The thing is, they had 3D models for babies in the show. Auguste is a well-known recurring character, and they could have definitely used him as the basis (just like how there are hundreds of Manons with different hair color running around). That means: These things were a choice.

In Marionnettiste 2 (our glorious, controversial statue episode), Marinette and Adrien share a moment they view differently. the kiss

Marinette was horribly embarrassed, and Adrien was losing his grip on his denial. In their little talk at the end, Adrien opens himself up and mentions the girl that I love, which Marinette takes rather hard. It’s not a direct correlation, but I would call this the start of Marinette setting up Adrien and Kagami and settling for Luka. She’s trying to move on because of what happened and what he said.

In Jubilation, Ladybug and Chat Noir are caught in a shared vision of their greatest desire. Their last kiss was after they’d broken free.

Something in Chat broke when Ladybug left him and he had to follow her out of the dream. Like the statue kiss for Adrien, Ladybug’s denial started to break. She tells Chat that the vision was twisted and didn’t reflect her desires. Whether he believed her or not, he gave up. Ladybug experienced everything he wanted and she left. Their talk at the end of Jubilation is when Chat moved on.

This certainly wasn’t a parallel I expected to find, but I think it’s unmistakable. Adrien and Ladybug’s realizations of their feelings come hand in hand with them breaking Marinette and Chat’s hearts.

after watching Destruction and Jubilation, I noticed how similar Adrien and Gabriel actually are. they are mirroring each other in a different way.

Gabriel is ready to both kill (magically) and die (the acceptance of cataclysm) for his love, for getting it back to where it was. he doesn't care about anyone but himself. he is ready to destroy everyone and everything without hesitation.

Adrien was ready to cataclysm Monsieur Damocle to bring his sweetest and most desired dream life back. he is ready to die for his lady in battles. he always cares about others so much more than himself. even though he sometimes wants to destroy something or someone because of boiling emotions, he always stops and makes the right decision not to do it.

Well, Jubilation destroyed me emotionally! :D

Idk what to tell you man they're in LOVE. And it's HURTING THEM SO MUCH.

AND LIKE. AND.

AGH.

Maribug is so hung up on not loving anyone, not being able to let herself even consider the possibility of letting herself be happy and love someone and. The walls she has built around herself go SO HIGH UP. She sees herself falling in love with Chat and she's TERRIFIED OUT OF HER MIND. She shattered in there.

Meanwhile Adrichat is SO BACK behind the program and he just. he's stuck with her just not loving him back. And like he's not stupid. He knows there's more to it than that. He is aware that she kissed him after realizing it was all a dream, she didn't want to lose their life together either, she was as devastated as him when they talked afterwards. And yet... "Yeah, really super weird..."

And it doesn't add up but I can't tell if he knows WHY or not. I don't think it would be in character for him to just notice something's wrong and not press for more? Like he's so used to shit not making sense and people not telling him things and just taking it he doesn't even let himself think "hey maybe she has a reason for acting like this" because that's just How His Life Is. Like yeah actually Ladybug doesn't love me, never has, why would that have changed? Jubilation fucking with their brains makes more sense to him than Ladybug actually being in love with him.

Also fun and of note is that that was literally just chat blanc with green eyes at the wedding. And in-dream logic most likely made it so ladybug didn't think twice about it in the moment but i am SURE it was the first thing she thought about afterwards. I don't think her mentioning the wedding at the end was out of pure cringe. I think it's making the whole thing even worse for her<3

Anyway yeah i'm in pain, they're in pain, Gabriel's villain suits get uglier the more powerful he gets, we're having a time over here jdhsjhd

I was thinking about episode Jubilation and couldn’t help but wonder:

How many years do you think Ladybug and Chat Noir spent together after getting hit by the Gift attack? If Adrien was able to be stuck for over three months by using second chance to try and save Ladybug, surely it’s possible that Ladynoir spent years in the Gift bubble?

And if so...

Imagine finding out that all those years you spent with someone you love and married and had babies with was all...

One thing the fandom really missed about Jubilation is the fact that in the wedding scene, Ladybug throws the alarm clock, and Rena Rouge catches it.

That means by implication that the dream world also includes freaky doll babies dressed in Rena Rouge+Carapace onesies.
