My very imaginative human names for the boys are stan for satan and simon for simeon i thought very hard for those

Due to the nature of the idea, I want to keep it to things that I think that, if the brothers were going to the human world, they would pick out for themselves. Unfortunately, that also means they could just be bad at naming things. The current rankings are:

Lucifer: Lance or Luther. Lucifer is smart and I think he would know that Lucien or Lucius is going to stand out. (One of those is literally the alias for the guy who founded the Satanic Temple. It's not a normal name with normal connotations.) And Lukas is just Luke and he already knows one. Either of those still sound vaguely posh but not overly attention seeking.

Mammon: Though I was thinking Mattias or Mateo, if I'm being honest, I think he would pick something extra like Maximilian purely because it sounds like "a million"= 1,000,000 Grimm. Won't fit him at all, but he'll go by Max.

Levi: Levi shouldn't change his name, but if he's going to the human world then he'll treat it like an isekai situation. He's going to change his name to Aki or Subaru or something. Whatever the most vaguely generic Japanese protag name I can think of is.

Satan: He's going to name himself after a popular cat. It is a forgone conclusion. So I'm thinking either Salem (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) or Sylvester (Looney Tunes, but the nickname is Sullie). Salem is witchy but I like the nickname Sullie.

Asmo: I'm pretty content with the name Aster for him. It's a flower, it's unisex, it even starts with As. I can see him in a good fit, put the name Aster on him, and it works well enough for me. Works even better if you imagine Solomon calling him that in the exasperated voice of a long suffering BF.

Beel: Ben. I went looking through a lot of names and realized that Beel probably isn't going to remember anything too complicated. He'll stick to something easy. Ben works.

Belphie: For this idea, the brothers are picking their own names, and this is the human hating era, so I just don't think he'll pick one. No alias, just Belphegor and the world has to deal with it. Thankfully, he's lesser known so it won't raise instant red flags for most. MC will eventually call him Bell/Belle instead of Belphie, so it's just a bit more normal.

Here's my MC with his pet cat, Pixie! His name is Zhenya 'Zhen' Bogdanov. Though his enemies rather know him as 'Psikh Bogdanov'.

Because of his soft looks and polite demeanour Zhenya is often misunderstood to be a pushover by people who aren't very familiar with him. However for those who do, they know that he is anything but one. He's a softie around his family members and friends, but Zhenya's reputation as a ruthless individual sometimes far precedes his own family's. The people in the underworld often refer to him as a 'Psikh' (which basically means a madman or asshole in Russian) all because of his utter callousness when dealing with people and the extent of his ruthlessness. It is an unspoken rule in the underworld not to provoke him in case the 'nuclear bomb' goes off again. He looks up to his Grandfather and Uncle a lot (they're practically his role models) and he hopes to become the head of the Morozov family and bring it to new heights, although that might take a while considering he's busy with a rat (cough the killer cough) on the run. Plus despite his high ambitions Zhenya has a very bad habit of procrastinating things all the time if he doesn't find them interesting and running away frequently to hide in a cat cafe (psh the benefits of being a pampered kid i tell ya). Because of his strange obsession with cats and just felines in general, one can often see him cuddling on the couch with a shadow tiger (imagine instead of shadow hellhounds we have shadow tigers :D). Also he loves his pet ragdoll, Pixie with his whole being so to be given the chance to hold her should be considered an honour. The only ones who have been given this honour are Ash, Luka, and Rin.

Zhenya also likes reading books (though most of them are either horrifying fairy tales from the grimm brothers and the likes or manuals related to medieval torture methods, don't question him about it he'll simply call them necessary for scientific reasons, whatever they mean), trying out new kinda of foods (his favourites are the spicy and sour kind) and gatdening to a certain extent. Looking at his hobbies no one would believe that he is the heir of one of the biggest families in Elysium City (and that's exactly what he wants you to think). He's the living embodiment of 'looks like a cinnamon roll but could kill you'.

Tbh I enjoyed dead boy detectives. I liked the premise so I ignored the acting (u sometimes have to these days) but the sad scenes were hard to watch. I’m so glad you brought up the chemistry between the characters. Even though I see Charles and Edwin as friends, they don’t have palpable chemistry the fandom is making them out to have. Like they’re not jalec. They don’t have the intensity in their eyes. They look friendly to one another. But I do like their hugs.

Also there’s a debate about the cat king and whether he’s creepy or not. From the get go the actor was not charismatic enough to portray this character. While I was watching the show I remembered one of your blogs and thought whether he was written to act like a non-human way or just became Damon 2.0.

I can see why you would like Dead Boy Detectives. I don't dislike it. I think out of all of the Neil Gaiman shows out there, it's the one I enjoy the most. But it's a show of almosts for me. It's almost funny. It's almost whimsy. It's almost quirky. It's almost fun. And it's a show that reminds me of the vibe of so many other shows? It kind of reminds me of Grimm. It kind of reminds me of OUAT. It kind of reminds of Supernatural. It kind of reminds me of Good Omens (which makes sense because it is Neil Gaiman). So I'm never quite there with it.

I think the Cat King is supposed to be creepy but he's also supposed to be terrifyingly seductive, where you're supposed to always be on guard, scared, uncomfortable but also tempted against your better judgement and that requires a specific type of charisma that he just does not have (HE'S NOT THAT GUY) so I don't take him seriously on any front.

They're definitely not Jalec and I roll with how close they're supposed to be and the "they can't separate us" dialogue but to be honest, I don't really think a lot of their dialogue is earned in action or in the way they interact with each other, they seem more like roommates to me but I'm not harping on it. But even with Crystal and Charles, I'm deciding to go with whatever that's supposed to be too but I also don't really believe it. The dynamics I actually believe the most are Crystal/Niko/Jenny but not by much. Again, nothing in this show really makes me go hard for it in any capacity, I'm not invested, it's just mildly entertaining and it's nice to watch something different but it's a very surface-level viewing experience.

Quick Update

Hey guys! Sorry that my queue ran out. While I do have more of Goopy, all of my recent sim time has been focused on Monster Prom! :D I wanted to give you an update on how that’s going:

I’ve finished all of the gameplay for Nola’s round! 🥳 It was so much fun! Many of my ideas ended up working out and I learned a bunch for Rigg’s round - which I am VERY excited to start. However, I want to get my queue back up first, so my current focus is on getting the intro shots done for Nola’s. My hope is that I’ll be able to have it start posting by next weekend. 🤞

There were a couple other things I wanted to go over for it too. First is trigger warning tags! Some of these sims are definitely going to need them. My current planned ones are stiches/body horror for Nola; eyes/body horror for Ally; and maybe blood for Vanilla. If there is anyone else you’d like me to tag, even with creepy, please let me know! I’d be happy to do it.

Finally, I wanted to announce now how the classmates were divided between the rounds - so more information on that under the cut!

For the most part, classmates were randomly assigned to either Nola or Riggs. There were a couple I assigned based on preferences/history and some classmates I wanted split between the rounds. This is how it turned out:

Mitglieder der Nominierungskommissionen und Jurys der Grimme-Preise appellieren in einem Schreiben an die Gesellschafter des Grimme-Instituts, das Institut und seine Preise zu schützen und zu stärken. Zu den Gesellschaftern gehören unter anderem das Land NRW, der WDR und das ZDF. Das Schreiben der Mitglieder ist im Folgenden dokumentiert.

Angesichts der jüngsten Nachrichten zur wirtschaftlichen Situation des Grimme-Instituts sehen wir uns als Mitglieder der Nominierungskommissionen und Jurys des Grimme-Preises und des Grimme Online Awards in der Verantwortung, einen dringenden Appell an die Gesellschafter:innen und Aufsichtsrät:innen zu richten.

Die aktuellen Nachrichten aus Marl sind ein Schock: Ein Drittel der Arbeitsplätze im Institut soll wegfallen. Das ist nicht nur für die Betroffenen katastrophal, die betriebsbedingten Kündigungen werden auch den Kernauftrag des Grimme-Instituts schwächen: die Preise. Ohne starkes Grimme-Institut gibt es keine starken Preise, keinen Grimme-Preis und keinen Grimme Online Award. Und ohne starke Preise ist das Grimme-Institut in Gefahr.

Das darf nicht passieren.

Die Preise des Grimme-Instituts zeichnen Qualitätsfernsehen und andere hochwertige Medieninhalte aus. Beiträge, deren Bedeutung in Zeiten, in denen Fehlinformationen bewusst gestreut und benutzt werden, um Menschen zu manipulieren, gar nicht hoch genug eingeschätzt werden kann. Wer die Preise schwächt, handelt gesellschaftlich fatal.

Das Besondere an den Auszeichnungen des Grimme-Instituts ist die unabhängige transparente Preisfindung. Wir sind stolz und dankbar, Teil davon sein zu dürfen, und wir wissen: Dieser komplexe Prozess kann nur dann weiterhin stattfinden, geschweige denn diesen höchsten Maßstäben genügen, wenn die Rahmenbedingungen stimmen. Die sehen wir schon seit einigen Wochen und nun ganz akut in größter Gefahr.

Die Nominierungskommissionen Fiktion und Information & Kultur des Grimme-Preises haben die Auswirkungen der Sparmaßnahmen bereits zu spüren bekommen. Konkret: die Entlassungen der beiden Assistent:innen und damit das Wegfallen von zwei Schlüsselpositionen im ohnehin notorisch unterbesetzten Grimme-Preisreferat. In der Vorbereitung auf die zweite Sichtungswoche im November waren die Abläufe bereits gestört. In den kommenden Wochen und Monaten, wenn noch mehr Gremien gleichzeitig Nominierungen und Preisträger:innen bestimmen, wird sich das zuspitzen.

Beim Festakt zum 50. Jubiläum des Grimme-Instituts wurde von vielen Seiten die Bedeutung des Instituts und speziell des Grimme-Preises als bekanntesten Preis des Instituts betont, gar von einem „Gralshüter der Qualität“ war die Rede. Dem müssen auch Taten folgen. Die Preise des Grimme-Instituts sind die renommiertesten in der Branche.

Wir appellieren dringend an die Träger:innen des Grimme-Instituts, eine adäquate finanzielle Ausstattung inklusive Assistenzstellen zu gewährleisten, um das Institut und seine Preise zu schützen. Die Qualitätsdiskussion am Grimme-Institut ist einzigartig und ein wertvoller Baustein der Kulturförderung und politischen Bildung in Deutschland. Das Institut und seine Preise müssen geschützt und gestärkt werden. Ihre Arbeit ist wichtiger denn je.

What’s new in town?:

As the moon in the sky waxes toward the second full moon of the month, the crystals around town have taken on a blue-ish glow and are having varying effects on those around. Check out our latest plot of the week for ways to interact!

Wicked's Rest is hosting their annual Combo Pizza and Reptile Expo at the Community Center this weekend and next. You can try different local pizzas and purchase your reptiles all in the same place! Sly Slice has a booth and they're giving away free samples. While there aren't any free reptile samples there are over 50 species of reptiles and amphibians for sale, plus viewing opportunities for those who just want to look at them. There are also viewing opportunities for the pizza. Who knew pizza and reptiles had so much in common? One local vendor is also selling "egg pizza". A few people have reported the eggs wiggling around on the pizza.

The Grimm Family Ski Lodge is gearing up for the season a little early. They're offering ski packages for half off right now but you need to use them before December! Also the skiing is on grass. Some people buy them without knowing this.

The Generic Store's burgeoning spellcaster pharmacist is currently regretting his actions. That's because all of the medication in the store -- prescription and OTC -- is now cube-shaped. Careful swallowing that.

Anita thinks grasshoppers and tequila are appropriate for all occasions, including faculty gatherings.

Mack kicks off her apology tour and I think we should forgive the zombae.

Arden forgot to take her migraine meds which might be cube-shaped now anyway.

Background: Born and raised in a patch of German woodland, Greer has always been the definition of a middle child. She enjoyed the freedom to explore the woods surrounding her home, even with her mother constantly reminding her of the dangers surrounding them. But Greer never quite cared to hear them. The Gingerbread Witch had been dead for years there was no more danger. As Greer grew up, she became interested in topics that couldn't be taught in her school, prompting Gretel to look into other schools. After much back and forth, Greer starts attending Auradon Prep on a scholarship. There, she wastes no time exploring every place she can and becoming a part of every social circle, even if it's just on a surface level. She finds a few close friends and eventually someone she loves in the form of a new prince. But Greer will soon realize that being carefree and unafraid isn't always the best idea.
