So I have this concept in my head I think I even shared it with another writer. But anyway here it goes. Reader is the cook at the avengers tower and Bucky is convinced she's working for Hydra. He thinks she was sent to trick him and spy on him. His reasoning is she always where's these aprons that reminds him of his ma. Different aprons for every occasion. She always has 40s music playing and is always singing along and dancing. She's this soft feminine bundle of sunshine. And her chocolate chip cookies taste just like his ma's. He knows she's evil but she's really just wonderful. He has fallen for her but doesn't realize it and is constantly trying to get her to reveal that she is a Hydra agent. She just wants to make him happy because she saw what he was like when he was healing after what Hydra did and harbors a huge crush. She actually got the recipe from his sister before she passed away to make them to help Steve adjust and started making them for both of them. Anyway I'm done rambling.

"Hey, Robocop, could you stop glaring at our new cook?" Sam joked, noticing his friend glaring at their newest cook.

"She's a spy, Sam." Sam scoffed at the ridiculousness of Bucky's words.

"Bucky, she is baking an upside-down pineapple cake and wearing a pink and white apron while dancing to a Nat King Cole song. If she's a spy, Beyonce is my wife." Sam tried to reason with the soldier, but Bucky glared at him.

"Maybe that's what Hydra wants you to think. They are trained to be unsuspecting and blend in." Bucky whispered to Sam, looking at the cook, who was singing the lyrics of the song that was playing. He was transported back in time when his mom and sister would do the same thing. And there she was, (Y/N) in his mom's summertime apron, singing one of his mom's favorite songs. Hydra was getting sloppy with their spies if this was what they were sending.

After his therapy session, Bucky arrived at the compound and noticed a plate of chocolate chip cookies on the kitchen counter. He didn't think much, but he grabbed one and ate it.

He paused and looked at the cookie. It was exactly like his ma's recipe. He could feel his eyes water because he hadn't realized how much he missed these fucking cookies.

"Hello, Sargent. Like the cookies?" The alleged spy asked. She was wearing a very familiar floral apron. An apron he used to laugh at, saying it looked like his nana's curtains. His ma would always stick her tongue out in retaliation. Maybe he should try and see if she has the same reaction...

"Nice apron... Kinda looks like my grandma's curtains." (Y/N) laughed at his joke.Like a full belly laugh. She looks cute, Bucky thought. But immediately shook his head. Nope, this girl that looks like a warm hug personified is evil.

"It does kinda look like that. My grandma had the same one." She said, twiddling with the edge of the apron. Hydra really trained this one well.

And every day it was like this. Bucky would find her singing and dancing with an apron that was exactly like the one his mom would wear. It was driving him insane. Sam had tried to reason with him, but everything felt like a trap. It was like Hydra stole his memories and was recreating them with a beautiful lady that was just Bucky's type.

But today, it was Bucky's last straw. (Y/N) was wearing his ma's favorite red apron. And he knew it was his ma's because he could see the J and R embroidered in the apron's hem. Bucky had bought the apron, and Becca embroidered it as a Mother's Day gift.

"Cookie?" She asked, showing him a plate of freshly baked chocolate cookies. They smelt exactly like the ones ma' used to make. It angered him.

"What's your deal? How did you get this recipe and that apron?" Bucky growled. (Y/N) took a step back, but she didn't look scared.

"You know the bakery in Queens called Paulie's?" She started saying; Bucky nodded. His mom used to bring them there anytime they were going to celebrate something special in their family.

"I used to work there part-time in high school. So did Rebecca, your sister... She was the head baker there and taught me all the recipes I knew. A lot of them were your mom's. When she retired and moved in with her grandson, she gave me all these beautiful aprons. I am sorry if it made you uncomfortable. " She said honestly.

Bucky kept looking into her eyes to search for a lie. But there wasn't any there.

"Steve went to Paulie's and tried my cookies. He said it tasted like your mom's, and that's when SHIELD hired me. They thought having a familiar aspect would be easier for your transition." She confessed.

"And the music?" Bucky whispered. He felt kinda nice; she wasn't a spy. She was just a woman who had a connection with his sister. Maybe he could find out more about her last moments through her.

"She wouldn't work if she didn't have music playing in the background. I think I just adopted that habit." She said sheepishly. Bucky chuckled; his mom was the same.

"Would you like to learn how to back?" She added and Bucky nodded, holding back the tears.

"Sure, I would love to." The smile that she gave him was worth a million dollars and he would gladly pay it if it meant he would see it again. To think he thought it was a fucking Hydra spy.

Hey kind of a silly question, but what are the strawhats epithets in japanese? I was especially curious about usopp' GOD title, since it was spelled differently for ener and gan ford in skypeia.

of course! i’ll just do the primary ones here since a few strawhats have had more than one

luffy: 麦わらのルフィ/mugiwara no rufi: mugiwara technically just means ‘straw’, but is understood in-universe universally to be shorthand for ‘straw hat’ (麦わら帽子/mugiwara boushi)

zoro: 海賊狩り/kaizoku-gari: ‘pirate hunter’

nami: 泥棒猫/dorobou-neko: literally ‘thieving cat’

usopp: ゴッド/goddo: ‘god’ transliterated

sanji: 黒足/kuroashi: ‘black leg’ or ‘black foot’ (ashi can mean either ‘leg’ or ‘foot’)

chopper: わたあめ大好き/wataame daisuki: ‘cotton candy/candy floss lover/loving’

robin: 悪魔の子/akuma no ko: ‘demon/devil child’

franky: 鉄人/tetsujin: ‘iron man.’ the pronunciation for this one has also been given as サイボーグ/saibōgu (‘cyborg’), but with the same kanji- i believe it shifted to tetsujin after dressrosa.

brook: ソウルキング/souru kingu: ‘soul king’ transliterated

jinbe: 海侠/kaikyou: this is the one that’s famously difficult to translate. kaikyou (海峡) ordinarily means ‘channel/strait’ like the seafaring term, but in jinbe’s epithet the second kanji has been replaced with 侠, which means ‘chivalrous’ and is used in an honorific/euphemistic way to describe a yakuza member (with the word 任侠/ninkyou).

Okay, so imagine law being all fatherly to little seraphim Cora while the strawhats find it weird, they are touched because law is willing to be a father to a child he probs just adopted maybe a couple months ago. It's cute, it's fluffy, and I love it

Well, I believe when little Sora is born, Sanji discovers an amount of love he didn't know existed! He tought it was impossible to ever love anyone more than Nami, until he meets his daughter.

The same goes for Nami, of course. I strongly believe there's no bigger love than a mother's (Big Mom definetely not included in this lol)

But still, you asked about Sanji, so let's go!

He'll cry, a lot. At first not believing he's worthy of such happiness, such beautiful family! But it won't take long until he turns these feelings into great gratitude and accepts he now has another mission: to protect this little human being in front of him from all the bad things and danger from the world.

He swears to Sora, when holding her for the first time, that she'll never have to face loneliness or sorrow, and she'll only know happiness and love if it depends on him and Nami. (He also whispers he'll never let any boy get near her, of course "no man will ever be good enough for you!")

I guess only parents can really understand a moment like this, I get really emotional just thinking about it!

It'll be a moment of infinite love and promises, by both of them. Nami also wants to give her the best in the world, and nothing could bring her and Sanji even closer than this.

They now have this lifetime conection to another love of their lives!

Sanji childhood friend with the east blue gang because baratie goes everywhere in the east and regularly stocks up so hes seen everyone 2 or 3 before

But the rest dont know that the others know sanji so whenever luffy keeps talking about 'the super nice and good cook guy' he has as crew since like 9 they are really surprised to find sanji!

Sanji meets Usopp first in Syrup Village shortly after his mom dies so he and Zeff cook for Usopp and then Zeff kicks Sanji out to play. They meet Nami and Nejiko and Zeff buys so many tangerines Nami and Nejiko actually cry. Zeff hugs them and promises them it'll all be okay one day. Luffy rubber bands around Sanji at the market and Sanji cooks for him and promises to join his crew. Zoro tries to beat Sanji up and Sanji runs to the kitchen where Patty and Carne look at the little moss headed kid and ask why the hell he's chasing the kid with two swords for shits sake.

It repeats that way for years except at some point Sanji starts fighting back against Zoro and his three swords now. And when the four of them show up to Baratie and Luffy orders so much food and they're all staring at Sanji like he's familiar in the way of the kid that used to show up every couple of years and then Luffy is wrapped around Sanji who is calling him a shitty rubber and Luffy says now the cook can join the crew properly.

"Wait you know Sanji?" Usopp asks.

"Yeah, he said he'd join the crew when I was nine." Luffy smiles.

"You know curly brows too?" Zoro asks.

"Oh my God do we all know Sanji?" Nami yells in disbelief.

"Only you." Sanji says as he peels Luffy off to go place the order.

Zoro walks in on Sanji crying after Nami yelled at him for watching Luffy properly (she seems to have forgotten that Sanji is not a baby sitter or mother to their captain) so Zoro decides to carry Sanji to a seafood restaurant to treat him to a meal for Sanji to relax instead of being on his feet even more (Sanji is happy to go on a date with his big titty husband)

Zoro: *sighs* Look I get it but go easy on him. His role is our cook not our mother.

Nami: I will. I should apologize, too. I mean, Sanji kun hasn't sat down once today.

-Even later-

Sanji: *fixing his tie* Nice to see you dressed up.

Zoro: *not dressed up at all* Glad you noticed.

Sanji: *rolls his eyes* Let's get going shall we?

Zoro: *scoops Sanji up bridal style*

Sanji: What are you doing!?

Zoro: Don't act like your feet don't hurt. I can tell.

going to sleep thinking of that cameo video of taz skylar saying he likes kpop and am now gonna be plagued with thoughts of modern au sanji, the ever devoted fan of TWICE and Red Velvet. he only listens to girl groups but has a secret stash of ATEEZ photocards (specifically mingi) but he will take that secret with him to the grave. everyone is used to the rotation of kpop girl group songs when sanji is given the aux cord. even zoro lip syncs to the songs with how often sanji plays them at home. luffy learns the dances with him when he's bored. nami and robin gift him a lightstick for his birthday. chopper packs his first aid kit when he attends concerts. usopp builds him shelves to organize all the albums he buys.

just. sanji as a kpop fan. end of post good night. may these thoughts plague you as well as you fight the demons in your sleep.
