I think we as a society would benefit if we stopped acting like ALL fictional couples must be endgame and perfectly right for each other. Some fictional couple are meant to break up. I don't know how much I agree on letting Camilla's contract end when Justin left. They should've sent off Karev better that's for damn sure, but Camilla doesn't deserve to lose her job because Justin decided to leave. As for Deluca, I did not care for his character, but I was quite shocked with his ending; undoubtedly surprising. But it seems like all Mer's love interests that don't make it, end up leaving/dying. Which is idiotic if you ask me. Amelink... well, the writers decided to ruin the healthiest relationship they had and that's that. I've always said that they could've used Helm to introduce a non-binary character but they went a different direction that I honestly don't understand. I've moved on from amelink a long time ago; there was no saving them after THAT season finale. Yikes.

As a merluca fan, I approve of nick marsh. Even after I said I’d never accept anyone else with Meredith. I was convinced Andrew was The One after Derek, but nick is good. There’s like a 50/50 chance that I only like him because Scott Speedman, but also I like how they handled the relationship this season, so I’m just praying they stay on track lmao, and that he doesn’t die

Okay, I haven't been the biggest fan of Meredith and Nick. I think I am still bitter about what they did to her and Deluca. However, that final scene of the episode solidified them for me.

It might just be me and my 'love language' but the fact he stayed up late, waited for her to come home, wasn't annoyed she missed the dinner and left him on his own to deal with her family, had dinner waiting for her, and just was there to provide that comfort and support.

That to me is the love that Meredith deserves after all this time. She deserves to have someone going out of their way to make sure she is supported and feels loved.
