Prominente Freunde fürs Leben

©Shace Wenn die Seele krank ist… Jedes Jahr erkranken fünf Millionen Menschen in Deutschland an einer Depression, knapp 10.000 sterben durch Suizid. 600 davon sind Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene. Alkohol, Drogen, Magersucht, HIV – all diese Themen werden richtigerweise im Unterricht an deutschen Schulen behandelt. Doch leider wird ein weiteres wichtiges Thema übersehen, denn über Stresserkrankungen wie Depressionen hier gibt es keine ausreichende Aufklärung. Auch werden Depressionen oft verharmlost, dabei handelt es sich um eine ernst zu nehmende Krankheit. Laut Weltgesundheitsorganisation WHO soll sie bis 2021 sogar die zweithäufigste psychische Erkrankung auf der ganzen Welt sein. Höchste Zeit, um aktiv zu werden. Das findet auch der deutsch-niederländische Schauspieler Adriaan van Veen und engagiert sich wie u. a. Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, Jürgen Vogel, Nina Gnädig, Clueso und Markus Kavka gegen Mobbing und Depressionen im Verein „Freunde fürs Leben“. Denn als TV-Lehrer im RTLZWEI-Format „Krass Schule – Die jungen Lehrer“ (die neuen Folgen starten ab 15. September, immer montags bis freitags um 17.05 Uhr) erhält der 30-Jährige über sein öffentliches Instagram-Profil täglich Hilferufe von Jugendlichen. Die persönlichen Nachrichten gehen ihm sehr zu Herzen, deshalb unterstützt Adriaan van Veen nun „Freunde fürs Leben“. Der Verein informiert über Suizid und Depressionen bei Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen, damit Signale frühzeitig erkannt und Hilferufe besser gedeutet werden können. Aktiv gegen Depressionen Betroffene fühlen sich über viele Tage hinweg niedergeschlagen, selbst positive Erlebnisse können ihre Stimmung nicht verbessern. „Im Gegensatz zu beispielsweise einem gebrochenen Arm, sieht niemand, wenn es der Seele schlecht geht. Dabei muss man sich absolut nicht schämen. Denn eine Depression ist eine Krankheit. Wichtig ist, dass man selbst erkennt, wenn man aus der Spirale nicht mehr herauskommt und dass man bereit ist, sich helfen zu lassen“, sagt Adriaan van Veen. „Wir alle können und dürfen nicht wegschauen, wenn so viele Menschen von Depressionen betroffen sind.“ In einer Langzeitstudie analysierte das Robert-Koch-Institut die mentale Verfassung Heranwachsender und fand heraus, dass in den letzten Jahren die „Stresserkrankung Depression unter Minderjährigen und jungen Erwachsenen“ kontinuierlich ansteigt. Inzwischen ist der Suizid nach depressiver Erkrankung unter Jugendlichen die zweithäufigste Todesursache. Neben Liebe, Familie und Mobbing wird auch die Schule immer häufiger als Auslöser der Depression genannt. Betroffene finden oft keinen Therapieplatz, Lehrer sind überfordert und auch die Eltern wissen sich nicht zu helfen. Denn: In jeder Lebensphase kann man an einer Depression erkranken – von der Kindheit bis ins hohe Alter. Seit 2001 klärt der Verein „Freunde fürs Leben“ über die Themen Suizid und seelische Gesundheit vor allem online – also genau da, wo die Zielgruppe ist – auf Social Media, YouTube, via Podcast und unter www.frnd.de auf und schafft durch Informationsvermittlung über Warnsignale, Hilfsangebote und Therapiemöglichkeiten Transparenz. So wird mit kreativen und jugendlichen Projekten und Kampagnen das Tabu-Themen Suizid und Depressionen öffentlich. Betroffene tauschen sich aus und sind präventiv aktiv, um Signale frühzeitig erkennen und Hilferufe besser deuten zu können. Adriaan van Veen wurde früher selbst gemobbt

©Adriaan van Veen Der Schauspieler unterstützt „Freunde fürs Leben“ und spricht über seine eigene Erfahrung. „Als ich klein war, wurde ich von vier älteren Jungs vom Fahrrad gezogen. Sie haben mir eine brennende Zigarette in den Mund gesteckt und mich ausgelacht“, erzählt Adriaan van Veen offen. Eine Erfahrung, die man nicht so leicht wegsteckt. Auch sein Weg zum Titel „Mister Bremen 2019“ erforderte unglaubliche Disziplin. So nahm der gebürtige Hannoveraner 20 Kilo in sechs Monaten ab und überzeugte die Jury – nach regelmäßigem Training und einer Ernährungsumstellung – mit seiner natürlichen Art. Seitdem hat sich viel verändert und Adriaan van Veen konnte die Model- und Fernsehbranche erobern: Er lief u. a. bei der „Pompöös Couture Show Unadjusted Royal“ für Designer Harald Glööckler auf der Berlin Fashion Week über den Catwalk und stand nach seiner Schauspielausbildung bereits für „Unter uns“ und „Alles was zählt“ (RTL), „Die Chefin“ (ZDF), „Hashtag Daily“ (Webserie) uvm. vor der Kamera. God, I love Meredith...

He heard her shuffling, walking over to the side table and then coming back. The heavy click of a lighter sounded, shortly followed by a hissing intake of air, one that he knew was laced with nicotine and all those other chemicals. He’d given up smoking long ago, but he swore that he could taste a cig every single time he saw Johnny’s avatar light up, like a ball of tar right in the back of his throat. Still, the air in Night City was laced with cig smoke, one big fucking ashtray – there was no getting away from it, so he didn’t complain as Meredith blew the offending cloud into the warm recycled air.

Her breath sounded shaky, almost uncertain, slightly shuddering as she took in her second inhale. Was it the chemicals doing their work, or was she suddenly coming down from the sex after all?

“Want a smoke?”

Her voice was small as she asked it, but he obliged to give her an answer. He guessed that instead of sleeping, this was how she unwound after sex. V rolled over onto his back, legs splayed, letting out an exhausted grunt in affirmation as he looked at her. Her eyes where lit by the warm orange glow of the cig as she took in another deep drag, and he took the time to contemplate her as she stood there savouring it. Her body was almost turned away from him, looking snug in that harness, red lines where things had rubbed or dug against skin. She had a drying sheen of sweat on her body, reflecting the meagre neon lights. He couldn’t help but appreciate her ass again as she turned and leant over him, delicate fingers guiding the cig in between his dry lips.

Firstly, art! @ladyinthebluebox and my V’s are chaotic chooms! I’ve been meaning to draw Veroshka and Markus together for a while!

Then Markus continues to be my muse, but any art of him is taking forever to finish! And finally my spicy Valeveira piece for Valentine’s is coming on nicely 😏💕

I’m still on that V x Meredith fic. And as @alexandrintea quite rightly called me out for, my smutty one shot gained some annoying character development. Oh well! 😝

He collapsed on his front, spent, and she spread herself on top of him, sweat between them, his breathing laboured.

He felt her lips curl into a smile against his neck, right before she took a searing bite at the skin there, ending it in a full-lipped kiss. He was too tired to react, and she continued the bites, determined to leave bruises in her wake.

‘Mmmm...,” she breathed. “Now this I like the look of. You’re surprisingly ink-less for a merc.” Her lips, wet, soft, found their way up to his ear. “Street kid,” she almost hissed.

V moaned his disapproval at the way she’d said it, like she was speaking ill of him. Just like she was. Still, he dismissed it, managing to drag a hand upwards to try to pull her down beside him. She might be the last person he would sleep with, why not try to get a little more connection out of it.

She must have noticed what he was trying to do, because she dug her palms into his shoulder blades, hoisting herself upward and onto her knees next to him. She settled herself, the squeaking of her leather stockings causing V to turn his head to her.

“C’mon. I’m fucked, you must be too. Let’s just sleep it off together.” He didn’t like how it sounded. He must have sounded desperate.

Meredith's eyes glared at him. He couldn’t read them, but the almost tender hand she dragged up the back of his thigh told him that she probably wanted to.

“I can’t. Even if I wanted to I’m so jacked up on neurostims I wouldn’t sleep. Hmph,” she smiled cruelly again, moving into his face close, lips pushing a kiss onto his, “although I am still rather high on your cock!”

He closed his eyes as he felt her weight leave the bed. “Militech will probably call me at any moment. And if I don’t answer they’ll come get me. Don’t particularly want to be found by my superiors in this shitty motel with a merc I was doing business with not long ago. You know what corpo life is like. If there’s any hint of weakness or scandal for your colleagues then there’s a feeding frenzy.”
