Junior Wheeler if he was 9 years old during season 1 of Chucky (oneshot)
Hey y’all! I could not for the life of me figure out a proper name for this oneshot, so this is what we got. This AU totally escalated and I needed to write something involving it. In this AU, Junior is 9 and the younger cousin to Jake. Caroline and Lexy are also twins and 9 years old in this AU, but they won’t be mentioned in this oneshot.
Idk if I’ll continue writing this AU because I hate following the show’s timelines. But if y’all just want fun found family stuff where Junior’s 9 and doesn’t follow any timeline, then maybe I’ll do that instead. Also I wrote this within 3 days and without rewatching 1x08 so this is all by memory. Pls lemme know what you thought about this! Comments help fuel and motivate me!
Enjoy :)

Junior didn’t mean for things to get this far.
Chucky wanted him to kill his dad but he couldn’t. How could he? Sure, his dad was mean sometimes. Sure, he put Junior on a diet and was constantly having him run laps. Sure, if his dad was angry he would grip onto Junior’s shoulders so tightly that he would leave bruises—bruises that would be obvious right now if he didn’t have a shirt on. But that didn’t mean that he wanted to kill the only adult left in his family.
And then his dad called him and his mom a “quitter”.
What happened next was something he couldn’t quite process just yet.
His dad started to go downstairs and without thinking, Junior’s temper got the best of him.
He pushed him down the stairs.
His dad stumbled forward and then fell, smacking his head what looked like a hundred times before finally making it to the bottom…
…and a pool of blood began forming from his skull and slowly surrounding his body.
After that, it was like a blur.
Everything seemed to go far too fast for Junior to control and the next thing he knew, he was at Chucky’s house with that blonde woman that looked so familiar, Tiffany.
Wasn’t he supposed to feel different now? His dad was dead, Junior was finally free…but why didn’t he feel free? He didn’t feel safe. He couldn’t even eat the chocolate chip cookies that Tiffany gave him, his stomach was just twisting in knots.
One door, one…two…three…four windows. He noted in his head, going back to a habit he had whenever his dad yelled at him, counting every single exit strategy he could find.
It felt like he might need it, with all the Chucky dolls that were in the room and the other woman that called herself Chucky. Something about her seemed so bold yet also mean. But it’s not like Junior had anywhere else to go. He had no parents and he doubted that Jake would want to be around him. Junior was always a brat to him. Jake would rather be with Devon.
Except Devon was tied to a chair right now and kept staring at Junior, wanting him to help him. But there wasn’t anything Junior could do, he was too afraid. He just had to keep looking away.
At least Tiffany was nice to him, he could accept that. There was something almost motherly about her, but it made him want to cry if he focused too hard on that.
He missed his mom so much…
“Well, I don’t see a lady.” Junior suddenly heard the woman Chucky say to Tiffany, having been so distracted that he missed almost the entire conversation. The way woman Chucky stood up and faced off to Tiffany reminded Junior far too much of his father’s intimidating stance.
Before he had time to really try and find more similarities, Tiffany smacked the woman Chucky so hard she fell to the floor and the slap was almost loud enough to echo in the entire room.
Junior gasped and jumped, his eyes now locked on the fallen woman. Then, it was like something strange happened. She seemed to have woken up, looked around the room in both confusion and horror, and then looked right at him.
Suddenly, she didn’t look like she did before. She looked almost afraid and panicked.
Maybe it was because Tiffany hit her? He thought to himself.
Then Chucky, the one in the doll that Junior had been carrying on him until he got to the house, told Tiffany to kill her.
Tiffany looked like she was about to cry but the woman Chucky didn’t look at her. She kept looking at Junior instead, staring at him in a way as if she was trying to figure out why he was here. But she should’ve known that since he had been there for almost an hour, right?
“Junior, kill her!”
Junior was snapped out of it, blinking a few times as he stared at the doll. “W…what?”
“Come on, you already bumped your dad off already! She shouldn’t be any different, she can’t even move!” Chucky snapped at him, once again reminiscent of his father.
Junior looked down at the woman again and she was shaking her head just slightly. This time instead of looking fearful, she held a comforting gaze, whispering something to him about how it was going to be okay. He wasn’t sure if that was actually what she was saying, there was a roaring in his ears and his heart was racing far too fast. He couldn’t breathe and soon his vision blurred with tears filling his eyes.
I don’t want to do this!
I don’t want to kill anyone!
I just want Jake!
I want my mom!
I want to go home!
A small squeak of distress left Junior’s lips and then Tiffany was lunging at the doll Chucky with what looked to be a small knife in her hand. Before he could keep watching, the woman Chucky’s hand grasped onto his shirt and tugged him down, moving to his knees. Then her hands were around his face, a gentle grip on him to keep his face right in front of hers.
“Look at me, okay?” She said quickly. “Don’t look behind me, just look at me. You don’t need to see that.”
She was probably right because Junior wasn’t sure if he did want to see since he could hear both Tiffany and doll Chucky screaming, so he kept his eyes on the other woman.
“What’s your name?”
“Huh?”
“What’s your name, kiddo?”
“J-Junior…Junior Wheeler.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Junior. I’m Nica, Nica Pierce.”
“I thought your name was Chu—”
“I’m not him,” Nica quickly said, “He…he’s not here right now, I am. I won’t hurt you, I promise.” She spoke in a reassuring tone and even though Junior wasn’t sure if he believed her, something about her genuine eyes made him think that he’ll be okay.
“How old are you?” She asked this time.
“Nine.”
“You’re so young…are you in fourth grade?”
Junior shook his head. “Third.”
“What’s your favorite subject?”
“English…I like reading.”
“That’s good, reading is really important.” Nica smiled softly at him and Junior couldn’t help but to return the smile.
“Do you like music?”
“Yeah, I do.”
“What’s your favorite song?”
“...‘We Got The Beat’ by The Go-Go’s.”
“The Go-Go’s? You got good taste, kid.” She chuckled a little.
Chucky’s voice screaming out cut off the questions, “YOU FUCKI–!”
Nica’s hands moved up from his cheeks to his ears, cupping them in an attempt to block the sound of the angry doll’s cursing. Junior couldn’t hear what exactly she was saying but through the muffled noise, he could understand enough that she was telling him that it’ll be okay and to breathe.
He didn’t understand the “breathe” part at first until he noticed that his breathing had picked up again. Junior kept looking at Nica and started mimicking her own breathing, in through his nose and out through his mouth. The more he looked at her, the more he realized that her eyes were gentle and comforting, as if all she cared about in that moment was him.
It reminded him so much of the way his mom would look at him.
And somehow, in all that chaos, he started to feel safe.
For just a brief moment, Junior looked over Nica’s shoulder to see Tiffany starting to approach them, a needle in her hand. “What are you doing?” He blurted out without thinking, not entirely sure if the needle was meant for him or for her.
Nica seemed to know the answer because she whipped and immediately moved herself up enough–somehow not moving her legs despite Junior having seen her walking before–to shield him with her own body, and even had her arms out to make sure he stayed behind her. “Tiffany, please. Let Junior go. He’s just a child.”
“I’m not gonna hurt him! I’d never hurt him,” Tiffany said as she waved around the needle, certainly not making Junior feel relieved over her comment, “besides, he has no father anymore. No mother. And every little boy needs a mother.”
“And you think you’ll be a good enough mother for him? Tiffany, you’re a murderer.” Nica spat out, venom in her voice.
“So is he,” Tiffany retorted in a casual tone, “he pushed his daddy down the stairs. He already has such great potential!”
“I didn’t mean to…” Junior whispered so quietly he barely heard himself. But Nica must have, because she didn’t move away from him at all. In fact, she moved herself just enough that she almost completely blocked his view of Tiffany with her head.
“You manipulated him,” Nica started, “you and Chucky both did. What he needs is stability and he sure isn’t going to get it from you.”
“Of course he will! He’ll be with us!” Tiffany replied enthusiastically and took another step closer to the both of them. “My twins are getting older, they’ll be adults soon and they’re off doing their own things. But with you…we can start over! We can raise Junior and be a happy little family!”
Twins? Junior thought to himself, unaware that Tiffany and possibly even Chucky had children. What did that mean? Were they humans like Tiffany? Or dolls like Chucky? Junior doubted he’d get an answer nor did he fully believe that he wanted an answer anyway.
Once again looking over someone’s shoulder, there was a man. He didn’t recognize him but there was a gun in his hand, looking at Devon and then at the three of them. Junior opened his mouth to say something but Nica beat him to it.
“You really think that you’re capable of having a family and being happy?” Nica laughed sarcastically, almost sounding like Chucky for a moment. “You’re not. Everything you touch, you destroy. You don’t know how to love…and you certainly don’t deserve love either.”
Tiffany looked at Nica as if she had been the one to get slapped, shaking her head with tears now in her eyes. “No…that’s not you saying that, Nica baby. That’s Chucky.”
Nica leaned a little more forward to face Tiffany, away from Junior and he was now able to see the man getting closer as quietly as he could until he was almost right behind Tiffany. “Oh no, Tiff…this is all me. Not Chucky. Me.” She said strongly, keeping herself in front of Junior.
Before Tiffany could do anything, the other end of the gun that the man was holding connected to her head. He must have hit her much harder than when she hit Nica just a few minutes ago because she was unconscious before hitting the ground.
There was silence for maybe a second or two before the man pointed his gun at Nica. “Kid, get away from her!”
Junior’s eyes widened and he tried to throw himself in front of Nica. “No!”
His attempt failed because Nica immediately used her arm to push him back behind her. “Junior, stay back!” She told him quickly and kept herself in front of him in a protective manner.
The man still had the gun pointed at them, more at Nica but Junior was right behind her, but she began speaking to the man. “You’re Andy, right?” Nica asked him and Junior supposed that she took his silence for a yes. “I’m Nica. Chucky, he-he possessed me but I’m not him, I’m me. I’m in control right now.”
The man—Andy—didn’t seem to believe her so Junior managed to speak up. “It’s-it’s true…Tiffany hit her and then she was Nica. She’s nice to me…please don’t kill her…please…”
Junior started to find it hard to breathe, tears filling his eyes once more just as Nica spoke again. “Andy, please. I’m not going to hurt anyone, just please put the gun down…you’re scaring him.”
Andy looked right at Junior, not saying anything before he slowly lowered his gun and Junior felt like he could breathe again. “Are you Junior?” Andy asked him and he nodded after a moment. “Your cousin, Jake, told me to find you.”
Jake’s okay…he wanted to find me…I’m not a brat to him! He must love me then! Junior thought to himself but decided not to voice them out loud. Instead, he looked over at Devon and pointed at him. “Chucky tied Devon up. He needs help.”
Andy nodded and put his gun in his pocket, going over to untie Devon. Junior managed to hear Nica quietly say something along the lines of, “Did I do that?” before she turned her attention back to Junior and cupped his face softly. “You okay, honey?”
“Uh huh.” He nodded, no longer feeling like he was about to burst into tears. That was a good thing, his father would complain about him not being a man if he did end up crying.
Nica smiled gently at him, her eyes so caring. “We’re going to get you out of here, okay? You’re gonna be back with your cousin and be safe and sound before you know it.”
“But…what about you? You’re coming with me, right?”
“I can’t stay here, I don’t know what Tiffany will do to me. So I’ll be leaving too,” Nica reassured him and smiled at Junior again, “we’ll figure everything out together. You ready to go, Jun?”
He didn’t know what was going to happen next. Where he or Jake will go, what will happen to Nica. He hated not knowing. But he didn’t have any other choice. He couldn’t stay here. He couldn’t stay with killers even though he was one now.
So Junior nodded and looked at Nica as bravely as he could.
“Yeah, I’m ready.”

Little Junior AU: A little after Junior turned 8, Logan made him throw away all of his stuffed animals because he was "too old for them". It left Junior in a bad mood and he was very temperamental the next time Jake saw him and after some prodding, Junior broke and told Jake what happened. So Jake ends up buying a small stuffed teddy bear for Junior and making sure that Junior was able to hide it so Logan couldn't find it by accident. Junior adores that teddy bear so much.
Bree wasn’t happy with Logan after she found out either. She found out about Little Junior’s teddy bear and intentionally keeps it a secret from Logan

Dulce de Leche? - Andy Barclay x (fem) Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Word Count - 3K
Relationships: Andy Barclay x Reader
Canon characters involved: Andy Barclay, Junior Wheeler, Bree Wheeler, Logan Wheeler.
Warnings: This goes into a very specific AU idea. On it, Andy lived a time in Hackensack at some point of the years of his life canon doesn’t cover. There he casually bonded with the Wheelers, (a paralel for Charles Lee Ray bonding with the Pierces) then discovered the abuse going on in the family and infiltrated as a friend in order to protect the kids./ I’m being like the Muschietti siblings on IT regarding references to my country through the eyes of a tourist character.
Summary: A friend of Bree returns from a vacation trip and Logan doesn’t waste the opportunity to set her up with Andy.
Notes: @losersclubisms,this is inspired in your AU idea. I hope you’ll enjoy it. I am running out of grown up Andy pics,( he had so few screentime) but fixed it using an Alex pic I know you have found cute before for the header lol.
His wife was slightly reluctant about the idea, but her opinions never stopped Logan before. Whenever something occurred to him, he wouldn’t stop until making it happen. Andy was a good friend of his who had been lonely for too long and that couldn’t do any good for a man, his brother Lucas was the proof of that. Finding out that your return would coincide with his visit convinced him of taking action, it was a natural move to make because you were an old friend of Bree. The only one he liked and the only one she kept, also known to have long periods of singleness that he would unfortunately ‘ well intentionally’ tease you for occasionally.
If you had to be fully honest, you would admit you were still there only for Bree and her son. You weren’t blind to who was the kind of man she married, but any direct confrontations would make you lose her and you made the promise of sticking with her. Sometimes you would have to stand Logan’s bullshit, but you had to in order to remain in her life. It was incredibly narcissistic on his part to think you would be taking his dating suggestions, Andy was one of the few friends he shared with Lucas and that alone was a red flag. However, Junior had a strange fondness of that man that you would never observe of him with any other of his father’s friends and that was quite intriguing.
It was as if the positions he attributed you were analogues. Back when he was little he shamelessly called you aunt a few times and he got to be called uncle, which obviously stopped quickly through the subtle reprehension of the father for doing it. The only contact you ever established with Andy was through Junior and the genuine appreciation he had for you both, but you frankly didn’t know much of him. He seemed a nice man, but Logan also was in the eyes of an outsider and you knew he really wasn’t. You haven’t crossed paths with him in a long while, last time being one of the boy’s birthdays, but you remembered he was the only adult there besides your friend that wasn’t a total nightmare. You two stuck together for most of it and a few tension driven misunderstandings happened because you did find him attractive.
That wouldn’t mean that Logan wasn't doing an insidious intromission, the only upside being that Andy seemed as uncomfortable as you. He clearly didn’t ask for it, as you neither did. You were there to reunite after your vacation trip, share stories and bring gifts. It wasn’t on your plans to stand a set up feeling like in an episode of The Office.
“ Buenos Aires was awesome, there is so much to do that I would end up exhausted at the end of the day and still get shit to do on my list.” You were explaining, trying to get the conversation secured into the topic of your preference. “ I loved the art museums and antiquity stores. There is an alley that is a literal open-air museum in La Boca, that was  wonderful to see. And, of course, I almost forgot about the football stadium!”
“ I saw the pics, truly awesome.” Junior added. “ Boca Juniors, pun intended in the name of the soccer club because it sounds like it is speaking of my mouth.”
“ I WAS THINKING OF THAT THE WHOLE TIME! “ You followed him with excitement. “ I knew I was gonna hear one of your jokes as soon as I posted the pic of the entrance sign. You know, there is a curious detail in the origin of the nickname for the stadium you can read there. ‘La Bombonera’, which means ‘ box of chocolates’ in spanish, comes from the fact that an engineer on its development got a box of chocolates from a friend on his birthday and the team in the project found the shape very alike to the stadium they were creating.”
He seemed to find your tellings quite amusing.
“ The Box of Chocolates? Who thought that was a good idea for a stadium name?”
You both laughed together and you could see how pleased Bree was of that, a subtle smile in your direction showing how impressed she was because of that carefree reaction from her son.
“ Well, slang there is super confusing so it must make more sense for them.” You guessed in return.” Chocolate is a soft catcall word, when an argentine dude in Buenos Aires thinks you are pretty he may call you bombón.”
You knew you were going to regret that later, but the flow of the talk with Junior made you forget you shouldn’t have mentioned it.
“ Andy knows a bit of spanish, he may be able to explain to us how that could work on a phrase.”
The implied ask got him embarrassed, but he acceded.
“ The language doesn’t work the same way everywhere, just as we don’t speak like the british. “ Andy tried to explain. “ I don’t know how they speak in Argentina, but with the little I do know I would guess something like ‘ Eres un bombon.’ ”
“ Sos un bombón.” You corrected, not daring to admit to yourself that the cheap trick imposed may have worked. “ You have a great spanish accent, by the way.”
You were actually thinking of how soft he sounded, sweet even if he didn’t intend so.
He smiled in return to the simple compliment, a shy response meant to close the topic, but you wouldn’t have that luck.
“ Look at that, you sound like you are about to dance the tango.” Logan teased you. “ Did you actually get to do that on the trip?”
“ Yes, of course! A little bit of watching, a little bit of dancing… What reminds me of one of the gifts I brought.``
It was a great distraction that bought you some time of peace, you had tons of things to show between the stuff you bought for them and what was for yourself but you wanted to display anyways. The best of all was the sculpture of a dancing couple that you got in an antiquity store for Bree, she loved it right away and you were super happy about that. Since appearances forced you to be friendly, you got Logan a pair of shoes made of argentinian leather. As you watched him receive the gift with delight, you remembered the process of finding the proper thing for him with disgust. You knew it had to be something of leather,a famous speciality of the country. The first recommendation you got in the store was a belt but you quickly refused it.
It would have been like gifting a gun to a murderer, you knew he was an abusive bastard and Junior was taking the worst part of it. The thoughts on the hate that man made you feel dissipated for a while when the boy reacted to his presents. Two soccer shirts, one you bought in a gift shop near the stadium and another of the national team.
“ Messi! “ Junior commented, reading the name of the worldwide popular player on the inscription in the back. He didn’t have a great knowledge of soccer, but he liked it enough to once have considered wanting to play it for fun. When it came to sports, he would have preferred soccer practices on a non professional team a thousand times over cross country racing. “ Thank you so much, I’m gonna put it on right now.”
It wasn’t the gift that truly mattered to him, but the action of support. You knew he preferred soccer over cross country, as you also knew he preferred music over sports. Buying him a guitar would have been too much of a provocation, a hostile act towards Logan’s wishes that would make him detect you as a threat, but you thought of it so many times before.
Junior had a wide smile on his face on the shared knowledge in the imperceptible act of rebellion, wearing the shirt like it would be a silent counterculture statement. You rushed to take a pic but Andy got ahead of you, the happiness of the boy seemed to affect him in the same way it got you. The way in which Junior hugged you, then asked him and only him to take a picture of you both together confirmed it for you.
He was telling you that man was an ally in knowledge of the same code, also a pleased participant in the underground meaning of the act.
You wouldn’t get much time to celebrate your small victory before the forces of order would strike again. After the individual gifts were presented you showed some other things you bought for them that were meant for the house and your collective enjoyment. Food and drinks: you displayed first a fine wine for the adults, then one of the things you were the most excited about.
“ Dulce de Leche, I got a ton of jars for myself and I knew I just had to bring some to you. “ You sweetly explained. “ If you never tried this, it is going to blow your mind.”
“ Thank you! ” Bree followed you. “ I should have guessed it. You have always had a sweet tooth, dear. It was a matter of time until you would be talking of the local desserts.”
“ I plan to go back to Argentina someday and see the snowy mountains in the south of the country. People have told me that in Bariloche they have amazing chocolate and I know I’m going to lose it.”
Your friend was sharing a few chuckles with you, but Logan managed to ruin the moment for you once more.
“ Thanks, (y/n), but I think Junior will not be able to try this. I can’t tell for sure, but that looks like the kind of heavy calories that his competition diet doesn’t allow.”
Your inside was burning from rage, keeping a fake smile was progressively harder. Even when that was tecnically true, a fucking teaspoon of that caramel spread wouldn’t do the kid any harm but that dick had to restrict him as an act of power.
“ Mate has no calories, it’s just warm water on some herbs. Can he try that? “ The acid comeback came out of you before you could control yourself because you were about to explode.
Andy knew what you were going through, he shared your frustration and he impressed you by saving you from that uncomfortable situation.
“I’m really interested in that weird doll you told us you found at that flea market. Can I see it? You said you liked it because it was a horror movie doll kind of hideous and that sounds like my thing.”
It was an improvised request, he had no idea of what he was doing but he wanted to get you out from there before the tension could escalate and any talk regarding dolls was a fact that his memory would fixate on enough to make a quick excuse. He knew that it would bring no questioning because it served the purpose Logan had settled for the encounter.
As soon as you were far away from any listeners, he made you feel safe enough to vent your anger out.
“ FUCK! I hate his guts… How can you be friends with that piece of shit?”
" Glad to see you realized I don't share his viewpoints on parenting.. or anything in general." He confessed to you. " I have many guns and a military background. I am aware of the impression that it causes on most people, but I am not the kind of guy who supports or condones that. The kind of discipline that looks like abuse is actually abuse. "
Andy kept surprising you for all the reasons his so-called friend wouldn't imagine.
" Why are you here, if it's not for him?"
" I'm not friends with him anymore, but he doesn't know that and he doesn't have to because my actual friend in this house is Junior. " He simply stated. " I'm holding on to the bond with Logan because of him, I lost any true respect for him years ago. The same can be said about Lucas, but someone has to be there for Jake and I am happy to be that person. Whenever my times allow me to travel back here I check on the boys, make sure they are alright. It is really important to me, I care about them even when I wouldn't want to keep seeing their fathers."
Finding someone who partially shared your frustrations was so relieving.
" My goodness, that is wonderful! I'm so sorry, Andy. Part of me was doubtful about you because of absolutely shallow reasons... It's the very manly lumberjack, bear hunter like thing you have always had going on."
It was a teasing description of something you actually found attractive. The combination of his shyness giving him a sweet charm and his masculine aesthetic was an interesting mix.
Getting the certainty that behind that rough look there was a really sweet guy worried for the wellbeing of Junior was fascinating to you.
" Don't worry, it has happened before and I really can't blame people for their guesses. '' Andy calmed you, then proceeded into a deeper confession. " My father passed away when I was very little and someone took advantage of that gap in my life. That man got inside my home, he told me he was my friend and for a time i believed that. It was bullshit, all he wanted was to control me and he destroyed my life. Charles is the reason why I went to the military school and even there he didn't let me be."
You thought he was talking of an abusive stepfather pushing the military career on him in the same way Logan was pushing his goals on Junior.
" You are nothing like him despite what he did with you and that's something of your own achievement you must celebrate. " You attempted to comfort him. " You are a wonderful guy, Andy. What you are doing for the kids is something that not many men would. My bond with Bree kept me here even from before Junior was born, but you are pretending to be friends with two men you dislike just to protect their children. "
" Many years ago, when I lived here in Hackensack, I was looking for answers. Perhaps I was also looking for him, my abuser used to be from here and I wondered if he ever felt homesickness. All I found were more abused children, kids who need the support of an adult friend really being there for them like their fathers will never be. I guess I wanted to be that adult because I was afraid that, if it wasn't me, someone like Charles would. I don't regret it, even after moving out of town I still keep in contact because I want to keep an eye on them. Remain in their lives, know how things are going and if they need my help. "
You hugged him and he could tell that it wasn't pitty. There was a warm feeling in your approach, it felt like a call for intimacy and you were so close that he was smelling your perfume.
" You are so sweet, it's unbelievable. " You purred a compliment. "I am finally getting to know you for real and I am frankly amazed."
" Muchas gracias. Tu siempre me has parecido una mujer muy dulce. " He answered, the softness in his voice making you melt a bit as he was calling you a sweet woman. Admitting he had always thought that of you, making you wonder what more he kept saved.
You were staring at each other and the tension was unbearable. It was even more intense than that time at the birthday party when your doubts about him helped you keep your sanity.
Trying to come up with an excuse to cool things down, you picked one of the jars in your travel baggage.
" Dulce de Leche?" You innocently offered him a try. " I only have a plastic spoon from the plane flight, but that should work just fine."
Andy saw you struggling to get the jar opened, then kindly asked for gestural permission to do that himself. It was a classical act of service from a traditionally masculine man, almost a cliche, yet you found it adorable.
At that point, you were putting out a fire with gasoline. He allowed you to spoon feed him the first try and your eyes were on him the whole time. The sticky consistency made him lick his lips and you had to bite yours to avoid releasing a gasp to the visual.
" Was it good?"
" Excellent. " He confirmed for you, the heat of the moment giving him some unusual courage. " Do you want to get a taste?"
You kissed him without hesitation. Hungrily, yet sweetly, his hands got to your hips as you caressed his hair with one hand. Only realizing what you had done while you were gasping for air, you knew then that there was no turning back from there.
" The lumberjack thing really works for you, It's very sexy. "
He smiled at the confession.
" I have to say I haven't been kissed like that in a very long time, hermosa. "
He called you beautiful in spanish and it really got you.
" Don't do that! Not here. " You complained with frustration. " We have to go back to pretend for that horrible man and you can't distract me with your spanish accent. "
He chuckled against your lips.
" We are going to have to do something about this, don't you think?"
" Absolutely, but it will have to wait. "
He agreed, but kissed you one last time anyways.

“If I never bought the fucker at the yard sale in the first place, none of this would’ve happened! My dad, your dad, your mom… Gary…”
The fact that Jake didn’t once mention his aunt, uncle, or even Junior is kinda concerning.

Junior: Did I mention that my dad’s basically a demon?
Junior: He’s impossible. He would start drinking, and I’d be like “Dad stop drinking. It’s either me or the booze.”
Junior: And he’d be like “Well, then I choose…the booze.”
Junior: *stares off with a far distant look in his eyes*

Defending Junior Wheeler because I can.
Tumblr media
So first of all, I'm not excusing his problematic behaviours, how he treated Jake, etc. That was wrong. I'm merely giving my viewpoint on what Junior was going through and how that affected him.
Even just looking back at the dinner scene in episode one, you can start to see why Junior is upset at Jake, even if it isn't his fault and should be directed at Logan. Logan defending and encouraging Jake about how him being gay is a non issue and asking him about his sculpture is one of the many things he did to hurt Junior. Even if he may not have realised that part. Junior watched that encouragement from his father knowing full well that if it was him, his father wouldn't have approved and would have actively been mad at him for it.
Speaking from experience, witnessing that kind of difference in treatment between you and another family member and knowing how it would not be okay if it was the other way round, it really fucking hurts. Junior was feeling so incredibly pressured and alone due to this. Not to mention how isolated he felt would have only gotten worse when Jake came to live with them, and he lost Bree. Over time, witnessing that difference in treatment just makes someone feel so damn worthless and in a way that they don't know how to explain this to someone without feeling that they are a disappointment or being ungrateful.
As Junior said in episode 8, he was mainly afraid and didn't know how to deal with that or communicate how he felt to others because of it. He didn't hate Jake. He hated the difference in their treatment. When Lexy bullied Jake, he tried to speak up about it to Lexy and she would get mad at him or ridicule him for communicating his feelings which he clearly struggled to do anyway. He was genuinely bothered by what Lexy did at the party and confronted her, asking her to apologise to Jake. That wasn't something he was told to do. He did it himself. Unlike Lexy at that time, who even after being asked was still very reluctant and continued to treat Jake badly. I just felt the need to point that out since I noticed that a lot of people who criticise Junior seem to love Lexy despite her past actions.

*Prince Julian Wheeler was the first born to King Andy and Queen Nica, with the boy being loved by many throughout the kingdom ever since his birth had been announced. In fact, he was a miracle child, as Queen Nica had gotten sick shortly before he was born. However, she was given a magical healing flower In the form of a stew for her to drink, which saved her life as well as Julian's. But sadly, only a few nights after the prince was born, he was taken away by a mysterious elderly man In the middle of the night and was gone just like that. And since then, the king and queen, as well as the rest of the kingdom, would light lanterns and release them Into the night sky every year on his birthday, hoping that one day, their lost prince would come home*
*It remained this way for the next eighteen years as the prince grew older, with the elderly man keeping him locked away In a far off tower, his hair growing long as It was found out to be the secret to keeping the man young. All It took was a simple song and the boy's hair would grow a bright gold and would not only keep the man young, but could heal any wound he could possibly have. Julian spent most of his days alone as the man he thought was his father, named Charles, would be gone almost the whole day as Julian filled the tower's walls with multiple paintings and sketches as well as did many other tasks throughout his day, such as cooking, cleaning, reading, sewing, and even brushing his extremely long and curly hair to keep him occupied. He did this every day, pretty much like a daily routine, one that he would often find himself getting bored over as Charles had feared him away from ever leaving the tower, saying that the outside world was a dark and dangerous place filled to the brim with horrible and scary people that wanted to harm him*
*So, the prince remained In the tower all day and every day, just taking care of his daily tasks until his so-called father decided to return from whatever expedition he decided to go on for the day. But Julian was particularly excited since his eighteenth birthday was coming up In a couple of days and he was ready to Inform his father on the matter as he painted over a new spot he found In the tower alongside his pet chameleon and only friend, Lydia*
