic losses.
In all of these cases, we see a common thread: It’s not just the direct blows from nature that are the problem. We’ve made things worse by paving over floodplains, channelizing rivers, and draining wetlands.
But change could be on the horizon. Today more and more communities are beginning to realize that 20th century development practices are harmful. It’s ushering in a new era of thinking about floodplain management — one that involves letting rivers behave like rivers.
