Today is the first day of the month of #sagadawa celebrating the Birth, #enlightenment and #nirvana of the #buddha which all happened on the coming #fullmoon Today is the New Moon and begins this holy time. Because of the great events that occurred, it is believed that the power of the energy still effects us today, and if we connect to this it is a great multiplier and magnifier of our practice. So during this month we really go deep within and examine ourselves, our mind, and apply the practices with renewed vigor and discipline. It is said that all of our actions positive and negative are multiplied, so if we concentrate on creating positive actions then this is increased many fold. And likewise we are extra careful not to create any negativity with our body, speech and mind. It is an ideal time to clear away bad habits that hinder our progress on the path. And to enact the ones that are supportive. There are infinite ways to create virtue; with our physical actions, our speech and with our thoughts...
