Alright now i've finished Azran Legacy, so i feel like i can finally make a side blog for Layton stuff so i can post about it without feeling like im bothering people on my main one lmao Just gonna dump all my recent art here (warning for spoilers for Unwound Future and Miracle Mask sort of)

had this sketch stitting around so i finally cleaned it up a bit for this ask sjdjdk

sawtooth and squarewave are there ofc! theyre helping as best as they can, i imagine dirk build them for a different purpose but then was like "wait actually leaving hal alone with a toddler in a postalocalyptic future in the middle of the ocean is a very shit idea" so he left them in stasis with hal to act as a moral support lmfao. daves having a blast with squarewave, its a rapoff 24/7 in this household, and sawtooth isnt around too much like in the canon, but when he shows up he keeps an eye on both of them (very youngest-middle-oldest sibling dynamic with hal as a tired robodad). also hal and sawtooth are in a constant argument about how to best raise this human child (theyre both probably kinda garbage at it but theyre trying their best)

What if nmj simply died of qi deviation without jgys music, would his fierce corpse still be so obsessed with jgy, even though he had nothing with his death in this scenario?

i've been searching for a post i reblogged from @labyrynth last year that includes a bunch of good discussion on exactly this point, but since i can't find it, the tl;dr version is no, nmj does not realize that jgy triggered his qi deviation.

what nmj does know at the time of his death is that he has been looking down the figurative barrel of impending qi deviation for years already, and that his intense sabre cultivation during the sunshot campaign just advanced the timeline of the inevitable. nmj's intense resentment and hatred towards jgy doesn't stem from jgy being his murderer. it comes from 1) their confrontation on the langya front during the war when nmj witnesses meng yao killing the jin commander who had been abusing him, 2) the whole traumatic mess that goes down between them inside the scorching sun palace right before meng yao assassinates wen ruohan and saves nmj's life, and 3) nmj rightly clocking that the lanling jin are sheltering and covering up xue yang's wiping out of the yueyang chang sect and the baixue temple, so that they can take advantage of his demonic cultivation--but wrongly laying the blame for this completely at jgy's feet instead of placing the blame where it actually belongs, which is with his shitty father.

with /gestures @ the above, all of that taken into consideration, i genuinely believe that even if jgy hadn't been involved in nmj's death, nmj still would have become a fierce corpse from the sheer intensity of his resentment and hatred, and tried to kill him anyway. i think jgy still would have had to desecrate his remains and scatter them across the jianghu to suppress nmj's killing intent.

it makes me wonder, would nhs still think jgy was responsible for nmj's death under those circumstances? 🤷‍♀️ i think it's possible, and just emphasizes how utterly doomed by the narrative jgy was as soon as he sealed nmj's meridians on the langya front and ran away.

@bianca-hooks123 (tell me this makes sense for the love of god) So, going off my last post about Danny stopping Trigon, albeit unintentionally, it gave me the idea of Danny and Raven somewhat growing up together cause I can see the former Ghost King and Trigon being on-and-off ex's this also goes with another post I'll probably find later and tag in this one.

Anyways the former Ghost King didn't try to kill Danny obviously and one day while Danny was in the Realms Trigon appears and him and the Ghost King start fighting, Danny just watches and is immensely confused whenever the fight ends and they start making out or smth.

So Danny starts to know more about Trigon and eventually finds out that he has a daughter around Danny's age, so Danny being the little gremlin he is decides why not fuck with her, but when he starts observing her he realizes how fucking traumatized she is and feels bad.

So one day, when she's out as a civilian, he 'accidentally' bumps into her and apologizes, offering to buy her lunch as a form of apology, and by some fucking miracle she agrees, and they start hanging out more and more eventually becoming friends.
