YEA LETS GO EX-FRAMING DEPARTMENT they never even got around to teaching me production it was all wrapping and taking orders :/ Idk how it is at other shops but we only had 3 people working the whole frame shop. One person did ALL the frame assembly and us other two handled everything else. Was absolutely not worth $11/hr. man fuck retail. FUCK Design Hub too, if I may

#id come in for my like 4 hour shift and would have to run + close shop which included wrapping #wrapping storing calling for all orders done plus get all yhe frames lined plus unpack and clean up all the new frames coming in all by #all by the end of the night PLUS frame shop had to clean the bathrooms every night #plus actually running the front desk and taking orders and sometimes ppl would take hours picking matts that would cut into the time i had #to have everything else finished PLUS if i for some reason had everything done on time theyd make me run sales floor too #it was insane all the stuff they had me learn for such shit pay like. and #never work michales but never do it around the holidays more important #you will never escape the glitter #all that and my framing manager never got around to teaching me how to assemble a frame. #at least it was nice to hide in the frame shop so i wasnt talking to customers 24/7 but still #customers treat you so horribly like i was sweeping once and this lady comes up to me like saying the bathroom was disgusting right #and i get it. it was always disgusting. but we did clean it every night. anyway its hard when you cant just tell people that 1. #1 we clean them every night so if theres a huge mess in it most likely it was another shopper who pissed on the floor just cuz. #and 2 they only give us a mop and some pine sol to clean the whole 2 bathrooms every night. dont blame me blame michals lol #everything else was just so stupid #i wanna know how many framing department ppl everyone else had because we had 2 part time and 1 full time and i was only there a few months

one thing abt the bug situation in this house is i understand the spiders. we have the big house spiders cuz we have a cellar and a garden, i am not ever surprised to see a big house spider. ceiling corners is the natural habitat of the leggy spiders i think. and i understand the slugs & the isopods that came in under the back door cuz we did let that bag of potatoes sprout n then go weird right by the back door

however. when i go to piss and there is an isopod in the bathroom.... buddy what are you doing. i keep piling our leftover veg in the flower beds for you! why are you not only inside my house but up a whole flight of stairs! that is not where your rotting carrot ends are! that is not where anything is! this is the only room in the house we regularly clean every surface of!

i went to make a post but its set to miasmas blog on desktop. fun. anyway ill still make it

got told good job by someone while they were leaving (unsure if it was like. a personal thing or more just "im being nice and know this is your second day")

and got told specifically by someone that they could tell i was working hard and thanked us for cleaning something that people dont normally bother to clean. <- definitely something if you were using youd want people to clean btw. they offer u sanitation for urself i think but uh)

also got told by coworker we dont like [g] (who was working on school stuff for. a crazy amount of time + def took a super long lunch) that we were idr the phrasing hauling ass or smth similar like. man there are half a dozen things we could and should do that maybe if you got off your ass could be done but yeah thanks i am actually like doing my job.

see we know we know that its not advisable 2 give your all at work, and we definitely dont even do that, but our version of kind of slacking off still seems to be miles above what either [g] or [i] seem to be doing. and this is like. a place where it is important we do things.

#like tehres. towels and bedsheets. clothes on the floor i gotta wash. stuff i bought from teh thrift store i gotta put in the closet #stuff i bought i gotta find a space for. stuff i already have out that doesnt need to be out and needs to be moved somewhere else #the like 14 dvds i have are just. mostly taking up space and i dont even have a tv rn so i cant watch them so theyre def going into storage #also gotta put away my art supplies and tidy the desk and throw away garbage #plus the bathroom has some clothes and some garbage in it and that needs to be taken care of first or i cant mop in there #and then theres changing the bed and mopping atleast half the floor if not all of it #talkies

#i DID however - scrub and mop my whole kitchen and the wood floors - vacuumed - sprayed and scrubbed the bathroom #(i even took the long shower head down to let it soak in vinegar to ungunk it and put up a new shower curtain) #tomorrow I am gonna try to tackle the laundry and maybe put up some more artwork
