✦ so for her to see you as a perfect role model (much to her brother's envy) it’s only natural that she’d see your partner in a similar light, after all if she wants to be like you then whoever you go for is who she’d go for right? just a harmless puppy crush on them <3

✦ so expect plenty of moments where she's pulling you aside to ask for advice about relationships, and if you ever try to go on a date then it's not a rare thing to spot her in the distance watching the both of you.

✦ And you’re right, wind is a fair bit jealous that his older sibling is having their focus away from him so often. #HEAR ME OUT. they’re introduced and newt and being a groupie and behind him hermann is all huffing and rolling his eyes and shaking his #head but he’s Not Angry. no. he jumps to defend newt albeit in a somewhat mocking and sarcastic way BUT THE THOUGHT IS THERE. and then when #hermann is rambling on about numbers being the handwriting of god newt is in the background smiling and laughing and making silly #hand motions and yes the hand motion was a bit mocking BUT THATS THEIR WHOLW THINF. anyways i’m not done. when newt drifts with the kaiju #and pentecost is there talking to him and hermann and newt r yelling back in forth u can hear the unease and shakiness in their voices and #especially the frustration in hermanns. he’s frustrated abt newt risking his life and is worried abt that which translates out in anger. #and yeah maybe he’s salty abt being proven wrong too lmao. maybe i’m insane but especially for academic purposes but also just in general... dry, clear, and concise technical writing that presents itself clearly (the ideal here being peer reviewed journal articles, though I recognize there is variability in those) is just so much easier to read and follow along with than news articles or websites made for the public. It takes me longer to understand the point of a national geographic article than it does the nature article it was written about.

Ya the Sonelise 'romance' felt really dry in 06. As a kid I always saw it as platonic aside from the smooch scene (which was more like magical CPR than anything else)

yeah the very very few moments that do actually read as explicitly romantic just seem out of place because of how Not Romantic most of their other interactions felt. like if you wiped my brain of all knowledge of sonic 06 (not the entire franchise Just sonic 06) and i went and played it rn id probably be genuinely shocked by elise kissing sonic. both because of how out of nowhere it feels and also because a realistic human girl kissing a dead cartoon hedgehog is just weird as hell to watch

and im not saying this in a "oh i wish it was more obvious" kind of way im saying it in a "they shouldnt have tried to say they were in love at all" sort of way. and i dont think sonic should have a canon love interest anyway regardless of how i feel about sonic and elise specifically

#im trying so hard to distract myself #im blasting music in my ears to the point i might end up with tinnitus one day #im replaying some of my favorite songs #im playing my comfort songs #but im ngl im still a bit nervous #the urge to just grab my pocket knife and just. slit my wrist open where a major artery is or smthin or down a bunch of pills is SO strong #im tired of living. im tired of suffering everyday and being too scared to message anyone abt it bc i hate bothering people #not to mention when i finally DO have the guts to msg someone theyre already going through sht and i dont wanna put more on them #its not the first and it wont be the last time that i have the urge to just fuckign kill myself but. #i genuinely just dont see the point in me living. #people on here only see the brighter sides of me bc i only post the best of my days usually #but ive been in an abusive relationship. i have religious trauma. i have trauma from when i was a child that gave me ptsd. #i have serious depression. and i cant even take anti depressants because im on seizure meds. #life has always been nothing but shit and im sick of trying to be positive for everyone only to be called all sorts of names and abandoned #idk. maybe dying really wont be so bad. maybe it wont be painful. i dont know. i really dont. #im typing everything here bc i dont want to post this openly and ik 99.9% of people dont read my tags anyway so its...a nice way of venting #i think.
