There is still more to be told of Nesta's story, I don't think that can be denied, but not at the expense of Elain's own journey.
Nesta got her HEA in Silver Flames. We know her character is set up to continue building up the Valkrie, we know she was left the Prison lands for a reason.
But that is a journey that has far reaching consequences beyond that of a Gwynriel romance. Possibly consequences that tie into the new series SJM has planned? Especially when you consider that the ACOTAR series is marketed as the journey of Feyre and SF, despite being Nesta's book still revolved around Feyre and Rhys and how Nesta's struggles were difficult for Feyre as well. If SJM plans on writing books in this world that are not strongly connected to Feyre as a central character then it would make sense if she published them as a new series.
The Prison lands are connected to time travel, portals to other worlds, maybe Merrill and possible threats that are bigger than what is going on across the continent, future threats.
Spring, Beron, Koschei, the fae in Vallahan and the treaty are things connected to all their world at present, things that were a concern long before Nesta was left with Gwydion, long before Bryce arrived and they found out what they did in HOFAS.
Right now, no one but Rhys and the IC have had access to the Prison lands. The Illyrians are a NC plot. The Valkyries are still a NC plot. Putting the focus on the Night Court in the next book means the NC has turned their backs on what's going on in the lands outside the NC borders when those things were a pressing concern in SF. When Rhys said that they'd focus on the Illyrians once the climate elsewhere was settled. When Mor said she'd train with the Valkyrie after the business with Valhallan was dealt with.
Does it make sense to ignore Koschei, the treaty, Beron and Spring for the 6-9 months a Gwynriel book would take?
In terms of romance and tension, none currently exists between Gwynriel. I definitely think that's where SJM is headed but they've known one another for a bit over half a year, their interactions while hinting at something hopeful for their future did not actually result in a true setup for a possible relationship at this time (no real tension, no reveal of a bond) and I doubt Gwyn would go from leaving the library for the first time in two years to being mated and living elsewhere within that same year. I doubt Az would go from Mor and Elain to Gwyn within the same year.
Not when Elain has spent the last year helping those around Velaris. Not when Elain offered to search for the Trove, something dangerous that even Nesta was afraid of (Gwyn is brave for taking the steps she did with training and her part in the Rite but she didn't actively choose to put herself in danger the way Elain did). Elain who chose to go to the Hewn City despite its cruelty bothering her versus Gwyn who was unsure she'd leave for Nesta's mating ceremony despite the Rite. Not when the tension that exists between Elucien has been around since book 3 (but was presented to us in book 2). Not when Lucien has been struggling to find a true home for how many books now? Not when Lucien still has no idea who his real father is and his brother and mother are being tortured and abused by his other "father".
We have hints for a Gwynriel story for sure but we have unresolved plots surrounding both Elain and Lucien that have needed answered for much longer.
Nesta's entire life has been built around being Elain's protector and her now struggling to find her way after her own HEA seems strongly tied to the possibility that Elain has left the Night Court and Nesta being unsure of who she is knowing Elain is off on her own.
These books aren't just about the sisters because SJM plans on continuing on with this world however it's initial arc revolved around Feyre, Nesta, and Elain. Their individual journeys and how their journeys affected one another.
In order to close out that initial arc, to give Feyre some peace in seeing both her sisters mated and where they belong, Elain being next makes sense to me. Then with Elain's story finished and peace secured in their world beyond the NCs borders, SJM can shift the series into a new direction which would include resolving the issues with the Illyrians, building up the Valkrie, and having the NC as the main defenders to threats that exist outside their world which includes Nesta's continuing journey.

so!! i finished watching runs of phantom liberty... and vin's getting a new canon. this dlc and its new ending are canon for him.
i just think the storyline does a great job at showing what vin really wants, and what it takes for him to realize that.
dlc storyline spoilers under the cut, even if they're pretty out of context/explained horribly.
also if ya see this twice very sorry posted this on my rp blog too but i post abt vinny a lot here so y'all get the character development too ♡ i'm so fucking normal (lie)
when this happens is after? you talk to the vdb. so vin's already been up shit's creek by this point. there's the shit with ev. the shit with takemura. the shit with the cados. he's been tugged around.
and then? then his relic gets hacked! and he's told to get his ass to the most dangerous part of nc? alone? yeah. yeah. he's not happy. johnny isn't either, but at this point vin's at a low and honestly could see him following songbird hoping to die.
and then he gets everything thrown on him.
- hey i need your help saving the president.
- hey im the president i need your help getting out of here, the attack came from the inside and i dont trust anybody.
- hey youre now a federal intelligence agent and tour making contact with a sleeper agent bc my runner that contacted you went missing thx.
he's already there, fuck it. maybe some gonk-brain will kill him. but. but!
there is a part of him still kinda hopeful. maybe one more step and he gets the help he needs. one more contact. one more task. and it just. keeps. going.
he's pulled into the monotonous bullshit he tried so hard to escape from. being pulled around on all these fronts again, especially as it comes out songbird is the traitor; this has been in the works for what? months now? because she knows about militech's own version of soulkiller and she, being led on by meyers, was used as a bow and made a portal for the blackwall to conduct govt espionage.
but it just. keeps. getting. worse!
songbird leaves him for dead. reed is stonewalling him. alex is fucking dead. johnny's quieter than usual. he's all alone in fucking dogtown and the only person he feels REMOTE TRUST for is feeding him nothing. and it sucks! but he's still trying to believe that he'll get that out.
and there's so many good convos with the characters in this dlc about morality, mortality, and consequence.
and it ultimately ends with vin trusting reed and them breaking songbird outta maxtac custody, bc surprise the blackwall connection makes you go cyberpsycho. and she makes it to the derelict militech lab that u go into alone alone, bc johnny gets sliced and ur comms are fucked. and there's this whole sequence of almost dying, being hunted alien isolation style by a blackwall ai controlled spider mech, and then you find songbird and she BEGS YOU to kill her. BEGS. and vin just... cant.
it's ironic coming from him considering so many of his dumb decisions are an expression of his suicidality, but he helps. he continues to help!
and even after, he's treated like shit. reed keeps stonewalling him. president myers is a cunt who cordially reminds him of the oath he took and the nice, tight leash she has around his neck.
and then? when he's finally "rescued"? ||he doesnt even say goodbye to anyone. and that hurts the most. arasaka ending sucked, sure, but this? no rooftop talk with misty. no goodbye to vik. just a text explaining he'll be outta town for a bit. and then it ends up being TWO YEARS. HE'S IN A COMA FOR TWO YEARS. ALONE. IN LANGLEY.
and when he wakes up, reed continues. to. stonewall. him. keeps it vague. apologizes, sure, but even now he cannot bring himself to actually care. which is understandable when you look at his character but. vin is livid.
there was no closure. no guarantee he'd even wake up. he could have up and died and nobody would ever fucking know!
and then he gets back to nc and... oh.
oh things changed. things really changed:
- vik became a corpo doc, working for some zetatech corp. he says he didn't have a choice.
- misty is just gone. you run into her after getting jumped by street mercs, and she's on her way to poland.
- arasaka? fucking gone. takemura and hanako went into everything alone and *hanako just up and fucking died.* no explanation. dunno if yori killed her or what. but takemura is in hiding now bc they believe he killed hanako *and* saburo. then yori stepped down as ceo all together.
- didnt see the others' calls so idk what happens with panam, judy, and river, but it can't be much better for them.
and i just...
the whole idea of vin being forced into the background being both a relief and a terror to him is so... it's so good. the idea that he lost everything again, but he now has control over that.
it fucks him up, that's for sure. the dialog you have with reed? with vik? with misty? some real shit. he's on the verge of that suicidality again, but he lived. he can live. he has control over that now.
and it's for the first time in a long time, considering the fact he worked with arasaka counter-intel. he awaited death for so long, knowing it could come at any second, that there's a... bitterness. in losing that feeling. a confusion in the fact he can just. exist without consequence.
this is really the meat of it tho. the last bit. the fact that vin is both the exact same man he was and someone entirely new.
the fact that he changed and didn't. that he's messy and there is no truly happy ending for him, that he's just... human.
that in the end, he still fucked over johnny (except at least in the arasaka ending, he was kinda understanding to a point. here? he's just angry. dejected. vin's last words to him were that he couldn't forgive him for the shit he's done to his body) and still LOST the game of life.
he still lost. but he lost in the best way possible.
the legend of v is out there, but he doesn't have to be that. live up to it. he can just be... him. and i think that's all he really wants, in the end. to learn who he is and to be him. a chance to just exist without consequence. to not have to make choices on who gets harmed and why. to make choices of dire urgency. to just... breathe.
it just took so much for him to realize that, and it's going to weigh on him for god knows how long (if not his whole life, whatever remains of it).

-bascially, thinking that lobotomizing people was a way to fix world problems, instead of dunno, going to therapy,
-thinking that all people want what she wants,
-thinking that because she was emotionally hurt and could not deal with it, all people should be deprived of making their own decisions and meeting consequences of their actions,
-doing Luthor crap and then being sad people see her as Luthor doing Luthor crap,

why Sakupen Circles is NOT an unoriginal wave hell circles level (sakupen circles review and why i like it)
p.s. I AM TALKING ABOUT THE ORIGINAL 1.9 V HERE BECAUSE THE REMAKE HAS SOME REPLACED PARTS!!!!!!!!! OK?????? YES
okay, so, reading this title, you might think
"well SLIDY of CCOURSE IT IS! its a 2022 top 1 wave impossible 4k g502 60fps showcase 360hz slaughterhouse upcoming nine circles of darkness level! "
NO. i have liked this level since 2018 (over half of its lifespan HA!!!!) and you're WRONG and HERE IS WHY!!!!!!!!!!!
(also, i wanted to add videos of all of the parts, but u cant add more than 1 video per post on tumblr i think :( so heres the whole level)
#1 - THE PREDROP
the predrop of this level is probably the least original part, but its still pretty unique. the first 2 jumps are nothing i remember seeing in any other rated level, abusing hitboxes is something people seem to be scared to do. the next clicks are in a mirror portal (self explanatory) and then it has an extremely awkward pink orb click abusing hitboxes once again. next is the ship, with only really one interesting click, taking advantage of portals saving momentum, forcing you to hit the roof. the next part is unoriginal lol taking a part from sonic wave. then theres probably the least original part in any level ever thats just a bunch of spike jumps before transititioning into
#2 - WAVE CLICK PATTERN
(yaaw yaw yaw yayayaw yaaw yaaw yaw day dayayayay (tsk) yayaya)
this alone is probably one of the two most interesting pieces of gameplay in this level, the only other example of another level doing this level is crimson clutter (silent btw) on a much smaller scale. i have no idea what mindfuck caused nick24 to do this but i really like it honestly. also the structuring here is really unique for a NC level which is nice, especially for how early this was into the NC trend's existance. then we have the sonic wave floor spam with some amazing portal placement by nick. this then leads onto the
#3 - NOT VERY INTERESTING PART COMPARED TO THE REST BUT STILL PRETTY CREATIVE

not much to say about this part, the original doesnt have that dumb portal spam LOL tosh is just dumb but those 3 clicks are like a generic nc mini dual structure on steroids. that shit go cray zee! ayways then its back to the WAVE CLICK PATTERN but reversed through a rough transition AND THEN....................... DUMRROLL PLease
#4 - THE CRAZY SPAM!!!!
(yiyiyiyiyiyiYIAY yiyiyiyiyiyiyyiay yiay yiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay)
this part isnt actually that creative but i havent seen many other levels do it so im talking about it. this part is SO HARD tosh had to NERF IT to do an AUTO SHOWCASE. this shit is SO HARD ITS REALLY HARD I DONT KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE HOW HARD THIS PART IS. getting past this part from 0 is probably harder than beating the rated sakupen circles (which is hard) which actually has a quarter of this spam in it!!! THE EASIEST PART OF THE SPAM!!!!!!! this shit is like 12cps controlled downwards and upwards spam. conclusion: way too hard. NEXT PART IS
#5 - THE DOUBLE CLICKS )wat)
(yoy yaya yaya yaya yoyoyoyooow yoy yoy yoy YAAAAY YAYAYAYA YA YA YA YA yayayayayaya)
this part is fucking insane. mentally insane. this is the first time this was ever done and is so iconic that itll never be done again. how do you even come up with this? the double clicks here are so insane and precise that im surprised they are even possible, especially since nick didnt verify this with speedhacks. i genuinely struggle to express my thoughts on this part, its just crazy, and probably the best example of double clicks in normal gameplay. then its the triple x wave which is tight asf but not original, then there is an odd 30fps spam which is impossible on 30fps because this level is 60fps minimum. then, finally, we have:
#6 - the last shirp
(yoooow yooooooow yoyoyoooow yow yow yow yiyiyiyiyiyiYIAY yiyiyiyiyiyiyyiay yiay yiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay brrrrsht boom darum darum ding ding rump BROOOOOOOM)
this part is kinda a generic NC ship, obviously inspired by crimson clutter (hardest demon). then it just goes and rips the gg from cata lol

More on Gwydion, Fionn, and Truth Teller
I was kicking around this idea yesterday but now I think I've solidified my thoughts on it and changed my mind on a few things. .
"It's why the Starsword calls to the descendents of Helena - of Theia". But only those with enough of Theia's starlight to trigger its power."
We can almost guarantee Rhys is a descendent of Theia through Silene.
And Mor is Rhys's cousin, her family having ruled the North long before his family, even before the prison was created which means she could be as well, Mor who has golden hair as did Theia:
Based on what we now know, Gwydion did originally belong to Fionn and at the time it was a symbol of the first High King. Truth Teller once belonged to Enaulis (his friend), which Fionn wore at his side after his death. However once Theia took the weapons from Fionn after his death, she "made" the Starsword and Truth Teller with her light which is why only her female descendents can use it at its full power (which I think is telling us that it has to go to someone other than Nesta despite it being in her possession, she is not a descendent of Theia).
Az was able to use it at one point only because he was the keeper of Truth Teller and the blades have a desire to be close to one another.
Theia was not necessarily the heroine as she was made out to be in Crescent City and Gwydion no longer represents a "saviors" light so it belonging in the possession of someone who is both light (a characteristic of Mor) and bloodthirsty (which Rhys mentions her as being) is a good fit. Light and Dark - a combination of the two being Twilight or Dusk.
I do still think Bryce leaving Nesta the lands of the Prison, Bryce's birthright, is setting us up for it becoming Valkyrie territory, where they'll possibly remain as defenders of the portal that seems to exist there, and as Mor expressed interest in training with the Valkyrie in SF and we're given hints she'll not be staying in the NC, the pieces seem to fall into place for her to end up living there if they all found a way to bring it back from its current state. It seems the monsters in the Prison are the cause for the land around it dying so by eliminating the current inhabitants, it's possible for it to again become what it once was.
And I think that whoever else is a descendent of Fionn & Theia could still be a contender of the High King plot if SJM goes that route. A lot of focus is placed on the bloodline of the females who contain Theia's light however not much is said of what Fionn's bloodline was capable of (if anything) or whether there are male or female descendants who show hints of his power.
Or if they simply realizing that they are a descendent, it could somehow lead to a course correction of history, where the land that died as a result of his death will be restored, a land I believe to be the Bog of Oorid.
We're told Fionn's general Pelias had red hair and Fionn had golden hair. We're also told they once went hunting in the lands in the middle, where Oorid lies and to me that indicates Fionn was possibly not of NC descent.
So maybe there is still something there to connect Lucien to the High King plot considering he is not only descended from Autumn Court but connected to the lands of Spring through the Rite and has Day powers through Helion which may or may not somehow connect to the "bright light" part of Theia's light versus the darker lights of Silene and Helena (her daughters).
Rhys could be connected to the High King plot through Silene and Fionn as well however, Amren tells us that the Cauldron's benevolence may extend itself to another if he rejects his birthright.
Truth-Teller
I do believe that if Mor were meant to have Gwydion it could provide an explanation for Az struggling to let go of Mor.
If Truth Teller has been longing to reconnect with the sword for 15,000 years it would make sense that Az would find himself pulled to Mor if TT recognized her as a descendent of Theia's daughter. It was not necessarily Az himself being pulled to her but him being influenced by the dagger to some degree.
It does not seem that Gwyn will end up with Gwydion, she doesn't seem to be descended from Theia or her daughters as her heritage is not that of the Night Court. But Gwydion and Truth Teller want to be together.
What if Az takes the dagger Nesta made (as it was in their possession again at the end of SF) and he gives Emorie Truth Teller to keep?
It's poetic, not only if she and Mor are endgame, but because Truth Teller originally belonged to Enaulis. A female Illyrian ending up with the dagger of an original Illyrian hero is girl power at its finest.

No experience leaves us unmarked.
In this respect, a body can be seen as a system of impressions.
In my dance lineage, we often dedicate our practise to the dead—ancestors, ghosts, or even feelings and events that haunt us.
We dance as living altars. We dance as the remembrance of all those who came before, human and non-human.
For this event, you’ll be asked to bring one portal object for our communal altar.
This object can represent an ancestor that you’d like to dedicate your movement to, or a place that lies embedded deep within your memories.
It can even be a simple symbol representing the Otherworld, underworld, Spirit world, or more-than-human levels of reality in some way.
During our time together, we’ll be inhabiting the space between the somatic and the imaginal in order to build greater connection between them.
This sort of creative movement practise is perfect for actors, dancers, musicians, and anyone else that wants to support their body towards greater creative expression, awareness, and regulation.
Please consider your portal object selection with great care and self trust, ideally a few days to a week before we meet.
Our portal objects will serve as anchors to the tangible as well as bridges to the world beyond.

In this 2.5 hour class, I will lead a group of 30 humans through 6 movement meditation practises for dropping deeply into centre, exploring our periphery, and meeting the edges of our sense-gates.
