Kate Middleton is being criticized for addressing mental health issues that pregnant women face after she didn't publicly support Meghan Markle.
Kate was announced as the royal patron of a UK-based charity that aims to raise awareness of the mental health struggles that pregnant women and new mothers face.
In a video shared to mark maternal mental health awareness week, Middleton said that "no one is immune" to experiencing anxiety and depression.
"It is crucial, therefore, that all those who might be struggling are given the right support at the right time," she said.
People online were quick to criticize Middleton for failing to speak about the topic when Meghan Markle said she experienced suicidal thoughts while pregnant in 2019. 👀👀👀

On another random note...
Thursday was M's one month pediatric appointment. Apparently there is a maternal mental health screening completed in conjunction with that appointment. The screening is a questionnaire that I had to complete on MyChart. The kicker is that I had to complete the screening in the office instead of before the appointment with the precheck process. Why is this a big deal? Well, I had to awkwardly fill out this survey in the exam room while sitting between the peds nurse and my husband with absolutely no privacy. I found it very challenging to be honest in my responses with my husband reading over my shoulder, and several times he chimed in and said things like, "I would say the answer to that is 'never', you are doing great!" Not in a malicious way, he truly thinks I'm doing amazing because I just don't talk to him about everything that I experience emotionally. He knows I struggle sometimes, but not the extent of it. Also, there was this (likely irrational) primal fear that kicked in that if I was too honest someone would take my baby from me. All of the feelings of losing my twins flooded with that thought and I felt like I had to do whatever it took to make sure I didn't get another baby ripped from me. So yeah, a not so fun experience.
To be clear though, I don't think I have PPD or PPA. I think I have grief, trauma responses and generalized anxiety that are all heightened in this postpartum period.

Tragedy in Duxbury, Massachusetts has raised questions about maternal mental health after a woman, Lindsay Clancy, ki**ed her three children. Postpartum psychosis is believed to be the underlying factor behind the tragedy.
Postpartum psychosis is a rare but serious mental illness that can occur after a woman gives birth. It affects approximately 1 to 2 women per 1,000 live births and can cause symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations, and confusion. The condition can develop rapidly and can be life-threatening for both the mother and her children.
This tragedy highlights the need for a better understanding of maternal mental health and the importance of seeking help when needed.

Preventive Measures for Pregnancy related Mental Health Disorders | Solh Wellness
Pregnancy is a complex and challenging experience that can be harmful to a woman's physical and mental health. The expectant mother may experience significant stress and anxiety as a result of hormonal changes, physical discomforts, and the anticipation of becoming a parent. These difficulties can sometimes result in mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Because these conditions can have a negative impact on both the mother's and the baby's health, it is critical to take preventive measures to improve mental health before things worsen.

Pregnant Women's Mental Health Problems
While mood swings and sadness are normal during pregnancy, prolonged sadness can lead to a variety of mental health problems. A pregnant woman may experience the following mental health issues:
Depression during pregnancy or within the first year after giving birth is referred to as perinatal depression. It is estimated that up to 20% of pregnant women and 15% of postpartum women are affected.
PPD is a form of postpartum depression that affects one out of every seven women. Sadness, hopelessness, guilt, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, and loss of interest in activities are all symptoms.
Up to 20% of pregnant women and 10% of postpartum women suffer from anxiety disorders.
Bipolar disorder is a serious mental illness characterised by extreme mood swings, including episodes of mania and depression. It can also happen during pregnancy and after giving birth.
OCD is a type of anxiety disorder characterised by intrusive, unwanted thoughts and compulsive behaviours. It can also happen during pregnancy and after giving birth.
Interventions for Preventive Mental Health in Pregnant Women
Preventive health measures must be implemented during pregnancy to avoid complications. Solh Wellness strives to offer the best preventive mental health solutions at a reasonable cost. Solh Wellness suggests the following mental health prevention strategies:

Physical activity has been shown to improve mood and alleviate anxiety and depression symptoms. Pregnant women should discuss safe pregnancy exercise options with their doctor.
A well-balanced diet can benefit both physical and mental health during pregnancy.
Support from family and friends: Having a strong support network during pregnancy can reduce stress and improve mental health.
Women who have access to pregnancy and childbirth education and information may feel more prepared and confident, reducing anxiety and stress.
Mindfulness and relaxation techniques such as meditation and deep breathing can help to reduce stress and promote a sense of calm during pregnancy.
Pregnant women who are struggling with mental health issues may benefit from counselling or therapy to help manage their symptoms and improve their mental health.
Conclusion
It is critical to take preventive measures to improve maternal mental health during pregnancy because it can harm both the mother and the baby. Pregnant women can reduce their risks and ensure a healthy outcome for themselves and their babies by receiving regular prenatal care, exercising, eating a healthy diet, and seeking counselling or therapy.

When and in what order to the rest of the recoms start considering the Spelling siblings 'one of their own' ?
first was lyle, cause he's lyle, he's here for a good time not a long time, and he thinks the siblings are fun. if quaritch trusts them, he trusts them. if quaritch treats them like his own, he's gonna follow.
second was Zdog, though she's more hesitant to show it; she heard them plotting threats against ardmore and knew she liked them. she reluctantly mothers them (calls them morons while also throwing water at them or aggressively forcing them to let her wrap their wounds, type vibes) and joins in on their plotting (she hates ardmore with a passion, she's a bitch). I think zdog was one of those people back on earth that wanted kids, maybe not as like a lifelong goal, but as a passive thought, but then she joined the RDA and earth go worse and that idea went from the backburner to the trashcan. so to have an opportunity to take care of some kids is welcome no matter how much of a hardass she had become in her time as a soldier/mercenary (I don't know her exact position, pre or post-war outside of being a recom)
third was fike and ja (I will never not see them like a bonded pair of cats, so I feel like they would accept the siblings together), they were unsure at first, cause the siblings are a lot and every time they thought they fully understood them they would find another dozen layers to them. but eventually they find that the siblings are both fun but trustworthy and good kids. I think they're like lyle, but more cautious, they don't have the bond with quaritch that would let them accept the kids just because he did.
and lastly, mansk; I don't think he bonded last for any specific reason, he just doesn't like making connections, so it just takes more time or him. he survived by staying apathetic and disconnected, so he tried to continue that with the kids, but they did eventually worm his way into his heart.
