"I have to start off by complementing the queue. It helps you get in the mindset that you're preparing for an expedition into Mount Everest. The little museum section devoted to suspected Yeti attacks and evidence really sets your mind alright with anticipation. I love the 'engine' at the back of the ride train, too. The anticipation builds as you pass through the shrine to the Yeti, and I love the 'oh shit' moment when you get into the mountain and realize that the tracks have been ripped up. From there, the ride is just a blast as it travels backwards in the dark. I like the scene with the projected 'shadow' of the Yeti and the sound design selling the idea that you're fleeing from it. It's a real shame that the animatronic needs the Disco Yeti effect these days, but passing under it is still very exciting."

Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful!!! It's time to play the music. It's time to light the lights! It's time to talk about Muppetvision 3-D on this wonderful channel tonight (I mean, it's tonight somewhere)! This was one of the last projects done by Jim Henson before his untimely death and what a note to go out on. Not only does it have all the wit, charm, and hilarity expected of the Muppets in both the main presentation and the amazing pre-show but the use of and diversity of effects is stellar too. Not just the 3-D glasses but the show uses wind, water, bubbles, smoke, animatronics, projections, and even a live performer. It's an oldie having been at Disney's Hollywood Studios for close to 30 years but it's also a goodie and I don't mind if it continues to stick around. After all, with the certain loss of Great Moments in American History and the uncertain state of Mobile Muppet Labs in Epcot, Walt Disney World needs more Muppets. Seriously! That would be wonderful!

P.S. For the record, the former was a live show in Liberty Square and the Epcot show centered around a free roaming, free talking pair of audio animatronics.  I'm glad I caught a glimpse of the first and I'd probably be really impressed and terrified of the second.

what is your opinion on Muppet*Vision 3D? personally it's one of my favorite attractions at Hollywood Studios.

I love it. I literally have the magic band because it’s like the only merch you can find for it lmao

I know the 3D hasn’t aged particularly well, and it’s not always the most chaotic muppet mayhem, but it’s such a fun muppet experience. I love how it’s got Sweetums, Bean Bunny, and Statler and Waldorf as puppets/animatronics bc it really makes it a full Experience. Bean Bunny is also a personal favorite muppet so I am biased. He’s just soft and full of love he’s perfect

Even the preshow is fun like my brother can’t stand the preshow but it’s got some fantastic gags that I get a kick out of every time like the Gonzo bit is great

I’m a huge Jim Henson fan too so the fact it kind of immortalizes his Kermit in a theme park attraction is special to me. I hope they never get rid of it just as a memorial to him.

I see it pretty much every time I go to studios because there’s never a line lmao that and Star tours are what I always hit. I also like Star tours better than rise but people aren’t ready for that conversation

TLDR yes I love muppetvision it’s fantastic and I cherish it.

I’m having trouble coming up with the rat names but I like to think that since Copia is a weirdo (affectionate) they would all have a lot of pop-culture inspired names (no matter how weird or out of date). So names so far: Lucci, Rizzo, Remy and Emilia.

Rizzo, after the muppets (this is a call back to my Popia at Disney headcanons where I said he’d really get a kick out of the MuppetVision 3D attraction there) I could just see him liking the muppets in general so idk it made sense 2 me in the moment.

Remy and Emilia (initially Emile) after, uh Ratatouille his the rats’ favorite movie of all time

Lucci (I was originally thinking Lucy like shirt for Lucifer, but???) after the soap opera actress Susan Lucci 😭

I just don’t know about these I really don’t. I also affectionately call Copia an Ameriboo and I like to think in his many, many, years of life he has traveled around and ya know…been places, been to America, been exposed to daytime television soap operas and Disney movies about rats so 🤷🏼‍♀️ (this of course, prior to becoming Papa)
