Imane Maarifi, a French North African nurse, who was helping in the European hospital in Gaza for 15 days and just came back said that adults are making makeshift fireworks (like small ones not actual fireworks) and sometimes they reunite the children and use the fake fireworks and tell them that the bomb noises their hear are just children using fireworks somewhere else to try and reassure the kids when they are too scared…
She said that they have to make very difficult choices giving the exemple of a child who had a bullet wound. The bullet was still inside so he needed surgery and they couldn’t give him a tiny bit of morphine to calm the pain while he was waiting because if they did it meant doing the surgery without morphine so they kept the morphine for his surgery…
She also explained how it’s going to be worst for the next team (PalMed and Doctors without borders) cause the bombs are getting closer and closer each day…
Edit: I’m adding a video of part of her testimony with English subtitles.

BIRTHDAY PROJECT FOR PEDRO PASCALS 49TH BIRTHDAY!
After the success of last years birthday project, where we raised an incredible $2,683 for abortion rights we are back again with another birthday fundraising project!
This year we are raising funds that will go directly to doctors without borders / Médecins Sans Frontières - a charity that we know Pedro himself is very passionate about.
Donations and shares are very greatly appreciated as we aim to hit our first goal of $490! The fundraiser is live now and will remain live until Pedro’s birthday on the 2nd April.
I am co-chairing this fundraiser with my partner in kind @leslie-lyman again this year - please feel free to reach out to either of us if you have any questions!
Please donate, reblog and share if you can ❤️

Waiting for Apartheid Israel to say Medecins Sans Frontiers is Hamas-controlled.
Fucking snipers shooting at patients.
I want to say there is no humanity in Apartheid Israel, but we cannot and must not dehumanise the Occupiers even if we want, we must acknowledge that this IS humanity, at its most fetid and foul.
To dehumanise them is to console yourself with the thought that surely a person cannot be this evil.
They can be, we have seen it, we are seeing it again.
Monstrous actions from fellow human beings.

🚨 Doctors Without Borders:
Nasser Medical Complex is still besieged, and we are unable to receive patients at our field hospital.
The occupation authorities do not facilitate the evacuation process of patients from Nasser Complex for treatment at the field hospital.
Occupation forces are deployed around the hospitals in the Gaza Strip and prevent access to them.
We are very concerned about the continued detention of our medical teams, and they must be kept away from the conflict.
The residents and displaced people in the northern areas of the Gaza Strip are suffering from severe famine and a catastrophic health situation.
Field hospitals belonging to international organizations in Rafah are unable to accommodate the displaced and the residents.

Also the bravery of doctors, nurses and medical staff, who stay on in places like Gaza knowing that hospitals can be bombed at any time and yet they do not leave - one doctor talking about how moving babies from the NICU would kill them and so they have to stay - is incredible. They are the true Gods. Not any imaginary higher power in the skies in whose name people commit unimaginable horrors.

“Teimme mitä pystyimme. Muistakaa meidät.” Lääkärimme kirjoitti nämä sanat gazalaisen sairaalan taululle, jota tavallisesti käytetään leikkausten suunnittelussa. Kun aseet hiljenevät ja tuhon todellinen laajuus paljastuu, pystyttekö Te ja Suomen hallitus sanomaan saman? In English: The Finnish section of Doctors Without Borders wrote an open letter to the Finnish PM and foreign minister to implore an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
The quotation above: "We did what we could. Please remember us." Our doctors wrote these words on a board, usually used to plan surgeries, in a hospital in Gaza. When the weapons go quiet and the true extent of the destruction is revealed, will You and the Finnish government be able to say the same?"

Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine calls on Doctors without border to organize a mission to Azovstal to evacuate Ukrainian defenders
“The deplorable conditions in which all those besieged in Azovstal, the lack of access to medical care, and the worsening of the their physical and psychological state are clear violations of Chapter IX, Article 55 of the United Nation’s Charter, which requires universal respect for, and observance of, human rights and fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion, as well as of the UN Declaration of Human Rights, and the Helsinki Accords” - says Iryna Vereshchuk, the Minister of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine in the letter to Michel-Olivier Lacharite, MSF head of emergencies and MSF Country Director in Ukraine.
Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, referring to the principles which guide MSF organization’s work, calls on MSF to organize a mission to evacuate the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal and provide medical care to the wounded people, whose human rights were violated by Russian Federation.
The evacuation of the civilians from Azovstal and Mariupol was agreed by The United Nations and International Committee of the Red Cross. However, neither the UN, nor the Red Cross have taken the responsibility of evacuation of defenders and wounded soldiers. The activists across the world have been calling on the United Nations, European Union, President of Turkey to save defenders. However, none of the actions has helped to rescue the defenders of Azovstal.
The defenders are for 72 days in a row under the ongoing shelling and attacks by the Russian army, and, consequently, are constantly getting injured. They were securing the safety of the civilians, trapped in the besieged city, sharing their food and water, and curing the injured citizens for all this time. Now, there is a lack of medicines, water and food, wounded soldiers are dying because of gangrene and sepsis.
As being said in the letter, according to the MSF charter, the organization provides assistance to populations in distress, and to victims of armed conflict irrespective of race, religion, creed, or political convictions, guaranteeing the neutrality and impartiality in the name of universal medical ethics and the right to humanitarian assistance.
“Based on the principles which guide your organization’s work, the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine asks that MSF form a mission to evacuate the defenders of Mariupol currently trapped inside the Azovstal steel mill and their injured, assess their physical and mental conditions, bear witness to the conditions in which they have been living, and provide medical care to the Ukrainians who have had their human rights violated by the Russian Federation.” - the letter said.
❗PLEASE HELP UKRAINIAN DEFENDERS❗

Anyway, I'd like to remind everyone that genocide is still being committed in Gaza, not just with guns and bombs but with disease and starvation.
Please take a moment to support humanitarian efforts there:

CNN:
Hundreds of families gathered in the West Darfur capital of El Geneina on June 15, plotting their escape from what had become a hellscape of blown-out buildings scrawled with racist graffiti and streets strewn with corpses. The state governor had just been executed and mutilated by Arab militia groups, leaving civilians with no choice but to flee.
What followed was a gruesome massacre, eyewitnesses said, believed to be one of the most violent incidents in the genocide-scarred Sudanese region’s history. The powerful paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and its allied militias hunted down non-Arab people in various parts of the city and surrounding desert region, leaving hundreds dead as they ran for their lives…
…residents set off en masse from southern El Geneina, many trying to reach the nearby Sudanese military headquarters where they thought they might find safety. But they said they were quickly thwarted by RSF attacks. Some were summarily executed in the streets, survivors said. Others died in a mass drowning incident, shot at as they attempted to cross a river. Many of those who managed to make it out were ambushed near the border with Chad, forced to sit in the sand before being told to run to safety as they were sprayed with bullets.
“More than 1,000 people were killed on June 15. I was collecting bodies on that day. I collected a huge number,” one local humanitarian worker, who asked not to be named for security reasons, told CNN. He said the dead were buried in five different mass graves in and around the city.
Conflict erupted between the RSF and the Sudanese army in April. Since then, more than one million people have fled to neighboring countries, according to estimates from the International Organization for Migration.
Now, a telecommunications blackout and the flight of international aid groups have all but cut off Darfur from the outside world. But news of the June 15 massacre began trickling out of the region from refugees who escaped to Chad. The evidence uncovered by CNN suggests that, behind a curtain of secrecy, the RSF and its allies are waging an indiscriminate campaign of widespread killings and sexual violence unlike anything the region has seen in decades.
The RSF’s official spokesperson told CNN that it “categorically” denied the allegations.
“To say you were Masalit was a death sentence,” said Jamal Khamiss, a human rights lawyer, referring to his non-Arab tribe, one of the biggest in Darfur. Khamiss was among those who said that they fled from El Geneina to Chad, surviving a series of RSF and allied militia positions by concealing his ethnicity.
The United Nations raised the alarm in June over ethnic targeting and killing of people from the Masalit community in El Geneina, after reports of summary executions and “persistent hate speech,” including calls to kill or expel them.
The vast majority of those who managed to make it out of El Geneina alive sought refuge in the Chadian border town of Adre, about 22 miles (35 kilometers) away from the city.
On June 15, the town received the highest number of migrants in a single day, along with the highest number of casualties — 261 — since the Sudan conflict broke out, according to Doctors Without Borders, widely known by its French name, Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), which runs the only hospital in Adre. The number of wounded people that arrived at the hospital was even higher the next day: 387.
“The last time we recorded the death toll in Geneina it was 884,” one local humanitarian worker from El Geneina, who works for a Western non-profit organization, told CNN. “That was June 9. After June 9, it was a different story. The dead became uncountable.”
Action Against Hunger is accepting donations to provide health, sanitation and nutrition services to Sudanese refugees in Chad.
