made the mistake of watching rebel moon part one today (per request; my dad is on vacation and he had heard abt the movie. we ended up watching bad batch later as a palette cleanser jfksdaljdlsf). i want those hours back and i'd like snyder to personally pay for my therapy since:

there are several on-screen attempts at rape within the first 20 or 30 minutes of the movie

there are very obvious queerphobic undertones, including but not limited to the gay sexual predator alien and the parallels drawn between drag queens / potentially trans* individuals being in the saloon being shot directly before the scene of the big bad guy(tm) being sexed up by tentacles, going to show "he's not so different from the people he genocidess trust me!! he's a freak too"

the honest racism of every nonwhite character being background and/or a genre stereotype. the asian lead is from a cyberpunk-esque environment and wields dual swords? the black lead is a disgraced alcoholic and brute known for senselessly slaughtering people? oh, and the other one is almost the same but he's sober, i guess. the vaguely indigenous character is a white man's slave turned beastmaster? and there are no other notable bipoc characters either. literally every, if not almost ever, non-alien side character is white.

Hey, yall! Help a t4t disabled couple with relocation!

My husband and i need a bit of help, we're moving to a new apartment by May 15th, but we need a bit of help with moving costs. Things like the deposit, gas for moving, and necessities we might need once moved in!

My job has been reluctant to give me new hours, since im in an area that's covered by a different company, but i plan on leaving that job as soon as we move. This does leave us in a tricky situation, though, as i dont have enough hours to cover our own daily needs, let alone an expense like this.

Any help is appreciated! I do tarot readings and traditional art!

In the end, if children bother you for sensory reasons and that's why you don't want them to be in the same public spaces as you, there are disabled adults who can and would cause the same sensory issues for you. Adults who are loud, who vocally stim, who have poor boundaries, poor hygiene, who cry in public, etc etc etc. And they're already socially ostracized for all of this.

So actually yeah, it's the bare minimum you can do for the group with the least human rights on the planet to figure out how to accept children as part of your public community without hating them for it, even if you are child-free yourself.

i found a really easy gif-making tutorial last night, tried it with some archive footage, and it worked! and now i am so excited to play thru the hitman games i own and gif them-

ofc like, for personal visual preference, this means playing them all without subtitles... but hey i know well enough that's going on story wise so it's nbd-

it is tempting to assume btw that harry is "the most mentally ill man in the world!!!!" or whatever, but he's probably the average level of mentally ill for people in his situation. he isn't this uniquely monstrous wreck who abuses more substances than anyone else ever has. in martinaise alone you can meet like 5 people who are doing even worse than harry. kim says several times that he's seen much worse than day one harry and i BELIEVE him. i think harry wasn't immediately fired from the police after the unsolveable case bc this stuff is relatively normal for cops to do in precinct 41. disco elysium isn't pointing at harry and going "gawk at this uniquely awful man for no reason!! isn't he horrible in a clownish way!!" they're making a point abt the effects of capitalism and imperialism on the disenfranchised poor
