Stiles ends up arguing with his father and heads towards the forest to calm down.

When he gets there, he finds a wolf trapped in a bear trap, Stiles helps him free himself and he rips his own shirt off to help with the wolf's bleeding.

Stiles notices the wolf following him, the wolf insistently never leaves him, so Stiles decides to adopt him, even though he knows that having a pet wolf is not appropriate.

Upon returning home, he finds his father sleeping, he decided to go straight to bed, the wolf sleeps on the floor, however, in the middle of the night, Stiles swears he feels a strong, warm body hugging him from behind

There's something familiar about this house, and it takes a while for Detective Stilinski to realise he's been here before. It's been derelict for as long as he can remember (when he actually can remember it, that is; the house has a way of slipping from his mind). So why is he suddenly certain a family used to live here, one with a kid he used to play with as a child? How could he forget?

The memory hits him, cold and sharp. He can't be any older than nine or ten, sitting inside his dad's squad car in front of this very house. Something in the way his dad instructed him to stay in the car makes him certain that something is very, very wrong.

His dad eventually stumbles out of the house, ashen-faced. "This is Sheriff Stilinski, immediate backup required. We've got a 187 and possible 505. I repeat, 187 and possible 505."

That's when Stiles starts to cry, silent tears streaming down his face. Murder and possible kidnapping.

"Where are the children?" his dad says, to himself rather than Stiles. "Where are-"

Stiles snaps out of the memory, his heart racing. How could he have forgotten about this? Why can he still not remember their names? His dad is no longer around to ask, but Stiles isn't a child anymore. He's a detective. He'll work out what happened here himself.
