my gcse results♡

if you’ve been following my blog for some time, you would know that i was doing the health and social care btec. if not, now you know :) i’m very pleased to say that i got D2 in both the “health and social care” and “health and wellbeing” papers. this is equivalent to 7/8 gcse level apparently so i’m proud of myself :D

English - Hopefully I’ll be able to watch The Merchant of Venice in Stratford-upon-Avon. I’ve given in my letter but my school login thingy isn’t working :(( I haven’t yet heard of the story but being able to watch the play seems like an amazing experience. I literally can’t waitt!

i’m going to start posting some resources on this blog so instead of there always being cute/ motivational quotes,, once in a while there’ll be some masterposts/ links to resources :) these will be mostly science, english, maths and spanish since these are the only gcses i’m going to be doing right now due to covid making me drop a subject (history) i already finished btec health and social care and as i’m writing this i’m still waiting for results - pearson hit pause on btec results being released :/

English - We’re applying pronoun theory to politics for pragmatics which is hella fun. My booklet for English is looking so ~AeStHeTiC~  with all the pastel highlighting and annotations ^^. For some reason, in my packet I never got a green highlighter :(( 

My pragmatics book is actually so prettyy!! I write in it w a 0.38 muji pen that was gifted to me by a friend (love to her♡) and it looks so good!! but i have to wait ages to highlight without smudging ughhh. In pragmatics, we’re focusing on bojo’s (boris johnson) speeches and the theories I-

there is nothing i love more than thought of just doing things with people without really doing anything special ; i mean me cleaning the kitchen whillst my friend sits on the countertop and we just talk. we dont talk about anything but everything at the same time. i mean giving them a haul of my latest shopping spree. i mean singing badly together whilst cooking (or burning, in my case) the food but enjoying it anyway. i guess what i’m trying to say is i crave intimacy and domestic life with another person.

English - I haven’t posted an original post in a WHILE wow... But anyway, ~UpDaTe TiMe~ We have finished Animal Farm (I loved the ending) and we’re going to be moving onto Hamlet after the holidays. We’ve just acted out the backstory to set the foundations and I’m loving it already >.< I can’t wait to annotate it ^-^

I don’t know how, but i have only just discovered the academia aesthetics - light, grey dark an all of that and.. I am in loveee!! so far, dark seems to be my fave (mostly bcos it’s the one i’ve seen the most). I kinda wish I could ... become it?? but i just know i wouldn’t fit in :’( I prefer just looking at it anyway sksksks

I feel like incorporating some da into my life though - romanticizing things, reading old books and latin quotes galore - it’s all so beautiful ♡

I generally try to keep my school books neat and aesthetic and last year I didn’t really keep up w/ it so I made sure I did it this year... and I do but for some reason it’s not working for maths? why doesn’t my maths book look neat, I try really hard but ???

I haven’t posted in a while. oops. 

Quick update:

- I’ve fallen behind on my English homework scheme (2 weeks’ worth ;-; but my teacher doesn’t even check so pshhhh)

- New set of coursework for Health and Social care

- Quizlet is AMAZING for memorizing/ learning anything! Really helped my Spanish learning :)

English - I watched the Merchant of Venice today!! I was so happy omdss ^^ me and one of my close friends were both reserves but luckily we both got in :) The RSC in Stratford-Upon-Avon was so aesthetic and I ended up taking a bunch of pictures on my friends’ phones. I finally managed to get a picture in front of a red telephone box too!
