Music Rec Monday 1/15/24

THIS SONG. Gods, this song. This song (and this band) are what made me realize I didn't actually hate Country music, I just hate most mainstream Country.

September Doves ended up becoming pretty pivotal to chapter 15 Bridge of Scars (story #6 of Home Across the Universe) in a high action chapter that was part of the Darkest Hour plot point for the story, ending in a We Won But We Lost moment that I had planned in the works for months. When I finally got to write that chapter I was so pumped and this song was on repeat for weeks to keep me in the mental headspace for what needed to happen. I made myself cry a lot writing that chapter, lol.

I found Lost Dog Street Band on youtube through a channel called Gems on VHS. That channel introduced me to a lot of Indie Country artists with unique sounds and interesting stories to tell that have made it into music mixes for my stories.
