What if the entire Ever After Academy cast and story took place in a more Wolf Among Us Setting?

Whitethorn becomes a town in Connecticut filled with fairy tale characters who've escaped the magical realm after a great war that caused most of the realm to be destroyed by the fae who wished to take over the land for themselves.

The triad becomes the peacekeepers integrating the fables into the non-magical realm, giving them a temporary place to stay while war wages in the magical realm. The story starts with the funeral of FMC and MMC's uncle who is suspected to have been murdered by a fable, though they don't have enough proof to determine which fable did it. FMC takes it upon herself as the newly ascended Path Finder to find her uncle's murderer.

MMC works as the Light Keeper, keeping the lighthouse light on and being a welcoming presence to any new fables that come through the portals. His job is also to keep the Whitethorn trees alive and well to help keep the fae from finding them.

Arin still works as the Guardian, protecting the magic library, and labyrinth, and assisting FMC and MMC in helping stomp civil disputes between the fables living in Whitethorn.

Nora Le Fay is an ally of the triad, assisting with magical barriers and upkeep of the magical library. Nora is also the team's main healer, assisting in treating fables who are infected with hexes or curses from the fae. She currently acts as a librarian at the university library as her cover while assisting with the magical library and labyrinth underneath the school.

Lucas Charming is the heir to the Garnet Throne, his family sent him to Whitethorn in a show of trust to the White Queen, who is assisting them in keeping the fae at bay in their kingdom. Lucas works as a type of bodyguard for MMC as well as assisting in keeping more rowdy fables in line. Lucas works as a docent at the lighthouse, assisting with tours and showing fables around.

Abel is a brooding woodsman, tasked by the White Queen to tend to the Whitethorns, keeping the plans around Whitethorn alive. He's the most muscular of the group and acts as the team's tank fighter when in need, however, he's distrusting of most people and is rude when provoked, making him not as effective as an ally in the beginning.

Lavinia La Guin, the Snow Queen, travels to Whitethorn due to FMC's family promising to return her heart in exchange for help creating stronger barriers to keep the Fae away, as the Winter Kingdom is currently untouched by the Fae due to the Snow Queen's intense protective spells around her kingdom. However, with the death of the previous Pathfinder, FMC is left to strike a new deal to get the witch's help in finding her Uncle's killer. Lavinia resides as the owner and bartender of an Ice Bar in Whitethorn, a common hangout for some of the less moral fables.

Jack Frost is Lavinia's younger half-brother, another child of Titania, Jack assists Lavinia in keeping their kingdom safe. He communicates between the two realms using a communication stone.

Ezra Wolf works as a bouncer at the Ice Bar Lavinia owns. He is a gruff and well-respected security presence at the bar as well as a great keeper in intel due to his ability to sink into the shadows.

A group of the finest actors, cooks, dancers, directors, fashion designers, models, musicians, painters, photographers, playwrights, poets, sculptures, singers, theater thespians, & writers, etc in the empire, confederacy, & federation. They weren’t there for their own ambition. The monarchy and the upper class are inclined to support the arts. They wanted to show off their investments. So these artists are their accessories to show off. Though being in the court of a monarch is a good way for artists to increase their patrons.   

Bodyguards. Cadre of foreign bodyguards. An elite group of highly trained, disciplined, & competent male, female, & two spirit hobgoblin, orc, troll, oni, goliath, & giant mercenaries. Mercenaries who distinguished themselves on the battlefield stood a good chance of being hired for a bodyguard job as a permanent exclusive contract. They are now a group of a praetorian guard to the monarch.   

Ahmose Idogbe. A male butler. The chief supervisor of all male manservants of a house.

Katlego Mba. A male castellan. The Castellan oversees the defense of a stronghold.

Andromeda Farmakis. A female chamberlain. Chamberlain makes decisions for the royal household in the monarch’s absence.

Liona Keawe a female chancellor. An officer of an order of knighthood who seals commissions.

Albus Ovius a male chapelmaster. A person in charge of music-making.

Nicholas Dupont a male chaplain. A member of the clergy attached to a private chapel, institution, ship, regiment, etc.

Phillippe Leclerc a male offerer of the Household. The holder who paid the wages of some of the servants above and below stairs.

Concubines. Full of male, female, & nonbinary members of more humanoid species such as aasimar, draenei, dwarves, elves, giants, gnomes, halflings, humans, ogre, oni, orcs, teiflings, & trolls.  

Alexander Seidel is a male confessor. A priest who hears confessions and gives absolution and spiritual counsel.

Anna Wolf is a female constable. A person holding a particular office, most commonly in criminal law enforcement.

Courtiers. Important not because of their inheritance or offices but because the regent has an affection for them. There is a certain charm, boldness, cleverness, honesty, strength, & beauty that caught the monarch’s eye. Their influence on the leader is not easily measured. 

Mira Benes is the Court Jester or Royal Fool. A professional joker or fool at a medieval court. They are typically wearing a cap with bells on it. They are usually carrying a mock scepter. A member of the household of a nobleman or a monarch employed to entertain guests. Jesters were also performers who entertained the common folk at fairs, carnivals, and town markets. Jesters are often thought to have worn brightly colored clothes and eccentric hats in a motley pattern. Jesters entertained with a wide variety of skills such as song, dance, playing musical instruments (a lute or a harp), spoken word poetry, storytelling, acrobatics, juggling, telling jokes, and performing magic tricks. Much of the entertainment was performed in a comic style. Many jesters made contemporary jokes in words or songs about people or events well known to their audiences. A halfling bard who was a former member of the king/queen’s guild party. They were a court wizard and spymaster for the sovereign in secret. They have the king’s ear and can speak freely using truth to power as an honest advisor under the guise of silliness. They are a power behind the throne. They are a very dangerous bard who spies on people for the king in other nations.  

Cup-bearer. A person who serves wine, especially in a royal or noble household.

Court Mage. The Court Mage has access to knowledge and cosmic powers none of the others understand and may be critical on the battlefield. The court mage was an arch mage. The court mage was a magic user for a sovereign to provide mystical advice and give magical services. This court mage was an alchemist, wizard, & sorcerer. They have high standing with other mages and the king/queen. Has a bad relationship with other court members. 

The Chaplain. The Chaplain is the religious leader of the noble household.

Dapifer. An official who is appointed by the legal ruling monarch to represent them in a country, and may have a mandate to govern it in their name.

Doorward. A person given the responsibility of being warden of the king’s door: protecting the king’s property.

Falconer. A person involved in falconry and hunting.

General. The General is the highest military commander.

Gentleman of the Bedchamber. A person involved in waiting on the King when he ate in private, helping him to dress, guarding the bedchamber and water closet, and providing companionship.

Gentleman Usher. A person or people responsible for overseeing the work of the servants “above stairs”, particularly those who cooked and waited upon the nobleman at meals, and saw to it the great chamber was kept clean by the lesser servants. This person was also responsible for overseeing other miscellaneous services such as the care of the nobleman’s chapel and bed-chambers.

Grand Master/Grand Mistress. The supreme head of various orders, including chivalric orders such as military orders and dynastic orders of knighthood.

General. The General is the highest military commander.

Great Officers of the Crown. A person or head of a religious order or order of knighthood often conferring with the King and other members of the royal court.

Guard Captain. The Guard Captain is the commander of the house guard.

Harem. There is intense competition between them to carry the monarch’s favor. There is a tense relationship between them and the high queen of the magical humans and them and the empress of the Homo magi. Guarded by eunuchs. Ruthless and power hungry courtiers who had amassed a lot of power. 

Head of the Church. High Priest or Archbishop. 

Herald. An official employed to oversee state ceremonial, precedence, and the use of armorial bearings. Employed to make proclamations, carry official messages, and oversee tournaments. The Herald is an expert on nobles, heraldry, and etiquette.

Horsemaster. The Horsemaster oversees and tends to the domain’s horses, alicorns, unicorns, & pegasi.

Intendant. A title given to a high-ranking official or administrator.

Keeper of the Seals. A person entitled to keep and authorize use of the Great Seal of a given country.

King of Arms. An Officer of the King. A king of arms is the senior rank of an officer of arms. Only a king of arms has the authority to grant armorial bearings and sometimes certify genealogies and noble titles.

Knights are soldiers with noble rank. Former knights and paladins of knight and paladin orders. A knight is a person granted an honorary title of knighthood by a head of state or representative for service to the monarch, the church, or the country, especially in a military capacity.

The Ladies-in-waiting are noble daughters who act as servants for the royals while they look for husbands. A lady-in-waiting or court lady is a female personal assistant at a court attending to a royal woman or a high-ranking noblewoman. A lady-in-waiting was often a noblewoman but of lower rank than the woman to whom she attended. She received compensation for the service she rendered. A lady-in-waiting was considered more of a secretary, courtier, and or companion to her mistress than a servant. She functions as companion and secretary to her mistress. In courts where polygamy was practiced, a court lady was formally available to the monarch for sexual services. She could become his wife, consort, courtesan, or concubine.  A royal woman in the magical human kingdoms was free to select her ladies. The decision was not chosen by the sovereign, her parents, her husband, or the sovereign's ministers. 

Maid: The chief supervisor of all female manservants of a house.

Maid of honor. An unmarried noblewoman attending a queen or princessA Maid of honor is a junior attendant of a queen in royal households. The position is junior to the lady-in-waiting.  

Majordomo. A person who speaks, makes arrangements, or takes charge for another. Typically, the term refers to the highest major person of a household staff. They are a head servant who acts on behalf of the owner of a large or significant residence. A majordomo is a person who speaks, makes arrangements, or takes charge for another. Typically, this is the highest major person of a household staff. They are a head servant who acts on behalf of the owner of a large or significant residence. A majordomo is also someone who oversees the day-to-day responsibilities of a business enterprise. They were usually also in charge of finances.

Marshall. Grand Marshall. The Marshall oversees the training of the troops.

Master Assassin. The Master Assassin deals with threats in the most permanent fashion.

Master of Ceremonies. Official host or organizer of staged events. Sometimes the one to give speeches or present performers. 

Master of Coin. Chief financial advisor charged with managing the crown’s money. Advised the monarch on commerce, trade, & economy. Oversaw all regions affecting transactions.

Master of the Horse. A person connected to all matters with the horses and formerly also the hounds of the King, as well as the stables and coach houses, the stud, mews and previously the kennels.

Master of the Hunt. Grand Master/Grand Mistress of the Hunt. A person responsible for the royal hunt. Often overseeing the care of the king’s hunting dogs and other animals cared for under the King.

Master of Robe. Officer in charge of the monarch's wardrobe. Especially for important events like coronations or annual celebrations. 

Page boy or page girl. A person of low rank who works as a servant to the King. A page girl or page boy is traditionally a young male or female attendant or servant of a noble. They also have been used as a messenger at the service of a nobleman.

Pantler. A servant or officer in charge of the bread and the pantry in a great family. In charge of pantry and food supplies. They are also responsible for serving the royal table.

Pursuivant of Arms. An officer of ranking below a herald. A pursuivant is a junior officer of arms. Most pursuivants are attached to official heraldic authorities.  These pursuivants of arms look after matters of heraldic and genealogical importance.

Royal Quartermaster. The Royal Quartermaster oversees the funding and the gear of the agents including poisons and magic items.

Royal Secretary. A person responsible for communicating the sovereign’s wishes to the other members of government.

Sage. The Sage is an expert on history and all kinds of lore. The sage may double as a tutor, herald, and court mage.

Secretary. Secretaries are generally responsible for communicating the sovereign's wishes to the other members of government. At times and places it may have a number of other duties. In most cases the royal secretary is a close adviser of the monarch.

Senescal. Administrator or supervisor. A senescal was in charge of domestic arrangements and the administration of servants which meant the seneschal might oversee hundreds of laborers, servants and their associated responsibilities. They would have a great deal of power in the community when much of the local economy was often based on the wealth and responsibilities of such a household.

Spymaster. The Spymaster keeps everybody informed about the state of the realm and any threats. The head of clandestine intelligence. This person handles the more delicate affairs of the court and country. They gather information not meant for their regent’s ears. They find blackmail is such a dirty word. They make minor and great nuisances to the king quietly disappear. A former rogue assassin and double age

Squire. Squires are knights-in-training who work as servants of knights.

Standard-bearer. A person who bears an emblem called an ensign or standard which is either a type of flag or an inflexible but mobile image, which is used as a formal, visual symbol of a state, prince, military unit, etc.

Steward. A steward is an official who is appointed by the legal ruling monarch to represent them in a country. They may have a mandate to govern it in their name. It is synonymous with the position of regent, viceroy, governor, or deputy. 

Stolnik. A person responsible for serving the royal table, then an honorary court title and a district office.

Treasurer. The Treasurer oversees the domain’s finances and sometimes literally its gold, silver, copper, & platinum coin reserves.

Viceroy. The Viceroy has the authority to rule in the monarch’s place. The chief advisor of the monarchy. They are the mentor of the high king/high queen. 

Warden. The Warden oversees a specific area of the domain like a forest or a village.

Squire that he/she/they are training as a knight and paladin. Left his/her/their tutelage as a knight corporal. Promoted to knight commander and paladin commander. Is now chapter master of a knight order and paladin order. 

Apprentice that he/she/they are training as a magic user. Is now Senator of the Magical Government.

We are ofk steam

You’re a passenger on this ride, not someone in any semblance of direction I was left wondering why I was a fly on the wall for some interactions. While you think you have some sway as to how the story pans out, able to choose between a couple different speech or text options, those interactions end the same. Conversations are largely written well, but even that’s sidelined by slow pacing. It meanders to band stuff and then just goes back to people hanging out. The characters are like the narrative: aimless and without direction. I care more about OFK’s holographic cat than I do its creator or fellow bandmates. Even when one protagonist makes what’s clearly a wrong decision, I ended up siding with them because every other character went overly - and unnecessarily - dramatic about it. They’re selfish and completely self-absorbed a number of side-characters come and go, and only one makes our protagonists look like good people. The protagonists take stress naps and generally seem like the world is against them. The first episode is a lot of inside baseball, people living in LA seemingly want to impress upon you how amazing they are for just that. They work day jobs on bean bags, tip-tapping away on laptops clad in stylish stickers, and frequent a bubble tea shop to generally lament about their latest relationship (or lack thereof). Despite being overly dramatic decidedly queer, I struggled to identify or find much in common with We Are OFK‘s protagonists. It’s that this point that I should point out my age relative to that of OFK’s members. Episodes are usually around the one-hour mark, and most of that time is spent aimlessly texting. While each of We Are OFK‘s five episodes concludes with a new song (and attached music video) to boot, you’re largely going to be following each of OFK’s four band members - Luca Le Fae (he/him), Itsumi Saito (she/her), Carter Flores (they/them), and Jey Zhang (she/her) - as they slog through life. It’s very much all of that, and not much else. At the same time of that trailer (shown below), a press release proudly proclaimed that We Are OFK would be packed with “emotional texting, thirst texting, meme texting, emoji spamming” and more. I was under the impression what would be released would be more about the band and its music from said trailer, and the blame for that falls squarely with me. The brainchild of Teddy Dief, a co-creator of Hyperlight Drifter, We Are OFK announced itself by way of a tightly scripted, hilarious introduction that was equal parts endearing and willing to poke fun at the industry. Having to come out with that right out of the bat makes me saddened and annoyed, as the title first flew onto my radar in a big and inspired way. We Are OFK is a biopic video game that has great music coupled with sparse, uninspired gameplay.

Bard’s Note: @theshapeshifter100 is the primary creative force behind the foreign continent of Vaqone. All I’ve contributed are a few ideas and the bit of lore that’s tied up with the lore of other continents.  I know very little about the majority of the youtubers that these countries are based upon in the meta; the vast majority of this is @theshapeshifter100‘s work, so please, give her all the credit!

Summary

Vaqone is a continent in the northern hemisphere of the Mortal Realm. 

Foreign Relations

The eastern part of the continent is mostly civil with Tirónar, with the exception of the territory beyond the mountains, which have had issues with Borrike in the past. However traders from the main continent do come to Tirónar, and leaders from the Random Encounters country has worked with and collaborated with various leaders in Tirónar, including King Mark, King Sean, Admiral Matthew, and Nathan of Fasithe. The western countries don’t really affiliate with Tirónar on account of distance, but traders looking for adventure make the trek.

There are four major southeastern islands that are considered part of Vaqone, and a couple of them have worked with the Grump Council of Halennor, Princes Dan and Phil of Lantraeth and King Sean.

The southwestern regions of Vaqone also have a trade relationship with the northeastern half of the Unnamed Continent, which has existed since the days of the Waldren Occupation.

Generally positive or neutral in Tirónar. Still some issues with the T Series territories in Borrike

Administration

System of Government

Varied, mostly single leaders, with several kingdoms having joined in marriage to form one kingdom. The RandomEncounters country has a council, but it is very clear that AJ is in charge. In the north west where Tom Fawkes holds sway now used to be held by a combination of Chuggaaconroy, ProtonJon and NCS, then Tom gained enough power to hold what became enough land for his own kingdom, curtesy of three other leaders. NCS, Lucajin’s and ProtonJon’s territories have shifted a bit over the years to compensate for Jon and Luca’s union.

Currently FamilyJules and Adriana are interesting, since they are in a relationship, but their countries are split from each via the lake! It’s not common to see vessels from their countries going back and forth across it.

Military

Varied, some don’t have large armies, some do. Coastal countries and the countries bordering the lake have decent boat craft and navy. The countries surrounding the forest have excellent archers, as do the countries surrounding, but not in, the desert. They have more of a cavalry and mounted archers while the forest archers are on foot, or in trees.

Education

Varied. As a general rule history, performing arts, storytelling and music are all taught, but obviously not everyone goes for it. Various levels of intensity across the continent, some have formal schools, others learn as apprentices, all depending on where you are and what you are studying.

History

Vaqone’s history has not been elaborated upon in full yet in canon. However, a few details are known:

Cerca the year 0 on the Duil-Feadhainn Calendar, a large fleet of ships from islands north of Tirónar found themselves stranded in southern Vaqone after attempting to explore the Borrian Ocean. The languages and cultures of these people groups would combine with the native tongues and traditions of southern Vaqone to influence the region’s modern language and culture. 

At some point during or prior to the mercantilist conflict between Senfara, Iontassia, and the southwestern regions of the Unnamed Continent, ships from southwestern Vaqone and ships from the northeastern Unnamed Continent encountered each other and began trade relationships between the two regions. 

In the early 1610s, a nation on the eastern coast of Vaqone began expanding dramatically to cover the entire region east of the mountains and several of the islands east of Vaqone. In 1613, this expansion accidentally resulted in a territory dispute with Borrike of Tirónar over several of these islands. Though tensions were high for a time, the conflict was resolved within a year. 

Geography

Major Geographic Features

The Desert:

Not so much sand as low precipitation. Dry baked earth with the odd oasis and high winds. The closer you get to the middle the hotter it gets and the stronger the winds become, kicking up dust and making it hard to see. It’s said that some of the oasis’s don’t stay in the same place, that they shift and move. People do live there (OSP): they tend to be focused on older myths and history, with a strong focus on education. It’s said that ruins and powerful creatures can be found under the dust and earth. Giant sand snakes, creatures made of rock, living cacti. No luck finding anything in the ruins so far though, every time a ruin is found it can’t be re-found.

The Lake:

It’s almost like another sea inside a continent, only the water is definitely fresh. There are marshes, fens and bogs all around the lake and populated islands inside it. These islands are mostly focused on story analysis, theories and rewriting. It is said powerful creatures sleep beneath the water.

The Forest: 

There are definitely creatures in the forest. Whether of magical origins is uncertain, but forests that big attract stories anyway. People live in and around this forest anyway. Given it’s large size there is large shift in species and climate, moving from a roughly temperate forest in the north, to downright tropical in the south. The people who live here (8bitgaming and Dawko) have a specialisation in scary stories and horror. Which is interesting given that they are surrounded mostly by musicians.

The Mountains:

The range has various passages for traders and other travellers to go through. Other than the mountains are generally impassable. The temperature varies on either side of the range. The north is colder and gets more snow, the south more temperate and warm.

Islands:

To the east towards Tirónar are three islands who have ties to both Vaqone and Tirónar, the Jaden island being one of the closest to Tirónar, the other being the KickthePJ island. Jaiden’s island also has rich bird life and thick jungles while PJ’s is a bit more urbanised, but really embodies the storytelling that Vaqone loves. The middle island (Odd1sout) is more agriculture based, the closest to Vaqone island (BrizzyVoices) is known for mimicking voices, either through mundane skill or magic or both.

Climate

Variable. Colder in the north, warmer in the south. More specifically, the north west is on the same latitude as Tirónar so similar to western continental Europe (Italy, Spain etc). While as you move south it becomes much warmer. The desert is the first real heat spot, and while it does get warmer in places further south, there is more rain. Beyond the mountains it is generally colder than the rest of the continent.

There is an annual monsoon season that hits the south east and travels west as much as it can before petering out around the lake.

Ecology

Wild Species

Snakes. Snakes everywhere. Burrowing snakes, swimming snakes, gliding snakes. If you’re afraid of snakes, Vaqone is not for you. Although to balance it out, there are plenty of mongoose, no flying ones though.

There are various species of wolves, some can be found mostly in the north and along the mountain range, while a smaller, lighter variation can be found in and around the desert.

Tigers and similar large cats can be found in the south, and the further south you go the brighter the wildlife becomes.

Foxes and deer are common, along with small cat species, monkeys, penguins along the coast. Parrots, cockatiels, racoon dogs, giant squirrels (ratufa genus (bicolour, affinis, macroura, and indica) specifically), large birds of prey

Domestic Species

Pigs, ducks, dogs, cats, small horses, rabbits, silkworms. Silk is a popular export in some regions. 

Economy

Agriculture

Dependent on location, rice can be grown around the coast, the lakes, and rivers, wheat, buckwheat and soy most other places. There’s fruit like peaches, plums and cherries in the north, pomegranate, lychee, and mangos in the south. Seafood and fish. Desert is a tricky place to grow things, they rely on the areas of their country furthest from the desert and imports from other countries for food. Duck and pork are common sources of meat.

Trade

Silk, rabbit angora, gemstones, dye, rice, spice, pepper, and peppers are popular exports from Vaqone. Coffee is also a thriving product grown in the far south. Vaqone has trade relationships in the northern half of the Unnamed Continent 

Culture

Language

Common is spoken, especially along the east coast, but it is not the predominant language. There are a mix of languages across the continent, with a French like language in the northwest, with some Latin like based in there. Around the rest of Vaqone I would imagine languages similar to the variety in our East Asia would be found. This came about from the northern Tirónar islands in approx. Feadhainn year 0 decided to make the foolhardy journey to Vaqone and became shipwrecked there, and a version of their language combined with the native language of the time persisted in the southern regions of Vaqone.

Cultural Highlights

An imaginative and artistic continent, some focus more on art, some more on various forms of music and storytelling. Some countries have a louder population, some quieter, there’s no real directional shift, it really depends on the country. Attacking Tucans is particularly loud.

The Western half of the continent every year has a Coliseum, which is a weekend straight of events around storytelling, music, competitions, comedy. Stephen and Mal have another annual similar event. All of these events are in aid of raising money for worthwhile causes.

There are many stories that have common threads that persist across the continent, although no one telling is exactly the same. Common threads include giant spike turtle monsters, a reincarnating hero, princess and villain, doomed to battle throughout generations again and again, sentient weapons, and enlisting fae and magical creatures to battle in your stead.

The latter is so popular that there is a physical token and card game around it, most popular in the northwest, but has pockets of fans elsewhere. The leader of the Chuggaaconroy country has his own large collection. Some of these creatures are based on dragons fleeing the Dragon War who made it to Vaqone.

Perspective on Magic

Vaqone is the third most magical continent in the world, likely due to its proximity to Tirónar. However, this magical activity is not evenly distributed across the continent. Magical ecosystems and Fae Gardens tend to be more common in and around the forest, lake, and desert, so those bordering countries tend to have more Fae activity. 

As a result, belief in and perspectives of magic vary heavily by region. Some believe it exists, some don’t. As a general rule, the closer you are to the desert, lake, or forest, the more likely you are to encounter magic. There are mages, and in working with the rest of the continent usually use it for performance, art and storytelling, but of course not everyone’s focus lies there.

The Fae are fairly common sights in the magical environments of Vaqone, under the right circumstances. However, they have a wide range of appearances, and it can be difficult to distinguish them from native, non-sentient magical creatures living in these same areas. One of the more well known forms taken by the Fae in Vaqone is that of a Baku, which is similar in appearance to a tapir and is said to eat nightmares.

Trivia

At one point, the tentative name for Vaqone was Muetju. That name will later be used for a country within this continent.

Another old tentative name for Vaqone was Keirfell. That name will probably end up as either the name of the currently Unnamed Continent or a country in Senfara

General thoughts and random lore

Most of the kingdoms with two names are ruled by a married couple, each have their own channels but for the sake of the AU they have mostly been combined. First we have Peter and Evynne Hollens, who were married in 2007, Stephen and Mal were married in 2011, Josh and Brooke in 2015 (1580*), Jon and Luchajin in 2018 (1611*). Because their marriage was so recent the kingdoms have not merged yet.

*Bard’s Note: I did look up the exact dates of each of these anniversaries to determine the correct AU date. However, we aren’t sure yet on how the first two dates will convert to AU years. If we go by the system established pre-December 1613 (AKA time moves 10x faster), that puts 2007 at the year 1498 and 2011 at 1537… which might not work, given the current year is 1616. 

ProtonJon's kingdom will probably get the name Muetju, since I based that on the French language and he's Canadian. This is the same reason he's got the mountains.

Chuggaaconroy has mostly lived in desert or otherwise southern states throughout his life. He and MasaeAnela are irl in the same state, and are good friends. Naturally people ship them, although they have denied constantly they are a couple. This is my reasoning for them to be on opposite sides of the desert.

Stephen and Mal both live in a seaside city. No more explanations needed.

Chuggaaconry, ProtonJon, and NintendoCapriSun are the founding members of a group called TheRunawayGuys. They've had many guests (and not all of them are on this continent), but they are the core trio. Tom Fawkes did some animations for them and now he does stuff for them (I don't know exactly) So his kingdom exists as a sort of republic state between the three of them. A mix of TRG fans and Tom Fawkes fans that Tom has been put in charge of.

Tom Fawkes is possibly the only one in this lot I know of with an Ego of sorts. Lord Donator, an 'ego' who appears during the Coliseum and is basically Chaotic Good. He'll kidnap Lamp and hold them hostage so people will donate more to charity.

The only other person I can think of with an 'Ego' is MasaeAnela, with Chibi Masae. She may serve as her second in command, and the Chibi's violent urges have to curtailed every now and again.

Mases has animals from across the continent as her pets (IRL sugar gliders, ferret, dog and bird)

Masae and Jon both do streams, and sometimes those streams are raided, both have countermeasures. So this could translate to a friendly testing of each country's defences.

Chuggaaconroy is notoriously innocent and a bit frustrating sometimes. It is said in their get togethers that you can hear King Jon scream "EMILE!" from the other side of the continent.

AttackingTucans and JoshJepson are close together because they have a competitive Versus channel.

Marriland has helped out Chugga a lot, but is still very separate, hence why opposite him.

Stephen's parents feature prominatly in his vlogs, as do many of his friends. His friends I will probably cop out with and have them as a court of some sort. His parents were the previously rulers who abdicated, because that makes more sense honestly. That way the can still provide advice.

Every year the entire east side of the continent will stage a Coliseum event to raise money for charity. Other kingdoms will have their own fundraisers, but the Coliseum is a massive event that many people get involved with.

FamilyJules and Adriana have also appeared on Coliseum so that's why they're so close to the Let's Play half. 8BitDrummer has also appeared, I was just a goof about remembering which is why he's so far away right now.

Chris and Peter have collabed, which is why they're nearby.

Caleb and Jonathon often collab as well.

I tried to put people who have collabed with Random Encounters near them, as well has having RE on the coast because people off continent have collabed with them too.

Caleb's kingdom was once plagued by a Phantom of the Opera like figure, who kidnapped Caleb at one point to forcibly train him to be a better singer (this happened on the channel in 2015, before any serious ego stuff from Mark or Sean) (5, 6). He appears to have deleted most of the videos around this except from the two linked, the beginning and the end.

Proclamations in the East in general would be educational, since the style of Let's Play here is more walkthrough than reactionary. This is not always the case, but is a general rule.

In the West, mostly musical performances, big focus on the arts.

Stephen and Mal are kinda interesting, since they do daily vlogs, lps and Mal has an art channel (Mal Makes). Masae is also artistic, so art is often coming out of those kingdoms too.

As of the 19th April 1615, the third Coliseum, the Lamp commonly associated with Lord Donator appeared in Stephen and Mal's kingdom, lighting itself after being blown out, or when deprived of fuel, glowing red of it's own accord (7).

09.09.20, 9th September 1615, Emile posted his first video talking about his extensive Pokemon card collection (8), which I reckon can be transplanted to the AU. Pokemon can be Fey like creatures that appear on this continent, or at least, some of them.

WIP: Ulalume

ulalume: story about abuse and recognizing that you can’t fix everyone.

    Mikhail wandered up the stairs, marveling at how much taller they seemed than what he could see from the ground. The occasional glass panes of the stairwell let him glance over at the crowd of people below. He texted another quick, “I love you, Morana” and stepped through the wooden doors at the end of the short hallway, stuffing his phone in his pocket. 

    He gasped softly as he stopped on the balcony, looking over the pretty gardens behind the hotel. The bright light coming from whatever was left of the moon shone across the little ponds in the grass, occasionally reflecting rainbows of colors off of the crystal balls that floated in the water. The ducks were long asleep, but he could still hear the pleasant rhythm of the crickets. Mikhail sat down in one of the seats and stared, mesmerized. 

    “Mind if I sit next to you?” A soft voice startled him out of his thoughts a few minutes later. Luca watched him carefully from his spot against the door. 

   “It’s fine,” he finally mumbled. It was awkward seeing him again after so long. He avoided his gaze as he sat down.

   “Morana’s not here, right?” Luca asked. Mikhail shook his head. “So don’t act like she is.” 

   He gave him a hesitant look. “What do you mean?” 

   “She doesn’t like your drawings. I know that’s why you didn’t answer me after our meeting.” Luca leaned into his hand. “She doesn’t like me either, does she?” 

   Mikhail slowly relaxed, feeling guilty as he slowly took in Luca’s words. “It.. it’s not you.” 

   “So why did she make you stop?” 

   “It’s more…” Mikhail sighed. “If I don’t pay enough attention to her, she could get lonely and hurt herself. It’s better if I don’t have any distractions.” 

   “I’m a distraction?” he asked, amused. 

   “No! I mean, not a bad one. You’re…” Pretty. The word seemed to pop into his mind of its own will, but his face burned in embarrassment. It had to be the stress getting to him. There was absolutely no way he was going to fall for someone else when he already had Morana, who, despite her moments, loved him dearly, or at least she said she did. Besides that, Luca was definitely not his type. He was too quiet, too serious, too perceptive, and it was way too easy to get lost in his eyes when they talked-  

   “Misha?” Luca nudged him gently. “I was just messing with you. Sorry if I-“  

   “Don’t apologize. It was definitely my fault for letting my guard down in front of her,” Mikhail sighed. “I’m sorry if I screwed anything up for you after that whole situation.” 

   “I don’t care about that. I was worried about you, Mikhail. I’ve got a bad feeling about Morana, and I don’t like the way she acts like your whole world has to revolve around her.” 

    He scowled. “She doesn’t act like that. She’s just been through some tough spots on her life, and support is really important for her. She’s working on being less dependent.” 

   Luca stayed silent, but Mikhail could see the way he clenched his jaw. “Why do you keep talking to me?” Mikhail asked after a while. 

   “What do you mean?” 

   “Well, I’m not exactly good company. We don’t have much in common, either. And you’ve made it clear that you hate Morana.” 

   “Who told you that? You’re plenty good company. Do you want me to stop?”

    Despite everything screaming at him to say “YES”, Mikhail couldn't help but listen to his soft voice and study the way Luca leaned into his palm, getting lost in the tired eyes that stared up at him with a strange kind of affection he wasn’t used to. Everything about Luca made him feel so comfortable, and that was strange and wrong. Morana wouldn’t like him being so close to someone else, especially an attractive someone who couldn’t stand her. If she saw him now, she would get terribly upset, maybe even hurt herself again. This is a mistake, he thought guiltily. She’s going to find out he hates her, and she’s going to think I hate her, and- what if she kills herself? What if she- 

   “You do that way too much,” Luca said softly. 

   “Do what?” 

   “Overthink. Even when she’s not here, you do things for her peace of mind. You must love her a lot, huh?” 

   Don’t say that. Mikhail caught a glimmer of disappointment in his eyes, and his mind raced. I love her, but... 

   Luca watched him warily. “If being around me stresses you out for whatever reason she gave you, I can leave. You don’t have to pretend it’s okay if it’s not.“ 

   Mikhail grabbed his hand without thinking and held it tightly. “No, it’s more than okay. I just... I like you a lot more than what she’s comfortable with.” 

    Luca‘s eyes widened. “Then the feeling’s mutual,” he said softly, leaning ever so slightly closer, and Mikhail felt his heart skip a beat as he did the same. One of their hands squeezed the other as their noses bumped against each other, and Mikhail closed his eyes. 

    “I bet he’s up here,” a voice called from the hallway inside. They quickly sat back as the balcony doors opened and an older woman appeared with a small boy in tow. “Luca! He misses you.” 

    Luca held out his arms. “Come here, Vinny. You got tired of boring old Caleb?”  

   “Yeah,” the boy said. “He’s just eating, and zia won’t let me play with the other kids.” 

   “Why?” 

   “‘Cause she’s mean, and...” his voice trailing off shyly as he noticed Mikhail. 

   “Misha, this is Vincent. You’ve met him, yeah?” Luca adjusted the boy’s collar as he buried his face into his father’s shoulder. 

   “I might have.” Mikhail pulled out the receipt from earlier and neatly tore a strip off. Vincent watched him curiously as he folded the strip into a small paper star. “Look, Vinny.” 

   “... can I hold it?” he finally asked. His face broke into a smile as Mikhail nodded and placed it into his hand.

after several weeks of being under the influence of a spell, making him act violently particularly towards downworlders and express hatred for anything ‘impure’, he attacked and nearly killed elena brooks. only her revealing that she was his sister briefly broke the magic hold over him and in this brief instance, he used her dagger upon himself. he was hospitalised and the silent brothers/a warlock was called in to help him. he is now free of the spell but suffering from the guilt of his actions (and weak from the self inflicted wound).
