Overanalyzing 4KOTA Chapter 142 instead of just waiting for more info (1/2?)

Honestly? I'm writing King's side of this separately, because it's about time I started talking about him here l and I know I can go on forever about him. That field of over-analysis needs its own house. I would go off about him first but then I'd forget his kids entirely and I don't want to do that to them... Speaking of--

So silly. So precious. Berte is so Helbram-coded and I'm sure that's intentional resemblance.

You know...I wonder which of their traits were inherited from Diane's parents. Probably the golden hair on almost half of them at least. Sixtus and Tioreh's pink hair looks more like a genetic mutation...unless their hair color is inherited from the leaf color of the Sacred Tree? That's possible too.

Diane seems less energetic since becoming a mother. She's settled down and has been shown to be gentle more often than bubbly, which was the impression she gave me in the original series. I'm assuming she hasn't fought since entering the Fairy Realm, too. She's put the stress of the Holy War behind her, and I'm happy that she seems content with her lots of babies. I wonder if she'll get to hear about Dolores once the current issues are over. I'm sure hearing she's Nasiens's adoptive big sister will be a shock. Diane deserves to know that.

The way Tioreh says this makes me suspect Puck is the one behind Nasiens and Myrtel's switcheroo. He must really love that "prank" in that case. Regardless of who was behind it, though, that's actually fucked up. A fairy trolled their own king by swapping their first child with a human, probably knowing exactly what issues both kids would be put in. I can't call this just a prank. I love King to death, but his people are their own kind of awful...

For this moment, let's glance back at how she reacted to that news at first.

Tioreh must have been suspecting this the whole time Nasiens was here, but this reveal may be the moment she started to seriously believe it, if not when Nasiens admitted to feeling healthier in the Fairy Realm. After this, she started to open up about her siblings more and telling Nasiens that he's like them--especially like Phao. All of this is stuff that Nasiens didn't know about since he met her two years ago. All of the tension in this family over Nasiens and Myrtel has been building up for so long...and right now we're watching it all cave in. I'm sure King and Diane had good intentions for hiding the truth, but hiding it's not working anymore.

And Diane knows it's not working anymore. I'm stuck on her asking "Is that bad for you?" Why is she asking that of all things? Is that what King and Diane were so worried about when they decided to never come out about this? Did they think their kids would be upset with having a human for an older brother?

Okay, but maybe that's not all that they considered. Maybe they got worried about how their people outside of their family would react to their theories being confirmed. If that happened, as unfortunate as it is, Mertyl would probably get more ostracized than he was. With that in mind, I'm sure his parents made that choice to protect him from some of the problems he'd inevitably go through. It's a nice thought that way, but this was still a bad call. They made too many assumptions of their own kids' feelings.

In other news...Phao was lurking... Now they're all gonna know and clear up this misunderstanding with their parents, right?

Anyway, I feel like I've written too much for one post, so I'll go on about the rest of the chapter tomorrow. Closing this part with this:

I'm sure this is no surprise.

My followers wouldn't expect me to not talk about all this new Fairy lore and the little royals, would you?

All-in-all we actually didn't learn very much lore-wise. We learned that changelings are a thing. And that Harlequin has outlawed this type of "prank" to keep peace with humanity.

Now I'm not really a theorist. I analyze what's explicitly in front of us.

However...I'd be lying if I said I don't LOVE the theories going around right now and TOTALLY subscribe to them. Nasiens being a Fairy, Mertyl being a human, all because of changeling shinanigans. LOVE IT.

And speaking of our Fairy prince. I actually really like Mertyl. He's rough no doubt, but I'm glad someone is taking the threat of humanity seriously. That being said, I don't super appreciate him commandeering other people's trauma for his argument like that.

Controversial opinion here, but Tioreh is super annoying XD But it's not a bother really, she's just her mother's daughter that's all. And I'm not really a huge fan of Diane. Still it's fine.

Now I know I just said I'm not one to theorize,

Is anyone else getting Helbram vibes off this kid? Maybe it's just the expression, I don't know, but it'd be cool if got to be reincarnated.

I'd still like to know why Tioreh and this brother have their wings so early. Every one of these children is 16 or less, they should VERY much be immature why both Fairy AND Giant standards.

That littlest brother over there is the only one following the rules...

And is also very cutely just the spitting image of his dad :p just like how one of his oldest sisters looks just like Diane.

And the youngest daughter seems to reflect the Giant blood just as flawlessly as the younger brother does his Fairy half. So that's neat. There's a really good mix of how genetics can present among this litter of theirs.

And this bit's not really analytical at all but I just wanna say

My god, he is just so pretty!!

I think it's fun to see all the siblings laughing here, except Mertyl of course cuz he's not pleased with any of this, and...

That youngest brother. He's not laughing either. In fact we don't see him make much if and expression at all in the whole chapter... Wonder what his little deal is. Maybe he's just a neutral personality, -not common with Fairies nor much like his mother- or maybe he's on his brother's side of the issue?

Another aside I want to add; the older daughter the pig tails, and the brother with wings are almost exactly what I imagined for the two fan kids I made up for Harlequin and Diane. So I hope they have good names.

I can't wait to find out everyone else's name, and learn more about this changeling business. Where is the story going with all this I wonder? Was it just the introduction of a plot device to give us these theories about Nasiens and Mertyl? Or is this actually going to be a conflict?

Either way, I'm always glad to see more of the Fairies. Of course.

Seven Deadly Headcanons

Or seven thoughts I have about the Seven Deadly Sins.

Ban has definitely gone Gordon Ramsey on Meliodas at some point for not only his terrible cooking but also because he can't organize a kitchen for shit.

Ban spent several nights reorganizing the Boar Hat's kitchen and has a system for keeping things tidy. Meliodas once messed with this organization system and Ban's response was putting up a sign that said Meliodas was banned from the kitchen. The ban was lifted only when Meliodas put things back in their place. He's banned from cooking but not from being in the kitchen.

Due to his rough circumstances growing up, Ban is very insistent on the Sins getting their three meals a day. He'll even make accommodations or adjustments to dishes to make sure that they can appeal to others. No one is going hungry when Ban's around. Even Gowther - who probably doesn't need to eat due to him being a doll - is not immune from this.

Gowther has a soft spot for romance novels and he and Merlin have a lil' book club where they discuss their current reads. Escanor and Diane joined in eventually.

I feel that most of the Sins would be bilingual multilingual headcanons my beloved . Meliodas, Gowther, and Merlin would know the demon's language. Meliodas would try learning the goddesses' language because of Elizabeth and Merlin would already know it and she'd probably know Welsh. King would know the fairy's language and whatever Liones' vernacular is. And while Ban may not be as fluent in it, he's trying to learn the fairy's language from Elaine and King. And yes, Benwick would be a bilingual kingdom and you can pry that headcanon from my cold, dead hands. Also, Diane would know both Liones vernacular and the giants' language. Actually, King would also know the giants' language. Escanor would know multiple human languages.

Ban was lowkey having the mother of all panics when Elaine was pregnant because he didn't want to mess up as a parent and wanted Lancelot to have a good childhood. So when Lancelot and Jericho disappeared, that time was just really rough for him because emotions are a bitch and he was just constantly blaming himself. If he had done something, then his son wouldn't have disappeared.

During Lancelot's disappearance, Ban developed a tradition of pouring out a bottle of Aberdeen on the night of his son's disappearance. Also, he was kind of forced into more healthy ways of coping because without his immortality, he couldn't fall back into self-harm. And he couldn't drink himself senseless because he had a kingdom to lead as the king of Benwick.

Well hello there, it’s me, back with more food!

At long last, I’ve gotten around to Diane, our favourite giant. The leotard thing never appealed to me so let’s give her something more suited to her, because you don’t need to show cleavage to be sexy, am I right ladies? Took some inspiration from her season 2 outfit for the skirt and short, and the rest was inspired by a few of her Grand Cross outfits. The fur collar felt like a nice touch since Envy is wanting things that others have, much like how Ban—the other one with a fur collar—just wants things in general. Greed and Envy go hand in hand, oftentimes. Finally I gave her some brass knuckles because… you know what? She deserves them. The Giants are a warrior culture, too, and Diane’s abilities centre primarily around destruction in battle, so why not give her the means to just punch things?

Yes, you do see that right: Diane’s eyes are now green! Her purple eyes weren’t bad by any means, but I really wanted to include some green in her design that wasn’t her clothing (don’t even get me started on the New Holy War outfit) since the saying is “green with envy.” The inspiration to make her eyes green is because envy makes you want things that you SEE other people have, and from Malcolm X’s quote: “Envy blinds men and makes it impossible for them to think clearly.”

Look at me being all smart and stuff ☺️

I debated having her brand be a tattoo as well, since it wasn’t the Giants who sentenced her for her crimes; however, there really wouldn’t be anything preventing her from scarring, so they just… made the biggest branding iron ever specifically for her. It is now on display in Liones as a type of tourist attraction.

As for her little backpack thing, I find it odd that she had that in her initial design with no explanation. So, I imagine that when the Sins were on the road 10 years ago, Diane is the one who primarily carried their camping supplies. And it’s all still in there! Along with some other select belongings that we may get into later… ;)

Diane was a little tricky i wasn't sure if wanted to make her outfit green because of the color envy but I quickly changed my mind. She's more savages as she's been on her own for awhile now. The markings on her body are in rune. Made her face more sharp as well as her eyes based off her early look in the manga which I liked better.

Her stomach says her name and the word creation,love and heart and her neck says love as well. Cheeks says Earth, forehead says Dawn and lastly her left leg says the word envy.

My "Nanatsu No Taizai" rewrite/redesign Pt. 1

(Nakaba has proven to have great ideas for the manga but doesn't push his full potential alongside, including weird shit and not answering certain questions. If you have any questions or anything please go to my ask box for me to answer.)

• Meliodas is gonna be more flirty towards Elizabeth, including making sexual innuendo words towards her instead of him full on sexually assaulting her.

• Elizabeth is now 20 years old instead of 16. I have no clue why nakaba made her sixteen when meliodas is a full-on grown adult because that makes it creepy.

•Now that Elizabeth is 20 years old, that makes Veronica 22 and Margaret 26

•Meliodas and Elizabeth's curse are the same with one change. I find it weird how their was a child reincarnation of her and how Meliodas said he loved all of them. From now on, all of Elizabeth's reincarnation's are all adults, and there was one child reincarnation, but Meliodas loved her in a familia way. The child reincarnation existed to show that the curse is ruthless and cruel no matter the age, etc.

•Meliodas didn't know Elizabeth as a child because I hate how nakaba did that since that makes their relationship so much creepier. Meliodas still meets the sins, grandmaster, etc, but he doesn't meet Elizabeth until the start of the story.

•Meliodas has ptsd from all of reincarnation deaths, and instead of Elizabeth getting knocked out for the reason of his demonic power getting out of control. I imagine instead it would be some random girl who accidentally witnessed the death of the grandmaster and ran to warn the sins (basically what child elizabeth did). Meliodas lost control because he got ptsd flashbacks of liz's death and that makes him lose control, it ends the same way with merlin sealing away his power.

•Elaine and ban met when they were children since that would make their relationship make much more sense and make elaine looking like a child not creepy. They knew each other for a much longer time than the og since it doesn't make sense.

•King and Diane met when they were both pre-teens since Elaine is younger than king, and it would make their relationship not creepy. Diane is now way older than Elizabeth in both giant and human years. (I hate how nakaba made Diane younger then Elizabeth in human years, which makes Diane 15 and that's so fucking creepy.)

•Elaine alongside King both developed their adult wings during the battle with mael alongside new adult forms. Elaine now looks like a grown adult. Yay! :D (No, she hasn't changed back since I hate how nakaba made her go back to her loli form, and I hate it so much.)

•I wanna develop Elaine's abilities real quick because I find it weird that no one really realizes how powerful Elaine is. I mean, yeah, she isn't as powerful as king, but she is still powerful . She literally guarded the fountain of youth for hundreds of years and killed people who proved a threat to the forest. Elaine still has the power of wind manipulation, but it's more frequent and shown in the story than the og.

•Elizabeth's season 1 outfit is now her season 2 outfit and no one can tell me otherwise :)

•Elaine and King both have those fairy tattoos on their face alongside having fairy ears since they don't look magical or look like fairies to me in the og. The whole fairy race has their own language, and the siblings both speak it occasionally.
