i remember a story i had started writing around 10-12 yo that was about 4 people, 2 girls 2 boys, from the same school who were turned into elemental beings almost overnight. water was a self insert, earth was one of my friends, fire was a random pretty dude that was water's romantic interest and air was an oc that was the school's good looking solitary bad boy that earth was really into, both at school and in disguise as the elements fighters

water earth and fire found each other rapidly and were trained or whatever but air was working against us and it caused drama cause the elements had to be working together to save the world (or whatever)

there was a whole thing about water and fire being in love but not being able to touch and oh, sam, you useless lesbian. i just remembered about how earth was always described as cheeky and beautiful and funny and a good friend and person to have around and my god damn imaginary boyfriend couldnt TOUCH my character aghshdjd thats, like, really gay
