Would you like some celebrity AU in these trying times? Have some nonsense; don't worry about Eli, he's an OC, it's fine.

“Finally tonight, my producers won’t let me end the show without discussing the most compelling story in the nation, a tale of intergenerational drama which begs the question: which speaks to you most? Do you like a redemption arc, recognition coming after decades of struggle? Or a reward for raw, young talent the likes of which has never before been seen? These questions will possibly be answered Sunday night, when the Emmy Awards give a trophy to…a Best Supporting Actor in a Drama.

“On the one hand you have Bruno Madrigal, whose offscreen exploits have overshadowed his work for decades. In recent years, however, he’s become beloved by children as the voice of Hernando the Crab in the animated Shore Thing film series and attracted critical acclaim in indie films such as The Collaboration and onstage in an off-Broadway revival of Endgame. Now he’s nominated for his role as Oscar Ramos, a pedicab driver with a secret in AMC’s thriller Upper West.

“Then there’s his nephew, Camilo Madrigal, who has veered away from the music careers of his mother and sister to follow - cautiously, we hope - in his uncle’s acting footsteps. He has more than a knack for it, given his star turn as nine different characters…or maybe it’s the same one in different phases, who knows what’s happening on Max’s scifi-horror hit Idle Hands? My nephew’s tried to explain it several times, but I’ve given up figuring it out.

“So, where do you fall: Team Camilo, or Team Bruno? Personally I think we as a society should have moved past these hashtag labels a long time ago, but if I were a betting man? I’d say the Madrigals are going to split the voters and we’ll get the winner we deserve, the venerable J.K. Simmons.

“That’s it for me this evening, stay tuned for the latest headlines on ‘Nightbeat’, and I’ll see you back here bright and early Sunday morning for ‘Mas with Guzmán’. Buenos noches.”

The news program theme music played, and Bruno would have continued mindlessly playing Candy Crush on his phone but-

“You know there’s a rumor you slept with that guy.”

Bruno glanced to his right. Eli was slumped the corner of the couch, smirking, light brown hair tousled and hazel eyes glancing his way with a mischievous twinkle. Bruno scowled.

“You don’t- that’s ridiculous. I can’t help it if people think we had chemistry or there were ‘sparks flying’ in that interview or whatever, but it’s all…fanflick?”

Eli laughed and gently kicked his shin, he retaliated by pinching his knee. “Fanfic, boomer.”

“Everybody really does forget about Gen X,” Bruno muttered, then shook his head. “Anyway. The point is I can’t believe people still think Pulitzer prize winning reporter José Guzmán would risk his journalistic integrity by hooking up with me.”

“Depends.” Eli straightened up to lean closer, waggling his eyebrows. “Is ‘journalistic integrity’ what he calls his-”

“Guys! I’m still right here!”

They both cringed and glanced over the back of the sofa towards the kitchen, where Mirabel had taken over the island in a flurry of embroidery floss. She’d swiveled around on the barstool to give them a glare, but a smile still tugged at the corner of her mouth.

“Sorry.”

“Sorry, Mira.”

She nodded, satisfied. “Thank you.” A moment or two slipped by, a perfect pause, before she went on. “But you totally did hook up with him, right?”

Bruno blinked, turned back to the TV, and picked up the remote. “I am changing the channel. It’s a metaphor for changing the subject.”

Shortly after that Mirabel presented him with a baseball cap emblazoned with “#TeamCamilo”, and a black necktie which she’d decorated with symbols representing all of the Madrigal family…and a blue, pink, and white striped heart for Eli. Bruno happily wore both on the Emmys red carpet two nights later.

A/N: he did totally hook up with him. Celebverse!José is basically Anderson Cooper. Yes he does get stuck doing New Year's Eve with Andy Cohen still, it's fine. As for who wins the Emmy, it's been almost two years and I am still not sure.

I know, it's been a hot minute since last Sonic crossover was mentioned... but I went through my drafts and found this! (I think it was a script for a comic or something...) I want to send it for somebody to see! This is based on the Sonic Underground theme song XD

Night sky, thousands of stars. Three more stars lit up, blue, green and yellow.

Madrigal~

A royal chamber. Young woman, Queen Alma Madrigal, lays with her small children. Triplets. Julieta, the eldest, lays in her mother's arm, Pepa, the middle, sits next to her, Bruno, the youngest, looks up at his mother, his hands on her stomach

Triplets born, the throne awaits

A green fog rises up in front of Alma, now wearing a cloak over her clothes, holds her little children, looks scared

A seer warns of a deadly fate!

Alma runs away, looking at one of her babies with tearful, sorrowful look. Then, she leaves a basket on a doorstep of a small house, running away

Give up your children, separate!

Alma looks up, tearing more, before lowering her head.

Bide your time, lie in wait!

The triplets, now teens and reunited, fight the battalion of robots. They rub their medallions and they turn into musical instruments/weapons

Julieta stands with guitar, playing it, before it strikes, destroying robots. She looks confident, smrking

Madrigal Underground

Bruno holds a keyboard in his hands, shooting lasers from it. He's both nervous and anxious, yet determined

Pepa jumps on a drum, starting to drumming, as it charges and ball of energy shoots, destroying her enemies. Her face shows determination, confidence and courage.

They made a vow, their mother will be found!

Two enemies, Mateo and Diego, come to join the battle.

Little Julieta with her foster family. Her foster father is cooking, while she puts some additional ingredients in behind his back, before letting him try. He smiles, petting her head.

Teenage Julieta shoots her guitar to destroy robots, saving people by a food stand, as she rushes in to check up and treat their injuries.

The children grow, learn what's right!

Little Bruno learns how to drive a bike, wearing all protection needed. And, to put it into good use, as he falls two seconds later. Yet another prediction of his came true.

Teenage Bruno drives a motorcycle, to warn people about the coming battalion.

Leaders of the freedom fight!

Alma stands on the cliff, closing her eyes, tear runs down her face

They seek their mother, she knows they do!

Little Pepa drums on walls, her eyes bored, but once the lightning bolt hits, she giggles, throwing the drumsticks up

The drumsticks are caught by a teenage Pepa, who again uses them on her drums, to make earth under her enemies fall, with them

Is it time? If she only knew!

Light comes up and Mateo and Diego are shown next to their boss. Lady Annabelle.

Will the property come true?!

Scene changes to a concert scene, a huge crowd, yelling and cheering. The Madrigal Underground on the scene, playing one of their songs.

Julieta spins around the scene, to her siblings, who smile/smirk at her, pouring their hearts into their performance.

Alma is shown on the cliff, her cape flying in the wind and one her tear flies off her face, as she sings her part.

I long for my children, but I have to wait

Alma is shown over her children's show, her face both filled with sorrow and hope

To act too soon could seal their fate!

The triplets finished their show, but still on the scene, as they high five each other, their medallions lit up bright and the light shoots up into the sky.

They made a vow, their mother will be found!

Same scene as beginning. Space, stars. The three special stars shine brighter than ever before, meaning the union of the Madrigal Triplets

Welcome to my newest AU: Lost but everyone who ever stepped foot on the island has some type of usable magic power from that moment on. Rules for this is every power has a drawback and it only activates at a critical moment to their character arc. Here's what powers I assigned them:

Jack Shephard: Can heal people using his own life force. He can only give up to 50% of his own life force to do this, if the injury can't be healed by that, he can't save a person. Jack's power doesn't activate until way into Season 6 because he didn't have faith in the island.

Kate Austen: Has the same power as Blake Belladonna in RWBY. Both are characters who are established as people on the run because of their past. Their powers reflect that. Whenever Kate is attacked, if she reacts fast enough, she can leave behind a shadow of herself to take the hit for her.

James "Sawyer" Ford: The angrier he gets, the more damage his punches do. On the other hand, if he gets genuinely sad and devastated, his physical abilities are significantly stunted and damage is almost non-existent.

Charlie Pace: Can focus on a person and play or sing a song that reflects their true nature. This can be used to gather information about them. He can only do this once per person.

Claire Littleton: She can sense danger, even when there otherwise isn't any indication of it.

Hugo "Hurley" Reyes: Can speak to the dead. Activates off-island.

Sun-Hwa Kwon: Can accelerate the growth of plants and the natural healing process of animals and people. She has to know and understand the species to do this.

Jin-Soo Kwon: Can communicate with the ocean to go with the "son of a fisherman" theme. If his head is underwater the ocean tries to kill him tho.

John Locke: Is the only one who doesn't have a power. He's like Mirabel Madrigal. He's deeply important to the story but he has 0 magic. He himself and other characters throughout the story think that he does during varying points of time but it's always the MiB messing with him. He realizes this at the end. Can you tell I like angst yet?

Michael Dawson: Can create a magic shield using his own stamina. Shield disappears when his stamina runs out.

Walter "Walt" Lloyd: Astral Projection. Self-explanatory.

Vincent: Ages normally and can die of old age but is otherwise virtually indestructible. Usually animals don't get any powers but Vincent's was given to him by Jacob directly to assist the survivors.

Sayid Jarrah: Can burn a person with his touch when he wants to. Doing this inflicts an equal amount of emotional pain to him as the physical pain he causes. I like angst.

Shannon Rutherford: Can master any skill within 30 minutes if she puts her mind to it. Never figures this out because she has been told that she's useless all her life and believes it. Only uses this once when she translates French but thinks those are lucky guesses.

Boone Carlyle: Blood-bending. Mostly gave this to him because everytime he angrily stares at someone you can tell that his blood is boiling. Never uses this once during his lifetime though.

Rose Henderson Nadler & Bernard Nadler: Have a soul link with one another. They can always tell how the other is feeling and neither of them can die while the other still lives as long as they're on good terms. Virtually indestructible unless you kill them at the exact same time but why the fuck would you.

Ana Lucia Cortez: Pyromancy. Fits her vibe. Also bound to stamina.

Elizabeth "Libby" Smith: Can read people's emotions.

Mr. Eko: Precognition. Can tell what he needs to do when and can anticipate things a couple seconds before they happen.

Benjamin Linus: Everytime he lies (to convince someone of his lie, sarcasm not included), it slightly alters reality in an unexpected way to make his lie appear like the truth. This is how Anthony Cooper gets to the island after Ben tells John about the magic box. The result of his lies is always unexpected and can backfire. He can't make something specific happen intentionally. His power activated during the purge.

Juliet Burke: Ice-bending. This has nothing to do with her character but I've previously seen Elizabeth Mitchell in Once Upon A Time and The Santa Clause and both times she plays a character that has something to do with winter. Also bound to stamina.

Ethan Rom: Superhuman strength. Self-explanatory. It actually takes multiple shots from 6 guns to take him down in this AU.

Harper Stanhope: Can see people's time of death over their head. Was very confused that Juliet's said 1977 and Ben's was way past his normal life expectancy.

Goodwin Stanhope: Idk what his power is but it's certainly not danger sense. 💀

Roger Linus: Can sense fear. Terrible power for a terrible man. I love Ben, I promise. I also love angst tho. The moment Ben killed him was the only time he didn't sense any fear from him, which scared the shit out of him.

Desmond David Hume: Activates his power after the events of "The Constant". Can see glimpses of people's past and future upon touching them. Can only do this once per person.

Frank Lapidus: Always lands safe. Literally always lands on his feet like a cat. Also applies to planes / helicopters he flies.

Charlotte Staples Lewis: Can speak any language after hearing it spoken once. Growing up with this was very confusing off-island.

Miles Straume: Reading the final thoughts of the dead. Self-explanatory.

Daniel Faraday: Stopping time for up to an hour. After using this power, he can't use it for 24 times the amount of time he stopped time for. Only can use it in present time.

Illana Verdansky: Able to tell when people lie.

Danielle Rousseau: Her bullet or arrow always hits the target unless the target specifically blocks it.

Alexandra Rousseau: Can make herself invisible. Used for stealth.

Karl Martin: Can accelerate his speed. Bound to stamina.

Mikhail Bakunin: Telepathy.

Eloise Hawking: Chain Reaction. Once a day for 5 minutes she can see the effects of every action of hers she thinks about.

Charles Widmore: Can take a glimpse at people's destiny. Only can do this once per person.

Richard Alpert: Can't be killed by anything ever. Can't even die of natural causes. Can't die.

Camilo had several crushes in his entire life so he knows what it's like to be attracted to people, but genuinely falling for you? Woaaah, that's a different territory.

The first time he laid his eyes on you I wanna know what love is by foreigner begins playing in the background lmfao

I also think he doesn't have a specific type, he just wants someone who can put up with his shit and vibe with his energy

Mans literally googling shit at 3 am flirting tips, the best places for dates, etc. He puts his effort into impressing you.

Camilo is an absolute flirt, he's got that natural charm. He would say anything from cheesy pick-up lines to compliments that make your heart swoon bruh he's so suave fr ugh

As for courting you, he would try anything to get your eyes to land on him only. He'll sing, do a fucking breakdance, act, something that would have you sighing with hearts in your eyes.

Despite his overflowing confidence, I feel like Camilo won't be the one to confess first lmao. Like, he'll back out in the minute, afraid that you won't feel the same. But when the moment is right, as a random opportunity, he'll blurt out something like "I like you so much" and then says it's an accident before actually confessing.

His shapeshifting goes out of control when he finds out you like him back. He'll be incredibly overjoyed, picking you up and spinning you around.

As for his ideal date, I think he'll be the type to take you to lively and fun places like theme parks, arcade dates, and probably concerts. But if you're not into that he'll just go over to your house and hang out, watch a movie or two. He's not picky and will be satisfied if it's just you and him.

He's not overly into PDA, he does it sometimes to brag to people. He shows affection in many ways, especially in actions. A kiss on the cheek or forehead, a good morning/night text, will ask if you have eaten yet, and just generally looking out for you. He loves to hold your hands and is not afraid to show the world how much he loves you, and he's full of lovely endearments.

Camilo would probably love to call you with a unique nickname (i.e if your name is like Juliana, he'll call you something like Juli, Ana, Iana, Julia, etc.). Let's not forget the common endearments like Mi vida, amor, querida/querido, and more.

He will dramatically collapse to the ground if you call him with a nickname or endearment lmao

Definetly feeds off of your attention, like come on. He loves to distract you and do stupid shit if it means you'll give him your attention.

Camilo is most likely a gift-giver, he likes to give you a lot of things with his own twist. Like he'll buy you your favorite flowers with a hand-written letter attached to them. He's probably the type to know what you really like (i.e clothes, gadgets, items, jewelry, e.tc) and put his effort into saving money and buying it for you as a surprise. He'll take random job offers for money to buy that one thing you love the most.

He would very much insist on buying matching stuff with you. He'll ironically buy those "He/She's mine" t-shirts with arrows lmao. But he'll be more into matching clothing so that you'll wear his, like matching hoodies with the same design but different colors. I feel like he'll like matching rings too hehe.

Okay, I am about to lose it, but I think Camilo would save a recording of you talking or singing and use it as his ringtone like wsdtgvbjmkll, YES.

He's both a listener/talker. He'll listen to you talking for hours and he'll blabber about everything just to make you feel better n' stuff.

Not every relationship would be perfect so you two would argue sometimes. Like he won't sense you're not in the mood for his jokes, you tell him to shut up, he'll roll his eyes and make fun of you for being so grumpy, and then shit just goes downhill

[Angsty] Camilo can be violent if he can't control it, he's not very harsh with words but he can make the tables turn easily (Taylor Swift style lmao). He's not the "silent rage" but "loud fury", he'll really express his distress when in a fight with you. I feel like he would accidentally hurt you, but not dramatically like a slap, he'll just shove you or firmly grab you by the arm.

He'll be the first to leave after a fight and the first to apologize, after some time alone of course. He'll seek you, it doesn't matter where you are, to say sorry with a gift or a simple kiss and hug. If you're still mad, he'll understand and give you some space but will occasionally check on you from time to time.

When things are on good terms, he'll be all happy and giddy again, he'll maybe take you out on a date or have a special moment alone together to make it up to you.

Camilo loves to pull tiny pranks on you and film it so he'll have something to make fun of you later. He'll definetly do those TikTok pranks but will stop if things get too annoying or too much for you.

Camilo is thoughtful, sentimental, and a bit of a jealous type. If he sees you talking to someone else, he'll secretly glare at them and flip them off behind your back but when you would turn to look at him he'll be smiling like an innocent angel lmao.

He's also sweet, understanding, and responsible. Surely, he can act immature and be a joker in many instances but he's a very smart guy, it'll be hard for someone to trick him. If there's a problem you're going through he's great at giving you advice. He's good at switching roles like bro he can be a fucking malewife or a mafia boss (???) at the same time lmao, mans is very versatile.

Camilo is an absolute daytime/dawn type of person. He likes to sunbathe sometimes and would take you to picnics and watch the clouds in the sky. He'll maybe ask you out on a hike or camping trip together. He'll love the idea of road trips or anything adventurous.

He likes getting to know your business, he's nosy lmao. He'll come to you for drama like "I heard you had beef with [Friend's Name], is it true?" and if you lay the details on him he'll take your secrets to the grave. He loves to gossip with you.

HE LOVES SLOW DANCING TO OLDIES THAT HIS PARENTS WOULD PLAY!!11!! Please I am so weak for that idea that he'll randomly pull you into a slow dance, hand to hand, cheek to cheek with the 80s or 90s kind of music playing in the background as if it's the end of the world. He's a great dancer too huhuhuhu

I feel like he has a secret talent for playing the drums, you'll catch him sometimes practicing in his drum set and he'll teach you sometimes (i.e he'll give you the drumsticks and sit behind you while he guides you how to hit the drums). He's intense and hot while playing the drums bro I'm about to faaaaaaint.

Absolutely and definetly a dramatic person, both ironically or not. He just has the most telenovela type of reactions to everything. If you say something like "I don't like you anymore" (jokingly) he'll drop to his knees and start speaking in Spanish, begging you to not leave him lmao.

He would love to grow his hair out and let you style it. He'll let you groom, braid, brush, and just style his hair. He likes going on spas with you and getting some of those relaxing facials and foot spas, manicures, and shit. He loves being fresh asf.

He'll send you random shit from the internet, funny videos, memes, and interesting stuff. He loves to send you selfies of his amazing outfits every day and ask stupid shit like "do these pants make my ass look fat?" lmfao. generally, he'll send you a pic of anything he's doing atm, he's shameless in sending intentionally ugly selfies and videos of him strutting in his best clothes bc he's a fashion star.

He's obsessed with sending you food that he personally made with the help of his tía Julieta

I feel like he loves to show off by getting into your hobbies, he also likes to be involved with your interests. If you're a performer, he'll go to every show/contest/event. He's a 100% supporter you can't change my mind.

As soon as you and he became official, the first person he ever told it to was Mirabel (I hc they're besties). And then the next day the news would spread and The Madrigals would know and beg for him to invite you over for dinner, he happily obliged.

Camilo is a flustered mess when he invited you to have dinner with his family, he turns from suave into a shy teenage boy lmao. His parents would see, especially Pepa, his loving gaze on you and they would go crazy. Pepa forms a raincloud and cries over how her mijo has finally become a man. His cousins and siblings would make fun of him for being so shy around you. Yeah, his family adores you.

Of course, you invite him over too so your family would get to know him. Immediately, your family would like him. He's such a show-off, he'll politely greet your mother and compliment her and tell your father how cool he is. You'll roll your eyes because it seems like your family likes Camilo over you. But yeah, your family would love to have your boyfriend over for every dinner.

His first kiss with you I feel like would be accidental, like a quick peck on the lips and his pupils dilate. He'll ask if he can properly kiss you, if you say yes he'll be incredibly tender and gentle. He's a fantastic kisser, he's got your spine tingling and your heart-stopping.

He'll take any chance he gets to pull you in for a kiss. He loves to kiss you on your forehead, temple, and the back of your hand. He loves to nuzzle his forehead with yours too hehe.

Camilo is really determined to marry you someday and throw the best wedding ever the world has ever since, Disney princess-style. He'll find the prettiest ring out there and plan a very emotional proposal.

IT’S ME‼️‼️ AGAIN 😨

Yeah I. Have been thinking about this AU for a MINUTE and really wanna draw for it, so any snippets or lore? Angst bruhaps 🗿

(Angst, Oh Boy, Lets just see how a certain event played out)

Bruno hummed softly as he was getting ready for Mirabel's ceremony. It was such a joyous occasion, a child getting their monster assigned to them, so much so it always led to a giant party in the village. But since the child was a Madrigal it meant an even bigger celebration. He smiled softly as he grabbed his hooded poncho, as well as his thin blindfold. Everyone was cautious enough to not always look at him, so he didn't worry much about his eyes, but he can never be too careful despite everyone telling him he was just paranoid.

Bruno smiled as he heard the music began to play as he stepped out and into the crowded area of the castle, slipping slowly past the guests as he went to stand with his family. Everyone was dressed up, wearing their fanciest clothes, each pertaining to the theme, that being the ocean. He hummed as he stepped next to his mothers floating form, as he smiled "such a joyous day today eh mamà?" As Alma smiled "Indeed Bruno, little Mirabel will finally get her monster form" she said quietly.

Soon, Mirabel was being led to the candle by her mother Julieta, whose firey feathers were burning extra bright out of joy, and her father agustin, who was quite literally falling apart as he tried to hold in his tears of joy. Mirabel was shaking with excitement as she saw the sun slowly setting, it was finally her turn. She knew her monster had to do with water, the wave like birthmark on her hand proved as such, but there were so many sea creatures she didn't know what she would become.

Soon, as the sun finally set, the flame of the candle began to burn green as the smoke began to swirl around. Mirabel giggled as it slowly circled around her as she began to feel herself change slightly. Sje felt her hands and feet gain small webbing between the fingers and toes, and gills forming on her neck, as well as some fins on her head and arms. Everyone began to cheer loudly as they began to dance in joy. Bruno smiled before yelping in fear as someone bumped into him freezing as his blindfold fell off. Time began to freeze, as did everyone else, as the loose fabric fell to the ground, just as Mirabel went to look at her family, freezing as all she saw was red glowing eyes, before everything went dark.

Everyone began to panic as they saw Mirabel pass out, as Julieta went to grab her. The people began to leave the castle, as Bruno began to whimper his tail falling down as he covered his eyes. He could hear his inner voices screaming that he had ruined everything, as he ran off to his room ignoring the cries from his family.

By the time the sun rose on the next day, Mirabel was awake if only sick to her stomach, both literally and figuratively. Since the party, Bruno hasn't been seen, and his room was empty. All that was left behind was his simple green blindfold and poncho.

E7! The penultimate! Keyes-Halsey family drama! Major change on the S-II’s origins! Or not! Who knows with this show!

The good:

Ackerson OWNED Parangosky and it was SO SATISFYING. I really loved Ackerson in this episode, realizing he was getting played and then proverbially spiking Parangosky. It’s what I wanted all season.

Miranda and Halsey’s reluctant mother-daughter team-up. Still living in a parallel universe where Jacob lived and got to see it. Miranda’s “Mom! Please!” while the hard light bridge is disintegrating? GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT.

Great look into the Forerunners, and possibly the Flood, and some deeper lore without infodumping. More on this in the last section.

John and Makee on the Halo is ALMOST EXACTLY how I imagined a conversation between them in my headcanon that Makee went Halo 5 Cortana. “What if there are no sides, let’s build a perfect world together.” I think it’s going to be a continuing theme.

Jury is out on if Makee can control the Halo and her feelings for John are all that’s saving the galaxy, though.

The bad:

I really did not like how this episode handled Soren. I get what they were trying to do, Soren thinking Kessler needs his coming-of-age moment, but it was clumsy at best.

The Kessler storyline is getting old. Laera had him and then…what? Where is he? Where’s she?

Kwan’s story is also unnecessarily klutzy. They were taking her in a good direction at the end of S1, and now they once again don’t know what to do with her after Madrigal got glassed. Why did they do that anyway?

These Spartan-IIIs seem awfully half-baked. Ackerson calls them “his life’s work” but they haven’t been around long enough to be his life’s work. Sending them into combat presumably unaugmented? And why did they take Kessler and other kids if they can make Spartans out of adults? Logical answer is they’re still making IIs, but then why make the IIIs?

Observations/predictions/questions:

Did we see the Flood in those cracked vials? Did they get released? ARE MIRANDA AND HALSEY AND KWAN INFECTED????

Halsey says she found Forerunner/human DNA, at least I’m assuming it was Forerunners, and picked the Spartans because they had similar DNA? Why? Were the Spartans not originally created to fight the insurrection in the TV world? Or they were and Halsey also saw the Covenant coming down the line? And for all that DNA hunting John is the only Blessed One? I’m confused and curious.

Kessler seemed pretty unaffected when Soren and Laera showed up. Did his memories already get erased? Or did they stick a pellet in his spine already?

I’m VERY intrigued about where the show takes Var, otherwise known as Not Thel ‘Vadam, and Makee.

Does Kai survive the season? John’s speech about “if it comes down to you and you have the spike in your hand” sounds a little like how Kurt went out. And she’s basically in Kurt’s role. Though the previews do at least show her in her Mjolnir.

How will John get Cortana back? Cause he has to get her back. Is he going to turn back to Kai and company? He went back for Kai in S1 on Eridanus. He could do it again.

However it goes down I think the finale is going to be a packed hour.

Hello! I’m Demon, 23, and I live in the EST zone. This ad will be short and sweet, as it’s really more of an interest check and a dragnet for writing partners rather than a thought-out and fleshed-out plot(I am hoping to share the building of that with you). I’m going to list a short number of requirements/preferences right now:

you must be 21 or older to roleplay with me.

I prefer a 3rd person/past-tense format. I write comfortable between 3-7 paragraphs but can often do more, if my partner matches or comes close to the length of whatever I write. Visa versa, I tend to match my partner’s length per post. My starters always tend to run long, however.

I love a mix of wholesomeness and angst. I am open to and very comfortable with various dark themes, as well as smut/ERP as long as it doesn’t dominate the story. You should know that my characters are submissive types, regardless of how meek or fiery their personality is. Further details can be discussed privately.

I play male/non-binary/non-hetero-normative characters and I also prefer MxM pairings. Very rarely, I will play an AFAB character, but don’t count on it.

I roleplay mainly on Discord, but can be flexible for various platforms.

Now, onto my list of pairings, these can work with original characters.

x our characters are merfolk/sirens x I play a merfolk OC against your pirate OC(historical fantasy plot, think Pirates of the Caribbean) x One of us plays a merfolk against a scientific researcher/journalist/wildlife photographer/cryptid hunter.

I'm gonna list the ones that come to me off the top of one's head! Some I've probably already mentioned, but this way we have a written reference for the future xD

Adrien and Kagami: as I mentioned already, I'd love to throw Félix at your Miraculous muses, Adrien first and foremost, but Kagami too. I have a specific theme that I'd love to write with Félix and Adrien, but I'd firstly need to know if you've seen the latest season of the show, because I don't want to accidentally spoiler stuff. As for Kagami, I'm utterly unsatisfied with the lack of building of their relationship in canon, so I'd like to actually build their friendship.

Stitch: Mabel, of course! We have already talked about how these two could interact and I think there's so much potential for all kinds of shenanigans. I'm actually looking forward to having these two meeting xD

Hiro: since we're talking sci-fi (or well futuristic tech), my Rick and Morty muses would be the easiest to use with Hiro! He and Morty would easily be friends, or if we ever wanted to write a mentor/mentee kind of relationship, a couple of my Ricks would work real well. Also, space adventures!

Mirabel and/or Isabel: Tbh I think that Mabel could be a great friend for both Madrigal sisters. She and Mirabel are quite similar, personality-wise and Mabel would support Isabel's search for new experiences and independence. She'd drag her in tons of shenanigans, you can bet on that!

Danny: I've written a Danny Phantom/Rick and Morty crossover once, and the core ideas were pretty cool! Danny and Morty would definitely get along, and bond over their families being the weirdest of the town xD And Rick would definitely be interested in "studying" Danny's physiology, which could potentially also lead to him helping Danny explore his powers and develop them, instead of having the poor kid figuring everything out on his own by getting his butt kicked xD Also Summer could definitely play the part of the meaner older sister (and I bet Danny would end up missing Jazz's fussing after dealing with her xD)

Turtles: Last but not least, TMNT/Rick and Morty crossover, that could potentially be tied to the verse I'm developing with technodromes. Shared verses can be a lot of fun :3

I remember seeing something in your tags where you said you had a few ideas for episodes for the Encanto series. Do you mind sharing them with me? if you want of course. (I've already written the basic premise for seasons 1-4 but I'm happy to hear any ideas you got)

ooh of course! these are just some brainstormed thoughts nothing substantial but

- mirabel gets her new room (because we didn’t see it in the movie)

- julieta cooking with her daughters as a bonding exercise

- bruno goes out into the town with his sisters and they talk to the townspeople about everything

- mirabels having nightmares/flashbacks of casita falling on her and starts thinking there’s cracks everywhere

- antonio and Dolores doing literally anything I love them

- alma falls back into old habits but the family’s there to steer her in the right direction

- luisa gets a fun part in her room! (Based on the concept art)

- the husbands + bruno have a boys night out !

- isa and Dolores have a heart to heart when they plan to spend the day together

- camilo and Bruno put on a play for the whole community and the whole family helps!

- pepa brings bruno around to try new things since he’s missed so much

- madrigal grandkids have a sleepover

- triplets flashback to when they first get their gifts and it’s the first week of absolute CHAOS in the encanto

- day of little candles themed ep where alma and the family go to the river and alma tells them all about pedro (maybe a flashback to life before dos oruguitas)

- isabela adjusting to her new identity and the villagers still subconsciously think of her as her “perfect” version

- someones birthday and the family throw the best party ever

- mirabel and bruno reflect on what’s changed and how the future can be scary

- this one’s entirely self indulgent but mirabel goes to the local seamstress to get advice and ends up being taken on board as an assistant

- camilo and Marco get all the town kids to partake in the ultimate encanto football match

- luisa having a day off where the family do everything for her (she deserves it)

- christmas ep because why not!

- flashback to grandkids as younger for some preteen Dolores and isa moments

- antonio starts school and is super nervous and struggles a bit but he has his family for support

- mirabel not being used to having attention on her all the time and feeling like she has to live up to new expectations because she’s “the miracle” (this isn’t her being a leader or anything this is literally just her brain assuming they expect stuff from her)

- triplets bday!! (Can be from any time)

- mirabel and Antonio have a picnic

- Dolores and Mariano get a date set up for them by camilo

- madrigal sisters talk about their feelings from when mirabel went missing

- agustin and julieta have an anniversary coming up so agustin wants to make it the most special ever (shenanigans insue)

- pepa and felix go out for the night and pepa is insanely talented on the dance floor

- all the parents go away and Bruno is left to babysit

- isabela wants to make some friends after not having many due to her wanting to keep up appearances

- Dolores wants a new outfit and goes to mirabel for help

- luisa stands up to the donkey man

- julieta and alma moments

Encanto Day 30 - Milk

OK so context: my friend Breanna loves three things: milk, Encanto and The Sandman. So I decided to write a behemoth of a crossover.

This is both a modern au of Encanto and a sequel to this story I wrote back in the summer.

“So… we meet again.” Bruno stares at the bottom of his suitcase, his expression weary. It has been sixteen years. Sixteen years of non-cow-costume-wearing bliss. And yet, here he is, pulling out the outfit once more, like a retired clown applying his makeup.

It’s not that Bruno doesn't enjoy dressing up and playing pretend, hey, his real Gift is acting! It’s this costume in particular he doesn’t enjoy.

At least he won’t suffer alone this time.

In the dining area of the hotel, Pepa has gathered her children and nieces to watch the infamous video of Brumilkerbell, the Fairy Cow Princess. Every single one of them is in hysterics as they watch Bruno stumble in his little heels, ball gown flouncing around him. Bruno rolls his eyes.

“I’m glad you sadists are finding pleasure in my pain,” he says loudly as he joins them at their table.

“Turn the clip off, I can't breathe!” Mirabel gasps between wheezes.

“It’s even better than I remember!” Isabela howls.

“Mom, why didn’t you give birth to me sooner? I wish I had been in the area when this happened!” Camilo snorts.

“Honestly, Milo, I’m surprised I didn’t give birth right then and there, I was laughing so hard,” Pepa admits, wiping the tears from her eyes.

“Funny,” Bruno snaps. He dumps the costume on the table. “Here it is, kids: the worst out-of-context vision I ever had.”

His sobrinos immediately crowd around the table, marvelling and snickering at Brumilkerbell’s get-up.

“It’s even bigger than I remember,” Dolores remarks.

“There’s the seven foot frame you wanted, Camilo,” Mirabel says.

Camilo is laughing too hard to respond.

“So why are we doing this again?” Agustín asks.

“Because my friend in the online writing club I’m in needs some help, and I’m the only person in the whole group who can supply her with what she needs,” Bruno explains. “Her ex-boyfriend’s niece’s friend’s son is having his fourth birthday party and apparently this year he wants it cow themed.”

“That’s a lot of different acquaintances,” Julieta remarks.

“That’s just how her friend group works,” Bruno says. “Her ‘found family’ has gotten pretty big since she last checked.”

Alma checks her pocket watch. “It’s 12 pm, we should get going. Boys, do you have your…?”

Agustín and Félix hold up their own cow costumes, one a police officer and the other a construction worker. Bruno smiles gratefully at the two. As stated previously, at least he won’t suffer alone this time.

A man with long brown hair is waiting for them outside the New Inn. He waves happily when he sees Bruno carrying the bags of costumes.

“Hi! You must be Bruno! I’m Hob Gadling, I’m a friend of Calliope’s.” Hob’s bright smile and sweet voice win the Madrigals over easily. When Bruno shakes his hand, he is surprised by Hob’s firm yet gentle hold.

“Your hands are warm,” Bruno notes. He winces at his own rudeness. Hob laughs.

“You’re the first to ever say that about my hands,” he says. “I assume that’s a compliment?”

Bruno nods, face red. “Yeah.”

“Calliope and Murphy are waiting inside with the birthday crew. Thankfully, only a few kids are coming so you won’t be overwhelmed!” Hob continues as he leads the family inside. He suddenly notices how many Madrigals there are.

“Uh… are they all coming in?” he asks.

Bruno glances at his family and turns back to Hob, smiling. “Is that ok with you? They, uh, want to see the performance.”

“That good of an entertainer, huh?” Hob says. “Alright, I guess Lyta won’t mind. She’s the mother of the birthday boy.”

Hob takes the Madrigals through the inn and into a big room with a small stage, where the party has already begun. A group of seven kids do arts and crafts at a long table, while the adults mingle.

True to Bruno’s words, the entire room looks like a cow’s hide. White balloons with black spots and black balloons with white spots are hung up in every corner. The table cloths and streamers have a similar pattern. A large banner reading “Happy 4th Birthday Daniel!” is hung up by the small stage, two cartoon cows drawn on either side. Even the cake is shaped like a cow.

A woman with lovely chestnut hair approaches Hob as the group enters. Clinging to her leg is a small boy with blond hair.

“Hob!” The woman’s smile fades when she notices everyone. “Who are they and why are they all here? They weren’t on the guest list!”

“It’s ok, Lyta, they’re with me!” another woman says, running up to him. Bruno recognizes her Greek accent immediately. “Hello, Bruno. It’s nice to meet you at last.”

Upon seeing her warm smile and lovely dark hair, Bruno relaxes. “Hola, Calliope. It’s nice to meet you in the flesh as well.”

“This is Lyta Hall, she’s running the party. And this is Daniel, our birthday boy,” Hob introduces. While Lyta waves, Daniel ducks his head.

“Lyta, this is Bruno, he’s from my online writing club!” Calliope says. “He’s the one with the crazy ‘cow’ getup I was talking about.”

“Can I see?” Lyta asks.

Bruno opens his suitcase. “Behold.”

Lyta’s eyes turn as big as saucers. “You weren’t kidding…”

“It’s going to be quite the experience,” Bruno laughs. “Agustín and Félix are dancing with me as well.” The men in question wave.

“And so are me and Dream!” Hob says. “Do you have our costumes?”

Bruno lifts up his own to show two packages underneath. Hob snorts when he sees them. “These look incredible! Dream, you have to come see this!” He turns to the corner of the room, where a man Bruno did not see before stands.

The partygoers have given him a large space to himself, wary of the stranger. The man is shrouded in the shadows, his body hidden in a black coat. His emotionless face is pale and cold and his black hair is untamed. The oddest part about him is his eyes. A strange shade of blue that seems to shine like… stars. Bruno feels a sense of familiarity. Who is this man?

As Dream slowly approaches him, Bruno shrinks under his magnificently intimidating gaze. Dream glances down at the costumes before looking up at the prophet. Immediately his expression softens. It is a look of wonder.

Bruno ducks to hide his terrified gaze. “Right. Is there a room where we can set up?” he asks, willing his voice not to shake.

“There’s an empty space across the hall, we can get ready there!” Hob says. “Come on!”

In the other room, Bruno hands each man his costume. Agustín struggles to get the police boots on his “hooves”, Félix slips on the construction worker cow’s safety vest.

Hob is practically jumping with joy when he sees the cowboy, er, cow’s outfit. He laughs as he puts on the vest and fixes his sheriff’s badge. “I’ve seen a lot of things in my life, but this has to be one of the greatest..”

“You’ll be the Aviator, Dream,” Bruno says, handing the strange man his costume.

“‘Aviator’?” Dream asks. His surprisingly deep baritone voice rumbles through the room. Bruno feels chills run down his back.

“Because Calliope said you didn’t want to be seen doing this, so I found a costume that could hide your face?” Bruno squeaks. “The goggles should be enough, right?”

Dream takes the costume and looks it through. “Very well.”

“Why are you doing this if you don’t want to be seen?” Félix asks. “This isn’t exactly a… subtle activity.”

“Because I have a duty to fulfill,” Dream answers simply. Félix shrugs and goes back to trying to cram the hard hat on his cow’s head.

Bruno . “Alright, we have an hour to rehearse this song. I assume you all know ‘YMCA’, right?”

“Yeah, why?” Hob asks.

Bruno hands them all sheet music. “I, uh, took some creative liberties with it.”

Back in the party room, the rest of the Madrigals have already assimilated themselves into the crowd. Isabela shows off her plant magic to some of the children, Antonio colours with Daniel while telling him all sorts of cow facts (only half of which the four-year-old understands), Lyta has gotten some wine with the mothers, who shower her and Dolores with advice on how to raise a kid.

Meanwhile, Luisa, Mirabel and Camilo find new friends in two special guests, the niece and nephew of Dream.

“Rainbow hair…” Mirabel breathes, gazing in awe at Rose Walker’s dreadlocks. Rose giggles.

“Oh yeah! I’ve thought about changing it up recently, but honestly, rainbow hair is so fun!” she admits.

Mirabel turns back to her mom, pointing at Rose’s hair and back at her own. Julieta shakes her head. Mirabel pouts.

“Worth a shot,” she mumbles. Rose laughs.

Luisa watches Rose with stars in her eyes, the bookworm excited to meet a real, published author in the flesh. “How long did it take you to write your manuscript?”

“About two months, actually. I got a surge of inspiration during the last week and finished it in time to send to a publisher looking for new works,” Rose explains. “Next thing I know, I’ve got a huge paycheck and several book reviewers telling me I’m the new Neil Gaiman.”

“Fantástica!” Luisa squeals.

“Do Spiderman next!” Jed Walker exclaims. Camilo shapeshifts into the superhero, doing a backflip.

“Don’t work the kid too hard, Jed!” Rose warns.

“I won’t!” Jed responds.

“Don’t worry, I can do this all day!” Camilo says, shapeshifting into Captain America. Jed howls with laughter.

“He says that but then he’ll sleep until noon tomorrow,” Mirabel says. Rose laughs again, but it fades as she notices something strange walking onto the stage.

“What on earth is that?” she asks. Mirabel turns around and immediately begins laughing.

Camilo shapeshifts back into himself and drags Jed closer to the stage. “Oh, you’re gonna want front-row seats for this!”

Daniel is led to the front of the audience. The kids gather around him, laughing at the funny cows. In the back, Pepa and Julieta are already shrieking with laughter, taking pictures of the costumed men on their phones.

Bruno stands centre stage in his fairy cow princess, looking as marvelous as ever with the sparkling pink gown, wings and tiara. Behind him stand a police officer, a construction worker, a cowboy and an aviator, all cows. Mirabel recognizes her father and Tío Félix as the police officer and construction worker respectfully, but are those Hob and Dream, Hob’s mysterious boyfriend, as the cowboy and the aviator? Even with aviator goggles covering his eyes, Dream’s sharp, white cheekbones are quite memorable and noticeable. Not to mention, she can’t see him anywhere in the room, so…

On stage, Hob keeps glancing at Dream. While this would usually flatter the Endless, right now it’s getting on his last nerve.

“Why do you keep looking at me?” Dream finally hisses.

“You look constipated, and I don’t want you to take it out on Bruno,” Hob whispers.

“I’m not going to send a nightmare after him. You don’t have to worry,” Dream says. “I’m just not looking forward to this.”

“You don’t have to do this, Dream,” Hob reminds him. “I asked several times if you wanted to back out, and every time, you’ve refused. Why?”

“Because it is my duty to visit the first baby born in the Dreaming every year on his birthday,” Dream states. “And even if that includes doing a ridiculous dance at his birthday party, so be it.”

Hob rolls his eyes. “That last part is a load of bull and you know it. Are you sure that’s why you’re doing it?”

Dream is silent.

Hob gives him a knowing smile. “You’ve grown to care for Daniel Hall and his crazy family, haven’t you? Is this about making the kid, and by extension, your new family, happy?”

Dream shrinks further into the giant cow head. Hob leans over to kiss his nose.

“Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me.”

Bruno grabs a microphone from an amused Isabela. “Hi kids! I’m Brumilkerbell, the Fairy Cow Princess of… Milkneyland, and these are my friends, the Village Cows!”

“Why do you have a beard?!” a kid in the audience yells.

“Why don’t you have a beard?!” Bruno snaps back. He takes a deep breath and smiles once more. “Today, we’re going to sing a special song all about your favourite drink! Can anyone guess what that is?”

“Wine!” Pepa yells.

“Pepa, there are kids in the audience, including your own.”

“So?!”

“So we’re going to be learning facts about an altogether different drink,” Bruno exclaims through teeth clenched. “I would like to thank Antonio Madrigal for helping me write some of the lyrics. Hit it!”

Dolores turns on the boombox. Brumilkerbell and the Village Cows begin tapping their hooves.

“Is it just me or is the tune familiar?” Julieta asks as she records.

“I’m pretty sure this is just YMCA,” Pepa says. “Did he change the lyrics?”

The cows swing their tails to the beat as the chorus kicks in.

It’s fun to drink a lot of M! I! L! K! It’s fun to drink a lot of M! I! L! K!

“Ohhhh…” the sisters say in unison.

The kids cheer for the exuberant performance, getting up and doing the dance with them. Most of the adults are laughing too hard to join, or film the performance. Daniel screams with glee as the cows swish their tails and pump their hooves in the air in an elaborate dance.

After the performance, the men sit at a table while Daniel opens his presents. Bruno has already fallen asleep, Agustín and Félix engage in a game of chinchon. Dream watches the sleeping Bruno from the side.

Hob arrives with drinks. Unlike the others, he has not taken off his cowboy cow costume. The fathers cheer until they see what’s in the wine glasses: milk.

“Oh come on, why the long faces?” Hob teases. “You heard Brumilkerbell up there, milk is chock full of vitamin B12!”

The Madrigal men glance at each other before shrugging and grabbing a glass. Félix grabs an extra for when Bruno wakes up. Hob moves onto Dream.

“What are you thinking about?” Hob asks, handing the Sandman his milk.

“That family has magic,” Dream says. “That’s why they feel so different.”

Hob raises an eyebrow. “Magic? You’re only figuring this out now?”

“You knew?”

“I mean, Bruno Madrigal is a lyrical genius! How could I not know about his music-writing magic?!”

Dream gives his boyfriend a small smile. “Not that kind of magic, Hob. Real magic. Each of them has a small portion of magic, dedicated to one type of spell. They call them Gifts.”

Hob looks amazed. “Really? How did I not notice that?”

“I don’t think they trust us enough to show us,” Dream admits. “I’m surprised they’ve been able to hide it for so long.”

“Should we tell them we know? Does Calliope know?”

“Let’s not tell them, for now. Calliope has had her suspicions since she met Bruno. She asked me to confirm today, and Lucienne has just sent me the report.”

“Your librarian rules.”

“I know. I shall send her your compliments.”

“Why are you telling me all of this?”

“You asked.”

“Smartass.”

As the kids sleep upstairs in the inn, the grownups decide to have a little more wine to wind down for the night.

“I can’t believe my youngest son actually helped Bruno write that song,” Pepa says.

“Well, it wasn’t easy,” Bruno says. “It took the better part of a week and half a dozen Google searches.”

“How were you not sweating bullets up there? I was getting hot just looking at you,” Julieta says.

“Oh believe me, I was getting hot,” Agustín says. “You weren’t kidding, hermano, these costumes are stuffy as hell!”

“Luckily for you, this is where the fun part comes in,” Hob says, standing up. “Dolores, ma’am, where’s your boombox?!”

Mirabel stumbles downstairs, her throat parched and stomach rumbling. She should not have had that much cake. Her head pricks up slightly as she hears music and shrieking from down the hall. Curious, she walks down to investigate.

When she peers into the room, the sight is enough to wake her up. Bruno, Agustín, Félix and Hob all managed to get the clothes off the cow jumpsuits, and are currently in the middle of slowly taking off the jumpsuits themselves. Dios mio, she can see their hairy chests.

The women, her abuela included, whoop and whistle at the strippers, all clearly tipsy.

Dolores, hearing her cousin gasping in horror, pauses the music. All heads turn to the 16-year-old gaping in the doorway.

Bruno is the first to find his words. “Hey, Mariposa! What do you need?”

“I was considering getting a glass of milk, but I think I’ll hold off until I can get this image out of my mind. Buenas noches.” Mirabel awkwardly exits, wondering how this day went from YMCA parodies to strip-teasing cows.

The Magical Group AU has once again taken over my brain, so I decided to give everyone magical girl/boy names, these names were all given to them by the townspeople

Isabella: Guardiana de la Selva- Jungle Guardian. At first, she was actually called Guardiana de la Flor, Flower Guardian, but once she started experimenting with her powers in battle, people quickly realized she could do a lot more than flowers and was a LOT more powerful than they first thought, I like to imagine Isabella is the secret powerhouse of the team, so she was renamed, she got her new name after they fought a particularly strong enemy and she ended up defeating it by growing massive jungle trees all around it to form a cage

Dolores: Guardiana de la Melodía- Melody Guardian. Dolores got her name from the sound her weapon makes, I imagine as her boomerang flies through the air, it makes a high-pitched sound akin to a whistle, the different ways she throws her boomerang makes the sound a different pitch, so when she's fighting it almost sounds like she's playing a song, the sound also doesn't hurt the ears of any bystanders, but it does hurt the ears of the enemies they face

Luisa: Guardiana de la Fortaleza- Strength Guardian. Her name comes from not only her physical strength, but also her ability to buff the other's abilities, the townspeople see it as her lending her strength to her teammates, being the support or "strength" of the team

Camilo: Guardián de la Espejismo- Mirage Guardian. His ability to disorient and confuse is interpreted as illusions and mirages by the townspeople, so his name is fairly obvious, they also considered calling him Guardián de la Embaucador, Trickster Guardian, but due to the negative connotation of the term trickster, mirage is what ended up sticking

Mirabel: Guardiana de la Mariposa- Butterfly Guardian. Another obvious one, her outfit has butterfly imagery, though Guardiana de la Curación, Healing Guardian, was also considered, butterfly ended up sticking due to the golden butterfly being the symbol of the Miracle, and Mirabel, with her purifying power, is considered the leader of the Miracle Guardians by the townspeople, weather or not she actually assumes that role in the team dynamic remains to be seen

Antonio:Guardián de la Salvaje- Wild Guardian. Antonio got this name not only due to his ability to summon animals, but also due to his somewhat wild, fun loving, and rambunctious nature, when you're a three year old with magic powers that fight monsters alongside your siblings and cousins, you tend to be a little overzealous,

Some of the townspeople actually theorize Isabella and Antonio are siblings due to their similar nature-themed powers, though that is only one of many theories the town has about the potential relations of the group, some theorize they are cousins of the Madrigals, and others theorize they are beings made entirely from the miracle, the favorite theory among the townspeople is that they are six siblings who fled to the Encanto together after a group of raiders, similar to the ones who attacked Alma's old home, killed their family, the miracle provided entrance to the scared children and offered them their powers so they may keep each other safe from harm and now use their powers to protect the Encanto as a thank you for saving them (somehow no one has come up with the idea that the group might actually be the grandkids themselves, either by magic or ignorance)

I. Love all the names <333 I do agree with Isabela being the powerhouse; while Luisa is essentially the backbone, Isabela can charge and take head on enemies, kinda doing knock bacK?? AND YES. Dolores weapon pretty much works like that <33 basically the more force she puts behind it, the more she alters the sound barrier (when in super forms, she can break the sound barrier). Luisa def makes sense. I mean duh. But yeah, she’s kinda like Mercy 😭

Camilo, I’m glad the villagers went with mirage, I think that’s so rad. Camilo likes it at least 🤧 Mirabel, she does step into the leader position, but only after a major battle where she was the only one with a plan and was able to pull of the max purification (with the others help obvi). Antonio, yeah, that one makes sense. Lil bro is much more open when he’s fighting with the others 🤞🏾

First time they transformed they were so confused. And then they had to fight. Luisa learned she could buff from a distance, and since Antonio couldn’t summon a weapon yet, she took it upon herself to watch him and make sure he didn’t get bodied 🚴‍♀️💨

I spent too much on this. Like an embarrassing amount of time. And it didn’t even turn out how I wanted 💀

Towns people having theories is so fun. I love that idea <333 Like. They just don’t connect the dots 💀 they don’t realize mostly out of ignorance, but the more they know about the Madrigals, the more magic is placed on them. Like the other Madrigals themselves? 100% don’t know their identities because of magic. Without it, they would have most definitely realized 😭

Out of any of the theories, I would say the most popular is the favorite one of them being fro:Alma’s home town and they protecting the Encanto. People have definitely tried to ask them about it, but they were never successful. So in came the rumors and theories. Another question that gets a lot of talk is where in the world do they come from when they fight, and where do they go when they’re done. Cause no one has seen them.

I was at Funny the fun house with my boyfriend Hunter and my friends Luz, Amity, Gus and Willow I was wearing this

Hi, Funny. Knock-knock!!!! I said Hmm, let me think. Who could that be knocking??? Is it Zion??? Funny said Zion who??? I asked him Zion you!!!!!! Zion Madrigal!!!!!!! Funny exclaimed and laughs I laughed too That's right, Funny. I said then we all heard ringing Whoa, that sounds like the fun house phone!!!!!! Funny exclaimed then his door opened the fun house phone bounced out the door bounced over Hunter's head and I caught the phone Got it!!!!!! I exclaimed after I hung up I looked at everyone That was King Ludwig. There's trouble in Majestica and he wants to see us right way. I said Come on, gang, King Ludwig needs us!!!!!!! Luz exclaimed then we all ran into the fun house Let's hurry!!!!!!! Hunter exclaimed Come on!!!!!!!!! Amity exclaimed Follow me, Zion!!!!!! and we ran up to King Ludwig's castle and we went inside with King Ludwig we had to find out why the troll named trolland was so upset he said we had to follow our nose to the bridge that the troll lived under I said we should try to talk to him Go away!!!!!!! The troll exclaimed Uh,yeah. This troll is "Eda cranky". Luz said You said it. Amity said we tried music but he yelled at us to go away and we all hid behind the bush except for Hunter he's fell into the river and he was covered in mud he was itchy and he was cranky we tried pies but we hid behind the bush because he was feeling them out of Hunter got covered in pies then he jumped back into the river and got clean trolland got into the tub after Farfus the dragon warmed it up and he was clean again but Farfus jumped into the water and broke the tub and the water washed us away and the water drained after we ran into King Ludwig We did it!!!!!! Now back to the fun house!!!!!! I exclaimed and we ran back to Funny and walked out of the door and had back on our regular outfits Welcome back, troll friends. Funny said we all walked down the stairs Watch your step!!!!!! Funny exclaimed Wonderful. Willow said after we all got down the stairs we put up our backpacks Gus was nowhere to be seen well until we all saw him fell out of the pipe from the wall he was on the floor and his backpack got put up because he threw it by accident I giggled Come on, Gus. Time to go!!!!!!!! I said then we walked off the front of the fun house We sure had lots of fun helping trolland today!!!!!!!! I exclaimed And we learned that being dirty makes you cranky. Hunter said We sure did!!!!!!! Gus exclaimed and we looked at Funny And here's a little something to remember our trip. Funny said then a statue appeared over Funny that looks like a castle Wow!!!!!!!! We all exclaimed Very nice!!!!!! I exclaimed everyone walked outside except for Luz and me I guess it's time to head home. I said Aw!!!!!!!! Luz exclaimed Don't worry, we'll be back soon!!!!!! Right, Funny??? I said Right!!!!!!! As a boy I don’t know how affected I was by how animated characters looked or were dressed, maybe because dress-up and pretend play was not really my thing as far as I can remember. As a father, watching my daughter pine after the either immodest or most non-representative characters is tough (I’m writing this after becoming aware that the actress slated to play Ariel routinely dresses almost as half naked as her animated counterpart, but in real life)

I watched the first movie I ever remember watching, The Jungle Book, with my children followed by a current favorite of my daughter’s, Encanto. Perhaps on a subconscious level, the movie influenced me to at least desire to live in nature with almost no clothes on, awakening some primal roots we all share as mankind. However, I think I was influenced by some of the movie's themes, particularly the song Bare Necessities. However, I can’t help but notice now that I have a daughter that movies influence them more directly on how they should look or dress in the present on a more conscious level. These themes are so strong that it doesn’t even have to be the main character for little girls and, perhaps subconsciously, even adults who are raising them to gravitate to the typical “Disney princess.”

During the song “Waiting on a Miracle” our daughter runs upstairs to put on her Isabella dress (Would she dress as Mirabel if she had the outfit? worth exploring). Isabella is the “outwardly perfect” character who looks more like Jasmine’s sister rather than Mirabel’s, complete with “naturally” straight flowing hair. Hair that my daughter covets but does not naturally have and will not ever have unless she chemically treats her hair(at this stage we are all about having her in natural hairstyles).

Is it really too much to bring to the screen a columbian family that has an attractive young woman that still actually looks like the rest of her immediate family? She also does not look like her mom, dad, or other sister Luisa. I didn’t realize it until now that I had a hard time identifying her as a sister because, at minimum, her skin color “belongs” more naturally to that of her cousins who have parents on opposite sides of the skin spectrum.

Even still, NONE of the Madrigals have bone straight hair. Perhaps the grandma does, but she keeps her hair up. Further, Isabella is presented as a natural beauty that effortlessly looks like that she does, and happens to have flower creating magical powers. It is a core fact of the movie that this is true which is why her youngest sister, the main character, is, frankly, jealous of her for most of the movie.

Somehow already my daughter is already drawn to the “Disney princess” archetype. It’s not just this movie. With Frozen being her first ever movie, she is definitely drawn to “white women hair.” I understand that on some level, she’s just pretending and that’s OK, so we’re learning not to overreact to her not “wanting to be herself“ which she has actually directly said at times, “I’m not/ I don’t want to be a Eliyanah! I am <insert straight haired female character name!>”

While Disney is doing a much better job these days with representation, it seems that they still need a little nudging when it comes to committing to the natural features of that minority group. They almost changed the skin color AND hairstyle AND nose shape of the first black Disney princess, Tiana, for a cameo in Wreck-It Ralph. That is until the voice actress from the original movie she is from spoke up about it. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 What was she going to look like? You guessed it, much more like most of the other Disney princesses that were also in the scene.

Getting back to Encanto, they did some great things with hair for the rest of the family. Like, improving the 3-D animation process kind of great things. Shoot, I almost wish that my son had Antonio‘s hair or that he grows up to look a little bit like Miguel (a closer skin color match)! Family, I’m a bit shocked that it took me so long to notice how out of place Isabella looks compared to the rest of the family. It’s like they made a purposeful decision that Isabella needs to be “the pretty one” and the pretty one has to look like a 20th century Disney Princess 🤦🏾‍♂️. Even further, that our family fell for it without question.

At this moment there is a Dolores costume in my Amazon shopping cart.
