hello! I've recently had an unexpected break from tumblr, but as I'm finally back, I thought I'd write a new intro post. My name is Anna; I'm 32, non-binary, and my pronouns are they/she. I'm a caffeine addict, a vegetarian, a college student, a gamer, and a writer. I live in the midwest, and I'm neurodivergent and disabled.

I write mostly speculative fiction, and my protagonist are typically queer. At the moment I'm not posting my stories anywhere, but I'm exploring several options to do so eventually. I'm also in the process of writing and coding two interactive stories. You can find out more at my development blog, @morpheusfiction.

Sadie Nelson's summer is off to an awful start.

Her first year in high school has been a disaster, with failed classes and more detentions than she'd care to admit. With summer school the only thing to look forward to, she doesn't think it can get worse - until her parents sit down and tell her they're getting a divorce. The news comes as a devastating kind of relief. She can't wait for the fighting to come to an end, even if it means split holidays.

So when her parents send her off to her aunt's house in Newfoundland for the rest of the summer, she figures things can't get much worse. Her Aunt Claire is content to leave her alone while she works on her art, and Sadie spends most of her days by the seaside, wandering or drawing boats, and lost in thought.

When she finds a strange girl on an abandoned cove, far from town, Sadie is quick to try and make her first friend in St. Brenden's Bay. But her new friend is stranger than she realizes - and what does her Aunt have to do with her appearance?

Lark Donaghue lost their arm and their memory in an accident five years ago — or, at least, they think it was an accident. Ever since, they’ve been doing their best to recover in both mind and body. As one of the recipients of the Hartley-Zimmer prosthesis, they spend most of their time in the labs having their new arm calibrated, or in physical therapy, getting used to having a left arm for the first time.

When they bump into each other in the hospital café, Zelle has no idea that Lark is one of her test subjects. Likewise, Lark doesn’t associate the cute young doctor he meets with Dr. H. Hartley, the mysterious billionaire scientist who invented their prosthesis. Each are determined to keep their past a secret, eager to have something normal in their lives.

But when Zelle is attacked, everything changes. The mystery behind Lark’s amnesia might finally be solved — but at what cost?

When a regular client of Tristan’s volunteers them for a local ghost hunting reality show on the extremely haunted Wentworth Street House, Tristan takes the job only for the money. They have no interest in proving the supernatural to be real — they already know that it is. As the reality show commences, the ten so-called psychics come to exorcise the house. Tristan must discover who is genuine, who is faking it, and whether to help Cassidy resist expulsion. A cursed prince must find and kill the fallen star that foretold his doom before his twentieth birthday.

At least, so long as the star lives. Now nearing his nineteenth birthday, Riavyn is more determined to be king than ever, despite being removed from the line of succession by his mother, the queen.

His only chance to regain his standing in the royal family and redeem himself is to seek out the living star, and kill it before nightfall on his twentieth birthday, when the astromancers say the curse will become everlasting.

Along with the captain of his guard, Riavyn sets out to hunt the star down, knowing that it’s his only chance to become king. But the curse is more powerful than he knows, and breaking it might have consequences he never imagined.

A star is not meant to die, after all.

And Hell Followed

When Adrian was twelve, his friend Malcolm vanished. The police marked it down as the typical case of a runaway kid from a broken, impoverished home, and Malcolm was never found. But Adrian always believed that Malcolm was kidnapped. His best friend would never leave him without saying goodbye.

Now twenty-two, he's never forgotten Malcolm, and now works with kids to prevent the same thing from happening to them. He has no idea that his childhood best friend is still alive — and has been following him for the past six months.

And one night, he takes Adrian.

Waking in the cold basement of an abandoned house, Adrian doesn't know why he's been kidnapped, or who has taken him. And the mysterious masked man who brings him dinner is silent on the matter.

The days pass, and Adrian slowly tried to make friends with the masked man. Whether it's out of hope that he will free him, or simply out of desperation for contact, he talks to the only person he can.

But it soon becomes clear that his captor wants something more from him.

His job is to monitor the mental health of the crew of the SSE Elysium, a scientific vessel exploring the depths of unknown space, further than humanity has ever gone before. Their mission is to discover more resources for earth's growing population and its expansion in the stars.

The Elysium never reaches her destination.

Crash landing on an unknown planet, Niko is separated from the rest of the crew in his escape pod. His chances of survival are low, even on the miraculously habitable land he finds himself on — until he stumbles upon a group of primitive yet intelligent alien beings that are surprisingly human-like.

The Havrai, as they call themselves, might be human-like in appearance, but they couldn't be more different in culture and even biology. But Niko has no choice. They are his only chance at survival.

As the rest of his crew is searching for him, Niko discovers more about the Havrai, and the mysterious ancient ruins that surround them.

Not to mention the Havrian who insists that Niko is his mate.

The Dragon Queen

Aspiring writer who writes across genres

Politically leftist (I used to be an Anti-SJW but eventually decided to change my beliefs, and very willing to educate myself and others (as far as I, a white person should because I shouldn't speak over people) on the oppression of Black People, Indigenous People, Asian People, Pacific Islander People, Jewish People, Romani people, etc. As well as other various oppressed and marginalized groups. Changing my vocabulary (not using AAVE, ableist language, etc.) And also willing to unfollow people who are proven to be awful people even if I used to admire them)

Favorite shows are Blackstone, Glitch, Black Mirror and Oz (will probably make other posts detailing shows, books, etc I like)

Favorite book series is the John Cleaver series by Dan Wells (which contributed to me wanting to be a writer)

I want to learn as many languages as I can

Also love Onomastics (the study of use of names, although the definition usually includes proper I tend to not use that word when describing my interest)

I am not a atheist, i consider myself more neutral when it comes to religious and/or spiritual beliefs

I have a interest on sociology as well as psychology

I enrolled in a program earlier this year for disabled adults on independent living and finding employment

Not a huge meat eater

I would be open to being in a polyamorous relationship

I love the goth, emo and scene subcultures and would totally dress in said styles when I can

I do (currently) identity as a cis male but I have had questions about my gender before

I love pop and indie music as well as alt music, hip hop, R&B, country, etc. (I'll do a post on my favorite bands and singers)

I also like geography and would like to travel (I tend to like warmer countries, especially tropical)

Have two half sisters who both have 2 kids

I would eventually love to have kids myself and give them he best life I can

Also huge into comics (pretty much creator owned and indie comics. I can thank The Walking Dead comic series for that)

I attended public school until halfway through 8th grade

Just another teenager, one of billions of people living on the Belt. She dreams of a different life, of making it off her backwater planet and onto the Crux, into one of the great supercities, where she can do something with her life besides get married and inherit her father's machine shop.

Framed for poisoning Emprex Jaennan IV, Nadiyya is the only one who know the truth of her death. Now hiding from the royal navy, she needs to find the true heir to the throne the only one who can oust the treacherous new Emprex, Traevn II. As the navy catches up to her, Nadiyya's only hope is to deploy her life support pod with her in it, and hope to land on habitable planet.

With the aid of Kharis, Nadiyya managed to get transport on a ship, but the navy is closing in, and with it, the threat of execution. When Kharis is implicated, her only choice is to go on the run with Nadiyya, find the rightful Emprex, and restore her to the throne.

The night before his wedding, Ambrose Holloway runs. He runs from his fiance, from his family, from his life of luxury. All the way to the fabled goblin market, where he finds a fairy willing to make a deal. His request is simple — take him away from his obligations and give him a new life. And the fairy agrees.

Disappearing from the human world and into the Elphame, his name is taken from him. Now known only as Aspen, he is brought to the Seelie Court, where he becomes part servant, part plaything for the nobility. It's a far cry from his previous privileged life, but Aspen can't go back, even if he wanted to.

When he saves the life of King Rhavuin, the young ruler of Unseelie, from an assassin, Aspen is drawn into the precarious world of fae politics. With the king intent on seducing him, and the ambassador of Seelie leaving him extravagant gifts, Aspen doesn't know where his loyalties lie.

But he will have to choose, and soon. Because war is on the horizon, and Aspen's decision may change the tide of Elphame itself.

Ambrose Holloway Aspen — The youngest son of a wealthy industrialist, Ambrose is betrothed to the only heir of a viscount. While his family is eager to ally with an aristocratic family, Ambrose himself is reluctant to marry. Both repulsed by his fiance and used by his father, he runs on the of his wedding day, straight to the goblin market. Making a deal for a new life, free of familial obligations, he gives up his name. Now called Aspen, he begins his life as a humble servant.

Rhavuin Kelthyra — The newly crowned king of the Unseelie Court, Rhavuin is considered by some to be far too young to rule. His advisors press him to make alliances, to marry quickly and produce an heir to solidify his reign. When yet another assassination attempt is foiled by a human servant, Rhavuin finds himself enchanted by the young man. Used to humans obeying his every wish, he is surprised when the servant rebuffs him. Not deterred, he is resolved to seduce him and claim him for his own.

Ilthuriyl Vaire — As the ambassador of the Seelie Court, Ilthuriyl lives a dangerous life. It wasn't that long ago that the only relations between the two courts were those of war, and there are many who would see those days return. Ilthuriyl's job is to prevent that from happening. When he meets an unusual human servant of the court, he is charmed. But his pursuit of the young man may have consequences he doesn't yet understand.
