a lot of things that happened on house md have stuck with me over the seven years that have passed since i first watched the show but one episode that really sticks out is the time they gave a guy electroshock therapy to wipe his memory clean so he’d forget his brother’s fiancée, whom he was in love with, and stop dying of broken heart syndrome but then it turned out that the brother and crush weren’t actually together and false memories, like the one that got his memory erased, were a symptom of his actual problem so they completely wiped his brain and basically ruined his life for no actual reason also house is going back and forth between court and rehab to try to avoid going to prison for stealing a dead guy’s oxy
