I want to talk about the Teen Wolf siblings, particularly their age differences.
Brett is a freshman in season 4. We don’t know how old Lori is, but later she says Brett only accepted the scholarship at Devenford if they would accept her as well. This means either Devenford includes some middle school as well as high school, Lori was smart enough to skip a grade or two, Brett and Lori are 9 months apart, or they’re twins. It’s also possible she’s a couple years younger and was only recently accepted, but since he bargained for her from the beginning, I don’t think it’s as likely.
Based on the short audio clips from “Motel California” it sounds like Boyd and Alicia were close in age, both pretty young, but when we see her body she looks a little older. I would assume he’s older since he was in charge of watching her.
Malia and Kylie were close in age based on the framed photo in her room. In “Ghosted” Kylie has mysteriously aged from about 7 to about 12. Though this is likely due to forgetting information and not caring enough to fact check their own work.
The same could be said for Theo and Tara. They seem to be close in age, but the actresses playing Tara look like different ages. I would guess in season 5 flashbacks she was 11 or 12 when Theo was 9, but in season 6 she looks 17.
Isaac is 16 in season 2 and Camden would have been 24. There is a discrepency unless I’m missing something. Since season 2 is early in the year I’m willing to bet Camden would be 25 later in the year. If Isaac is 16 and Camden would be 24, that’s an 8 year gap. But if he graduated in 2006, he was born in 1988 and is approximately 6 years older. There’s no concrete evidence of when either of their birthdays are, so perhaps Isaac’s birthday is before Camden’s and there’s a short period of time the gap is 7 years. The calendar puts his birthday in February.
Kate said that growing up Chris always tried to make her look like the bad guy.  In 3B Chris says he was 18-years-old 24 years ago putting Chris’s birth year about 1969. Kate was born in 1983. That is a 14 year gap. Either she exaggerated or lied, which I would believe, or Chris was an incredibly shitty brother, which I would also believe. Could you imagine 17 year old Chris blaming 3 year old Kate for him coming home late one night or breaking their mom’s favorite vase?
We don’t know how old Gerard is. Alexander was 27 when he died. Alexander was 19/20 years older than Chris, so Gerard was probably in his early to mid twenties when Chris was born. A lot of actors’ ages coincide with their character’s approximate age. Michael Hogan was born in 1949, so if Gerard is around his age, he’s 20 years older than Chris and 34 years older than Kate. But then he would one year older than Alexander. Not impossible, but he is likely older.
Hayden is about 16 in season 5 because she can drive. The youngest a cop can be is 20, so at the very least Clark is 4 years older. It sounds like Clark had been her guardian for a while, so the gap is likely larger.
If we are going to believe the “In Memorium” video from MTV, Laura was born in 1982 and Peter was born in 1976. We never actually know how old Derek is. Jeff said his ID, putting his birthday in November 1988, was fake, but why? What is the significance of it being fake? It served no purpose and I think Jeff just wanted to fuck with us. Especially because it’s not canon in the show, he said it outside of the show. And if we believe the calendar that makes Derek a Christmas baby, why would he make himself only a month and a half older?
I’m going to assume Derek was “with” Kate leading up closely to the fire, meaning late 2004. If Derek was 16, or almost 16 if his birthday is Christmas, that would put his birthday in 1988. So in the pilot he’s 22. In the script he was meant to be 19 but then he was aged up because Jeff thought it was more important to traumatize him than find a way around it. In 3A Cora says she’s 17, which would put them at a 5 year gap. Laura is 6 years older than Derek and 11 years older than Cora. And if Cora was 11 by January of 2005, she was born in 1993.
I don’t know if this is canon or fanon that Talia raised Peter. Regardless, he is about 5 years older than Laura, 12 years older than Derek, and 17 years older than Cora. But Talia would have to be at the youngest 8 years older than Peter, and that’s if she had Laura at 13. In “Visionary” she appears to be about mid-forties. If this is within a year of the fire, then Peter is 26/27. The gap between Peter and Talia could range from 8 to 20 years.
I’m just so interested in these dynamics.

Liam: Gentlemen, gentlemen, let's be civil about this. Let's make a deal. You surrender, and you don't die. How does that sound?
Gerard: And how do you intend to kill us?
Liam: Oh, I can't kill you. But my family can. Say hi, guys.
Theo, with Mason, Brett, Lori, Jenna, Camden, Jordan, Isaac, Scott, Stiles, Gwen, Hayden, Corey, Kira, Malia, and Lydia behind him: Hi.

I'm pulling at strings here. But I'm reading a Teen Wolf Fanfic, and in season 5, where Brett says his family died in a fire. My mind went to the Hale Fire. Satomi knew Talia Hale, and being in a pack means trust and knowing. So she took them in because she knew their parents who were also friends with the Hale's and in the fire?
It was never confirmed, and Brett and Lori are now gone. Which made me sob very much. But Werewolf families and packs knew each other and looked up to Talia.

Rowing the Rarepair Rowboat: Brett Talbot x Isaac Lahey (Teen Wolf)
Requested by @rhyslahey
Brett stops Scott before he can knock on the door. Lori groans but he doesn't take another step, looking directly at Scott.
"You're absolutely positive we'll be safe here?" He doesn't ask because he doesn't trust Scott, but because he needs to see that he believes this is the right decision as well. For Lori's sake more than anything.
Scott understands. "I promise. No one is going to find you here. Not Monroe, not Gerard. Nobody knows this safe house exists outside of the pack."
He assured him of that before they even left, but now that they're in France, so far away... Far away is good. For the time being, at least, until things settle down and it's safe for them to return home.
"And this friend of yours, the one who lives here," Brett begins, eyebrows raising, "you're sure we can trust him?"
"Brett," Lori says impatiently. She can't stop looking around them every few seconds, worried they're going to be crept up on.
Scott nods once more and wholeheartedly says, "You can trust him. Isaac is one of us, and he knows we're here."
Taking a deep breath, he finally lets Scott go ahead and knock on the door. He keeps himself back a bit as footsteps approach them on the other side of the door. His arm slowly creeps out to push Lori back if necessary.
The door opens. They're immediately ushered inside, and Scott offers for them to go first but Brett insists. He walks in behind him, keeping Lori close at his heels.
For a safe house, it's a pretty nice apartment. They all move into a big room with two couches and double glass doors that lead out onto a balcony. The thin, grey curtains are drawn enough for him to spot the Eiffel Tower in the distance.
Brett turns his back to it as Isaac, he presumes, walks in. He and Scott have a moment together, sharing a hug and a general greeting. Then Scott turns to him and Lori with a smile.
"Guys, this is Isaac. An old friend," he says, and turns back to Isaac as he continues, "this is Brett and Lori. I told you what's been going on, and that they need somewhere to sort of lay low for a little while. We're hoping not more than a couple weeks."
"You never know with Gerard," Isaac says darkly. "I thought he was gone for good and now you tell me he's back. And with a new sidekick, like Kate wasn't bad enough?"
"Except, he's her sidekick, apparently."
There seems to be some doubt in that for both of them. Brett keeps his eyes on Isaac, and only shakes his head in response when he asks him and Lori if they want something to drink.
Isaac leaves the room to get some water and a croissant for Lori, who complained that she was starving, to Brett's annoyance. He did offer to get her breakfast at the airport and she called him overbearing.
"You'll both be fine here," Scott says to them softly. He seems to be talking more to Brett than to Lori, who's already wandering the room, admiring the framed art on the walls.
Brett says nothing, but glances around as well. It really doesn't look like a bad place. Maybe a bit more open than he would like for the place they're meant to be "hiding out" but it's high-up and in a whole other country from Monroe or Gerard. Could be worse. He and Lori could be dead.
Stepping closer to him, Scott lowers his voice like it'll make any difference. "Are you okay?"
For a second, he's tempted to admit that he's scared. Terrified, actually. Of being found. Losing Lori. Being in a place so far from the only people they were able to call family. His stomach lurches at the thought of Satomi.
He clenches his teeth and nods, forcing a tight smile. "Mhm."
"I can stay tonight, if that would help. But I would need to go back tomorrow. With everything going on back in Beacon Hills, I can't stay too long," Scott says, looking and sounding like he feels horrible about it.
"It's fine," Brett says. "I get it. They need you. We'll be fine here, like you said." His eyes dart to the kitchen door where he can see Isaac buttering Lori's croissant. He nods his head toward him. "And he seems nice enough."
Scott nods with full sincerity. "He's one of the best I know."
Then Brett decides. This Isaac guy must be the real deal. When Isaac returns to them a moment later and offers him a glass of water, he accepts it with a slight smile of gratitude.
"Feel free to head through to the bedroom and get some sleep," Isaac tells him, glancing back at Lori as well, then turning back to flick his eyes up and down Brett's rigid form. "You look like you're about to drop dead from exhaustion."
Lori snickers. Brett narrows his eyes at him. His mouth curls into the first real smile in the past forty-eight hours or so.
"I'll remember to throw on some makeup next time I'm on the run," he replies dryly. "Thanks for the compliment, Jean-Paul."
"You know I'm not actually French."
"That's a shame," Brett says, unscrewing the lid from his bottle. He walks around him and Scott, pointing down the hallway they came in through. "Bedroom's down here?"
"Yeah, on the right." Isaac then turns to Scott and Lori in confusion as Brett goes to find the room. "Why's that a shame?"
He smirks to himself as Lori wearily answers, "He's always said he wants to date a French guy. Or even just one who can speak the language semi-fluently."
"Oh," Isaac says. After a beat, "I'm pretty fluent."

-.-.-
Lori went to all of her brother's games. It was a fact of life. A constant. Like gravity or the fact that Satomi was going to brew that gross purple tea on Saturday.
It was a given, is what she's saying. Her brother knew she was there. Knew she was waiting.
And yet!
Brett still chose to take his sweet time in the locker room after the game. Did he not realize that Lori was starving?!
With a groan, Lori stood from her spot perched on one of the outdoor lunch tables. It was their designated meeting spot when Devenford played Beacon Hills. Unlike Devenford, Beacon Hills did not have any well placed vending machines to sate her growing hunger.
With a quick spin on the balls of her feet, Lori sighed. She headed inside, making a beeline for the locker rooms.
"Oi! Brett! It's dinner time, could you-" Lori clapped her hands over her mouth, eyes bugging out as the door of the boys' locker room fell shut behind her.
It was, mostly, empty. With two very notable exceptions.
"What the hell, Lori?!" Brett sprang away from the short brunet he'd been crowding against a locker. They were both gasping. Her brother flushed, wiping at his mouth with the back of his hand.
Ah. Crowding had not been the right verb.
Her gaze flicked from Brett - still in his sweaty pads, what the hell had he been doing this whole time?! - to the guy panting as he leaned back against the locker. Lori could take a guess as to what her brother had been doing.
The guy was cute. Adorable even, with his cheeks nearly as red as the jersey wadded up in his hand. He was kind of short, stocky. At least a half a foot shorter than her brother, but his pads were resting on some decent shoulder.
It was the eyes that gave him away. Big and bright, the blue startling as he stared at her. She'd heard plenty about those eyes.
"You must be Liam," Lori stepped forward, grinning wide as she held out a hand. Lashes fluttered and Lia. furrowed his brow, face scrunching up in confusion as he looked from her hand to Brett. She shrugged, hand dropping, "I'm his sister, Lori."
"O...kay?" Liam quirked a brow and her brother ducked his head, hand rubbing at his neck. Lori rolled her eyes. Boys.
Arms crossing, Lori turned all of her attention on Brett, "Not that I'm against you finally moving past your pigtail pulling stage, but I don't have a license and the bus is gone, so..." She waved vaguely towards Liam's slouching form, "Could you focus on getting a boyfriend some other night and hurry up?"
Liam straightened up, mouth falling open, "Wait, what?" Lori hid her laugh in a cough as her brother winced. "Boyfriend?! Why would- Do you *actually* like me?!"
"How could you tell?" Lori drawled, chuckling to herself as she let her head fall to the side. She squinted at Liam, "Was it the kissing? I feel like that might've been a bit of a clue?"
"I kissed him!" Liam defended, voice rising to a shout. His hands flew up as he straightened, glaring at Brett, "Is that why you were such a jerk when I was at Devenford?!"
Lips twitching up, Lori looked expectantly at her brother, neck rolling as her head fell forward. He scowled at her. Lips faintly bruised, jaw clenched tight, Brett met Liam's gaze with narrowed eyes, "You were an ass first, Dunbar."
Laughing, Lori leaned towards Liam, rocking slightly on the balls of her feet as she dropped her voice to a faux whisper, "That would be a yes." Liam growled, lips puckering as he gave her a clipped nod.
"Okay, you," Brett raised his hands, fingers curling into fists as he gestured at her, "Go away. This is the boys' locker room, you're not suppose to be in here."
"So? You're also not suppose to have sex on school grounds either, but I bet those showers have seen things," Lori shrugged and her brother whined. He ruffled a hand through his sweaty bucket hair, face flushing further as he bit his bottom lip.
Liam's cheeks somehow got even redder and his eyes widened. He looked pointedly away from Brett. Walking backwards, Lori giggled as she headed towards the door.
"Don't take too long with your teenage soap opera moment, I'm starving!" Lori pulled open the door. She paused, hanging off of the frame. Winking at Liam, Lori smirked, "You can come too. Brett obviously sucks at this. I'll even let you pick since he's such an idiot."
The door closed behind her and Lori heard Brett groan as something hit against a locker. Probably his head. Wouldn't help.
A moment later, Liam snorted, "Did your sister just ask me out for you?"
"Sometimes, I really miss being an only child," Brett huffed and a breathy laugh from Liam was cut off, quickly followed by a startled hum and a soft moan.
Lori banged on the door. She snapped at them, "No distractions! Food! Now!"
Her brother cursed and Liam yelped. Another crash of metal signaled what she knew had to be Liam shoving her brother away, "Dude, you bit my lip!"
Lori smirked as they began snipping at each other. Their voices grew fainter and then she heard the showers start. With a quick nod, she crossed her arms and moved to lean against the wall across the hallway. She pulled her phone out.
Ten minutes, then she'd barged back in and steal Brett's keys if she had to. Lori was pretty patient, but not *that* patient. Her brother could moon over Liam's 'pretty eyes' on his own time, preferably over fries. She was hungry.
Tapping at her phone, Lori sent off a quick message to Tierney and Jiang in their group chat. Their shared amusement at her brother's stupidity was followed shortly by a middle finger emoji from Brett.
Sending a quick angel emoji first, she texted back.
>>> So... is Liam coming to dinner?
The group chat was silent for a moment.  No dots. No messages. And then her brother finally responded. .
>>> He wants to know if you'd like pizza or tacos better.
Tierney and Jiang sent several clapping and celebrating emojis as Lori grinned to herself. A moment later the locker room door opened and Liam walked out, wet hair slicked back as he pulled on his jacket.
"I vote pizza," Lori told him, pushing off from the wall. He grinned and she looped their arms together, dragging him towards the parking lot as Brett rushed to follow them.
"So," Liam asked her, eyebrow quirking up, "How long had Brett liked me?" Lori threw her head back with a groan.
Brett pinched the bridge of his nose, "Lori, do not-"
She ignored him, "No clue, but he wouldn't shut up about you after you blocked his elevator shot last year."
Liam perked him, smiling broadly over his shoulder. "Oh really?" Eyebrows arched. Scowls were exchanged. She'd have to buy a spray bottle or something.
Gagging, Lori slid into the back seat, "Seriously, make out later, I have needs!"
"Yeah, yeah," Brett waved her off, starting the car, "Pizza. We're going.

I've been thinking about everyone that died in Teen Wolf and the only one I properly cared about was/is Brett (and Lori).
I mean I cried over Allison but that was mainly because of the reaction everyone had. Aiden's death did cause me to cry so hard and loud that my mum and sister had to come a check on me, but Brett's death truly rocked me to the core. I was so distraught, the only time i've ever had a reaction like that was over Jesus from TWD.
Like I scared myself over the reaction I had.
