Alola, Saladin again. I met a man at Hano Grand Hotel who taught my Keldeo Secret Sword, and he turned into Resolute form! Now he’s virtually unmatchable in battle. Also, another thing: I have a Type: Null named Basil, and had no clue I needed a permit til now. Professor Kukui doesn’t know, and neither does my mom, so I’m really stuck...

Let this be a lesson to you and to any fellow readers! It’s immensely important to do great amounts of research on the Legendary or Mythical Pokémon you’re attempting to capture before attempting to capture it, both for you and the Pokémon’s safety and well-being.

The permits are not in place just to make you feel limited or inadequate; They’re quite helpful in assisting you in the dietary, excercise, and other requirements these unique and rare Pokémon need that isn’t common knowledge to make sure you’re able to provide the right kind of care to the Pokémon. It’s especially important for Pokémon like Type: Null and Silvally, since as I’ve said before they’re incredibly endangered and not being properly informed about them could kill your Pokémon . . . Obviously, we don’t want that!

I’ve quite enjoyed corresponding with you, Saladin, so I certainly wouldn’t like for you to get into any legal trouble, but please do be more cautious from now on! If you’d like to make the journey, stop by my lab sometime—we’ll still need a letter of recommendation from your region Professor, but we’ll see if we can get you set up with a permit ourselves!

This is a very rare circumstance, so don’t tell all your friends that Professor Cherry can give you all free permits-! I can’t; I just believe I’ll be able to assist in bending the rules just this once.
