A/N: this was requested so long ago on wattpad i’m sorry this took me 40 years to write!!
Tumblr media
A constant mantra of ‘fuck’ rang through your head as your heels made running up these stairs a lot more difficult than needed be. You’re late to your first day of your new job, and it’s causing fear to prickle your skin.
Of course, the elevator had to be out, why wouldn’t it? The gross feeling of sweat stuck to the back of your neck as you round another staircase, if it wasn’t for the adrenaline, you’re sure you would simply fall apart. Swinging out your phone hazardously, you check the floor level and realize it’s just the next one, so far you’re only late by 3 minutes.
Shoulders visibly lower in relief as you push the door open and take a deep breath.
“Hello, uh, today is my first day. Could you direct me to Mr. Kang’s office?” You huff out, dabbing your forehead with your sleeve. The woman only smiles at you as she gives you the directions, thank god she didn’t mention anything about the obvious rush you’re in.
His office door is huge as you push it open. Who you presume to be Mr. Kang is leaning against his desk, chatting with another man dressed in a fancy suit. They both whip their heads towards you and it makes heat flood to your face, “Oh! I apologize Mr. Kang, I should’ve knocked. I’ll wait outside!” The man only narrows his eyes at you as he responds, “Nonsense, wait there”. His voice is demanding and crisp and it has your eyes widening a fraction. He starts his conversation again so you take the opportunity to glance around. His office is classily cluttered, dark oak bookshelves line the back wall behind his desk, a small seating area is to your left and a nice window view is to your right.
“You must be Ms. Y/n, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Kai.” The one Mr. Kang was talking to, greets, he even pairs it with a handshake that smoothly turns into a kiss on your knuckles. The feeling of his lips on your skin has your spine straightening out and a shiver snaking up it.
He offers a pretty smile before he leaves through the door behind you. You could practically feel the happiness leave, a sort of bone-deep cold is left in its wake. Your boss’ eyes don’t leave yours as he rounds his desk to take a seat at his chair.
“You’re late.”
“I’m so sorry, there was traffic, and then your elevator was out of order. It won’t happen again.”
He opens his mouth and it sets your heart off once more, your hands fist behind your back in worry as the feeling of your heart beating faster slightly distracts you.
Unpredictably, Mr. Kang shuts his mouth along with his eyes for a second, he breathes heavily through his nose before he gazes at you again. “I expect professionalism, Ms. L/n, don’t make me regret this.” He ends it with a shoo of his hand and you’re gone.
You almost melt against the door when you shut it behind you, blood pumping loudly behind your ears.
Tumblr media
The click of your keyboard starts to eat away at your sanity as you open excel for the millionth time just this morning. Your finger seeks out the A key when your boss’ door is flung open, a woman stomps out of it with a box—filled with a multitude of items—in her arms. Trying not to ogle the scene is difficult, but you mask your struggle by typing faster.
The secretary, Ms. Park, runs as fast as her heels will carry her into the office, and if you strain your ears hard enough you can faintly hear their bickering. The entire office is dead silent aside from the sudden, loud clicking of keyboards. Everyone is eagerly waiting in their office chairs for any ounce of knowledge of what’s going on. Your fake-real typing has led you to finishing the file sheet Mr. Kang had requested this morning, your eyes widen in horror, so you wait. And you wait. And you wait a little longer, till almost everyone is gone, and Ms. Park still hasn’t left.
Sucking in a defeated breath, you close your eyes and push back your wheelie chair, standing to your feet. The printer, sadly, works fast and in no time you have your files ready.
“Here goes nothing.” you think to yourself.
The air is tense, even outside of his office, and it sends a chill down your spine. The handle of his door is an inch away from your hand before a, “Aw, Ms. Y/n. Nice to see you again.”
You jump out of your skin at the sudden conversation the man, who was talking with Mr. Kang earlier, started. What was his name?
“Huening, but you can call me Kai, here were you about to give Taehyun those?” He gestures at the stack of papers in your hand. You clear your throat at the way he basically read your mind but decide to pay no mind to it, “Yes, I’m a little worried to go in…it seems he fired his assistant earlier and..” You trail off, looking back and forth between Kai and the door.
“Aw yes. Here, hand them over, I’ll give them to him for you.” A hand extends to yours and you could practically feel the relief melting off of your shoulders. The way he looks at you has heat settling over your skin though, the gaze he sends you is soft, yet it feels as though he’s staring straight through your anatomy.
“Thank you so much…Kai..” The casual name is foreign in this situation and feels wrong leaving your lips, but before you could correct yourself, he’s nodding at you and swinging open the door. Well, at least it was taken care of, a hand reaches up to feel your, now, warm face as you seek your desk.
Going home feels like a blessing.
Tumblr media
You’ve always loved Friday, especially with this job. You surprisingly had weekends off and you couldn’t be more excited about it.
The day, thankfully, has been slow. A rumor that Mr. Kang is looking for a new assistant spread rather quickly throughout the floor and it showed in..interesting ways. Some of the women on your floor suddenly had shorter skirts and less buttoned buttons, while the men leaked testosterone and sat on individual high horses all day. You rolled your eyes at their petty attempts.
Your heels click and clack as you make your way back to your computer from the water fountain, you can’t wait to go home and lounge finally, especially since it’s 4:30 at the moment and you have an hour left. Excitement courses through you as you sit again.
Ding!
You freeze. An email notification popping up on your computer stares at you. The email itself doesn’t scare you, the fact that it’s from your boss does.
“Dear Ms. (L/n),
Please meet me in my office at 6:00pm sharp, don’t be late.
Sincerely,
Kang Taehyun.”
Blood drains from your face as your reread the email for the umpteenth time. You have got to be kidding! You only had 30 minutes left, now you have to wait till 6. You honestly want to be upset, but worry clouds your mind instead. Is he upset? Did he find out the vending machine malfunctioned and gave you two bags of pretzels instead of just one?
The questions are never ending as you watch everyone else pack up and go home, you wish more than anything to be them.
Tumblr media
Your eyes are drooping by the time your alarm goes off, you had to make sure you wouldn’t be late so you made an alarm for 5:55. The office is eerily quiet as you cover the yawn you inevitably let out. A quick shake of your head has a small bit of sense work it’s way back into your brain as you stand up. You pat down your outfit and step around your desk.
You wearily end up at his door and hesitate a second before knocking.
“Come in.”
A deep breathe helps soothe your nerves as you push open the door and cautiously shut it behind you. Your boss leans back and clasps his hands. You have to admit, you were gifted with an absolutely smoking boss. It’s no secret he’s undeniably attractive and it makes talking to him that much harder.
“You wanted to see me?” Your voice is soft as you shrink into yourself from his predatory gaze.
“As you probably know, Ms. (L/n). I am in need of a new assistant. I read your work yesterday and I must say, it was excellent. I want you to be my assistant.” Your eyes widen as he continues, “But, I must know we work well together first.” He pauses to scribble something down on a piece of paper, “Sir, thank you so much. I’d love to be your assista-“
“Be at this address by 7pm tomorrow.” He cuts you off, his face is unimpressed—per usual. Your heart suddenly sinks to your feet at his demand, his house? Dinner? You will admit you’ve never been in this situation before, but there’s no way you can turn it down.
“Oh—of course, I’ll be there.” You nervously smile before he dismisses you.
The large door shuts behind you and a deep sigh leaves your lungs. It was definitely nerve wracking to be asked such a thing, but you still have working eyeballs. Your boss is an insanely attractive man and you can’t put out the spark of curiosity that roars to life in your heart.
Tumblr media
Getting ready was surely interesting, did he want you to look work casual? Normal casual? Dinner party ready?
Brainstorming was not helping until you started skimming through your clothes. After what felt like hours of flipping through the fabrics, you found a simple white dress. It wasn’t too extravagant and it wasn’t too casual. The only thing that worried you was the neckline, it sank a little too low for your liking, but time was running out and you weren’t even showered yet.
“Fuck it, I’ll be fine.”
By the time you were showered and put together it was 6:37, pangs of panic and fear struck through you until you were plugging the address into your gps and speeding down the street. Relief washed over your tense form as the robotic voice finally tells you your destination is ahead on the right.
Your eyes widen as your jaw drops, his house was huge? You had no idea there was such large houses only 15 minutes away from your own.
The air was cold as it nipped at your skin, you couldn’t feel it though. The anxiety in your stomach made your skin flush even in the 30 degree weather. Looking back at your car, you almost laugh at the contrast. A normal looking car parked in front of such a luxurious house was comical.
His front door seemed 30 feet taller than you as you sucked in a breath and hesitantly knocked on it. There was a big part of you that wished to simply melt into a puddle and cease to exist, the smaller part of you yearned to have the item of clothing draped over your body yanked off in a timely fashion.
Heat struck your face at the lewd thoughts, heart rate somehow picking up even faster.
“Ms. (Y/n), it’s great to see you again.” Your boss’ friend, Mr. Huening, told you as he slid open the door. He was wearing a red dress shirt with black pants, and the cherry on top were the buttons that sat near his collar that were unbuttoned. Even the smallest peak of his smooth chest piqued your interest.
A beat passes as your eyes drink in his skin before you stutter back to life.
“M-Mr. Huening, it’s nice to see you again as well. Mr. Kang didn’t tell me you’d be joining us.” You pray he didn’t notice your wandering eyes earlier but it seems you’re out of luck as a subtle smirk graces his face. His black hair falls in front of his eyes, making them even more lustful and dark looking.
Said eyes drift down your body, momentarily pausing on the low neckline you’re sporting, before drifting back upward to your nervous features.
“Yes, I came over last minute. I hope that’s not a problem.” His smirk widens as he steps to the side to let you in.
Inside the house was even more grand than the outside, the floor is black marble while the walls are a light gray. He guides you past what you assume is the living room, a gigantic tv is hung on the wall to your left, white matching furniture lingers before it neatly.
Soon you enter another room, a black table takes up the middle and it’s set up nicely. Silverware, plates, and cups are settled on the wood, waiting to be used. Mr. Huening takes it upon himself to pull out the chair at the end of the table for you, and as you sit down, he pushes it back in and leans down dangerously close to ear, “I hope tonight is enjoyable…” before finding his own seat next to you.
The absence of his warm breath across your neck has need start to settle into your skin, a hot flame is brought to life in your abdomen.
“Ms. (L/n), thank you for coming. I hope you didn’t wait long.” Comes from one of the doors, Mr. Kang steps towards the empty chair opposite of his friend. Shaking your head with a small smile, you say, “Oh no, I just arrived. No worries.” Your boss is dressed similar to Mr. Huening, but with a black shirt in place of Huening’s red. It takes all of your might to not stare at him as he sits down.
He nods before somebody walks in quickly, filling all of your plates with pasta and bread and your glasses with an expensive looking wine. When they are finished Mr. Kang dismisses them with a nod of his head.
The eating portion of the night was quiet, though words were not spoken often, eyes wandered and stared. Mr. Huening couldn’t keep his eyes off of you and it only seemed to tick your boss off. He only seemed to add gasoline to the fire in your abdomen, your thighs rubbed together under the table and you wished more than anything that they didn’t notice.
“That was delicious, truly, shall we move this to the living room?” Mr. Huening asks, before either of you could even answer, he rose from his chair and walked over to you, pulling your chair out as well.
Tumblr media
Empty wine glasses sat on the coffee table in front of the couch you were currently being squished on. The two men took it upon themselves to scoot closer and closer until you were sure your panties were drenched.
Answering their questions was easy, keeping your breath steady was proving to be difficult. Especially when they both flung an arm over the back of the couch behind your head. And especially when their questions took a turn, first they were things like “Where did you go to school?” to “Do you have any pets?” to “Are you a virgin?”
The question was asked so innocently it took you off guard, yet their faces didn’t change. It’s like they asked the most casual question.
“O-oh, yes….I am.” Your skin flushed as the neckline you were wearing suddenly felt very exposing. The slight breeze you felt through it brought a shiver down your spine. You gulped down a gasp when their cold fingers started to tickle the skin of your exposed thighs, hands gaining more confidence by the second.
Both men hummed at your answer. The air around was like lava as you breathed it in, and it didn’t help that their hands found their places on your knees and thighs.
“Oops.”
The clinking of change meeting the floor catches your attention, a quarter lays on the dark marble a few feet in front of you.
“I’m sorry, could you grab that for me, Doll?”
A light shuddered breath left your lips as you nod and bend over to grab the change. You’re not able to make eye contact with him as you pass the quarter back, the skin of his hands are still ice cold as he plucks it from your fingers.
“She smells great doesn’t she, Taehyun? Her little heart is going so fast, it’s cute really.” Mr. Huening mutters across to his friend as he lessens the distance between himself and your neck. Your eyebrows furrow in confusion as your boss rolls his eyes with a sigh. “I really thought this was going to be different.”
“Uh, what-what do you mean?” It’s becoming difficult to speak as the man next to you noses your pulse point greedily, even more so when his frigid hands drift up the expanse of your thigh.
“It seems my friend over here can’t keep it in his pants, so, what do you say?”
Was this how you wanted to lose your virginity? The thought plagues you as both men close in, the heat making thinking too difficult. With a weak “o-ok.” you were shoved into your bosses chest, his sturdy stature felt addicting against your back. Before you know it, your pretty white dress is pooled around your waist and Mr. Huening is taking his time mapping out your thighs with his tongue.
“Mr. H-Huening…” you whine as he bites you, “Why so formal? You can call us by our names.” He hotly chuckles against your panties.
The initial contact of Kai’s tongue against your heated cunt was obstructed by the fabric of your panties, nonetheless you were already keening and subconsciously grinding into his awaiting mouth. “Let’s not play with our food.” Taehyun mutters towards his friend’s direction.
In same second, Kai slips your damp panties off and indulges himself, the feeling of a sharp object drifts up from the juncture of your neck. It’s like your brain splits in half trying to rationalize both feelings, so a jumbled moan and whine spills as both feelings heighten.
“T-taehyun?” You’re finally able to garble out, “What-“
His sharp teeth dig into the juncture of your neck and suddenly you forget how to speak.
“I knew she’d like the surprise, virgins are always such little whores.” Kai breathes out a laugh as he pulls away from your cunt to drag his own sharp teeth down the sensitive skin of your thigh. Your limbs tense around his head at the unfamiliar feeling, but, shockingly, his grip easily spreads them. It looks as though you weigh nothing as he goes back to rolling your clit with his tongue. His teeth seem to have shrunken as well, as you don’t feel the sharpness you were expecting.
The strong fire in your gut is amplified as Taehyun takes it upon himself to pull your neckline down under your breasts. His fingers are merciless as they pluck and twist at your sensitive nipples. Don’t even start on how much you react to how cold his fingertips are.
“T-taehyun….Kai.” Breathing is difficult as the man behind you massages your chest like no other, and the man between your legs thrusts his tongue into your clenching hole.
“Aw, are you gonna cum? How pathetic, beg first.” His tone is unwavering and gravelly as a hand drifts up to your neck, and up to your jaw. It pushes your head back against his shoulder and your left trying to understand how to speak. It doesn’t help that he drags his tongue and fangs down the column of your flushed and sweaty throat.
“P-please, I need it so bad. Nobodies ever made me cum before.” You whine into the thick air, Kai groans and somehow eats you out faster, while Taehyun takes a deep shuddered breath, “Good girl.”
White heat fills you entirely as the pressure in your gut unexpectedly bursts, during the indescribable pleasure, a stinging pain that intensifies your orgasm by a million is felt on your pulse point. Your body goes numb for a second as the pleasure hits another level of mind blowing. Taehyun’s grip on your jaw tightens as he maneuvers your head to look the opposite way, giving him more access to your neck.
Once it finally ends, you try and catch your breath to the best of your ability. “I knew you’d taste delicious. Your turn next, Kai.”
You’re finally able to look around and comprehend what’s happening when Taehyun gets up and switches places with his friend. The sides of his mouth are painted red as he licks at his stained lips. Complaints and questions die on your tongue as he unbuckles his belt, unbuttons his dress pants, and palms himself all infront of you.
It’s a delicious sight when he grips your thighs and presses them against your chest as Kai messily makes out with the untouched side of your neck, you can feel the hickies blooming onto your skin as he marks you.
“Can you do something for me, whore? Or are you too dumb to understand?” Taehyun spits, eyes narrowing at your fucked out expression. “Say please.”

SPOILER WARNING: Do not read if you haven’t seen all of Season 1 of “Loki,” currently streaming on Disney Plus.
Ever since “Loki” first premiered in June, Kate Herron, who directed all six episodes of the Marvel Studios series, has had to pretend like she knew far less than she really does. For one, she couldn’t acknowledge that the homages to sci-fi classics like “Blade Runner” and “Brazil” that she’d baked into the elaborate sets for the Time Variance Authority — the cosmic bureaucracy tasked with maintaining the sacred timeline — were “meant to be sinister” rather than just “playful and quirky.”
For another, Herron was delighted to see fans theorizing after the very first episode that Kang the Conqueror — a character already set to appear in the Marvel Studios feature “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” as played by Jonathan Majors — was really pulling the strings of the TVA. But until the finale streamed last Wednesday, she couldn’t even hint that those fans were only half right: Majors does play the mastermind of the TVA, but he’s a variant of Kang referred to as He Who Remains. It’s only after He Who Remains encounters Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his female variant counterpart Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), and Sylvie plunges a blade into his heart, that the multiverse is reborn, creating the possibility for Kang the Conqueror to emerge.
Again, though: Herron couldn’t acknowledge any of that, even to those closest to her.
“Nothing has prepared me better for working with Marvel than playing tabletop games with my friends,” she says with a laugh. “It definitely taught me how to have a good poker face. You have to hide your hand — and sometimes lie.”
Now, thankfully, all of that is behind her — as is “Loki” itself. Despite receiving widespread acclaim for her assured, ambitious, and visually sumptuous work directing the show, Herron says she has decided not to return for Season 2 of the series.
“I gave it everything — in my soul, in my heart, everything,” she says. “I feel so proud of the work we’ve done. And yeah, I’ll be enjoying Season 2 as a fan.”
She’s quick to sing the praises of everyone she worked with at Marvel, and she says she’s “sure” she’ll work again with the studio. For now, however, she’s ready to take a holiday, and then turn to a project she’s writing herself “that’s really close to my heart that I really want to make.”
“It’s my own decision, but I just feel like my part with ‘Loki’ is finished now and I’m just excited to see where his story goes,” she says.
Before she parts ways for good, however, Herron spoke with Variety about bringing Jonathan Majors into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, what she thought of the shocking revelation about infinity stones and what she would like to see happen in Season 2.
She always knew “Loki” would introduce Kang and the Multiverse…
Tumblr media
From the very start, Herron says, she and head writer Michael Waldron knew that their six-episode run of “Loki” would always end with Loki and Sylvie meeting He Who Remains at his citadel, the result of which would cause the creation of the multiverse.
As Episode 6 makes clear, both of these events were massive turning points for the future of the MCU — and Herron still can’t quite believe she got to be the one to make them a reality.
“We were just, like, waiting to be told, ‘Actually, guys, we’ve had a change [of heart],'” Herron says. Instead, Herron says she and “Quantumania” director Peyton Reed participated in casting Majors in the role.
“I was just like, pinch me,” she says. “I can’t believe I was at the table for that, because I know it was such a big decision for them all.”
Herron also decided to have Majors provide the voices for all three “Timekeepers” who are supposedly at the head of the TVA, but are revealed by Sylvie to be nothing more than “mindless androids.”
“We didn’t have someone cast for those voices,” she says. “I remember thinking, well, ‘Wizard of Oz’ is clearly a reference for us. We should have the wizard. It’d be great if it’s Jonathan. So we sent him all the art of the timekeepers. And he just kind of came up with these incredible voices for each of them.”
…but not with a cliffhanger.
Tumblr media
The most significant decision of the season, though, may be that it ends with a giant cliffhanger, when Loki discovers he’s in a brand new reality for the TVA in which Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) don’t even recognize him. But while Herron knew how this season of “Loki” would end, at first, she did not know that there would be any more seasons after it.
“When I started, there wasn’t a discussion of Season 2, exactly,” she says. “It was just that season of ‘Loki.’ As we got deeper into production, everyone was very happy, and obviously there’s so much to explore with Loki. It felt like we should continue the story. So I think the cliffhanger ending came in later in the process.”
Herron says she sprinkled in some hints to viewers that Loki is in a new timeline, like redressing sets to look slightly off, and recasting Eugene Cordero’s TVA receptionist Casey as a hunter headed to the armory in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment. But her favorite bit is that the final line — said by Mobius to Loki — is the same as the first line spoken in the show, by a woman in the Gobi desert, also to Loki: “Who are you?”
“That was kind of the question of the whole first season,” Herron says.
She was just as shocked about the Infinity Stones as everyone else.
Tumblr media
In the first episode, Loki discovers to his horror that not only does his magic not work inside the TVA, but Infinity Stones — heretofore believed to be the most powerful objects in the known universe — are just inert rocks there. The revelation sent shockwaves across the Marvel fandom; Herron was right there with them.
“That was in Michael’s script when I first got it to pitch [for the directing job],” she says. “I remember being like, ‘WHAT?! You put me through so much!’ But then I thought, ‘Oh, it’s kind of genius, because it shows how powerful the TVA are. Who are these people? What is this place?'”
Herron especially appreciated how her shock — and the audience’s — mirrored Loki’s own as the rug gets pulled out from under him. “I was quite excited by it,” she says. “It really shows you that there’s a new power in the MCU — and it’s not what we we spent the last decade dedicating our lives to.”
She told Kevin Feige she wanted gender parity among her crew.
Tumblr media
Prior to “Loki,” Herron’s most high profile job was directing the second half of the first season of the Netflix dramedy “Sex Education.” She got the “Loki” job thanks to a 60-page pitch memo that filled out just about every detail of the world of the show. After hiring her, she says Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige asked her, “What are your terms?”
“This was the first time I was gonna get to hire my heads of department on a television show I worked on,” she says. “I was like, I’d really love [the crew] to be 50/50 across gender.”
Herron says she wasn’t out to fill any jobs on the film with a specific gender. But, she says, “There aren’t enough women in these roles. They’re out there. It’s a lack of opportunity. It’s not a lack of interest.”
She did end up hiring two women for critical roles that are still rarely occupied by women: cinematographer Autumn Durald (“The Sun Is Also a Star”) and composer Natalie Holt (History’s “Knightfall”).
“I felt like she was inside my mind,” Herron says of Durald. “We have the same taste. And I love the way that she talks about light as a character.”
Herron hired Holt unusually early for a composer, after she’d completed editing the first episode during the pandemic shutdown. She knew that the particular sci-fi film noir look of the show that she was developing with Durald needed similarly unique music, and she liked that part of Holt’s pitch was focusing on Loki’s identity as a character.
“Her music then started to inspire how I wanted to shoot other scenes,” Herron says. She’s especially enamored of Holt’s vision for her dynamic and foreboding theme for the TVA.
“She was like, ‘Oh, let’s have that theme be Kang’s’ — well, He Who Remains, I guess, in our show. But I hope that will go on to be Kang’s theme. That was the real fun of it is that you feel like he’s really played a hand now across the whole show, because you realize that music is his music.”
Herron, Durald, and Holt all deliver distinctive and superlative work that’s nothing like the MCU has quite seen before — and nothing quite like anything previously in their careers, either. And that’s entirely the point.
“I think for us, it was about just showing people what we could do and that we could do it at this level,” Herron says.
The episode in which Loki comes out as bisexual was inspired by Alfonso Cuarón and Richard Linklater.
Tumblr media
Every episode of “Loki” features multiple extended scenes of two characters just talking to one another, a rarity in a comic book production. Herron says that cutting Episode 1 together during the pandemic lockdown and seeing the scenes between Loki and Mobius (Owen Wilson) play out so well “definitely gave us confidence” to continue that rhythm for the rest of the show.
That was especially true for Episode 3. Written by Bisha K. Ali (who went on to create the upcoming Marvel Studios series “Ms. Marvel”), the episode is essentially an extended meet-cute between Loki and Sylvie as they get to know each other on a planet doomed for total annihilation.
“Bisha’s reference was ‘Before Sunrise’ and ‘Children of Men,'” says Herron. “And it lit my brain on fire. It was kind of weird. It was almost like a bottle episode in the sense that we’re just with the two characters, but obviously, it’s Marvel, right? So they’re bonding in this Apocalypse, which also feels very Loki at the same time.”
That episode is best known for making Marvel Studios history, when Loki casually mentions that he’s had dalliances with both men and women. Herron says that when she first interviewed for the job, she asked if the show was going to acknowledge Loki’s sexuality, which had long been established in the comics as bisexual or pansexual.
“I think everyone wanted to acknowledge it,” she says. “It was just really about giving a care and consideration and doing it in the right way. I think everyone knew it was gonna be quite a big moment. So it was just really about doing it in a way that felt respectful. And honoring it.”
Herron also confirms what many fans had suspected, that she deliberately made the lighting scheme for the scene evoke the blue, purple and red of the bisexual flag. “We knew what we were doing with that scene,” she says with a smile.
She has a lot of ideas for what she’d like to see in Season 2.
Tumblr media
Since Herron will be watching Season 2 of “Loki” only “as a fan,” she is also free to wildly speculate as to what she’d most like to see happen — like how, wherever Loki story leads, “we’ve opened the door” for the character to explore his sexuality with men as well as women.
Otherwise? She says she wants to know where Judge Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) goes to when she leaves the TVA in search, she tells Mobius, of “free will.”
“I love her,” Herron says. “Gugu used to always call her an indoor girl, which made me laugh, but she is. She’s in the office, but she used to be this kick-ass Hunter. So I’m like, Okay, well, where’s her path going?”
Herron is also keen to learn more about Hunter B-15’s backstory — since she deliberately decided to hide it in the scene in Episode 4 when Sylvie shows B-15 her repressed memories as a variant.
“I was like, we shouldn’t see her memories,” Herron says. “It’s a character that thought they had power and realizes they have no power. It felt really powerful to at least give her some power in that scenario. The memories are private. They’re hers.” She pauses. “Also as a fan, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, who is she?!'”
“And obviously, you know, Loki and Sylvie?” Herron continues, on a roll. “He’s in a completely different reality. What’s going to happen to him? How will he get back? Or will he get back? And where’s Sylvie? She’s still in the Citadel? And the multiverse of it all. What the hell is going to happen?!”
Herron chuckles at her own excitement. “So I think there’s so many questions to be answered, and so much more road to travel with all our characters,” she says. “You know, I’m really proud that I got to set up Loki’s story here. But there’s so many different aspects of his identity and personality that’s yet to be explored. I’m excited to see where it goes.”

“Y/N, have you seen that guy? That tall guy with bluish hair?” – Yeoju, my best friend, asked with a wide smile on her face
“What? Who?” I asked, I was busy looking for my pen. We were in line at registration office for 2nd year curriculum.
“That guy” He pointed at the guy who looks like an idol, tall, with white complexion and yes has bluish hair. Yeoju’s eyes are sparkling.
“Oh, I don’t know him, do you know him?” looking at him while he was walking towards the guy that I’ve been liking for the past year. Song Mingi, my blockmate never in my life that I talked to him, he looks intimidating because of his eyes but he’s a soft boi I know it deep in my heart.
“Yes, I know him, he is Jeong Yunho my future boyfriend, he’s bestfriend is your boyfriend in the making” Yeoju smirked and laughed carelessly which resulted that those guys been looking at us.
“Yah! Yeoju-ah, keep your tone down, look! Those guys looking are at us whispering” as I whispered to Yeoju, Mingi’s been looking at me like I’ve killed a person.
It’s our turn to register to the registration office, we are in window 1 and Mingi and Yunho are in Window 2.
“Miss Y/N, please write your details here, give it back to me asap” Ms. Registration In charge
“Okay, Miss. Thank you” I am urgently looking for my pen, because the line is getting longer, Yeoju keep on poking me and handed me a pen when I was about to say something, someone spoke:
“Just give it back to me at class” OMG??? Is that M-m-mingi?!! I was dumbfounded and so is Yeoju, we look like someone stolen something from us,, yes our hearts. Just when I was about to say something they walked away and Yunho, smiled at Yeoju.
Yeoju keep screaming “Y/N! Y/N! Did you saw that? Yunho, oh my god, Yunho smiled at me!!! Today’s going to be a great day!” Yes, it was going to be a great day. I am keeping myself to scream, I’m so happy, that I wanted to call my eomma.
We were on our way to our classes, take note we we’re smiling from ear to ear, Yeoju’s been jumping and greeting everyone a good morning even though she doesn’t know them. We were looking for our class, new semester, new subjects and new classmates. I am wondering if Mingi and I will be blockmates again. I stopped walking when I realized something.
“Y/N why did you stopped, are you hungry? Yeoju asked.
“I just realized, Yeoju-yah do you think Mingi recognized me?”
“OMO, he recognized you for sure! Your future boyfriend finally notices you” I’m so happy I wanna cry.
“Yeoju-yah, please hold me, my legs are shaking” She holds me as we arrived to our designated room.
 --
We find a seat near the exit, there’s two vacant seats next to us so we put our bags there so we could sit comfortably, we were writing our details for a subject requirements when someone talked to Yeoju.
“Hi, is this seat’s taken?” some guy spoke to Yeoju
“Uhmm no, you can have it.” Without looking at them, Yeoju continued to write.
“Yeoju, please lend me your red pen, I forgot to brought my pencil case” someone sit beside me.
“Yeoju, why’d you change your seats, go back to your sit?” no response
“Yeoju-yahhhh” then I look to my left side
seat -->      I   -  I YJ  I Me I   -   I   exit door  I
“Yeo—Mingi-ssi???!!!!” I was so shocked, I looked to my right, and Yeoju is busy talking to Yunho. That bitch!!!!
“Uhhmm, Hi. Sorry. I didn’t notice you, I thought it was Yeoju” I was nervous. My heart’s about to escape.
“No problem.” Mingi answered.
“Okay class, I’m professor Kang, this is your first day right? Since you barely know your seatmates take a good look on their beautiful faces, because you’ll be seating with them the entire sem” W-WHAT??? IS THIS FOR REALS???
“What?” classmate#1
“Awwwww” classmate#2
“Okay” classmate#3
Then here’s Yeoju’s response “Thank you, Professor. I love you!”
The prof chuckled and answered “Looks like you liked where you sit, huh?” he asked to Yeoju.
Yeoju just realized the situation then look at Yunho’s reaction, when he saw Yunho’s smiling, she began to smile from ear to ear.
“Yeoju, you really are thicked-face, I can’t believe you.” Yeoju just smiled. A smile that will haunt your dreams at night.
“Well, that’s how love works, you know” she points to Mingi using his lips, and I turned to my left to see what he was doing. When I turned, I saw his face so close to mine. Is he looking at me this close?
Mingi spoke, breaking the ice “Uhm, s-sorry. I was just asking for my pen. If you’re already done using it”
“Ah ah-yes, thank you for lending it to me earlier” I was nervous to death and shy at the same time.
Professor spoke “Students, have you already know your seatmates’ name? Your seatmate will be your group partner for weekly activity, and you’ll be forming groups by four, you decide who will be your group mates. This subject is knowing yourself, so be prepared”
Yunho spoke “So I guess, the four of us will be group mates?” Yeoju, smiled as expected.
“Yes, I guess so. Is it okay to you Mingi-ssi and Y/N?” Yeoju asked
“Uhmm, I’m okay with it” I answered.
“I’m good with it” Mingi answered, too.
“Great, can we exchange numbers for future purposes?” Yeoju asked. WHAT A THICKED FACE (WHAT A NICE FRIEND)
“Here’s mine Yeoju-ssi 010-1683-xxxx” Yunho willingly gave his number.
“How about you Mingi-ssi?” Yeoju asked enthusiastically. WHO WOULDN”T BE HE HAS HIS CRUSH’S NUMBER???? She looks like she could conquer every problems that will come to her way.
“Here 010-1684-xxxx” Mingi answered, Yeoju saved their numbers to her phone. I pretended that I didn’t see Mingi’s number so I just shrugged.
“Y/N aren’t you going to save their numbers?” Yeoju asked innocently.
“Ahh, I will. Wait let me take my phone” I start to copy Yunho and Mingi’s number and when I finished saving them, Mingi spoke.
“Call me.” Mingi said. I was dumbfounded, so as Yunho and Yeoju.
“Huh? Pardon?” o.O
“Call me now, so I could save your number” IS THE GATE OF HEAVENS OPENING?
“Uhhm—okay” what was that???
**dialing Seatmate Mingi-ssi**
Mingi peeked at my phone “Seatmate Mingi-ssi?”
“Huh?” confused me
“I got your number Y/N-ssi” Mingi answered.
I am dumbfounded, my soul has left my body. Yeoju has been poking my cheeks. I AM HAPPY!!!!!
“Sir, can you please explain how we can decide to group ourselves into two?” some girl at class spoke
“tf isn’t that’s too easy?” -  Yeoju mumbled, but duh she is right. It’s easy.
“For example….” Prof looking at us
“You, Mr. Tall boy sitting next to exit, please stand up” prof asked Mingi to stand up. So Mingi, stood up.
“Who do you think your partner is?” Prof asked. So we are looking at him. God, my neck is aching this boy sure is tall.
“This girl, Y/N-ssi” points at me
“Miss Y/N-ssi please stand up, why do you think Mingi-ssi picked you as his partner?” my confused self, answered.
“Because Mingi like her” Yunho whispered to Yeoju, those two scumbag laughed like I didn’t heard anything
“Because I sat beside him?” I answered
“Yes, you are right. You two may seat down” Prof answered. Before he proceed to explain our groupings. He said something that made Yeoju scream like a murderer.
“By the way Ms.Y/N and Mr. Mingi, you sure don’t know each other? You look so good together.” Professor smiled.
“Yass!!!!” Yeoju screamed, Yunho laugh like there’s no tomorrow. Me and Mingi? WE ARE SHOCKED WE CAN’T LOOK AT EACH OTHER.
“Okay that’s it for today, guys. See you next class”
“Bye, Sir Kang” We bid our good bye to our prof.
“Bye, Y/N and Yeoju-yah. See you next class” Yunho said. This guy is so good looking.
“Annyeong, Yunho-yah. See you! Bye bye Mingi-ssi” Yeoju said, this girl sure is a flirt. Lol I also bid my good bye to Yunho-ssi..and Mingi
“See you next class, Mingi-ssi. Thank you again for lending me your pen”
“No problem, see you too, Y/N-ssi. Yunho-yah let’s go, stop flirting.” Yunho was startled and stopped talking to Yeoju. Wow they are that close already?
“Y/N, aren’t we so lucky today? Our crushes talked to us, is our classmates, our seatmates and most importantly we have their numbers. Aren’t we God’s favorite child?” YES GOD REALLY LOVES US FOR BLESSING US TODAY!!!
“Yes Yeoju-yah! I’ve been keeping myself from screaming. I am so happy, Mingi-ah my long time crush finally notices me.” I wanna cry.
“Girl, are you crying?” Yeoju asked while we are walking outside campus
“Huh? No. Btw, Yeoju what was that earlier?”
“What did I do?” Yeoju asked
“You yelled ‘Yass’ what were you thinking, are you insane?” Yeoju burst out laughing, her water spilled because of her demonic smile
“What? I’m just happy that our Prof has good eyes for seeing the best couple next to Yun-Ju” Yeoju proudly announce their love team.
“Whatever, Mingi-ssi doesn’t like me, so quit it. Let’s go pack our things; we have to find room to rent.” Yeoju fought with our landlord because one of her son flirted with her and when she rejected him he got mad, then he tell his mother crazy things that we are bringing boys to our dorm so we got kicked out. DUH how is that even possible??
So while walking, we saw an advertisement posted on the bus shed.
“Yeoju-yah look, someone is looking for Roommates. Wanted 2 Roommates, preferably studying at Now University please call 010-1685-xxxx for more inquiries” wow this is amazing, God is really great, his blessings are coming to us non-stop.
“Call them now, we need to found a place as soon as possible, and I hope that room is affordable too”
“Okay, I’m going to call them now”
**dialing 010-1685-xxxx*
*ring ring*
*ring ring*
*ring ring*
*finally picks up*
*woman answered*
“Hi, good afternoon. We saw your advertisement regarding the room for rent, is it still available?”
“Hi yes, it is still available, are you studying at N.U?” ahjumma asked
“Yes, we are 2nd year college students” I answered, I heard ahjumma chuckled. Did she say “thank goodness?”
“Okay, I’ll text you the address. I’ll expect you anytime soon. Thank you”
“Yes, thank you too.” Ends call.
“Yeoju, ahjumma texted the address let’s go there now.”
“Okay. Gajaaaa!” Yeoju-yah exclaimed she sure is happy.
 *clicks doorbell*
*woman with primitive eyes opened the door*
“Annyeong, are you the lady who called earlier?” ahjumma asked, she is beautiful, she remind me of someone. She looked at me shocked for a second.
“Ah yes, I’m Y/N, 2nd year college from Now University”
“Hi imu, my name’s Yeoju, Kim Yeoju.”
“I’m sorry I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Song Hae Won, I’m the owner, but the room isn’t here, it resides near your school. I just wanted to meet you both, well, when do you want to move there?”
“ASAP, imu” Yeoju answered.
Ahjumma chuckled “Okay, here’s the key. You can move today or tomorrow I’ll just inform my two tenants there, don’t worry those 2 are good people.” This imu is so good; imagine she already gave the keys without talking about the payment first. And take note, she said we can pay her by the end of the semester.
“Thank you so much, imu. We’ll visit you some time.” Yeoju said
“Thank you ahjumma, you are so kind, can you please adopt us?” Ahjumma laughs, swear she resemble someone I know, I just can’t remember who.
“Y/N and Yeoju-yah can you please call me, eomma or imu, I’ve always wanted to have a daughter.” Imu said.
“Yes, we can Haewon eomma!” Yeoju and I shouted.
After talking with each other and eating some cookies Haewon eomma baked, we headed to our old dorm to get our stuff so we could move in with the new house.
After packing we decided to move out of that hell of a room, and it’s already 8pm we need to hurry up so we wouldn’t disturb our roommates when we get there. We’re very excited.
“Yeoju, don’t you think Haewon eomma resembles someone?” I asked because I can’t move on, my mind’s keep thinking who it was
“Y/N, yah I know, I just can’t say his name” yeoju-yah answered,, we kept thinking until we realized that we arrived at the house.
Yeoju ring the doorbell when I screamed.
“Yeoju-ah! I know who resembles eomma!” the door slowly opens
“It’s Mingi-ssi!” Yeoju shouted, she is facing the door while I was facing at her sidewards.
“Yes! Haewon eomma, resembles Mingi-ssi” I happily shouted because they really resembles each other
“No, Y/N. It’s Mingi, look” Yeoju points at the man who opened the door.
“What are you talking abou----? WHATTTT?!” MINGI IS THE ONE WHO OPENED THE GODDAMN DOOR
Mingi is our roommate? Someone slap me hard please. Is this real???

I really love your writings !! Keep up the good work!!, if you have time can you write about a scenario where jumin thought he had protect or shield mc from getting shot or an accident , but at the last minute mc turn the table around and protect him instead. Whether she survives or not you choose. I really want to know how our jumin will respond during and after the incident if it's convenient for you.
OH MY GOD SO MUCH ANGST FOR THIS THANK YOU FOR REQUESTING THIS
For real though, I had so much fun writing this  angst is life. It was supposed to be an hc but I felt like it would be better if everything was fleshed out; I hope you don’t mind :) Sorry it took so long too! ;A;
I hope you like it! \ (•◡•) /————————
Jumin’s eyes widen as she pushes him back and he loses his footing, falling against the table. He watches as the bullet pierces through her body and she stumbles back, her mouth open in a slient scream.
Everything is silent for a while. A million thoughts are running through his mind and he’s desperately pushing down the panic rising in his chest. But he can never control his emotions whenever MC is involved.
And then he hears her soft cry as her shaking hands reach up and touches the bullet wound on her chest. Jumin rushes to her and takes her in his arms just as MC’s knees buckle and he sinks to his knees on the ground, cradling her in his arms.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Jumin cursed himself over and over for making decisions too rashly, for being selfish and reckless.
Of course Sarah Choi would be angry at him. It’s been less than a year since he last saw her, and that was during MC’s first RFA party. But Assistant Kang always checked on her status and she reported to him that Sugar Round was no more, Glam Choi and Sarah Choi were in hiding because of all the bad publicity they received.
Still, Jumin had always prepared for the worst, keeping his wife safe and secure from possible threats from the two women.
Except tonight.
He had wanted a private evening with his wife at one of his hotels. Jumin sent away the bodyguards as he took MC to the garden, where a romantic dinner under the moonlight greeted them.
Everything should have been perfect.
Until Sarah Choi appeared and pointed her gun at MC.
She completely bypassed security because she had cut her hair and dyed it black, blue contact lenses over her eyes and an entirely different nose sticking out of her face. He could only surmise that she killed the ones guarding the entrance to the garden. Jumin loathed that face with every fiber of his being.
“Sarah, put the gun down and walk away.”
“Walk away? Do you know how long it took to get to you two?! You’re so high and mighty that I couldn’t get past your bodyguards! But not tonight! Tonight, my vengeance will finally be complete!”
“Ms. Choi, please—”
“Shut up, you fucking gold digger!”
Jumin tried to move closer to MC, to block Sarah’s line of sight, but Sarah pulled back the safety.
“One wrong move, Jumin, and she dies.”
Then she turned her attention back to MC.
“I actually admire you very much, MC. You’re such a conniving bitch! How did you ever make C&R’s CEO propose to you? Hmm? What do you have that I don’t?!”
“Sarah, please, let’s discuss this calmly—”
“No! I’m done playing nice. This pathetic whore deserves to die after what she did to me!”
And then Jumin was running in front of MC. Everything around him moved in slow motion. He could see Sarah pulling the trigger, could see MC’s eyes widening. As he neared her, relief flooded his body, knowing he would be able to shield her with his own body. But suddenly, MC was pushing him away, pushing him back.
“MC, please, hold on.” Jumin tells her, holding onto her hand.
He suddenly feels the cold barrel of the gun pressing against the side of his head and he freezes.
“I’d like you to watch as your wife dies in your arms. And then when the light leaves her eyes, I’ll let you join her.” Sarah tells him, a mad edge in her voice.
“You can do whatever you wish with me. You can have all my money. Please, just let me save her.” Jumin replies. MC’s eyes flutter as they turn to him, her breathing getting shallower by the minute. Blood seeped out onto her white dress, the dress he gave her for this special evening. She looks so beautiful in it. But now it’s stained with blood, just like his hands.
Sarah let out a hysterical-sounding laugh. “Wow! Jumin, do you honestly think I’d let that woman survive? After what she took from me?!”
She raises her arms in frustration, pulling the gun away from Jumin’s head momentarily.
In that split second, a bullet flies across the air and hits her right between her eyes.
Sarah’s body crumples to the ground behind Jumin as his bodyguards rush to the garden.
“Call an ambulance!” Jumin screams, turning his attention back to MC.
“MC, my love, please bear with it a little longer, help is on the way,” he tries to reassure her, holding her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. A tear slips down MC’s cheek and she gives him a small smile before her face twists in pain.
“J-jumin—”
“MC, don’t speak. Conserve your strength. Stay strong for me, my love.” Jumin says, the fear evident in his eyes. He can’t stand to hear her say those words to him. Those three words that could very well be a farewell.
No.
MC won’t leave him.
She can’t. Not like this.
Finally, the paramedics arrived and lifted her onto the stretcher, MC closing her eyes and biting her lip against the burning pain spreading across her body. Jumin stays beside her the entire time, refusing to ride in his car and forcing himself into the ambulance, not letting go of her hand.
Jaehee, having been informed of the incident, makes calls and has the streets cleared so the ambulance would be able to pass through quickly without having to worry about other cars or pedestrians crossing.
As the paramedics wheel MC into the emergency room, they push Jumin back, forcing him to let go of her hand.
Her cold hand.
MC’s eyes are closed but before their hands could be separated, he tells her one thing, “MC, please don’t leave me.”
And then the wait.
The RFA members rush to the hospital as soon as they can but it’s the handsome actor who spots Jumin first.
And the jerk looks worse than he imagined during the motorcycle ride to the hospital.
Jumin’s arms are crossed, his eyes closed, blood all over his hands, his outfit, his face. Worry is practically etched onto his face and Zen could see the businessman’s shoulders slightly shaking.
“Jumin.”
He doesn’t even open his eyes. Doesn’t respond. Zen stands in front of him and calls out his name again.
“Jumin. It’s me, Zen. Talk to me.”
At that, Jumin leans his head back against the wall and opens his eyes slowly.
Zen’s eyes widen as tears flow down the man’s cheeks. Jumin meets his gaze and Zen could see the sorrow, the worry, the fear —and the guilt.
“Jumin, it’s not your fault.” Zen immediately tells him. Jumin clenches his jaw, digging his nails into his arms. Zen leans down close to him and grasps his shoulders, giving him a reassuring squeeze. “It’s not your fault. She’ll make it through this. I know she will. That lady loves you more than anything else in the world. She can fight this. I know she can.”
Jumin closes his eyes again, not wanting to say anything because he knows he would never be able to stop crying once he allows his emotions to take over.
“You may see her now.”
Jumin opens the door to her room and he could swear that MC could hear his heart banging against his ribcage. In fear? Anxiety? Happiness?
He couldn’t say. All Jumin can think of is seeing his beloved open her eyes once more and have her smile for him, hear her laughter and feel her warmth.
As he steps into the room, he sees MC lying on the bed with tubes attached to her. Guilt pools in the pit of his stomach. Despite Zen’s words, he knows it’s his fault that his wife got shot. He should never have been foolish enough to believe they could spend time together without any bodyguards.
Jumin makes his way to her side and gently holds her hand, his eyes taking in her pale face.
“MC, I’m so sorry. I should have never let this happen to you.”
MC stirs and Jumin leans forward, eyes wide. She opens her eyes and her hazel eyes settle on him —and she smiles.
“You’re alright. Thank God.” MC says, tears in her eyes.
Jumin falls to his knees beside her bed, holding her hand close and kissing the back of her hand. “MC, my love, I don’t deserve you.”
MC looks at him in confusion but her husband merely places her hand on his cheek as he looks at her through sad eyes.
“I couldn’t protect you. But please, put your trust in me. I promise to do everything I can to make sure you’re never hurt again.”

*pokes in* can I have jumin falling in love with intern MC and asking her out ? *pokes out*
Yea! I had fun writing this, I love writing Jumin. A soft knock at his door drew his attention from the paperwork he was reading over. He looked up, his heart rate picking up at the thought of it being (Y/N). After Jaehee quit he needed a new assistant and (Y/N) had been perfect for the job. They were experienced and she had a love for cats almost as great as his own, so she had no issue with taking care of Elizabeth when he went on business trips. Even Elizabeth seemed to be fond of her, having once hid when he came to pick her up resulting in (Y/N) having to find her and hand her over to him. She was truly exceptional, and she made something in his chest hurt in a good way.
The door opened to reveal a (H/L) (H/C) haired girl, it was (Y/N). He smiled at her, all of his attention going to her and forgetting about the document in front of him and his reading place. She walked over to him, her steps quiet and her voice washing over him like a wave. He loved her voice, it soothed his nerves and quieted his worries. He could listen to her speak all day, any topic would be worth listening to if she was the one talking.
“I finished setting up the new cat project Jumin! I’m so excited for this one, I think it can go really far. We already have all the connections needed and Elizabeth would be the perfect model with how beautiful she is. Not to mention the branch has been as successful as always so if this does go well it will boost us even higher!” He nodded, his smile staying on his face hearing her talk so excitedly over a cat project. She really was different from Ms. Kang, she seemed to fit him perfectly and to be everything he needed and wanted.
“Perfect, I look forward to reading it.” The smile she gave him took his breath away and he stared after her, a smile of his own still on his face. He looked down and sighed, he would have to finish this document and the others before reading (Y/N)’s even though a voice in his head told him to read hers immediately. He was tempted to give into that voice but he knew he had to stay professional and put the projects that the branch was working on first, no matter how much he wanted to work on the cat project. That same voice whispered that it being a cat project wasn’t the real reason he wanted to read it so badly. While he would normally be inclined to listen to this voice, he had realized that recently he had to start ignoring it as it would always lead him to thoughts and actions involving or around (Y/N). He had been completely blind to what that had meant till recently. He had been going to Jaehee’s cafe for coffee, have reconciled with her and moving past their awkward relationship to become close friends. He had told her about his new assistant, often going into great detail about and finding that he often trailed from work related topics involving her to things he had observed about her. Jaehee ha` d noticed this and had been quick to point it out, ever since she had quit she had been a lot more open about her thoughts and opinions. It had been very helpful to him, having an outside counsel of sorts and her coffee was very good.
He sighed as he read through the document filled with information he would have to remember and bring up for the next conference. As his eyes scanned over the words and statistics his thoughts left him and wandered. His mind soon filled with thoughts of (Y/N), her smile and the way she held herself. Giving off a warm and uplifting aura that had improved the mood of everyone in the branch it seemed. Everything about her made his head swim and his heart feel like it was going to beat out of his chest. She had slowly but surely become something significant to him without him realizing it. He had even bought her a coffee that morning, noting that she had gone home late that night. The smile she had given him left him breathless and even remembering it caused his heart to start racing.
He blinked his eyes and realized he had spaced out and lost his place, groaning he scanned for the last number or word he remembered and continued from there. He had to repeat this process three times before he finished the document and was able to move on to the cat project details and summary document (Y/N) had given to him. His eyes scanned over the words and numbers, surprised to find suggestions and ideas she had added in that would greatly improve the success rate of the product. All the problems that had been there originally had been fixed by small changes and additions to the original idea. He found that it didn’t bother him that she had done so without his permission, if anything it made the whole process all that much easier.
Once he had finished he stood and made his way out of his office, intent on heading over to her desk to hand it back with his approval to head forward. He turned the corner and came to a slow stop, observing the situation in front of him. One of the workers for another branch, perhaps his father’s as he seemed vaguely familiar, seemed to be flirting with (Y/N). He couldn’t blame them as (Y/N) was exceedingly beautiful but he found that he did not like what was in front of him at all. The green vines of jealousy had wrapped around him and controlled his movements as he began walking over to (Y/N)’s desk. His face was neutral and expression-less as he stopped to the right of her desk. Her expression seemed to be one of discomfort and her body behavior seemed to only emphasize that. He was used to seeing her smiling and seeming to be comfortable as she was, seeing her so stiff and with a forced smile did not sit right with him.
Setting the file down on the desk he made his way behind it and came to a stand still behind her. Smoothly he leaned down and whispered in her ear before planting a soft kiss on her cheek. “I think it’s time for a break don’t you (Y/N)? You haven’t eaten lately and I can’t have you starving, it is my job now to take care of you after all. Oh, is this man a friend of yours?” He looked up, meeting the officer worker’s eye and giving him a smile that clearly did not reach his eyes. He did not offer a hand or even bother to introduce himself, it would be a waste of his time. “Where would you like to eat, maybe italian tonight?” He was gently leading her away from her desk, grabbing her jacket for her as she grabbed her purse in what seemed like a daze. She simply nodded and hid her now rosy cheeks as he wrapped his arm around her waist to keep her close to him.
“Thank you Jumin…for helping me.” He looked down at her, think for a little before he made a decision.
“You’re welcome, but if im to be entirely honest I didn’t just do that to help you. I would be lying if I didn’t say a part of me was jealous of seeing that boy flirt with you. I’ve become fond of you, and you’ve become someone significant to me in the time that you have been here. Since I did bring you out here on the pretense that we would be getting dinner, would you like to go to dinner with me (Y/N)? I do mean this in the sense of a date, because I am interested in you.” Her eyes widened before that bright smile came back and she was hugging him, a happy squeal making its way out of her mouth. He hugged her back, laughing a little and enjoying have her so close to him at last. She was all he needed to be happy, and if she was all he ever had after today than his life would still be worth living.

Authors Note: Thank You for waiting! I have been struggling with balancing school and sleep and being a healthy young adult. Not only that I just needed to take a step back to become inspired to see where the next chapters are going. Don’t worry I have already written the next chapter and are currently editing that so it wont be 3 weeks of you guys waiting patiently for another chapter. I appreciate you guys so much and hope you keep reading the next chapters I have in store are going to be good.\ This chapter was such a fight meh sorry it sucks I might re-write this later on…
I could not think of a way to connect the story in the direction in which I wanted it to go.
I will be better at posting chapters I just need to somehow move on from this train wreck of a chapter before i get into fluffiness.
Grammar is not my strongest application so please do not rip me a new one. I’m desperately just trying to get this done before exhaustion hits.

“What about your new assistant she isn’t the same plain one you had earlier. Her file from HR is very vague on her job qualifications and experience level.”
“My assistant Ms. Kang is on vacation. MC is my new assistant to fill in her place. I thought hiring a new assistant will allow me flexibility for my hard working staff.” Jumin said with a blank expression.
“How generous of Jumin. I enjoy a kind man.” Sarah said and then glaring at me from across the table.
“Jumin is quite kind for taking me in.” I said taking a sip of water.
“So you are living with Jumin?” Mr. Han asked curiously and kindly.
“Currently yes. Until I get back on my feet.”
“How improper!” Glam stated and I looked down at my hands.
“Why in the world would he let you live at his apartment?” I took another sip of water trying to avoid answering the numerous questions. That’s when Jumin spoke up.
“Actually, MC is my lover.” I slammed the cup down on the table and started choking on water. I pounded my chest hard to cough up the water I just inhaled. I shot him a wide eyed look and quickly looked at the horrified faces of Glam Choi and Sarah. Mr. Han eyebrows were raised in surprise. What the hell did Jumin just do?
“We are prepared to make a deal with C & R corporation-“ My mind and heart were racing faster than the speed of light. How could he even keep a composed look on his face right now. Did Jumin realize what he had just done? One minute we were eating lunchm and the next I’m involved with a family scandal and known as Jumin’s lover.
Did he really call me lover?  What the hell was he thinking? The last of my worries at the moment were about the business meeting that I was supposed to be taking notes on. I couldn’t make out what they were talking about but there was a great deal of arms waving and nodding of important corporation heads.
I was the easy way out. Was he not going to talk about what just happened? Jumin had pulled me immediately from lunch and into the car back to work to make the meeting on time. What do I even begin to ask about what his actual intentions were when he called me his lover? What am I going to do later when those women come to harass Jumin in his office again?
I stared endlessly at the wall avoiding making eye contact with Jumin sitting next to me in the large office conference room.
“MC”
I need to keep a level head my mind is spinning in every direction.
“MC”
“hmm?” I turned and noticed that the meeting was over. The Bic partners leaving the room and Jumin standing at the head of the large office table.
“Dozing off the entire meeting it seems?” Jumin gathered up his papers.
“I’m sorry I can;t seem to think straight after what you told your father and Glam Choi about our ‘relationship’.” I took a deep breath. “You want to tell me what the hell happened earlier?” I could not meet his eyes out of embarrassment as I nervously collected my clipboard and pen.
“The only way to diffuse the topic of marriage was to tell them that you were my lover.” He took a sharp breath in before I interrupted his train of thought.
“What happens when they figure out that I am not your lover?” I asked him following him as he lead me to the car waiting out front. Jumin held the door open for me and I got in and he followed behind. “If and when they find out the circumstance I will have secured myself and the company enough to refuse a marriage proposal for a  business venture my father wishes to pursue.” He said gazing out the window with a blank expression.
“So you bought yourself needed  time to gather information about Glam Choi and Sarah.” I nodded my head still unable to meet his piercing eyes. Why was I flustered at the idea of an engagement with Sarah?
“Exactly.” Things quieted between us until a terrifying thought crossed my mind. If they went so far as to dig up information about Jumin and Jaehee what else could they have access too? I was concerned about my health records. “Since they have access to Jaehee what are the odds that they find out I’m pregnant?”
Jumin immediately responded so much as not even a change in his voice just fidgeting with his cufflings on his wrists and having a difficult time getting them untangled from a loose string caught in his shirt. “I will tell them that it is my child.” I looked at him concerned at his response. “You would throw your reputation away for the sake of refusing a marriage offer?”
“For the time being yes. This is not the first arranged marriage one of my father’s girlfriends have thrown themselves at me. However, none of the women directly pursued my father and sent another after me as well. Since I do not have enough evidence against Glam Choi and her students profitable business venture until I do for the time being the story I told them must hold true. If they do dig up that information it will definatly complicate the situation to say the least. I will give my attorney a call tomorrow about your confidential records with our department.”
In frustration he yanked at his sleeves with a hard tug. He was worked up, stressed and angry just talking about the subject about Glam Choi and Sarah. “Jumin” He looked at me sharply. They softened in my direction. “Here” I reached for his hand.
“Let me help you.”
His hand was immediately stiff remaining perfectly still and taut. “Relax Jumin I don’t bite. Your cufflings are stuck.” I smiled at his stiff posture and rigid arm due to his nerves. He relaxed as I untangled the winding string wrapped tightly around the links. I took the moment to observe his hands further in detail. His hands were big, and yet soft considering all the papers he has to comb through each day. He had calloused hands where his pen rested between his slender fingers. He could be a hand model if he truly wanted too. I turned his palm towards the ceiling of the vehicle resting his hand on my knee to try to manipulate the buttons through the small opening. I took my other hand and touched his hands between mine. They were warm and smooth like the rest of his overall complexion. I couldn’t help myself but wonder about his hands how they felt against my own skin, and their feathery light touch. How they delicately wrapped around my own and the moments our hands accidentally brush each others around his apartment.
“Do you think you could help with this side too?” He asked softly I looked at his face. His eyes unfocused and darting. His eyes finally met mine and he quickly turned away. A hue of pink across his cheeks. Jumin Han was blushing. It was a beautiful sight. The emotionless Jumin Han was coming undone before my eyes his expression softening with each passing day. V would love to see this. I laughed to myself. If only we knew where he was.
I took his other hand in my own placing it on my lap. He seemed much more relaxed. “What do you do to your shirts if they usually get stuck like this?” I asked wiggling the string from around the links.
“I’d rather cut the shirt off of me rather than lose the cufflings. they were a present from my step-mother.”
“It’s a nice shirt on you Jumin. It would be a shame to just cut it off.”
“My patience easily wears thin when this occurs.” He huffed laughing quietly. His smile quickly vanished from his face. The way his whole face lights up is mesmerizing. I even catch myself staring at him while he is engrossed in his own work. I managed to get the button undone on his other cuff-ling. He grabbed his wrist as if it were restrained from its bonds.
“Thank you.” I nodded looking out the window until we made it back to his apartment.

“Have you ever cooked a real meal to yourself that isn’t pancakes Jumin?” I asked as we organized the papers of the new business contract. I walked over to the fridge opening up the fully stocked with various healthy foods that the chef would come in and prepare for him. Elizabeth ran herself up my leg purring as I gazed into the fridge. I grabbed my phone and called the chef.
“Please cancel dinner service tonight for Mr. Han” I grabbed defrosted steak and a few other ingredients before closing the fridge and hanging up the phone. “What are you doing?” He set down his highlighter and sticky-notes to observe what I was up too.
“You just sealed a huge deal with a corporation is that not a good reason to celebrate?” He nodded looking at me for a minute before returning to examining the papers. “No, pancakes are about the extent of my skills.”
I looked around for a cooking pan and spices to marinate the steak. “So tell me about how you and Elizabeth the Third ended up becoming a pair.” I gathered all the ingredients to make a flank steak with mashed potatoes and a vegetable of some kind.
“Rika actually suggested I take care of her.” He stopped shuffling his papers and fiddled with the diamond encrusted pen his father gave him. “Rika was pretty close to you.” I said trying to know a little more about their personal relationship. “She could tell I wasn’t very open with my emotions and Rika thought Elizabeth the Third might be able to help with that.” He smiled at the distant memory. I could never replace Rika or the hole she left in the RFA. I could only do my best to fill her shoes and her job that she left behind. She impacted everyone’s life in the RFA it seems.
“Rika seems to have touched your life too.” I said seasoning the steak. “She’s touched mine as well not in the physical sense but her presence has impacted my time with the RFA. I can only imagine how hard it must have been for you Jumin.” I smiled at him kindly, and understanding.
“If you need to ever talk about Rika or your family you can always come to me.” I told him as i searched for a potato peeler as I heated up a pot of water.
“MC do you need help?”
“If you are willing to learn I would not mind the help.” He rolled his sleeves up looking quite serious about the job he was about to do.
“Potato peeler, Jumin you are going to peel the potato and try not to cut yourself with the sharp edge.”
“Like this?” He made a quick short stroke taking off the skin very slowly and meticulously. “Perfect, and when you are done just put them in the bowl by the sink.” He peeled away at the potatoes as i eagerly grilled the steaks on his large industrial oven.
“So MC, any thought on the gender of the baby yet?”
I looked at him as he carefully peeled, a determined look on his face as if he was planning the best optimum method to cut the potato. The question throwing me off guard.  “I dont think I want to know the gender of the baby until it is born. Keeping it a surprise. As long as the child is healthy I will be happy.”
“I will be happy too for you.” He said looking at me with a half smile. “I would want a little girl I think when I do have my own children.”
I smiled at his comment I could definitely see him being more of a male oriented father, but a concerned father figure to a girl as well.
“Maybe Sarah can help you out with that.” I teased him poking his side teasingly. I laughed to myself as I checked his progress. He grabbed the potato skins and threw them at my head. I gasped at his reaction and threw them back at him.
“How rude Jumin!” He laughed and threw more potato skins at me with a wide smile. “Is this what domesticated life is like?” Jumin tossed another scrap hitting me right in my head. “Hardly a little cooking is barely domesticated.”
“Then show me the next step then.” He placed his hands on his hips eager to learn. As i showed him how to take the potato masher and smash all the potatoes his expression relaxed and the frown line typically on his forehead was gone. He was genuinely enjoying this break from C&R business.
“Come here.” Jumin told me as I walked up to him. “Do I have something on my face?” He shook his head and reached above my head removing a piece of food that got stuck in my hair from his food fight. Zen never offered to ever help me with cooking before. For the most part i would go home and cook a meal while he is at rehearsals for hours on end. Having help while cooking was a much needed change of pace.
“What is it?” I asked putting my hand over my mouth.
“Food from when I threw food at you.” He laced his fingers through my hair holding my head in place for him to grab the potato skin. He looked at me intently and smiled his thumb running over my cheek. Involuntarily i touched his arm at his touch. His fingers gently brushed my parted lips softly before withdrawing his hand. I could not shake the feeling he left at the gesture, or the pounding of my heart. My face felt red, and there was a light shade of pink on his cheeks as well,
We finished dinner discussing distant memories of our childhood and his memories of V and his travels around the world. Our shared enjoyment over wine and taste in classical music. Jumin enjoyed classical composers versus classical soundtracks from movies. He sipped on his wine as we discussed our young childhood romances and failures. Jumin almost spit out his wine when I told him that in my competitive nature I ran into a locked glass door. His laugh echoed loudly in the room and was a pleasant sound. Elizabeth climbed onto Jumin to join in the conversation.
“Thank you for teaching me how to make something other than pancakes.”
“Jumin, I will be expecting mashed potatoes and pancakes from now on from you” and we both smiled.
It felt different, or maybe I am just imagining that it feels difference since it has been a few months since i have felt anything similar to love. The panging in my heart was any indication at my growing feelings and trust with the man that kindly opened himself up to me and my unborn child. I could not just be imagining the subtle indications of affection directed towards me as well. I was in deep trouble for developing growing feelings of affection towards him. I was slowly falling for Jumin. I was falling hard for Jumin and the realization made my heart beat wildly out of my chest.

Sources: Facebook and Google now negotiating changes for sex-trafficking bill SESTA with senators, after vehemently opposing it (Cecilia Kang/New York Times)
“There is much stronger agreement among me and my colleagues that there needs to be more aggressive enforcement action on tech companies like Google,” said Senator Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat from Connecticut and a sponsor of the sex trafficking bill.
The companies, recognizing the new environment in Washington, have started to fortify their lobbying forces and recalibrate their positions. In the last year, Amazon has added antitrust to its roster of issues, hiring a former senior Senate staff member who helped shape antitrust policies. Google has paid several outside lobbying firms to argue against the sex trafficking bill, according to recent federal filings.

“We are disruptive, and that creates a lot of tension, concern, worry and jealousy and sometimes rightfully identifies real problems that need solutions,” said Ed Black, president of the Computer and Communications Industry Association, which represents Facebook, Google, Amazon and other tech companies.
Tech companies have faced political pressure in Europe for years. That is expected to continue, with regulators prepared to push a new set of proposals to get the tech companies to pay more in taxes.
The politics for the companies in the United States began to change after the 2016 presidential election, when attention turned to the role social media sites play in shaping public opinion. The scrutiny grew after companies struggled to eliminate fake content from their sites, raising fears that the platforms were too big to manage.
After Facebook revealed to Congress that it had accepted money for political ads from fake accounts linked to Russia, Senator Mark Warner, a Democrat from Virginia, started calling for new disclosure laws for the companies. He plans to begin writing a bill this week that requires Facebook and other social media companies to release funding sources for political ads, as is required for television broadcasters.
“This is uncharted territory,” Mr. Warner said in an interview. “The growth in political advertising is in the digital world, and if this is the most targeted and potentially most effective way into politics, the paid advertising rules that broadcasters rely upon should also apply in the social media world.”
Perhaps no issue in Washington has exposed the vulnerability of the tech companies as much as the sex trafficking bill. At the heart of the debate for the tech companies is a change to a 20-year-old law that prevents people from suing internet companies for things people post on websites. The companies, supported by some civil liberties groups, say the existing law has protected free speech and allowed internet companies to grow without fear of lawsuits.
The bill being debated, written by Senator Rob Portman, a Republican from Ohio, and Mr. Blumenthal, would allow state and local authorities to prosecute sites that host content related to sex trafficking. Their bill, which has bipartisan support from dozens of members in the Senate, would also enable people to sue websites.

How Facebook Is Changing Your Internet
Behind the scenes, Facebook is involved in high-stakes diplomatic battles across the globe that have begun fragmenting the internet itself.

Companies like Google and Facebook vehemently opposed the law when it was introduced, warning that it would expose web companies to numerous lawsuits because the actions of users are hard to police. The bill had provisions that would shield companies like Google and Facebook that have policies to combat sex trafficking, but the companies pushed back nonetheless.
Starting about two weeks ago, as politicians stepped up their attacks against their businesses, Facebook and Google realized that the political landscape had changed, according to two people with knowledge of the decisions who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the internal corporate decisions were private. So instead, the companies began trying to negotiate changes to the bill with Mr. Portman and other senators instead of trying to stop it entirely.
As of Tuesday, Facebook and Google were still trying to negotiate changes with Senate staff members. One effort, by Google, would block state attorneys general from prosecuting web platforms for hosting any third-party sites that aided sex trafficking. Google said the Justice Department should be the sole agency in charge of enforcing sex trafficking laws.
Mr. Portman has viewed enforcement by state attorneys general as the centerpiece of the legislation. He will not agree to weakening the enforcement role of local and state prosecutors, according to his spokesman, Kevin Smith.
“We’ll continue to engage members of Congress, anti-trafficking organizations and the industry to try and get to a resolution that addresses the problem without creating unintended side effects,” Susan Molinari, Google’s vice president of public policy, said in a statement.
Facebook appeared more eager to reach a deal with lawmakers, according to two Senate staff members and a tech industry official, who all said the company had expressed a willingness to allow state law enforcement. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because Facebook’s discussions with the lawmakers were private.
“We strongly believe that there is a legislative solution that can address this terrible problem while ensuring that the internet remains open and free and that responsible companies can continue to work to stop sex trafficking before it happens,” Erin Egan, a vice president of public policy at Facebook, said in a statement.
Senators have not held back their continued frustration with the tech industry, even as the position of the companies has changed somewhat. On Tuesday, the Senate commerce committee held an emotional hearing on bill, called the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act, that included the mother of a teenage victim of trafficking.
The Senate invited Facebook and Google to testify but they declined, according to a member of the committee staff, instead sending their trade group, the Internet Association, to represent them.
“Silicon Valley holds itself out as being more than just an industry but a movement to make the world a better place,” Mr. Portman said in the hearing. “But selling human beings online is the dark side of the internet.”
Other issues related to tech companies have gained less traction. The earliest criticism of big tech companies came from left-leaning politicians and economists, whose ideas were largely dismissed by Washington lawyers and regulators as fringe ideas. But there are signs that the companies are starting to take them more seriously now as well.
The New America Foundation, a left-leaning research group in Washington that is financed by Google and Eric Schmidt, the chairman of its parent company, recently fired a division of antitrust scholars who had been critical of the company. Google has denied playing a role in the split. In California, big tech companies joined internet service providers like AT&T and Comcast — their adversaries on many policy issues — to fight a state broadband privacy law, fearing that it could embolden other states and federal regulators to write broader internet privacy rules.
Even Amazon’s recent move to buy Whole Foods Market for $13.4 billion generated political attention. Amazon and Whole Foods have a small portion of the overall grocery market, an important measure in antitrust decisions, and the deal quickly passed an antitrust review by the Federal Trade Commission.
But some lawmakers raised questions about Amazon’s deep pockets and its ability to undercut the prices of smaller competitors.
Senator Amy Klobuchar, a Democrat from Minnesota, pressed F.T.C. officials to justify their decision, arguing that the agency should have looked at longer-term competition factors. She has also introduced a bill that would force companies to prove that their deals would not be anticompetitive in the future.
“We need to start adjusting to a world where we are right now,” said Ms. Klobuchar. “Antitrust laws haven’t been updated since the 1950s. In the 1950s, they didn’t envision a major search engine dominating the internet. They didn’t even have the internet.”
