The story of ghost

This kitty is extremely important to me. Especially since I thought I would never get another cat after Shadow passed but Ghost forced his way into my life. I promised myself that i would never purchase a cat again because i couldn’t take the heartbreak. 

Shadow died at 7 years old with cancer through his intestines and we never knew. No warning. He just started vomiting one day and within the week, he was dead.

I got in my car one day and drove down my driveway to see a bunch of kittens in a gutter, less than 10 weeks old. Their mother had left them there whilst she was hunting. They were very cautious and fast so it was extremely difficult to catch them. I was only able to catch ghost in a neighbours backyard. The rest of them disappeared back into the storm drains. He was extremely malnourished when we got him. He was obviously the runt of the pack. That doesn’t make me love him any-less.

Catching him was fun though. I picked him up in his wild status and he was hissing, yowling and scratching at me. As wild cats do. I had blood all over my arm and a large cut that goes from my wrist to my forearm. I don’t blame him though, i could have done anything to him for all he knew.

He reminds me so much of my shadow. such a cute, loving and mischievous little dude.
