I read @bamsara ‘s fic ‘Solar Lunacy’ and it single handedly catapulted me back into my fnaf brainrot and right into the sun&moon simp club, i’m weak for y/n and moon’s snarky banter and sun’s bright yet coy personality. I could and will continue to scream about these boys for at least the next week. (And i have plans to draw some of my favorite scenes from that fic👉👈)

Monochrome is Where the Heart is
While I have yet to draft the set (and will undoubtedly find some way of forcing this when I inevitably do) Wilds of Eldraine does seem to omit one of my favorite aspects of the original set’s limited environment, that being the small monocolor subtheme. While Adamant and the small artifact synergies present in the set weren’t really able to stand out amidst some of the far flashier of the set’s mechanics (hello, Adventures!) they were more than sufficient to enable one to draft some of my favorite limited decks in recent memory. While I don’t begrudge Wilds for not including these particular themes, what harm is there in being a little self-indulgent from time to time?
Design a card which rewards/encourages the player to build a monocolor (or at least primarily monocolor) deck
Crucially, your card need not be monocolor itself this week, nor does it even need to be the color which it is encouraging you to play. Given the nature of the prompt, I don’t think it is especially practical for me to set any hard constraints on what is or is not allowed this week; So long as you are trying to fit the spirit of the prompt, you should be just fine.
I also suspect that mana costs will be a somewhat more scrutinised element this week than usual. Given that my demands lie primarily in how one might build a deck with/around your card, it would likely be in your best interest to cost your submission in such a way that makes sense for the kind of otherwise color-heavy deck it is meant to fit into. A payoff card with multiple off-colored pips will likely make for an impractical inclusion, while a card costed like Khalni Hydra could fulfill the prompt just like that.
You will be designing for standard or premier-set draft this week. Kindly inform me if your submission is more focused on the former or the latter.
Good luck!

Also I’m at that moment in life where I go through that EDH life crisis. IDK what to play, I haven’t found a deck that sparks joy a lot lately. Haven’t found the strategy that clicks with me. I *like* my decks but I haven’t found the gem that I will love to play every time. The closest for now are Gargos and Octavia. I will keep looking tho !!
