A minor theory I saw someone suggest somewhere: the reason Ragatha reacts so uncomfortably to Pomni's attempt at denial by labeling it a dream, and why Jax stares knowingly at Ragatha (prompting a response, even), is because Ragatha started out with the same failed coping mechanism as Pomni, and she already knows how quickly it inevitably falls apart and overall just makes the initial setting-in of everything worse than if she had accepted it sooner

like, Pomni only narrowly avoids an instant meltdown because of it, but later this just comes back to bite her as she's forced to let it sink in while COMPLETELY alone in the office labryinth, which is practically designed to beat you over the head that you cant escape, and so rather than just panicking her sanity is already slipping

I don't know if they have a tumblr or anything, but I finally caught wind of the vintage UT Asgore-centric fic "Day to Day" by CourierNew, and aside from a couple dated things HOLY SHIT ITS SO GOOD??? Impeccable Asgore characterization, and holy shit Perserverance's chapter in particular hit SO hard like wow its nearly everything I could want out of a previous human/Asgore encounter

So I drew a little slice from that chapter that really did it for me
