Hi Black selfshippers are treated like absolute DOGSHIT in this community, and even if they’re not… Not a lot of artists even put in the effort to drawing black individuals (poc in general, but i’m talking about black people specifically rn).

So i wanted to do smth special. For black selfshippers who order literally ANYTHING from me (from headshots to full sheets), your price will be discounted by 50% !! That seems dumb & sounds like smth that’ll overwork me, but genuinely i WANT more black selfshippers to have stuff made of their ships, so i wanna give them the chance to get smth without gouging their pockets. (obvi follow my normal TOS, but other than that, everything’s cool :3)

I obviously can’t fact check every single person’s skin tone & ancestry, so i will take your word for it. (Don’t be a dick & lie. I’m giving all of you the benefit of the doubt). Just give me some kind of indication that you want the BHM discount specifically.

for starters:

be self indulgent! be so so incredibly self indulgent, be selfish with your works. write for yourself, draw for yourself. i know thats easier said than done and believe me i am still learning to be like that, but i promise its so *so* worth it because guess what? being self indulgent is fun, doing things for yourself is so *so* fun!!

like was said in that post probably, do aus, play with your favourites, add new tropes, add the most abstract things to whatever youre creating!! who cares if what youve did was did multiple times, who cares if its the same thing over and over, its NEW because guess what *you* made it and thats awesome :]

selfshipping is really cool and fun! like this entire post is on about, its for you and you should enjoy yourself, you should have fun! its ok if you dont write fics, its ok if you dont draw things for it, its ok if you dont do anything inside the community and are keep it hidden. whatever you do, thats so rad and your f/o loves and adores you w/e you do to show your love for them!

reminder: be easy on yourself. let yourself enjoy things, let yourself enjoy the process, let yourself explore. you should be gentle. never doubt yourself, do things you love, be self indulgent and have fun with it. whether you want to show it off to the world or not; its for you.
