Continuing my saga of making Reference Sheets for my Neopets.
Nilo lives in a small island near Mystery Island, using his Water powers to fish. An aggressive Maraquan Grarrl attacked a group of boats, he managed to save all the fishermen, but lost his arm during the fight.
Since then, every year the villagers holds a festival dedicated to Nilo and his courage, he is even given the title of the village's lucky charm.

omg happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!
how does the neopets brush challenge work? is it like... we give you a character and you do a new color palette for them?
So on Neopets, paint brush colors genuinely cause the pets to change appearance. Some are straightforward, like red - changes base coat to red, but some of the more "out there" ones like Pirate cause the pet to turn gray and wear pirate clothes.
So like... here's a red kougra and a pirate kougra.
The idea with the prompts is that you take the character and draw them as if they'd been painted with that specific brush.
Most paint brushes have "rules" to their design (predetermined color schemes, common shapes/features, etc - Darigan always has spikes and black accents, while Halloween is Halloween costumes) - but some I'm gonna take creative liberties with, like Mystery Island, since that doesn't really translate to human characters that well. (So for example, if I were to draw Prowl, I'd draw him as if he were on an abandoned island - sun bleached, chipped paint, sand everywhere).
Jellyneo has a great resource for investigating colors here, in case you're curious about any. Give it a look!
Edit: Oh yeah, thank you!!!
