So... I am attempting to move my FC's house, lol 🙃 on a congested server no less. I might be a wee bit crazy.

I thought with that being the case, I should get some (potentially) last shots of Mari at the Lavender Beds FC house. It's not like I can never come back to Lavender Beds if we get the plot- and if we do get it, I'm probably going to move her apartment there (to LB). I just figure it won't be the same. The decorations, the ambiance, the plot, etc.

In the midst of taking my Astro's gpose shots, I swear I summoned rain 😂 It was early dawn, bright and sunny, I was waiting for what felt like forever for the bright sunlight to pass because the shading was sharp as heck from her Globe- over her face, then suddenly- rain. I was like :o okay. I can work with this. Infact it made the wind element on her Byakko's Ephemeris more apparent and that was a win-win in my book. (I'm one of those weirdos who love rain btw. I could just sit in it. I'm getting wet? it's cold? who cares.)

ALSO. I've only recently started using a headset when playing (usually play with speakers), and I got a spatial sounds setup with the headset I use. My 'Mighty Thundersparks' (Ramuh daggers) make a 'bzzz' humming sound when I unsheathe them. HOW am I just learning about these things now?! After all this time of playing!?!? Hello??? I have been using these same daggers practically since I hit level 50 on NIN, probably 2-2.5ish years ago, give or take. akdjsdlk. (it wasn't my first class but it was high priority)

That concludes my screenie dump and all the inner workings of my brain space with it. In several days, lessee if we get that plot 🫣 (my luck is bad, I'm honestly not holding my breath, lol. We can hope and try though! 👍🏻)

FINALLY got a ton of little chores done, including doing all the dishes! First time I've been able to do all the dishes without agonizing pain, now that I have 9.5 lbs off my chest (from top surgery)

Feeling so much more relaxed. Work went very well today. Therapy went well. Having a lot of thoughts (contemplative, productive) and going to sleep well tonight I hope. c:

Learned today that Grist has interesting music opinions btw.

Things we know now...

- Similar music taste to me, adores Johnny Cash, Billy Joel, would probably love Simon and Garfunkle, any folk music!

- Uncertain about Nine Inch Nails...... xD Prefers Johnny Cash's rendition of "Hurt" (correct choice tbh)

- LOVES System of a Down, likes men who push their voices in strange ways and aren't afraid to get Weird with it. LOVES that they are "violently/aggressively caring" (songs are extremely human, sympathetic of the working class and vulnerable communities in a hostile capitalist society while being very textured, aggressive, bitterly humorous, and metal)

- LOVES Foresight--seems to be his favorite band right now. Favorite/most emotional response Foresight songs: "Friends (I Won't Be There for You)", "The Time Traveler's Wife", and "The Room is Filled With People That Love You"

- (But likes all their songs in general)

Already know that Neumes' band of choice is Blind Guardian and about what I imagine his singing voice as. Kreel is Rhapsody/Rhapsody of Fire all the way, but Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, Hammerfall (also a big favorite of Grist but their songs are hit or miss) make him happy. c:

I know most of these aren't the most wild/uncommon music artists but it's whatever. xD They're some of MY favorite anyway. Though sorry I haven't been able to get into NIN myself. But thought I'd try it with Grist since he was so moved by "Hurt".

And for "Closer" mostly... I could practically FEEL the 👀🤨 emoji face he was making but in a... wordless, "are you seeing this?" kind of way. Like. Hmm. He REALLY wasn't sure what to make of it. Tilting his head and making a strange/EXTREMELY AMUSED but caught off guard face about it. xD Did remind me just how Complicated he feels about very nsfw topics I suppose. But it did make him feel a bit uncomfortable and he was a bit baffled by it. Didn't listen to much more though.

Need to think of more music to try. He absolutely adores Johnny Cash and really loves cowboys. He feels that the "ideal" cowboy is just another being of the same blood/type/soul that he is and feels extremely close to that. I jokingly thought to him that it sounds like he's cowboy-kin but he seems to be taking it a bit more seriously than just a joke.

Just interesting to me... so far figuring out he has a very interesting identity relationship to cowboys, unicorns, and horses. He'll figure it out though with time I'm sure. All that matters is he's happy, taking care of his mental health (and mine) in a healthy way, and... just being gentle to himself/his past.

If it takes strange cowboy fantasies and art and things like that to help that along, then that's wonderful, truly. c:>

my personal headcanons around the Cuivienenyarna are that it didn’t actually go down like that at all. it’s called a “legend” and a “fairy tale” and a “piece of counting-lore” - all this points to it being a story first and foremost, rather than history.

and looking at the names of figures like Imin, Tata, and Enel - those are literally numbers. I don’t think they actually existed; I think they were invented after the fact in order to give order to a rather chaotic time in the history of the Quendi.

The story is too neat and tidy to be real. and then later on, as the elves who were present were lost or killed or became absorbed in their new lives, the story got tangled up with history, until no one was quite certain what was true and what was made up.

that is to say, there are probably kernels of truth in there! I like the idea of there being 144 Unbegotten elves, so I keep that as “true.” but I don’t like the idea of three male elves being the First To Awaken, or of their wives just adding -ie to their husband’s names; these seem like later additions to enforce norms that had been established within elvish culture, a justification for a form of patriarchy.

I also don’t like the concept of them all waking with a “preordained spouse” - I’m really really not into the concepts of Destined Mates / soulmates, choice is extremely important to me when it comes to that kind of relationship and I think “destiny” or “preordination” takes away from that. also, I’m aro, so I’m never going to accept “well they all just fell in love immediately and got married” as a valid answer. plus, it’s just a better story if they have to go and find out if they want to bond, who they want to bond to, how to bond in the first place!!

when it comes to bonds without choice, I think family (aka siblings) is the best way to explore that - I do think some Quendi awoke with bonds! but those bonds were with their siblings, not their spouses. there’s more than one kind of soul connection!
