Everything hurt. Why does everything hurt? That was the first thing you were thinking of when you woke up that morning. The sounds of the birds singing their morning song, the sunlight breaking through the slit in your tent's opening, the reverberating throbbing of your head ... it could only mean one thing. You were suffering from a migraine. You tried to get up to try and find something to help you with your pain, but the slightest movement made a wave of dizziness and nausea to overcome you. Spots danced across your eyes, even when they were closed and your back teeth were even in pain. This is by far the worst migraine you have ever experienced, and you've suffered from quite a lot. This is what I get for not having my medication with me, you thought. Yet another thing you took for granted when you somehow managed to transport yourself from the modern world to the magical and chaotic world of Faerûn. How you did that, you still did not know.

The vertigo you were dealing with made it impossible for you to physically get help. So, you did the only thing possibly in this situation; you used your tadpole to connect with one of your companions. You psychically reached out to one of your nearby companion's tadpole, latching onto the first one your worm felt. You struggled to maintain the connection and formulate proper thoughts to convey your need for help. Before you were able to identify who you were connected with, said connection broke as you lost concentration, your head now pounding even harder. Everything felt numb as blood rushed in your ears and spots danced behind your eyes again.

The opening of your tent flap and sunlight pouring in signalled that someone had entered your informal abode. You sheltered under the layers of your bedroll and hissed at the brightness, not able to see who came to your rescue. "Are you alright, pet? I felt you reach out to me," a sauve cool voice asked. Astarion, you inwardly cooed. The silver haired vampire noticed your aversion to the light, closing the tent flap behind him as he shuffled closer to you. "Darling, please say something," he worried. You peaked an eye over the edge of your bedroll cover, met with the handsome face of your vampiric lover. His usual lustrous saccharine eyes were soft with concern, furrowed brows showing the hidden wrinkles of his forehead. "Migraine," you managed to say, voice coming out raspy and low. The slight movement of your jaw did not help the resounding pain in your back teeth, which in turn made your head worse. "Oh, my sweet little love," he cooed. He reached a hand out and brushed it across the apple of your cheek, the slightest touch of his cold skin providing you with relief. "Let me go get, Halsin. He'll surely know what to do."

"No, stay," you whispered, wanting nothing more than for him to wander his icy hands over your head and neck. Astarion let out a sad chuckled, kneeling over you to place a gentle kiss to your forehead. "I'm sorry, my love. But I'll be right back, I promise." His icy touch left you as he careful made his way outside without letting any light disturb you.

You laid there, in silence and pain, for who knows how long. Time felt slower as the throbbing continued in your skull. Sleep refused to take you under its wings, and there was no way you could sit up and read a book. When the hulking frame of Halsin appeared in your tent's entrance way, you swore it was a godsend.

"Oh, my heart," the druid cooed when he laid eyes on you. "Halsin," you whimpered out. Tears were brimming at the corner of your eyes, but you wouldn't let him see them cascade down your face. "I've got some natural remedies to help you with your pain, my heart. But first you need to tell me where it hurts?" Halsin softly told you, kneeling down beside you. "Everywhere. It hurts everywhere," you told your hulking lover.

Astarion quietly shuffled himself into the privacy of your tent, situating himself to sit on the blanketed ground facing the other side of Halsin. "Darling, you need to be more specific so Halsin can help you? Can you do that for us?" he coached you, taking his hand to gentle rub away the furrowing of your forehead. You audibly let out a sigh of relief at the coldness of his fingers, losing yourself in his touch. "It looks like she enjoys that, Astarion. I suggest you continue while I prepare the appropriate remedies," Halsin cooed.

You just groaned in pleasure as Astarion's lithe fingers continued to massaged away the stress in your forehead muscles. You felt them relax, and in turn you stopped scrunching your eyes shut as the pain slightly lessened. But the back of your head, right where your spine meets your skull, was still throbbing in pain, so you grabbed Astarion's other hand and brought it to the spot. The vampire spawn seemed to understand what you wanted, slowly but firmly rolling the sore tissue under his pale fingertips. A small gasp was brought to your lips and the pounding of your heartbeat in your ears lessened to the point you could now hear Halsin grinding some medical herbs in a mortar and pestle somewhere inside your tent.

Liquid sloshed in a container as Halsin returned to you, having finished what he was doing. "I made you something to help with your migraine. I need you to sit up so you can drink it. Can you do that for me?" he informed. You mumbled out a small yes, struggling to prop yourself up on your elbows. Astarion wrapped an arm around your torso and gently pulled you to lean up against his chest. You placed a chaste kiss on his hand as a thank you. You were able to open your eyes now, though you still squinted due to not being used to the light, still somewhat sensitive to it. But you were able to make out Halsin kneeling beside you with a glass bottle filled with some reddish liquid inside held in his large hand.

"Here you go, my heart. Drink as much as you can," he said as he brought the glass rim up to your lips. You opened your mouth, humming as the first drop of the medicine hit your tongue. Mmm, chamomile, you thought. There was a hit of sweetness to it, as if Halsin added spoon of honey to the mixture., that craffy bear. You hummed in enjoyment at the taste, signalling to Halsin to tilt the bottle some more so you could drink more its contents.

When you almost finished the mixture, Halsin pulled the bottle away. "Not too much, my heart. There will be plenty more for you later," he teased. You mewled as you leaned further into Astarion's chest, eyes starting to feel droopy. Astarion let out a light chuckle at your affections. "I see the herbs are already working. Would you like us to stay with you while you nap, my darling?" he playfully ask. You nodded, looking up into his ruby eyes with a child-like pout on your lips. "Please. I want some cuddles," you pleaded. "Oh, darling, how could we ever say no to a face like that," Astarion cooed, placing two light kisses against your eyelids.

You repositioned yourself so you were laying on your stomach with your head on Astarion's chest. The vampire wrapped his arms around your middle and laid a kiss on your head, before settling himself back onto your sleeping pillow. Your druid partner threw an arm over the both of you as he laid on his side, his muscular chest warming your side while his chin rested lightly on Astarion's white locks. You could feel the tangling of your legs with your partners, a smile making your way to your face. "Sweet dreams, my sweet," Astarion whispered in your ear. "Rest well, my love," Halsin purred, rubbing soothing circles into your back. The scent of your loves and the sound of their rhythmic breathing lulled you back to sleep, the pain that once plagued you moment you woke up long forgotten as you laid within their loving embraces.

Baby I took over your basement for the day. Don’t come in unless the house is burning down, or something bad happens to Scout. Everything you need is right in front of you, or behind what’s in front of you. Love you. ♥️

Cillian left the note on the table and his keys on top of it. Y/N must have gotten yet another migraine.

They’ve tried every single remedy out there and nothing seemed to work, she even went to the hospital once to get stronger meds and monitoring for a day, but it only made her feel worse.

He now knew a migraine isn’t just a headache, it isn’t an excuse to have a day off, and it tore him apart to see the woman he loves suffering, it made him feel useless.

So he went to disconnect the telephone, the front door buzzer and let Scout out to the garden. Then he carefully took a cooking pot, filled it with water and took the pasta out of the bag, making sure he didn’t close any of the cabinets loudly, knowing she could hear every noise ten times the original sound. While the pasta was cooking, he mixed the rest of the ingredients in a bowl, they weren’t sure yet if cheese was a food that triggered the migraines so he changed his recipe a little bit and made the macaroni and cheese without cheese, instead he prepared a special cream full of avocado and spinach both approved by your doctor that provided a good amount of natural magnesium that helped you.

The salmon looked good in the grill and the smell was amazing.

He also cut some dark chocolate bars to give you as snack later, in the right dose, it was so helpful with the migraines too.

Walking down the stairs he opened the door to the basement slowly. Balancing the tray against his body he was proud he managed to make it to the spot where you were hiding under his hoodie with your sleeping mask on, your pillow on the floor, the room in total darkness.

Touching your leg gently to let you know he was near, you managed to crack a small smile.

“Hi.” You mouthed, your world lighting up as Cillian smiled at you, taking his place on the floor next you.

“Hello.” He mouthed back.

Reading lips was the perfect way to communicate while the migraines lasted.

Sometimes you didn’t even need words, just one look and you could see every feeling, every little thing he wanted to say, his eyes weren’t just beautiful and breathtaking, they also showed what was inside of him.

“Brought you some food.” He whispered.

As you were about to say you weren’t hungry, he gave you the look and you closed your mouth, accepting the plastic plate and fork, because the regular ones made so much noise for you to take at the moment.

Everything hurt; the light, the sound the steps makes against the floor, a car honking, sometimes you had vertigo, others you could see blind spots, or have nausea… sometimes however, it was all mixed at once. And all of that also caused you to feel anxious for not being able to control any of that.

But right now, Cillian was the best medicine you could have. He was just so thoughtful, it meant everything to you that he was now used to every single little thing that made you feel better, like not using his shoes around, so he just walked in wearing his colored socks, small things that actually meant everything. Helping you into a seating position, you started to eat the salmon and the pasta he made for you. It was incredible that you couldn’t even stand crunchy food, but the most amazing thing, is that Cillian knew everything by now about it, not like the first time you got a migraine with him and he was using the blender to make a smoothie, killing you for days and feeling guilty about it once he found out.

Cupping his face in your hands you touched his lips with a finger, announcing you were going to kiss him so he wouldn’t be surprised or kiss you back making a loud kiss noise.

Approaching him, your lips found his, feeling how incredible it was to have someone who understood what you were going through. Feeling his kiss back, you also felt his fingers pressing at the base of your skull for a few seconds, a point that might help to get rid of the migraine.

“Can I get you anything else?”

“Just put your arms around me, Cill.”

While your arms found their way around his body, he lifted up the hood to cover half of your face, then he wrapped you in his arms.

Feeling a little better after you ate, a sigh escaped your lips.

“Have some sleep, I’ll be here when you wake up.” He whispered softly while rocking your body from side to side.

Cillian was giving you so much more than he could even imagine, by just putting his arms around you.

He is the leading scientist behind the Ectoplasm Project and Experiment 713.

Personality:

A seemingly polite and proper gentleman— Necrosis is rather respectable and civil for a mad scientist. That is, until he isn’t. A man built on contradictions, he’s domineering yet patient. Underneath the niceties, Necrosis is a cruel, calculating and cunning man who will stop at nothing to reach his goals.

Appearance:

Covered head to toe in garb that resembles a plague doctor, a metallic mask whose filters reverberate a heavy voice. Suit is connected with mechanical pauldrons and various wires, tubes, and phials bolted in. 5’6 manlet. Necrosis’ very own face remained one of ATLAS’ greatest mysteries. Abilities:

STASIS / NULL A unique, self-inflicted enhancement he had carefully spliced on himself to give him a proper upper edge against the experiments of ATLAS— Necrosis has a natural, nauseating miasmic aura around him. The debilitating effects range from a general unease, to nauseating vertigo to life draining. His stasis is also capable of general power nullification via the life-force absorption. More spliced secrets and genetic mutation lay underneath, all kept confidential to appear as human as possible.

Extras:

THE ROT: Has an incurable disease caught long ago in space. Something akin to an infectious cancer— Necrosis is covered head to toe to keep the infection from spreading. Whatever remains of his human flesh is rotting, and everything both hooked up and spliced into his genetics is the desperate acts of a genius to cure himself. 

Necrosis has spliced his own DNA with countless other lifeforms and had self-experimented his own genetics in a vain attempt to cure the rot, or at the very least, halt its spread. The results are varying, but no cure.

His work is just as contradictory as himself. He has developed incredible advancements and remedies for humankind through his dastardly research, however in the same vein, he has also assisted in the creation of some of ATLAS’ more terrifying bio-weapons.

Survival after the containment breach is currently unknown (he did, the guy is a roach)

Relationships:

GHOST-713 (Ophelia)

Necrosis is the primary scientist that leads the research team for the projects consisting of Ectoplasm and GHOST-713. He is deeply engrossed, if not borderline obsessed, with GHOST-713; the obsession beginning due to the unforeseen (and unknown) compatibility between her and the ectoplasmic core. Necrosis believes that the missing key to formulating a cure for the rot is through her symbiotic relationship with the ectoplasm. Over time, the mystery behind her ectoplasmic core drives him further into madness. The one thing he cannot figure out: it haunts him, it intrigues him— he wants it for himself. It’s a deep, sickly twisted yearning that lures out his megalomaniac power trips.  With his ability of stasis, he is the primary reason why GHOST-713 is kept under control despite her incredibly volatile moveset at her disposal. GHOST-713 is terrified of him.

JOSEPH (Doc)

A one sided relationship— Necrosis has a deep respect for Joseph’s own work, both in his medical field as well as his uncannily sharp wit (and he rather enjoys the doctor’s…occasional personality quirks. Deems it a breath of fresh air).  Joseph would like absolutely nothing to do with this man, but it’s hard being a boss’ favorite— so at the very least, he’ll strive in the slight leeway and wiggle room he can get while in good favor with Necrosis. Despite Necrosis’ fondness for the doctor, a twisted envy bubbles below the surface, especially when Joseph gets closer to GHOST-713.

Gridded plots of flowers and herbs, hothouses she or any of the men or women who worked for her cared for around the clock, terrariums with the most exotic plants and insects. Andrómeda's favorite hobby had taken over the garden of the ridiculously big villa, property of her husband, El Sombrerero Loco. Her presence, however, had not taken over the drug cartel he led.

There was only a particular part of the garden that showed the hand of somebody other than the raven-haired Spanish woman. Here, different flowers grew; blue, cobalt, aquamarine, sapphire, periwinkle orchids, poppies, peonies. Blue, just what she was feeling. Blue. Like the dress she had been wearing the last time she had seen him. His favorite color, as well.

And Takeru's answer had always been no, until Aguni had intervened.

What it uses as a proxy for “visuoconstruction abilities” and “visuospatial memory” (as an obligate compound) is--my working theory, based on a sample size of...my cognition--the ability to recall Gestalts, and recall the relative position of Gestalts in a plane of space vis-a-vis one another, often in a series. It was those primary-color logic puzzles where you have to remember which triangles went where, reconstruct patterns from memory, say the color or the word first, not even account for the color of the signified thing behind the sign! I have such a distinct memory of doing this test because the word apple was blue and I was supposed to say the color instead of reading the word apple but the concept of, like, a Platonic-ideal apple was red, but some apples were green, and if you combined red with blue you got purple, and in any case the word apple was blue synesthesia-wise anyway so the exercise didn’t make sense when it was posed as a contradiction, and also wasn’t it weird that some apples were green and others were red when they were complementary contrasting colors? Why did that occur in nature? And why was the word blue when the fruits were red and green? So: Not dimension or even depth, but proprioception, relative distance, in 3D physical space.
