Loke is the kind of guy to get on his knees and wail to God, “Why must our women suffer?!” He’d cry with one hand clawing at his chest while the other beats at the ground.

I love Gray, Lucy and Loke (also Cana, she’s here in spirit). The imagery and energy that they all share together makes me so happy. They’re all in-love and that alternates between romantic and platonic depending on the mood.

This entire post was inspired by @u1tear and the description on their post ‘hot girl and two bi guys with homoerotic overtones’. If we add in Cana then its just a group of bi losers.

Kinda want to rewatch Fairy Tail, kinda don't knowing Lucy doesn't end up with Loke or Gray.

Looking back at it, Natsu treated Lucy so horribly. Calling her fat as "jokes", calling her "weak" at some points in battle, or the cheap "she's always n*ked in battles", ditching her for a year with nothing but a letter, constantly breaking into her house and gr0ping her multiple times...

Loke always made Lucy his priority. Even after he becomes a spirit again, he broke through worlds to make sure she's okay. He adores Lucy to bits and always made sure she was complimented. Not once did he make her feel like she wasn't valued.

And Gray was the only one who really treated Lucy with respect too. He properly apologized after hurting her before the fight with E.N.D, and actually had a canon crush on her for a while. His monotone/cooler temper would've been a better match for Lucy.

It amazes me how people still defend Na/lu. Don't get me wrong, there's still a couple cute moments. But the vast majority of interactions between Natsu and Lucy makes it seem like Lucy is just better off with someone else or with no one at all.

Lucy and Loke Headcanons:

He calls her any and every pet name under the sun. It started off with actual pet names but it's gotten to the point that he calls her thing like "my little end table" and other weird things.

Loke summons himself just to say "that's what she said" to things she says. He leaves before she can kick him

“Sorry this is a hot people only conversation”

He has so much respect for her. Loke is not used to working with a mage who views him as their equal and he makes sure she knows how much he appreciates her.

Lucy insists on him spending as much time at the Guild as possible. She knows how much they mean to him.

He always hunts down her keys when she gets separated from them during hard battles

The definition of two pretty best friends

Loke brings her little gifts and trinkets from the celestial spirit world all the time. She always tells him that's not necessary but he insists that she must be treated like a queen

I love them!!!

I love their relationship so much. At first, Gray couldn't stand Juvia but he soon realised how much she cared and how much he cared for her. The whole Juvia vs Gray fight in the finale made me cry, especially when they killed themselves because they didn't want to kill the other QwQ

Gajevy

They're ship is so cute and gradual and I love it.

Yes, Gajeel did hurt her and chain her to a tree when they first met, but he's shown and proven to her how much he's changed. Their love is beautiful and I love them.

LoLu

I have to admit, I did ship them at first, but it's more platonic than romantic now. Still a cute ship tho.

Romeo & Wendy

Another platonic pairing. It's cute but I don't ship them romantically.

Sky Sisters

They have such a cute friendship!

I adore the Sky Sisters friendship and I want to see more of them! I also heard that these two could be cannon, which I'd would love to know if it's true or not. So yeah, ship them platonically and romantically.

I want more of these two!!!

I want to see more of Elfman and Evergreen so badly. The tsundere and the big strong guy is so cute and the scenes in GMG were so cute.

Toxic main four shipping Fairy Tail fans are literally my reasoning for not looking into ships that are definitely more interesting than the main four ships, like I already ship GraLu, but I've never seen LoLu in a shipping light because the fans keep enforcing that Loke is a literal connection of stars and has been around for long, they keep trying to make it weird but like Lucy hasn't grown up with Loke by her side, he hasn't been by her side her whole life watching her develop so why not ship them? Few people remember this, but Loke wasn't actually on Tenrou Island when it supposedly got nuked. Because of his connection to Lucy through their contract, he knew she was alive--but either couldn't or wouldn't call him, and he couldn't seem to open his own gate to her location. All of Lucy's spirits were hit hard by this dilemma, but Loke was distraught.

Aquarius is furious that Lucy finally has a boyfriend, and it's the leader of the Zodiac of all people--effectively one-upping Aquarius and her Zodiac spirit boyfriend Scorpio. Best believe Lucy repaid her all those years of snide remarks about not having a boyfriend.

Loke is knight, bodyguard, and boyfriend all at once. Lucy has neither need nor want when he's around, scarcely thinking of something before he makes sure to provide it.

Any boasting Lucy could do about having Loke as a boyfriend is only topped by the boasting Loke does about his girlfriend. He tells everyone, every spirit who will listen, that the Lucy Heartfilia is his lady love. That Lucy, yes, the super-duper powerful wizard who plead his case to the King, defeated Angel without his help, single-handedly took down a dark guild, and rewrote the book of freakin' E.N.D. because she's just that awesome.

There are two things Loke can do that your boyfriend can't that make him perfect for someone like Lucy. The first is, he can dance. He will tear up that dance floor and every girl in the club will be gobsmacked at the fine moves Lucy's bf is packing. (Reference)

The other thing is that he can rap. Literally top-tier white boy rapping. It would be the most embarrassing thing on the planet if he weren't legitimately good at it. That said, Lucy has forbidden him from doing it unless specifically asked.

Loke also tends to literally glow with happiness whenever Lucy compliments him. It's the most adorable thing ever.

NS/FW:

Lucy has the most incredible first time she could have had. Loke would not stop cracking cheesy jokes and doing the overblown flirting that Lucy couldn't take seriously if her life depended on it, she couldn't stop smiling, and there was no pressure whatsoever. Loke was legitimately careful, intimate, and romantic once they really got into it.

There was some concern over the danger of pregnancy. Turns out, celestial spirit DNA and human DNA don't mix. So unfortunately, no fanfiction fuel babies. Fortunately, it means they can bone to their heart's content.

Lucy has an embarrassing habit of running to her desk after sex because, well, what else are you going to do as an aspiring romance writer? Or at least that's what she aspires to be after Loke has given her some, ahem, muse. You would think this would be a dealbreaker, but Loke is just enough of a joke of a boyfriend to not only be flattered, but offer her writing tips. These two are a mess.

I adore the knight/princess vibe they got, and also just love the thought of Erza helping Lucy tap into her own badassry. Their friendship is really overlooked and i think it could be a nice semi-slowburn and then i’d make them a couple after the Edolas arc because Lucy’s torment of Knightwalker being a monster and her relief of seeing her Erza makes me so aahhhh!

8/10 would write a whole multi chapter fic Macao arc — Alverez arc dedicated to them

Luvia

Very similar to Erlu in the dynamic they could’ve had. That episode between them fighting that rocker hair guy in the ToH was so cute and it really showed what they could’ve have if Mashima developed Juvia.

7/10, would write a whole multi chapter fic Phantom Lord arc — Alverez arc dedicated to them, minus a few points bc of canon juvia :(

Lucana

I think this was my first WLW ship in FT, or, at least the one that I was most in love with. Their friendship is so sweet and I wish that Cana would stop groping her in canon :/

Might be surprised seeing this one ranked so low, seeing as i made lelu canon in my rewrite, but the truth is, i just like different lucy and levy ships more. that being said, this ship is so adorable!

Y'know what, maybe I'll just pretend Fairy Tail ends at the Edolas Arc so it's a win for everyone. Lisanna comes back alive, there's no Zeref to worry about, Loke and Lucy are hinted with the "Is he your boyfriend?", Juvia and Gray don't end up together, not much of the Mystic/Jellal & Erza bs, and so forth.

That means you'd get about 95 episodes without having to worry about fanservice or forced pairings with just a tiny bit of filler in the middle. It's before it gets all "what the fuck is happening/why are we wasting so much time" segment and arcs.

A perfect ending in the rain while most of the characters concerns are finally resolved. It would be an intense, but well-executed ending instead of what we actually got.
