the fact ryan condal keeps hitting with the villain bat anyone who has a problem with rhaenyra and daemon's absolutely destructive behavior is beyond me

he turned corlys and rhaenys into simps who don't give a fuck that rhaenyra and daemon conspired to murder their son & daemon executed corlys's brother in the middle of the throne room for standing up for his family's blood right to driftmark to not pass to bastards who were being passed off as trueborn(a literal crime in westeros)

he removed all of rhaenyra's negative traits and made her out to be this tragic righteous angel who everyone should cheer for no matter what

no one cares about the random person daemon murdered to use as laenor's body double but we get 50 scenes of the serving girl aegon SA'd and she's coming back for season 2 - a character who does not exist in the books

vaemond is portrayed as a greedy and grasping fool instead of a man desperate to keep his family's seat in his family - westeros's world means blood is everything

daemon's crimes of murdering his first wife, grooming his niece/wife, being the westerosi equivalent of a neo nazi(except with valyria, a eugenicist oligarchy built on slavery and slaughter) are all brushed under the rug for "YAS MALEWIFE" (do you honestly think he would allow his wife's bastards to inherit ahead of his kids with her? nope)

meanwhile criston cole has his honor violated by rhaenyra who uses him like a glorified dildo - a sacred vow of the kingsguard that means death or castration for any who break it - and calls her a cunt one time and he's the worst man alive

corlys pimped out his 12 year old daughter to viserys and no one cares, but otto does it with alicent and he's somehow the most evil man alive next to criston cole

I can make an assumption and with that tell you my thoughts on hualian gender identity

I am gender nonconforming

And hualian give me the same gnc gay vibes

Like they feel comfortable in their male forms and pronouns because they don’t give a FUCK about gender stereotypes?

Like being a man doesn’t mean being “masculine” to them, doesn’t mean anything to their identity whatsoever

It is my understanding of them ofc, but that’s one of the reasons i like them so much

In books it was often highlighted that they share both male and female traits

In their appearance and in behaviour

Also by the way

An important part of Dao De Jing is that any human has both masculine and feminine in them and that a person should accept both in themselves

And even that the nature of Dao itself is more feminine

Which is cool because we can see that Xie Lian has more femininity in him

Yet his masculinity exists in harmony alongside that

Same goes to Hua Cheng, even though he looks more “masculine” as in more assertive etc

For him it’s about being a powerful in order to be powerful and not about being “a man”

Because with Xie Lian he

If XL prefered him in a female form, he would take this form with zero hesitation

Also about gender in terms of societal pressure

OOOO i am not a Reyna Girlie but i do think she's super awesome. she's one of those characters who in my head is just like stick figure violence and tv static but who i love very much. like hazel or magnus chase yk. i have so much affection for her but i cannot channel it into anything tragically.

i think she's really cool as a character what with her past with circe and the pirates and her father and such and then joining the legion and rising to praetor (which btw i wanna see more of so fucking bad when do i get roman prequels split between jason and reyna that delve into their pasts and experiences in the legion and the paths they took becoming praetors and their relationship and the shit reyna dealt with while jason was missing for eight months and also an answer to why he spent two months just straight up missing not even with chb or his homies just fucking gone. what was that. where was he. what the hell was reyna doing while he was gone how much fucking work did she have to do how exhausted was she during that time how much did she struggle to get the senate to agree to sending someone to search for him before giving up (if she did give up). when do i get to learn more about them)

she's also one of those characters where i have many headcanons that i switch between at the drop of a hat. like yeah she's ace ik that but is she aroace or alloace and if she's alloace what flavour of allo is she hetero (not my most common one) is she a lesbian is she bi is she unlabelled. transfem or transmasc or nonbinary or cis. she/her or she/they or she/it or it/any neos. loves animals or cannot rock with any creature that is not a dog or horse. insane about reading and art or exhausted of looking at words and pictures. autism creature or family guy death pose type beat. is she a psych type or a math and chem girlie. latin music or metal or only the weirdest shit that nico shows her that she actually likes the sound of (example uhhh bernie sanders speech lofi remixes). is she exploding leo with her mind or is she like besties with him while also exploding him. is she on the verge of tears every two seconds or is she actually okay sometimes. does she get therapy or is she still afraid of it.
