Do you have any advice for someone who isn’t an art clout chaser but more just wants ppl to see their art?

i mean, i don't know, i just post things that i enjoy making and people who like it stick around, umm

but i guess if you're asking for advice specifically there are some things that might help? not in any particular order.

have a specific tag for your art that is either obvious or easy to find, in your bio or pinned for example. most artists use "my art" tag, some artists have unique tags, id's say if its easy to understand that this tag leads to specifically things that you've drawn - its good. its hard to find all your art among the reblogs, so having an easy path to it is helpful!

speaking of tags, use fandom and character tags if you're drawing for a fandom! that's like, the main way people can first learn of you - if they check their favorite character's tag and see your art there! i don't post original work so idk what tags to use there, but if you need it you can do some research and find out.

have a signature with the name of your blog or account on your art. please. for when someone saves your art and wants to find your acc later, or when someone shows it to their friend and they're interested enough to find you, or when someone forgets your url, or anything. please sign your art!!!!!!! as someone who loves saving pictures and looking at them later, im begging you, its impossible to find you when you don't sign your art.

don't be mean to yourself in the captions under your art. i know its enticing to say "a shitty doodle haha" or "this drawing sucks but im posting it anyway", but please don't. for yourself first of all, be kind to yourself, this is art, not a test. and for others as well, because when people see that the artist is downing on themselves - they don't want to engage with that and are less likely to reblog your art. by saying something mean you invite people to feel the same. (i myself struggle with this by saying criticisms in my tags, but im trying to deal with it)

kind of on the same topic, don't try to gaslight or pressure people into reblogging your art either. don't say things like "reblog this or you're not a good person ^_^" or "if you don't reblog you hate art". just like. no.

umm, make your art look presentable in the post. i don't have any structural advice on how to do this, just uh. comes with practice i guess, figuring out when a drawing is better to post on its own, when it's better to have a lot of small things together, when its better to have a drawing big and clear or have multiple in a row for people to click on, etc. depends on the context and your style and stuff so, try things?

i guess customize your blog to where it's fitting you and your style? this is definitely more of a personal preference than advice. i like it when a blog is easy and pleasing to look at and doesn't hurt my eyes, bright colors and eyestrains are very hard to look at for long and if they're everywhere - this is definitely not a page im gonna stay on for longer than 3 seconds. again, personal preference, and this is more of a "know your audience" type of deal.

and just. enjoy what you're doing? have fun and post things that you like and resonate with? find your own way of doing things and posting? be yourself? remember that this is tumblr and we're all just sharing our interests and thoughts and we're all just people here? yea

I didn't think I had one, until Truedemon. Something about Scott/Deucalion just resonates with me.

I started a scileo fic a while back about Stiles finding Theo at a BDSM club with Deucalion and being realllly into watching Theo get spanked. It eventually becomes Steo, and then they both realized that they are really interested more in Scott. But Scott is busy with school all the time and couldn't possibly like them. But actually Scott would really like Stiles to spank him, please. And eventually they get there.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I can churn out a lot of mediocre fic very quickly. I have tons of ideas and am very creative. I can do a fairly decent short fic and you can feel that I love the source material and characters I write for in my fics.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Long fic with cohesive themes and plots.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I have a lot. Generally, unless it's obvious what the words are from context, necessary for the reader not to understand the language with the character, or making a point to explore a character's cultural roots: "Ah, yes please," Satomi said in Japanese, is the easiest way to handle it. To me.

This is hard. I'm picking this one because it was really hard to write and I just reread it. And even though it has only 32 kudos it's GOOD. Equivalent Exchange: I wrote this for the first scottuary, it's about Noshiko and Scott developing a relationship. It's about gift giving and mentorship and Noshiko's views on Scott as a leader. It's thoughtful and I think a really nice look at both of them. And imo, easily one of my most underrated fics.

like, i used to hesitate and ask myself how will this be received? will ppl get mad or offended if i write my wildest fantasies? will i alienate certain readers if i go too far?

I mean I would say it depends on what you want to do, what you hope to achieve or what direction you wanna go with your blog, most people write sfw with a dash of nsfw around or half and half. in case you're just here for the good stuff, i'll be tagging my personal ramblings as #whmpersonal so you can avoid em BUT this is tangentially related to the game project i'm working on, so stick around i guess? tl;dr: i'll probably make a more coherent post where I ask ppl for help (especially artists). also, i'll be more attentive and answer your asks faster, hopefully. : )

anyway, after a bit of a "review" of my creative process (and i guess my uhh way of living in general?) i've noticed that it's a huge clusterfuck. and that it has been since i was a kid. without some external pressure or an imposed structure (like deadlines, parents or strongly worded emails) i just sort of relied on random surges of productivity to carry me through life. on one hand, it's kinda fun: most of the time i'm not doing anything valuable and then all of a sudden i condense weeks worth of work into several sleepless days during which i feel like An Immortal Unstoppable God. lighting bolts shoot from my fingertips, my eyes glow in the dark, and my caffeine-to-blood volume ratio is hovering around 1.

unfortunately, it's not really sustainable. the "not doing anything valuable" stage that takes up most of my time is not me just chilling. it's me freaking the fuck out about not doing anything despite wanting to and finding myself just. not able to. not to mention that some things just need minor, but constant maintenance - at best i'd just forget about them and face the consequences later on. at worst i'd be acutely aware of them while procrastinating, clueless as to what's wrong with me.

couple that with a couple other unhealthy habits, a microscopic attention span and wow, i fit like all the criteria for adhd. i gotta admit i was super sceptical at first when doing any research, since, well. how the fuck am i even supposed to gain any unbiased insight into this. anyway, i spent a stupid amount of money on an official diagnosis (seriously why is this not covered by insurance gsygx), it took a million meetings and tests and i get a piece of paper that says i have add and deserve some medication.

this has also made me realize that i'm spread out super thin when it comes to projects. i love every single one of them, but im going to have to be a bit more realistic in terms of what can remain in "when it's done" limbo and what needs a bit of a push. the whump game is unique in that it's not just me who wants this to eventually get released. so! what this means is that it needs a proper, project structure. not a .txt on my desktop where i keep a backlog of missing features. but must important of all, it needs ~*people*~. this is the first time i took a step back and estimated how much time everything would take me and yeahhhh i was being very optimistic when i said "playable build in 2023" lol. i've been hesitant to ask for help bc 1. i'm stubborn : ) 2. im bad at coordinating stuff 3. i can't pay ppl - like seriously, there is one person making a model for me (if you're reading this sorry i didn't ask if you want a tag but this is just a personal post where i keep yapping) and it's looking so clean and professional,,, you gotta sell this as an asset.

HOWEVER im getting past the mentality of "i gotta do as much as i can by myself". and also taking meds so that im able to focus on tasks (both gamedev-related and others) and actually pay attention to what im doing. which is great news for development! and answering asks! ill be making a dev post where i tag all the ppl and will also ask for help.

writing has always made me feel good, so if i can pour that out and share it with other people, well, that's just second nature to me to do that. and it's evolved, too, into this thing where i truly and adamantly believe that writing, first and foremost, should be for the writer—you need to put your wants first, otherwise, like, what are you even doing, yk? just feeding into trends and algorithms and mass market appeal that can and will change like that *snaps fingers*, blech, i'd rather sell my soul for a mcchicken, but, anyway, point being...

just, figure out exactly what it is you're afraid of. because honestly, if that fear is other ppl's opinions, i'm tellin you, that's so irrelevant. i know it doesn't feel that way but, take it from someone who spent a looooooong time, long time, trying to curate my work into something that was wholly for others without ever asking myself hey asshole is this even what you want to be writing in the first place? (answer: no it was not.)

like i think, at a certain point, you really do have to go into creating anything with a very fuck it i'm ballin kind of attitude. like, you need to find your fulfillment and you need to have fun, and i promise you that other ppl are going to feel that in your work, bc that's the shit that makes you shine.

(also um quick postscript but i love you for doing this for me. that's so kind and so rad and honestly like, even if the rest of this has been nothing but a mixed bag of buttered-caramel-cheese popcorn with no discernable rhyme or reason, THAT energy you've got there is worth sharing)

hihi im starting a writing blog for svt but im relatively new to tumblr and its mechanics and all the etiquette and things like that. also im a jun biased and im weird in the way where i don't usually have inspo for other members? if that makes sense? so like idk is there anything i need to know or is it relatively acceptable to mostly only write for one or two members?

also sidenote but i really love some of your writings ahaha match of the season is my favourite :D thank you so much if you ever reply!

no that totally makes sense! i would say most authors on here will write for ot13 but they definitely write more for their bias than any other member. i feel the same way, for me it's easier to write for jun than for other members (and also i love him lol) so my writing ends up being like 90% jun and 10% other members. which is completely fine! at the end of the day it's your blog and your writing, and you should write for whoever you feel comfortable writing for and whoever gives you the most motivation. there are hundreds of writers on this site so if one writer only writes for a couple of members, it doesn't mean the other members won't get written :) nobody says you're required to write certain things or for certain members!

if you intentionally leave out one member but write for all the rest (i've seen writers who write ot12 and exclude jun because they aren't attracted to him), you might get some side eyes but again that is your choice. i personally wouldn't say a hard no to any members and i'll give them all my best shot, but that's my blog, and your blog is up to you.

as for things you'd need to know, i'd say the number one thing is interact with people! the best way to get interaction on your own work is to reblog and comment on other fics. as i'm sure you've heard me say before, reblogs are the most important feature on this site! it basically boils down to, treat others how you would want to be treated by reblogging their works and leaving feedback, even if it's just a simple "i really loved this!!!". it makes you stand out in our notifs and if you're also a writer it might even get you a new mutual.

other tips off the top of my head:

have a masterlist post (helps people find all your fics in one place) and have a guidelines post (makes it clear what you're comfy with)

DO NOT PLAGIARIZE AND DO NOT STEAL ANYONE ELSE'S WRITING (this one is in caps bc super super important!!! you can take ideas or inspiration from someone else but you cannot take their words or their writing. you'd think this one would be obvious but plagiarism happens a lot more than you'd think)

if you're inspired by someone else, tag them in your fic! it shows respect to the original author, and you should tag them whether it was from a fic you read or if they helped you brainstorm ideas. it doesn't have to be a super long thing, just a little "inspired by @onlyhuis's fic!!" is more than enough, but it goes a long way :)

like i said, you can write for whoever you want, whenever you want! when ppl start interacting you it's gonna be stressful because you want to make them happy and put out new fics often, but just remember that it's your blog and you get the final say on everything. don't put pressure on yourself to write constantly because you will get burned out and i promise it will not be fun!

if people send things that make you uncomfy, don't be afraid to delete (or block) them. it's your blog and your boundaries so don't feel guilty for standing up for yourself. also, ignore answer hate asks because they're just looking for attention so don't give it to them

trigger things properly! this is the little section before the fic that says "warnings". don't censor any words (using punctuation like bl00d or d3ath instead of typing blood or death) because it defeats the purpose of ppl who have those keywords filtered, so type out the whole word uncensored. this is a courtesy for people so they can choose to avoid content that may be harmful to them. (this also counts towards visual works, a lot of ppl use tags like "tw flashing" on gifsets)

speaking of tags, when you post be sure to put tags on it! it's the section at the bottom of your post with all the #'s. if you click on any of my fics you can see that i use tags like "jun smut", "seventeen scenarios", etc. these tags help people find what they want to read (but only tag relevant things; don't put "mingyu smut" on a jeonghan fic unless mingyu is actually in the fic). if you aren't sure which tags to use or how to format things, feel free to look at other fics for examples. if you read a lot of fics you might see there's a pretty standard way of doing it

the tags i use like "june.txt" and "june writes" are organizational tags. when you click on, for example, my "june writes" tag, the results are only my fics that have that tag. it basically organizes things into categories (which imo is the best part of tumblr) and it makes it easier to find different types of posts. it also allows people to filter those tags so posts with that tag don't show up (for example, i require minors on my blog to block the tag "minors dni" so that nothing nsfw is shown to them)

again like i said, don't be shy! make friends, join networks, send asks to people, reblog fics, etc etc. interacting with others is the #1 way to make writer friends :)

just a general tumblr tip: no one can see how many followers you have except you, so don't try to make it a competition of who has the most. it's what makes tumblr different from tw*tter and insta and it makes the social media experience a lot more casual because there's no influencers here. it's like a diary where you scream into the void and sometimes ppl scream back. a lot of writers do milestone events (i recently had one for hitting 1k followers) but you aren't required to do those either

if you have any questions about tags, filtering keywords, and other tumblr stuff like that, don't be afraid to ask! any tumblr veteran is more than willing to help break down our weird system to new bloggers

be proud of your work! even if it doesn't get many notes or feedback it doesn't mean you're a bad writer. writing should be fun and something you can enjoy doing, so don't make it seem like a chore by focusing too hard on numbers

i never said i looked through the tags. i simply placed hc’s name on the search bar and looked through it (i was looking more for fics but i was looking for pics and updates too). i know i can just filter the tag (which i don’t and won’t bc tumblr’s filter tends to be faulty & filters whole unrelated posts e.g. “funeral” = post with “fun” gets filtered), but tumblr did put the community label now for a purpose too, right? it’s easy to put it too, so may i politely ask why not just turn it on?

i didn’t say you looked through the tags :) i asked if you did, what did you search? and searching haechan’s name is essentially looking for him in the tags of #haechan posts (and apparently similar tags), no? either way, me asking what you searched was the point of the question because i deliberately tag my fics a certain way. i also find that searching by tag as opposed to regular searches makes the search a lot more specific; as we know, apparently #haechan smut will appear in the “haechan” search but #haechan posts wouldn’t bear the same results! not pressuring you to do anything btw, i’m just making a light suggestion that might make your time here better :)

and you could block the tag, though? as opposed to the keyword? a post with #haechan smut or #nct smut wouldn’t get through the filter and you wouldn’t be seeing anything you didn’t want to, with no extra effort on your part or the parts of the writers you don’t want to see.

tumblr, quite frankly, did not think that feature (community labels) through very well. a large number of blogs haven’t changed their settings to view posts with mature/drugs & alcohol/violence labels, because they most likely still don’t know, and tumblr defaulted to setting everyone’s filters to “hide” as opposed to “blur” or “show.”

not everyone checks up on tumblr’s new updates (i happen to but that’s just me) and reblogs of posts about the community labels only get so far. additionally, i’m p sure turning on/off your community rating filters is only available on desktop as of right now, so mobile users might not have gotten around to it/might not have access to desktop.

so essentially? a lot of people won’t see the post that would normally see it if there’s a community label slapped onto it. it limits the visibility of the fic and it’s a little frustrating to work for ages on a story and post it, knowing that probably dozens, maybe hundreds, possibly even thousands, of blogs haven’t turned on the feature to be able to see the post.

it just seems like a lot of extra work for you to go through searches where you haven’t filtered smut and appeal every single smut fic you find. i’m sure there are a lot. i have a bunch of things blacklisted as tags specifically and tumblr never messes up with filtering them. (i will agree with you that filtering keywords as opposed to tags is still wonky.)

you could also just block this blog, btw. i wouldn’t take it personally (i’ve blocked literally hundreds of blogs just for posting things i don’t like) especially because this isn’t my main blog so blocking it wouldn’t affect me much. i don’t post anything but smut in my writings and that’s the only stuff i put in the tags, so you wouldn’t have to scroll past anything of mine :)

anyway sorry for going on for so long !! but yeah that’s my (albeit lengthy) response as to why i don’t use the community labels (and won’t until tumblr makes the system more functional). :)

hi im asking u this bc u seem to be bee duo enthusiast so

ive been calling c! beeduos relationship platonic because i thought that was what their cc’s said, and i thought they had said that they were uncomfortable with ppl shipping the characters. But ive seen a lot of posts that say their relationship is canonically romantic? and i absolutely do not want to come across as homophobic by watering down a mlm relationship to just friends because that happens so much in media so.

what is the canon state of their relationship / ur opinions on the platonic thibg

aw it’s totally fine, im flattered you asked me about this!

let me put it simply: it’s a whole mess, lol.

first im going to talk about what’s happened fandom-wide that caused differing opinions, and then i’ll explain my own opinion/interpretation. :]

(this got really fucking long im so sorry)

ranboo and tubbo initially proclaimed the relationship was romantic, specifically in argument with the wiki editors who had set it as platonic by default. (you can see this in the vod where they decide they’re canonically married— it’s very funny. chat tells them the marriage is already on the wiki, they check, tubbo is jokingly offended that it says platonic and asks if he needs to up the romance).

tubbo also makes jokes about adultry, which sort of implies the relationship is not necessarily a platonic one.

(theres definetly more in that stream alone but it’s been a long time since i watched it so i don’t remember a lot of it.)

the wiki, because of this, suffers from going back and forth on platonic and romantic, seemingly unsure where the joke ends and the canon begins, or if its canonically a joke! a mess, as you can already tell.

this gets more complicated as the marriage bit goes on: outsiders, such as phil and scott, both at one point say “platonic marriage”, which then ranboo and tubbo agree with. however, when chat asks them if they’re platonic, they say the opposite. so there is a lot of confusion there.

there’s also the difficulty of being able to tell streamers and characters apart. ranboo and tubbo both don’t like being shipped irl, and that’s their boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed. (they’re also minors, but tbh when they’re 18 in a year i will still be following their boundaries regardless of their legal age).

due to people not wanting to be accused of minor shipping, they started adding the platonic tone indicator to most of their drawings— basically a way of saying “no homo”. meanwhile, tubbo frequently on stream flirts with ranboo and makes quite a bit of nsfw comments towards him that are frankly hilarious.

this goes on for a while with nobody really sure what’s canon, but a lot of people assuming it’s probably platonic, until: the drama of the mods night. a few mods dmed all the wiki editors telling them ranboo wanted his canon character relationship officially set to platonic.

unfortunately for those mods; the very same day, a few hours later, ranboo on stream makes fun of puffy delivering him and tubbo “friendship flowers”. because, and i quote, “bruh. we’re literally married. this must be how the ancient greeks felt.”

in case you don’t know, the internet often jokes about how historians will call ancient greeks ‘very good friends’ when they are quite obviously gay. so in this context, ranboo is joking that people will call him and c!tubbo, who are married, “close friends”, when he doesn’t think they are.

basically, ranboo canonized romantic bee duo, the very same day the mods told everyone he’d wanted a platonic one.

chaos and drama immediately erupted everywhere. on tumblr, we were talking about how weird it was of his mods to do something like that without asking him first. we ALSO talked about how weird it was of them to assume that ranboo can’t make his own decisions, or assume teenagers cannot be in relationships without it being sexual. twitter did the same thing but in the opposite direction: called ranboo mods homophobic, or said they were mad ranboo felt pressured into making a romantic relationship canon ‘just so people could have mlm rep.’

i dont want to go into detail about the drama that happened that night because apparently official people follow me and i dont want to stir it up or have them come “clarify” things. im just saying what we talked about.

ranboo in typical ranboo fashion apologized quickly and seriously. he was deeply sorry for possibly offending anyone with how he’d portrayed his rp relationship with tubbo, and he also assured everyone the mod thing was just a miscommunication.

he said he would talk to tubbo and they’d decide once and for all whether it was platonic or romantic, and then announce so everyone would know.

it’s now been a few months and we've had no word from them on that development. we still have no clue.

now, here’s my opinion:

i want to take ranboos word for it that it was a miscommunication with his mods, but... we had it on good authority from people on the wiki team and people in the discord with the mods that (while it was happening) they were really going after the wiki admins, and also made some weird comments about it. that combined with the way ranboo seemingly had no clue (considering he canonized their romance that very same day).... it’s very. sus of the mods.

then there’s the canon we’ve got since then. although occasionally adults in the room have called it a “platonic marriage” and tubbo once (back when it first started) called it a “plankton tectonic” marriage, in roleplay it’s been... kind of not that. tubbo and ranboo make nsfw jokes about each other in character, and their characters also share a master bedroom and bed in the mansion. there's also the way c!tommy really thinks it’s a romance between them as well, and they agree with and play off that— for instance confirming that they “fell in love” when he asked, or ranboo confirming that they “make out on occasion”.

people will still put platonic on their art and posts, imo, because they’re worried about breaking ranboo and tubbo’s irl boundaries by looking like they ship them. or even just being accused of shipping real life minors. and that’s a valid fear to have.

the thing is though: c!bee duo are not cc!bee duo. they’re roleplay characters. cc!bee duo are not okay with being shipped, but they made their characters get canonically married, and call each other “husbands”. so it’s okay to write the word “husband” in your comic without adding “platonic” to it, i promise.

telling the ccs that their characters have to be platonic is... weird. it comes off as not only babying them, but also as saying teens can’t date without it being gross. which isn’t true.

(this is why seeing people overuse “platonic husband” so much bothers me. like, they ARE husbands. you can just say it. what are you trying to hide...?)

do i think they’re canonically romantic? ehh, its likely. it’s still okay to interpret them as platonic, because again, it’s hard to tell where jokes end and roleplay begins. like, maybe it’s jokes in the rp too, and c!bee duo are just friends. friends can and should be allowed to make jokes like that with each other! aro & ace marriages exist!

or, maybe it’s actually part of the rp, and they’re very much romantic. we don’t know!

some people say they could be a qpr (queerplatonic romance), which i could see. (a qpr is a relationship that fluctuates between, or can’t quite be sorted into, “romantic” and “platonic”. people in a qpr can do romantic things while having platonic feelings for each other). in my opinion this is a very valid interpretation as well!

are c!bee duo romantic?

its likely, but you can still interpret them however you like!

should i put /p on bee duo content?

ehhh? i find it annoying when it’s overused (as do others), but if you’re worried you can. its up to preference. putting it too much is weird though

should i put /p on things cc! bee duo do?

no. you’re not the one saying it so you can’t decide the tone tags for that. imagine you said something to your friend and a random stranger came up and was like “haha but that was /p right...?”

can i ship c!bee duo?

mmm. i’m not sure on this one. they are canonically married and very flirtatious, but the ccs don’t like being shipped and they’re close enough to being the ccs that actively shipping might be against boundaries.

can i treat c!bee duo as romantic?

yes. literally just don’t be weird about it. it’s not that hard! you can understand that two characters are husbands without making it weird

here’s the most important thing: boundaries. cc bee duo still haven’t told us what their preferences and canon is about this whole thing.

right now, i am assuming based on what they already show us they’re comfortable with, but! the second they give us any more info! all these opinions will change!

i am only going off what they do. i would never want to cross boundaries at all. i just wish they would make theirs a little more clear.

what things are not okay to send as an ask?

pls don’t send in anything to do with cannibalism / needles / anything seriously nsfw (jokes r fine for all these, but talking about needles makes me uncomfortable, and i’m ace so nsfw stuff also makes me uncomfy). try to tag main triggers if you’re sending a dark/angsty ask, and don’t send me theories trying to diagnose characters with mental illnesses / neurodivergence pls (ie. claiming a character has aspd/depression/schziphrenia/etc). 

headcanons and ideas are also fine to send, but outright requesting me for writing puts a lot of pressure on me when i’ve already got almost 1k asks to get through LMAO, so no outright writing requests pls!!

pls also try to avoid sending asks about permanent death theories re: c!dream, or criticism surrouning ccs! avoiding direct discourse re: c!dream would be nice too - if someone comes onto my posts and criticises him (or cc!dream), i’m gonna respond, but otherwise i try to ignore it because they’re huge hyperfixations for me and it makes me upset to see!

going in depth below the cut

the first set is a rather simple one. you can see that for my usual coloring i went for some basic stuff (brightness, higher contrast, bring out the colors more, etc.) which is why i wanted to try something more muted for the new coloring. i still tried to keep the skin color and reds in tact but tone the rest down a bit. i also did not add as much brightness and even added some exposure to make it a bit more.. pastel? i’m not the biggest fan of this type of coloring for gifs but for edits i really like it! i should maybe try it out more...

the second set was all about colors (or lack thereof)! for my usual coloring i did something i’ve been doing a lot recently, especially for gfx: try to find one color that’s already present and really amplify it. here i went with purple which was quite easy to achieve. usually you can get quite good results when going from blue to purple or even pink; yellow or green are a different story tho 😅 for the new coloring i went into the opposite direction and tried to get rid of most colors and vibrancy except for skin color. i also toned down the contrast a bit (tho i think i would like it better with higher contrast (i’m a high contrast bitch in case you haven’t noticed 😂))

with shi de and shu yi i once again amplified the colors that were already present (i love a good old cyan/blue glow). i also put a lot of brightness and contrast in there and made it a bit more vibrant - nothing new. now for the different coloring i decided to tone down on the contrast (once again...) and make it warmer, giving it a slightly green/yellow-ish tint. i might actually enjoy that one more than my usual coloring for this scene....

Why is your favorite comfort character your comfort character?

Bc he’s pretty and smart and he has a sexy voice and a metal arm and his tiddies are nice and so are his abs and he’s so so tall and he’s like mean but not so mean that it’s awful but like he could be awful if he wanted to, but he’d never be mean to you unless you deserve it because when he loves someone he loves them way too much and I just think he’s cute so yeah 💖

When did you realize you found your comfort character?

Funny story, one of my friends has the same last name as Anakin’s actor and I saw this pic of him when I looked him up:

and I just thought he was super super hot, but I’d never seen Star Wars before, I didn’t even know what the difference between Anakin and Luke was, or Obi-Wan and Han-Solo, and I didn’t know that Anakin was Darth Vader or anything. And then my friend sent an edit of that shirtless scene in rots and I just— I just about busted all over myself ngl 😳🤚🏻

So I finally sat down and forced myself to watch all the movies, basically fell in love with that stupid mf, and a couple months later at the start of quarantine I made this blog and never looked back 🥰🥰🥰

But it was really weird for me ngl, cause like, he’s not even my type. My type is dark hair, dark eyes, hates everyone, quiet, introverted, detests the idea of love.

But Anakin’s like... lighter hair, light eyes, Chad to the Max, loves ppl so much he kills children, mommy’s boy, car nerd, dramatic, etc.

-both douchebags

-both have anger issues

-both been fucked over one too many times

-both holding on by a thin fucking strand

-both hate children

-both chads 😏

-both love hugs but are too afraid to admit it

-both hate meditating but probably should

Differences:

-he’s an extrovert and I cry in public situations

1. why did you choose your url?

It's a pun that came to me like 5 years ago and that I found so good that I instantly took the url. I started using it maybe 6 months after that and I'm never going back.

2. any side blogs?

Nah. I'm putting it all in the same pot, making a content stew babeyyy.

3. how long have you been on tumblr?

I think we're reaching 10 years in like, less than 6 months.

4. do you have a queue tag?

No, because I've never used and will never use the queue.

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

No clue. I think one of my twitter friends had one and I decided to check it out ? I quickly let my Twitter wither as I moved here tho.

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

I like robots. I like the absurdity of this robot trying to "eat" an admittedly pretty good-looking hamburger. At this point I couldn't see myself switching to smth else now after years.

7. why did you choose your header?

Because it's one of the most satisfying pictures I've ever seen. I love it when stuff is neatly aligned and perfectly regular. I definitely could've done it myself so I felt like it matched my vibe.

8. what’s your post with the most notes?

Technically it's the "Kettle that boils your water by lowering the pressure" one — I think it's near 13k. But I'm 50% sure my screenshot tags on that one 100k notes post are the reason people have started using "tags passing peer-review" to talk about adding someone's tags to the main body of a post.

9. how many mutuals do you have?

Technically around 150, but most of them have long left tumblr. I actively talk/interact to like.. maybe 10-20 people on here I'd say? And on top of that there's maybe that number again that I don't actively talk to but feel like I could hit up and start chatting with again.

10. how many followers do you have?

A smidge over 1000. Most of them are inactive and/or bots, even if I block the really obvious ones.

11. how many people do you follow?

Just under 350, but a lot of these have been inactive for years.

A couple.

There's huge variations in my tumblr use. These days I tend to come less and less as I'm finding more interesting ways to spend my time and attention, but there are still days here and there where I'm gonna spend a couple of hours on here during the day.

Once or twice. Never too bad, never got in any drama.

15. how do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts?

Oh fuck those. I either ignore or reblog from someone higher up in the reblog chain.

16. do you like tag games?

They're pretty fun ! Especially if they're image-based or p lightweight. I actually have a backlog of tag games like this one where you just really can't do them on mobile (and I'm on mobile most of the time) so I'm sorry to anyone that tagged me on smth like this and I never did it.

17. do you like ask games?

I don't reblog them often but I like to send some to ppl when I see those getting reblogged.

18. which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?

A couple actually !

@queerlynx has that one Neko Atsume as real cats post that's just huge.

@sassypixiestrashcan got that one solarpunk post going, too.

@p0stmarxed is both famous (many good posts, renowned chef and knife owner, milf) and infamous (turn signal discourse, velociraptor sloppy) on here - a fact I know she despises.

@turing-tested of many good takes, even if he's more known for some of his funnier posts.

@asundergrowth for a bunch of things, even if not all of them on this one blog, because they're talented in more ways than I can count.
