Not to dwell on the subject but I remember being very uncomfortable w Rahne as a survivor for years and how much people would attack me for it and there’s countless other characters that are deeply uncomfortable to survivors (or force us to have very complicated feelings about) and I wish the fandom was like. Normal about it. Yeah some people are not gonna be able to overlook Rahne, or what’s her name w Sam, some people are going to be extremely protective of Dick or Emma, ect like. You need to learn to be ok w that especially if you’re not a survivor yourself. Like I cannot stress how much I need the fandom to learn to be normal about survivors and not just fictional ones 😭

I would like to draw a lot more :D I think it's a lot of fun to look at historical eras and try to make parallels and connections!(either through my OCs or my F1 boys) But god, when I look at old paintings for ref, the level of detail in the clothing is a bit scary... but I still think it's very interesting to do research into it and design it :)

Bit of historical rambling:

I said in the tags that this AU could really only be Vettonso, and I will explain why. I mean obviously at first, I was only comparing that statue to Seb because uhhhh he looks like Seb!!! But I researched a bit more into that era and guess what's happening at this point: The Spanish War of Succession. Which was when the Spanish Throne was up for grabs, and the two main candidates were a Spanish Duke and an Austrian heir to the Holy Roman Empire. See where I'm going with this?

But the Spanish Duke ends up getting the throne, rightfully, but the Austrian ends up becoming the Holy Roman Emperor even though he wasn't first in line, so who really won in the end!

Lmao I think this AU would end up being: well, guess how we can reunite the Austrian and Spanish bloodlines again....arranged marriage plot!! Canon Divergence in both the matters of them being replaced with Vettonso and also with the war not happening

God help me, I read way too much about the Habsburgs, I blame my trip to Austria 🤧 My German prof, who is from there, always seems kinda proud of the history so I wonder what he'd think if he knew I was looking into it this much....and bastardizing it

     ( Honestly, he doesn't think he's been doing anything real mindblowing with his flying. S'just practice, and all practice is more tiring-in-the-best-way than anything. But if there's anybody who knows their stuff 'bout flight — no doubt it'd be the most awesome ever master who can muster his own updraft!

     So—! If he's finding Tulin's flight great enough to deem "noteworthy"—...! )

     "D’you mean that?!" bursts outta him as soon as he’s got the voice for it, and he's turning over from where he's laid on his back to grin straight up at Master Revali. Blizzards, there aren’t enough wows in the world for Tulin to express how totally WOW!! this is! On the next beat, he's climbing to his feet with a pump of clenched wings and a determined set to his shoulders. "'Cause I'm only gonna keep getting better and better, y'know! 'Til I can fly just like you!"

     The question tempers his sudden excitement, but only a little! Tulin's still practically glowing as he searches for the answer, digging through memories of a time he feels like he left behind ages ago. Bit by bit, though, the thrill of being recognised fades — replaced with the mild daze of having to think very, very hard.

     Flying on his own is different from flying at all, right? He's pretty sure Master Revali isn't asking when he started fledging. Preeeetty sure. Hmm...when was the last time anyone carried him through the Windlines for real? Was it during his eleventh winter? No way, it was sometime in his tenth...or was it his ninth? No, no, wait...er.

     "...I don't really remember," he admits, sheepishly. Please don't be disappointed, Master Revali. Oh, oh— but if there's something he can definitely, definitively say 'bout this— "But I started first! I started flying on my own first outta the fledglings!"
