“You’ve got me crying, crying again.”

Months had gone by since you last saw your lover. The last time you had looked into his eyes was as he was grabbing his bags to walk onto the plane, and you locked eyes and shared one last long kiss before he would leave for the European leg of the tour.

You worked extra time to be able to afford a plane ticket to go and see James in Paris for your two year anniversary. You had called the bands manager and he gave you all the details of where the band was staying, what they were doing after the show, and where to surprise James at. Everything was perfect.

You had gotten your hair done, went to the beach to get a nice tan, and even bought a new red dress to surprise him in.

The day came to leave and you happily grabbed your suitcase and got into the cab to go to the airport. Once you got there and all checked in, you called the bands manager to let him know you had arrived at the airport, and would be getting on the plane soon. When you did get on the plane, you managed to sleep for the nine hours of the plane ride and with the last hour before you arrived you painted your nails. When you got off the plane you immediately went to the nearest phone and called the bands manager again to tell him you had arrived and that you would get a taxi to the hotel.

“I’ll meet you outside, James is at the bar right now so you can change in my room while I go and get him and bring him to the meeting spot.” the bands manager said over the phone. “Okay!” you replied, you couldn’t stop smiling. You hailed a taxi outside and got driven to the hotel and met the bands manager outside.

He took you upstairs and let you into his room. “I’ll be back in fifteen minutes with James! Be quick!” He said and you gave him the thumbs up before quickly getting inside and getting your dress and heels on and touching up your hair and putting on your makeup (which you surprisingly did in fifteen minutes).

The rooms phone rang and you picked it up. “Hello!”You said, excitedly. “Y/N.” the bands manager replied - sounding slightly nervous. “It may take awhile, stay in the room and don’t come down okay?” he said quickly. Before you could ask what was going on the phone line went silent. You had a bad feeling in the bottom of your stomach…you needed to see what was going on.

You opened the hotel door and walked towards the elevator. You honestly just assumed that James wasn’t there yet - and you were just going to hide behind the wall while you waited for-

As the elevator door opened, you could see James with his arm wrapped around two girls in short dresses and they were both looking up at him with lust in their eyes. “What the fuck?” you yelled, and James’ head snapped up. His arms fell from the girls shoulders and he walked over to you. “Baby! What are you doing here?” he asked as he got closer and brought out his arm to touch yours.

“James, who the fuck are they?” you said as you looked over his shoulder at the girls who now looked slightly scared and definitely confused. “No one baby, just some fans.” he said and put his hands on the side of your arms. You quickly moved away from him “Don’t touch me!” you yelled “Tell me James! Who are they?” you yelled again. “Uh, you didn’t say you had a girlfriend.” One of the girls said and you looked up at James “Well he does, of two years.” you said and looked at him “Happy anniversary you fucking asshole!” You yelled and hit his chest before walking away.

“Baby! Y/N!” James yelled as you walked out of the hotel. You walked down the cold street and try to hold your tears in until you could find some place secluded. Finally, you found a bar and walked in. The techno music and the colorful lights surprised you when you first walked in but you made a bee line to the bathroom and walked into one of the stalls before sitting down on the toilet and beginning to cry. No, not cry, sob.

You held your hands to your eyes and when you brought them down to grab some toilet paper to use as tissue you could see your mascara on your palms. As you sniffled you could hear a faint knock on the door “Mademoiselle? Are you alright?” you heard a female voice as from the other side of the stall. “Uh, yes! Sorry I’ll be out in a moment!” You said and began to wipe your tears. “Non! Please take your time.” the woman’s voice said back quickly.

You wiped your tears and nose before standing up and opening the stall door. You saw a worried looking woman standing by the sink, “Aww. What happened?” The woman asked. You walked over to the sink “I came here to surprise my boyfriend, but I found out that he was cheating on me.” you said and looked at yourself in the mirror.

The woman placed her hand on your back “That asshole!” the woman said, and you laughed. “Yeah, I mean…he’s in a band. But I always just thought that rockstars cheating on their girlfriends was a rumor.” you said and wiped the creased mascara under your eyes away. “What band?” She asked “Metallica. They played a show here tonight.” you replied. “Pfft, there music is not that good. Plus! There are many cute french boys here tonight that I’m sure would love to buy you a drink!” She said and smiled, you smiled back “Yeah…I did see some cute ones when I walked in.” you said and you both laughed.

“Come on! Turn that frown upside down and lets go get drunk!” The woman said and threw her arms in the air and woo’d. You turned to her and grabbed her hand that she held out for you.

“Okay! Let’s go!” you said, and you two walked back out into the bar.
