Look & listen folks - @m0srael is one of the reasons why I've had WEEKS of anime happiness in my life. So on their BIRTHDAY, I have to scream their praises. First of all - my obsession knows no bounds, and Mose has been there with me every step of the way. From the moment I thought the sk8 the infinity theme song was better than YOI's to after I watched Dakaichi. Second - Mose is a genius beta. Not only are all their comments like YES, but they also helped cheer me to the finish line of my RBB. Third - Aside from being an awesome friend, MOSE IS A STUPID GIFTED WRITER [LIKE INSANE LEVELS OF TALENT]. Don't take my word for it though - below are two of their fics that have blown my mind and three that I'm *dying* to read.

i went into this thinking 2023 was a bit of a fallow year, output-wise, but looking at my stats page apparently i wrote 100k this year!! who could've known? not me. big thanks to everyone who supported me this year, whether by beta-ing, reading, commenting, or otherwise just listening to me moan. i'm quite excited for what's in store next year, including plenty more moaning. hope to see you all in 2024!

my love and apologies for my very (extremely) late response to your tags @goblinmatriarch @elskanellis @wolfpants @mallstars @lettersbyelise, (and probably more people from farther back) you all are lovely and I'm so excited about the amazing things you have in the works!
This is for my FTH 2023, which I started last year, then completely changed around, then took a long break from, and now am trying to come back to for the long haul. It's for the amazing (and patient) @m0srael and my first attempt at writing ginsy (!!).
Here's something from the very beginning:
The first time I said I loved Harry was when I told him I only loved him as a friend.
“You love me?” he replied, with an amazement that made me want to punch something.
“Of course I do.” I said. “You’re family.”
He looked so happy that I was sure for a moment he forgot I was breaking up with him.
“No one’s ever said that to me.”
“I’m really sorry,” I said.
He looked up, confused. “Why?”
“We’re breaking up? I think?” I wanted to sound more certain, but Harry, despite being lovely, was very confusing. “I mean, I just. I don’t want to be anything more than friends.”
“Oh,” he said.
The grass was soft and lumpy beneath our feet as we walked down the grounds towards the lake. It was September, the air crisp and bright, and coloured orange by the haze of autumn leaves wetted with yesterday’s rain. I didn’t say anything, afraid to break the fragile peace of it. I’d forgotten how quiet peace was.
After a while, he exhaled, a long and gentle sigh. “It’s okay.”
“Can we? Be friends?” I was so afraid he’d say no.
“We have been for a long time,” said Harry. “I don’t see why not.”
“I love you.” Gosh, why were my eyes wet? A stray black curl fluttered over his cheek. He still hadn’t cut it since going on the run, only let it grow longer, a wild black mane that fell to his shoulder blades. There had been a moment when I’d thought he’d died, and I never got to say it.
But here he was, smiling. He nudged my shoulder with his own. “We’re good,” he said. “I think it’ll be good.”

hey Serra! I'm curious, what are some of your favourite tropes/genres to read fic? in the broadest sense I mean, not just relationship tropes. I personally love time travel fics, do you like them? (also if you have any recs at all either time travel or for your favourite tropes I'm all ears 👀👂)

I’m trying to finish my current wip for an anon fest, but I am at that stage where it all feels like a bunch of crap and my motivation is really low.
On a positive note, I started writing on my phone a snowbaz speed dating AU. I still don’t know if it’s going to be a drabble or longer, but here’s a tiny extract:
“This is the stupidest idea Dev's ever had,” I tell Niall.
He ignores me and focuses on readjusting the rainbow pin on his t-shirt and smiling nervously at the bloke who sits opposite him.
The bell goes ding, and I close my eyes. I hear the scraping sound of the chair in front of me, inhaling deeply as I try to mentally prepare for another five-minute-slot of pure agony as another imbecile tries and fails to seduce me.
“I’m an arsonist,” I declare, my well-rehearsed opening line to discourage the next loser.
“Nah, I reckon you're just an arse,” the stranger in front of me replies.
I finally open my eyes, and my vision is filled with a mass of bronze curls, freckles and moles. He’s sitting there with his legs spread wide, jutting his chin out and waiting for me to say something, a dare in his blue eyes. I try to ignore the fact that he's a fucking wet dream come true and raise my left eyebrow at him. He's not even wearing a pin to signal who he might be interested in.
He just called me an arse.

This is the story of one very tired saviour of the wizarding world, a resurrected corpse and a mean little ferret living in Grimmauld Place together, drinking too much tea, talking less than is warranted, and falling in love.
My story for @hprarepairfest is finally here. I started this fic in April last year after @onbeinganangel infected me with the Regulus bug.
