Tips for Preparing Your Home for Scare Clowns

Say hello to Mr P, a funkopop lineage scare bred to of course look like the latest cinematic version of Stephen King's infamous character, Pennywise. I don't normally choose to support funkopop due to their over breeding of scares and low support for keepers. I've seen plenty of first time clown keeper's have a lot of trouble with these tough critters and it always ends in tears.

To help deter the recent trend of irresponsible people dumping their semi-aquatic scare clowns in local sewers, I've written this blog as a basic care guide for this fierce but adorable breed.

Are Scare Clowns Good Pets?

I hate to say it, but the short answer is a firm no. While there are breeders capable of producing lineages of docile clowns with scare looks, it's debatable among scare enthusiasts if this practice produces a true member of the breed or if it's even humane. Scares of purer breeding are for all practical purposes a wild animal.

Generally speaking, they don't want your atte tion, they don't want snacks, and they most certainly don't want cuddles. While individuals will of course vary, most scare clowns are highly territorial, completey solitary, and primarily they want to hunt and to terrify. It's just what they do and their raw personalities and high intelligence are what make them so appealing to their die hard fans (like me! 🤡💖).

So if you're looking for a companion or a funny friend, think twice before choosing a spooky clown. Except in very rare cases, you will end up heartbroken and possibly faces high fees for endangering the local wildlife and your neighbors.

Can Scare Clowns be Kept in an Urban or Suburban Setting?

If you ask a scare clown, they'll probably tell you, yes certainly yes. This is because they are hardwired to scare-- hence the breed name! They actually want to be in denser populated areas so they can terrify unsuspecting people and stalk stray ankmald easier. And that should answer the question enough for any sane person: no, scare clowns should be kept far from densely populated areas.

Ideally scare clowns do best in a large piece of land where they can lurk, frolic, and feed off of small wild animals such as rabbits, squirrels, and mice. Five or more acres of partially wooded land is ideal for containing a scare clown and also ensuring the land won't be depleted by their needs. Any smaller a space and you can expect to need to supplement their diet with store bought meat, else keep a very close eye on the dog!

I personally keep a group of scare clowns on a much smaller space, but it's lightly populated and densely wooded. It's a delicate balance, but as an experienced scare clown keeper I can just manage it. I don't recommend doing so for new keepers as you'll cause undue stress to yourself and your clowns.

Can Scare Clowns be Kept Indoors?

At this point it should be very clear that scares are not house clowns. However if you're like me and live in an area that is frequently dangerously cold, this may not be so clear a cut. It takes a lot of brave breeders and keepers to make sure that the population of scares out there are cared for and aren't left up to their own devices in the wild. What's more, keeping scares in a cold region keeps them at bay as its much easier for a young scare to escape and become invasive in a milder climate.

Keeping scares indoors during poor weather can actually help deter the worst of their nastier behavior. They won't ever be tame, but there comes a point in your relationship where they accept that you are just part of the environment and mean them no harm. This is when it gets really fun to keep scares as they will haughtily stalk by you while snooping around. They're a joy to watch even if the humor comes more from enjoying their sour moods than the lighthearted joy we expect from clowns.

Yes you can keep scares indoors, but consider it strictly a necessity. They should be free to come and go as they please, weather permitting. When stuck indoors, ensure they have their own space which is kept dark and quiet at all times. Avoid going into that space altogether. If you must go in, announce yourself gently and listen for them to find a hiding space before turning on the light and entering.

Lastly, be sure to pass by the spaces where they are at least once a day. Linger by areas where they like to lurk so they have ample time to jump scare you. While trapped indoors, they still need a lot of stimulation.

I hope that's cleared up a lot of questions anyone has had about potentially adopting a scare clown! They're a tough breed but they are clever, witty, and fun in their own very special way.

That anon said they’re 28 so likely can’t get professional experience now even though they want it. I have a degree but my life since then (and during) has been focused on just trying to struggle through mental and physical health issues, with the idea that in the future, after years of recovery, I’d be able to actually start on my career path- get a job as a zookeeper somewhere for a while, then further my education and climb up the ladder, maybe end up designing enclosures if I can. Im currently 26 and I’ll likely be around 28, or later, before I will reach that spot. Should I give up that plan?

No you should not give up on your passion!!! But you might need a different approach than you previously expected.

It's true that the typical zookeeper position is very labor intensive the job includes pushing heavy wheelbarrows, carrying heavy sacks of feed, raking enclosures, standing for long hours at a time, frequent stooping, bending, and more. Unfortunately not everyone is able to preform those duties. If you have issues with mobility I wouldn't recommend zookeeping as it will be painful for you.

But there are so many other animal related positions!! At a zoo specifically, there is commissary, education, office management, writing grants, resources and funding, and guest interaction positions that all allow you to be part of the mission of the zoo and be around the animals and these positions are typically much less demanding physically.

Outside of a zoo there's a huge array of animal related positions you could direct a sanctuary! You could fundraise for international animal foundations! You could be the HR person for your local fish and wildlife! You could look into research positions, or educational facilities! Museums! You could write grants! There's no end to the additional animal adjacent jobs out there-

and to be honesssssst... Zoo-keeping may be a well known and respected position in the public eye but there are alot of cons to a career in zookeeping. The pay is very low for the required education, getting a job even for highly qualified candidates is difficult due to literally hundreds and thousands of applications to one position that opens up, management often gives way too many tasks to keepers, plus the burnout of the job itself. The zookeeper crowd is honestly a pretty depressed bunch, in general. Obviously, the job is highly rewarding and it's a passion for the people who do it and choose their dream despite the many cons.

But back to physical recovery- I personally knew someone who had suffered severe back injuries after a car accident; she had to relearn how to walk and everything! A year after the incident, she was working at the sanctuary alongside myself. She of course had bad days where she needed help with some of the more physically demanding tasks but she was a valued and respected member of our team so it's absolutely still an option for you.

I regret not addressing that statement when I posted the original ask, anon if you're seeing this please don't give up your dream it's absolutely still possible to work with animals!

Animal Crossing Fish - Explained #176

Pinnipeds, the seals, sea lions, and walrus, are a fascinating group of mammals - they are one of the four groups that have returned to the ocean (the others being cetaceans (whales), sirenians (manatees & dugong), and the small subfamily of Lutrinae within the Mustelidae (otters)). There are plenty of other animals returning to the sea gradually (did you know the polar bear is considered a marine mammal?), but these are the big ones people mostly think of when you say "marine mammal". When we covered Phineas the Sea Lion, we spoke a lot about Pinnipeds as a group, but we left out the walrus, since Animal Crossing actually features this unique seal-relative as Wendell.

Wendell was an NPC in basically every iteration of Animal Crossing until New Horizons. If you fed him (anything, really), he would give you a pattern to use in your town. Obviously, in ACNH he's obsolete now that we have the Custom Designs Kiosk at the Able Sister's shop, as well as the patterns you get from Sable.

Wendell is clearly a walrus with his big fat body, flippers, and those long tusks. There is only one species of walrus - (Odobenus rosmarus) - the last member of the once-diverse family Odobenidae. This means that walruses are neither considered "eared seals" in Otariidae or "true seals" in Phocidae, although they share characteristics with both groups. Of the two other pinniped groups, walruses are more closely related to the eared seals, like sea lions, although they lack the external ears characteristic of the group. Still, walruses can bring their hind legs underneath them to waddle about like sea lions do on land, even though they swim more like a true seal. However, walruses are different from other seals in that they have a very unique method of feeding, using a suction-like maneuver - not all extinct species of walrus cousins had tusks. The lone walrus is an Arctic species, living life near the North Pole on sea ice and Northern shores.

I probably don't have to tell you that the walrus is MASSIVE. Adult males in the Pacific subspecies can grow to be between 7 to 11 feet (3.6m) in length and weigh up to 3,700 lbs (1700kg). This puts the walrus at #3 in the largest pinnipeds, only out-sized by the two species of elephant seal. We will consider Wendell at this larger size as a Pacific Walrus, which I guess explains his hunger for most anything edible. It's kind of a shame you can't cook for him in ACNH.

For the public, the walrus' tusks are its defining feature. For walruses, they are vitally important. Male walruses will use their tusks for display and to fight other males that may challenge them to the rights of a harem of females. As the walrus ages, its tusks get longer - so you can tell an old bull from a spritely juvenile fairly quickly, even if they are around the same size. Both females and males grow tusks, which should tip you off that they are used for more than sexual display. Walruses will use them for general defense, although, when you're that massive, you have very little to worry about. Female walruses often have to defend their babies from predators, like polar bears, since even the ferocity of a polar bear has trouble getting through the adult walrus' thick hide. They also use their tusks as tools, such as digging in ice to keep air holes clear or to help hoist their massive bulk out of the water onto the ice. All around those tusks are also extremely sensitive, bristly whiskers called vibrissae they guide along the seafloor to find their favorite foods.

And there you have it! Fascinating stuff, no?

Good evening Trainers! I arrived at Florio Island Airport pretty early this morning, and since then it's been a non-stop roller coaster of incredible experiences here in the Lental Region. Getting to work with wildlife experts and professional photographers has been a true blessing, and I couldn't help but start my own research right away. Please have a look at today's highlights!

I'll start with this little surprise: I was trying to capture a Heracross feeding off tree sap on camera, when this little Emolga decided to full-on photobomb me! Don't worry, I got my Heracross pictures, but this was too funny to ignore.

Look at these two little friends, aren't they just adorable? For a second I thought Scorbunny was gonna hog the fruit for itself, but it ended up sharing with its friend Grookey. Humans can learn a thing or two from Pokémon.

I've taken to calling them the Caterpie Quartet, and they look like they could burst into song at any time.

I saw this absolute sausage of a Wurmple rolling on the ground and I swear if this Wurmple asked me to commit a crime, I would do it without hesitation.

A scene I never thought possible: here we see a Liepard, a carnivore known for acts of cruelty and mischief, protecting two Pikipek chicks. Truly makes me wonder how this unlikely family came to be.

I think this picture is my favorite of them all. For a brief moment I felt like this Pikipek and I shared this really geniune connection. It had every reason to fear me and yet it... just returned my gaze with boundless curiosity. I hope we'll meet again, maybe we can become friends.

This is not hate but how can you support someone like pewdiepie after all hes done? I feel like it's wrong to put him with Jack because sometimes i feel like jacks his friend only because he feels he needs to because of the shoutout. Ok. Let’s talk. I was going to ignore this but you’re really persistent. This is the fifth ask you have sent me telling me the same thing but in different ways. Sad thing is that I just started this blog, I can’t believe this keeps happening to me in every fandom I go to. Some of you need to understand something about Felix.

Yes, I’m aware he did a lot of questionable things. And no, he’s not a white supremacist. He’s not racist. And he’s not homophobic or whatever Twitter/the media is saying about him these days. I might not know him personally but I’ve been watching Felix since the very beginning and even with this little info about his life I can tell the difference between some things people choose to ignore about him. He’s a very honest person and he always tells everyone the information they need to know about him, whether it is about his personal life or his pewdiepie persona. His real actual friends (Jack, Ken, Mark -also good people, and whether you like it or not, Jack is one of them) held him accountable for the things he did and also made sure to assure everyone that the ‘Pewdiepie’ personality is totally different than his real-self. They confirmed he’s not any of his mistakes. Meaning the ‘Pewdiepie’ personality got too far and the facade/entertainment mask fell off of him when he made those mistakes. This was not only a lesson for him but it showed him places that needed real improvement in his life, something we all need sometimes. We all fall short in understanding the potential harm we can do to others and we easily face the temptation to define ourselves by ignoring those crucial parts. What Felix needed to learn was self-awareness. And he’s now constantly working on it so he can objectively evaluate himself when it comes to those things. Some people face this alone and privately but, him, as an internet sensation had to do it on camera.

Pay attention to what his actual friends say about him. Jack himself said it:

‘It is strange, all the stuff that gets said about him, it’s kind of weird to see that being said about a friend of yours. To hear his actual thoughts on it…people like to take things every which way and twist things all over the place. I don’t know how he does it, with that many people on you and that much scrutiny on you constantly. I think I would have lost my mind by now.’

I’m also aware he’s a white rich guy and that he’s a step up on the scale from me and other people but I’m sure that if I dig long enough, I’m going to find something about certain actors/actresses/musicians (that most likely you and other people love) as well. Meaning they’re human at the end of the day and they might make mistakes too. Felix is the same case here.

It was dumb to say certain things and do certain things? YES. I held him accountable when he did those things. He didn’t need to say or do the things he did. It was irresponsible, harmful and immature from his part. However, he’s willing to make a change and work on it so this is something I can appreciate.

He did the fivver video. This is his statement:

‘I make videos for my audience. I think of the content that I create as entertainment, and not a place for any serious political commentary. I know my audience understand that and that is why they come to my channel. Though this was not my intention, I understand that these jokes were ultimately offensive. I think it’s important to say something and I want to make one thing clear: I am in no way supporting any kind of hateful attitudes.’

He said the ‘n’ word. He sincerely apologized. This is his statement:

‘I hate how I personally fed into that part of gaming. It was something that was said in the heat of the moment. I said the worst word I could possibly think of and it slipped out. I’m not going to make excuses to why I did it because there are not excuses for it. I’m dissappointed in myself because it seems like I learned nothing from controversies. And it’s not like I think I can do or say whatever I want and get away with it. I’m just an idiot but that doesn’t make what I said or how I said it okay. It was not okay. I’m really sorry If I offended, hurt or disappointed anyone with all of this. Being in the position I am, I should know better. I know I can’t keep messing up like this and I owe it to my audience and to myself to do better than this. I really want to improve and better myself, not just for me but for anyone that looks up to me or anyone that is influenced by me and that’s how I wanna move forward. Away from this.’

Sincerely apologized for it without making a fake act or fake crying for sympathy.

Never asked for sympathy or support because he's willing to make a real change in behavior.

Realized some people are influenced by him and worked to be better for them and himself.

Chose to be himself and stand his ground on an important matter to make his audience understand he was taking this as serious as it is.

Understood he gave ammunition that feeds some people the wrong idea and didn’t try to rationalize it because he knows he should take accountability for it.

Here you can see Felix takes this seriously. He’s not messing around with what happened. He takes it with the responsibility it should be taken.

And this is enough for me. I’m sorry if you think Felix needs to do a blood sacrifice to prove himself but that’s just not how it works.

We all have said or done things we are not proud of. He did many of them and trust me, he was held accountable for them. How? Here’s a list of the consequences:

He was part of the original content network YouTube Red, and was affiliated with Disney’s MakerStudios brand where he had his own network. Disney cut all ties with him.

They cancelled his YouTube Red show, where a lot of people put big effort (not only the participants but the crew members). You can see that this was important for him. It was not just some random ass show.

Was held accountable for his actions and it was made known every mistake he did. Every single one.

Received the proper criticism from the media, his fans and his own friends.

He also received harsh backlash and hate from the situation.

Lost support from followers, celebrities, friends and companies.

He’s constantly attacked by people and media outlets on a daily basis. Some people even fabricate false stories about him.

He faced the proper consequences for those actions. Let him move on already.

You also listed a bunch of stuff in one of your asks, things he’s NEVER done. Those are things the media has made you and everyone else believe he did but he didn’t. This is why you should never believe any random media headline, you need to actually do your own research to see if that’s true or not. Here are the things you said he did (none of these are true):

No, he hasn’t hired people to say the ‘n’ word. This is not true at all.

No, he doesn’t promote Adolf Hitler speeches and anti-semitic cartoons. Disney did once tho.

No, he’s not homophobic. At all. He was actually evicted from his own flat because his previous landlord is an actual homophobic person and called him and his crew the ‘f’ word. He decided to move far away from the guy.

No, he didn’t perform the Nazi heil. Never.

No, he didn’t pay the ‘Jesus’ guy to hold a sign that says ‘Hitler did nothing wrong’ this is a lie. Someone else did it and the media said it was him to cause more controversy. He paid him to say ‘Subscribe to Jacksepticeye’.

No, he’s not racist. For this, his content would’ve to be filled with racial jokes and actual intentional attacks daily. His content is not like that, trust me, the most he does is play with some tambourine all the time. He’s said the ‘n’ word (something he admitted was terrible, apologized for it and took responsibility for his words), yes but someone that feels as bad and ashamed as he does, does not equal to what an actual racist is and how they act.

No, he didn’t dress up in a Klansman robe. He never did that. This is also false information about him.

No, he doesn’t bully his friends or enables bullying. I don’t know where the media got that one but I can assure you they’ve got no friends if they think his interactions with his own friends are ‘bullying’.

No, he doesn’t joke about crises happening around the world. AT ALL. He constantly raises money for them (and gives his own money as well) to different causes such as the Wildfires Emergency Appeal, Team Trees (to plant 20 million trees), St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (for kids with diseases such as cancer), Crisis Text Line, National Alliance on Mental Illness (a group that helps those suffering from mental illness), CRY (a GoFundMe campaign to help Indian children living in poverty), World Wildlife Fund (dedicated to the reduction of mankind’s environmental impact), RED (did a whole 7 hour livestream with friends to help people fighting HIV/AIDS in Africa), Charity: Water (a non-profit that provides drinking water to developing nations), Save the Children (for underprivileged kids to give them better education, healthcare, better economic opportunities), he recently raised $106,000 for the BLM movement donating the contributions to the family of George Floyd and other victims of police violence, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Hope for Holt, Malaria No More, Oceana, SpecialEffect, War Child, etc. Does this sound like someone who makes fun of real problems happening around the globe? No. And no, he hasn’t made fun of those causes either.

No, he doesn’t make fun of mental illnesses. He talks about it with the proper respect and delicacy it deserves. He constantly adresses mental health, shares resources for viewers who may be struggling and talks about the importance of being aware and getting legitimate help. Where are you taking these facts from?

No, he doesn’t support China’s police brutality. He was BANNED from China for critizing the president and the country’s treatment of Hong Kong’s anti-government protests. How hard is it to watch the real video instead of trusting some Susan from Twitter?

No, he has NEVER disrespected Japanese culture. Felix loves Japan and respects their culture. He always treats the people and the place with utter respect.

He’s not a white supremacist or a secret Nazi. Are you insane? He’s said it himself ‘f*** anyone who is racist and anyone who is a white nationalist. That’s not what I’m about. And that’s not what my channel has been about either.’ Maybe if you think about it, the media painted him that way and people decided to go with it because they don’t actually watch his videos. The number of accusations and stories are insane and ridiculous. Have you ever watched one of his videos? Ever? Because if you would’ve, you would know none of these things are true.

No, he doesn’t encourage kids/teens to see and follow Nazi ethics. He recommended a channel that does anime reviews (he didn’t know the channel had pro white-supremacy videos). You’re accusing him of that for not checking the thousand-something videos said channel has because he liked one anime review? This is reaching to a whole new degree. You could’ve randomly watched the same anime review vid, does that make you a Nazi as well? And NO, he didn’t wear an Iron Cross, he was wearing a Georgian Bolnisi cross. I don’t think you’re a real Jacksepticeye fan if you think he’s sticking up for him only because of a shout-out that happened years ago. Extend your perspective in this. He knows him in real-life. He’s his best friend. He can tell he’s not a bad person. This is not a hard thing to figure out.

Also, you forgot to put the anon option in one of your asks, so I know who you are. Weren’t you joking about WW3, using the ‘r’ word to fight with your followers and making fun of the BLM movement a few months ago on your twitter account? It might not look like it’s possible but we’ve also made and are capable of making some of the same mistakes too. The difference is that some of you hide behind the ‘it’s just humor to cope with life’ gen z card. Joking about a serious important movement is harmful as well, hope you can learn that.

I can’t tell you how to emotionally react to his content, however I can advise that if it bothers you that much you should remove yourself from the environment that revolves around him (if you even watch his videos which I highly doubt) if you’re not willing to give him a chance. You also need to remember that forgiveness is private and personal, just because you don't see his content and can't see that change doesn't mean it's not happening. There’s power in understanding.

Hi! So, i have an actual genuine question, but i really don't know how to word it. The jist of it though, is this: what's your opinion on the 'horror farms'? Like, the ones shown in 'documentaries', where the animals ARE treated terribly. Cows raised on corn and chickens that can't walk, that kinda stuff. Like, should i stay away from that meat, or does it actually matter at all? If I'm misinformed, please let me know, I'm just trying to educate myself!

It’s fine, ask away. I’m very blunt myself so just saying stuff works best I always find.

Horror farms. Yea I wanted some of those shows and honestly how would they stay in business? We have animal welfare checks and health inspectors that are by law allowed to come in and check any time they want too in anywhere they wish to see. Something they don’t like. They shut you down. Normally they give you a written warning with what they want fixed and a date to have it done by in which time they return to check and heaven help you if you didn’t do it.

We are under such tight scrutiny with health and animal care that what I’ve seen on some of those shows cannot be happening with the systems we have in place, that leads me to believe that what they show are places that do not have the same guidelines or systems.

That being said thou there are some factors that are true but are grossly exaggerated, let’s take the cattle eating corn. Yes. They do. Dairy need high energy foods to make milk otherwise they lose condition and that’s when you see cattle that look like all bones. Putting aside illness. Cattle are like athletes, they need proper nutrition to work and produce at peek levels. Corn is a high energy food. It’s also a useful crop, some of us grow it. Sell the seed grain which is the only part edible by humans. Then use the rest as cattle feed. We mulch it and mix it with other food stuffs for the cattle. That also works as a finishing feed for beef. We can also grow a fast growing type of corn I just call cattle corn. It’s smaller. Bitter and tough. We tend to mulch everything for the animals. In our case we silo it and ferment it for them. Every day. Two times in our case we have an automatic feeder that which the girls are in the barn it goes around and drops a pre set amount of feed in front of the cow to eat while we milk. This system has been in place since the 90s. Old but serves well. Our cattle have enjoyed it since they came in the line. Corn doesn’t kill. Same as fast food. If you eat too much you can get issues but when it’s coupled with exercise and roughage the cattle do well. As for beef. The pure corn diet is rarely the case because like candy. You can’t go long term on that. You get so many issues. That’s a short term diet for fattening up before market. Think of it like bulking up because we get paid by weight. But that animal is not fed that diet all it’s life. It would not survive on pure corn. The vast majority are grass fed till the last few weeks when they are moved to lots and fed up.

Now as for chickens. I’m not a big scale chicken farmer. What we do is chickens and turkeys for ourselves. But since my family is huge we have plenty. My sister does this area these days. But we all pitch in. Now. What you see in places like wal mart is the massive chicken breasts. Those are often from the chickens that only love about six to eight weeks. Called a Cornish cross. We’ve tried them before and honestly. You have to butcher them soon because if you let them go longer that’s when you see the issues of being unable to walk and sickness. They are bred to be fast growing and huge. Truthfully this is what the markets want. Lots of meat for little cost. As terrible as it sounds. Think of it this way. You get a bunch of chickens this month you can be eating next month or shortly after. Feed cost is low and they grow big. I’m really torn on it myself because for people that have little food these animals could be a massive difference in food security. Yet their hearts and lungs give out due to the rate at which they grow. To feed people they are amazing. But for the animals themselves to have any quality of life, it’s gotta be short. We tend to have longer living animals that usually grow to fall and more laying hens. I can’t say there is right or wrong on this topic because again. It’s easy to say “ that’s terrible they live so short and I’m gonna eat something that lives longer” when you can afford to wait and put extra into the feed costs. But for some people that don’t have any money to spare and hardly any food.. what right do we have to demand they eat something someone else feels more ethical. I’m not going to judge it. It’s just not something I would raise personally.

Basically. If you live in a place that has long cold winters. The fresh strawberries in the store are not local.. hence they have been shipped in from somewhere, maybe go with something like potato’s. If you don’t live near an ocean and you want fresh seafood. Maybe not the right choice, you gotta see what farms are around you. Goats? Sheep? Cattle? Or your in a place that has loads of seafood and wildlife but few farms. Hence. Seafood and wild game might be better. You know your area better then me. Or you should learn it. Then decide from that what is best for local foods. I know it’s not easy to meet local farmers but you can go to a butcher shop and talk with them. You can get a good feel from a well run work environment that way and they usually won’t buy from poorly run places or stop buying if something about the animals isn’t right. I find a new tactic these days is buying into something as a group. We’ve been having these. A few people ask to buy a steer and each buy a share. Which they divy up after the butcher is done. I’ve seen groups of seven people all buy into one animal and I think that’s great. Nothing goes to waste and they all communicate amoung themselves to what they want and sometimes pop up to see how things are going. That’s an option too. Same as talking with smaller farms and ordering the finished meat too. You figure what your comfortable trying and if that’s just going to Walmart. Then you go there. Look past the labels because really. Grain fed organic beef in one freezer isn’t gonna be much different from the no name in another area <<. Grain fed means corn usually btw!. Then maybe work your way into farmers markets and buying there to someday maybe buying right from the farmer yourself. Good luck!

There's a huge contingent to people heading towards punta Gorda again now they're getting wiped out again by Max and yes it's warlock and they smoke the whole crap out of them this morning and last night too there's about 5 again .5 again our estimate in other words instead of two septillion it's three supreme which is not 5 but he's tired and it is well almost and they're going to Boston too so our estimates a little low and we raised it to 200 septillion and said they lost 100 septillion this morning so someone screaming five at me so stop doing that s*** and I agree that's kind of bothersome but now these groups are coming in and they're handling people very badly they're more like in the screaming and yelling at people on the way in get out of the way f*** you they'll say that to you soon just roll it over you that's what happened to Bechtel by the way a cubic zirconia lady I don't think that was Sherry and I looked at her and said wow you are a moron Great Ghost yeah that's the whole thing then it's bja on the back of the thing I forget about later he's a massive a****** again so it's absolutely true I know that too I'm sorry Frank I couldn't stand it they wanted to make like five dollars or something they do it all the time you started fighting and he told max butting in and I said this we got a hold of breath they're wicked nasty not for a second okay these assholes are on everyone still and they're at the gate we are shooting them.... So there's about 500 trillion they're trying to get in right now and it's going up again it's going to be in the septillions very shortly and the blockade is weak so we don't have a great excuse for stopping them and he says yes we do camera and Godzilla you simply start the races up and somehow they get sucked into it literally and figuratively out there in the sea and grabs another so we're going to do that it's going to be a cesspool and it's going to attract wildlife from everywhere and it'll start feeding the big one and it's the Kraken and it's the one that goes on to the ones legs up there the upper Midwest I'm going to start doing that too after those two are up he says immediately after and we can get the base in prior to I'm moving right now, what kind of doing something like that this is a great idea and we're going to use it she's happy again she's got mad this morning and sit there moping around trying to put the dumb stuff in his dresser I need some money everybody did the exercises screw these people they're messing with us

I'm excited about this project it's Cajun come out and help us with lawsuits and he says how according off a court and cordon off a corridor for the mail and we can't do it until Thor Freya Olympus approved but usually they improve my stuff and even if it's ahead of time and I'm saying it's it's okay to try it once and see what kind of heat we get because we need it and I said that too my son said the last two sentences if I say we need heat I'm going to go ahead and try and get that approved

Chapter II

"It's not right Eloise!"

"I know, but there is nothing you can do to change their minds."

"Why can't they just see that you're amazing? You and Aunt."

"I don't know. People tend to believe words rather than see with their own eyes."

"Well that's stupid."

Stomping away from the tailor's shop, Ames vents his frustions which he believed should've been Red's own. Unfortunately, he was alone in that regard due to Eloise being immune to the way others viewed her or her family. Ames sighed, though exasperated, partitally due to the fact that Red's words started to fully sink in once he cooled his head. This isn't the first time he took offense to the mistreatment of the girl, and surely it wouldn't be his last. He hated not being able to speak up for his dear friend and call out those who grumbled about her residency or proximity. He felt useless.

He felt powerless.

Ames came to an abrupt halt. With Red being so close behind, she couldn't stop herself in time before bumping into his back. Her gaze moves upwards, confusion carved on to her face as to why he suddenly stopped walking. They were away from the village square now, having almost made it to the edge of Lenghant.

Ames turned to Eloise, laying firm hands on her narrow shoulders. Eloise found his eyes, a dark earthy brown that seems to always put her at ease with their playful shine and warm gaze. Her irises scanned the rest of his face. Ames would be what you'd consider attractive.

Sharp jawline, tanned skin, curly dark locks, a lean, but fit body that catches the eyes of other girls her age. He was the walking definition of tall, dark, and handsome. It was a wonder how he wasn't already promised to another. She guessed it was because no matter his looks, Ames John Lewis will always be just that. Himself. And Red certainly hoped that would never change.

Nonetheless, the tightening of his fingers on her shoulder brought her back to reality. The expression on the male's face makes her wonder what he could be contemplating in that brain of his.

Eventually he opens his mouth to speak, "Eloise,"

Her eyes widen. For Ames only calls her by name when he is truly serious about a particular subject; and a serious Ames is a rare sight, his eyes became hard but still held a look of deep concern, "it pains me that I cannot even do the most simplest of things at times, and it pains me even more when I can't do anything for you! I hate it, y'know. I hate how they are biased against you just because you're different. Just because they don't know you. I wish I could just-" Ames clenched his teeth, fearing he would say more than he planned, but his voice was so raw with emotion to the verge of breaking. He felt so strongly about not being able defend Red- to defend her mother, whom he also cared for as his own. It tore at him, the ignorance of others.

"I just want to protect you. Please, for the love of everything good in this world, let me protect you!"

Red blinked hearing such an honest confession. She knew of Ames' feelings of frustration and anger but not to this extent. Slowly, she reached her hand to brush the knuckles of his larger one on her left shoulder. At this his grip loosened to not dig his nails into the wool of her cloak and accidentally bruise the person he cared for most.

Red took his hands in her own and brung them to her lips in appreciation. A thin blush crept up the boy's neck and dusted his cheeks, but said nothing.

"I'm grateful," she whispered, "to have you in my life, Ames. You already do so much for me by simply being my friend and for that, I must be truly blessed. Thank you, Ames. Please continue to protect me in a way that no one else can."

A beautiful smile, one of adoration and love enveloped Red's lips as she gazed at her lifelong friend and companion.

Ames has been taken with Red from the start, and didn't notice as his body leaned forward in hopes of stealing a kiss with the one who stole his heart, and share a sweet moment of utter bliss.

Unfortunately, this wish did not come true.

From high above, a white dove flew down quickly gaining the attention of the girl in scarlet wool.

"Ames, would you look at that."

Why should he? His inner self questioned as he sighed at the fact that the moment between them has passed and gone. The bird perched itself on a low hanging branch, and chirped a greeting that the girl had returned.

The rumors about Eloise communicating with wildlife and being accurate in regards to the weather were indeed true, but that did not make her a witch, much less evil.

I'm sorry, was I interrupting you?

The dove asked.

"Not at all. What brings you here?" Eloise inquired the white bird. The pure creature tells Red of her hunt for food for her young ones. From this point on, Red ends up conversing with the bird. She introduces Ames and he even asks the female dove what's it like as a dove to which she responds with a question of her own that Eloise translates:

What's it like to be a human?

Ames laughs, "Not at all what it's talked up to be."

They continue their talk with the mother bird while looking around for anything she can digest to feed to her babies later on.

The sun has risen to mid-day, and bled into mid-afternoon by the time the dove bids her farewell and thanks to the two humans who helped her own her way.

"I should probably get going too, before Mother gets upset with me for being gone too long." Ames voiced aloud.

Eloise turns her head in alarm. "Did you tell her you're with me?" She knew Ames' mother did not care for her son to be hanging around the village outcast, and Ames' mother- Red began to pale- she can get quite violent with the right amount of booze and barely any reason to take out her anger and frustions on her dear friend.

"Ames-"

"I'll be fine, Eloise." He interrupted, already knowing what the sixteen-year-old would say.

Eloise closed her mouth but glanced worriedly at her friend by her side. Her eyes raking over his form in wonder of where the mad woman would strike him next. Her heart clenches at the thought. In the next few moments, both parties remain silent, but soon Eloise found her voice again, somehow with the strength not to waver.

"You say you want to protect me," she began, facing Ames to look him in the eye with the same intensity as waves crashing against an earthy shore; she swallowed the lump that threatened form in her throat, "but how come you won't let me protect you?"

One beat. Two beats. Three. The beating drums of dead silence pounded their ears. Red waited patiently for an answer though she knew she may never get one.

Ames didn't say a word a he reached over to pull the scarlet hood of her cloak over her head. He then pressed his lips to her temple. It was such a soft action that Eloise thought she imagined it. Only the sound of their hearts beating, and the overlapping voices of the forest creatures, filled the space around them until Ames spoke.

"You already protect me in a way that no one else can."

This is a wonderful way to spice up the whole camping trip. Dryer lint makes surprisingly good kindling for starting campfires. Begin collecting dryer lint a few weeks before your trip. Hang up a grocery bag beside your dryer and collect the lint in it. Using this for your kindling will save you time looking for it, and it will work even better than any kindling that you do find. If you are interested in camping alone or with friends, make sure you have prepared an emergency kit. Depending on the location, the kit may have extra items, but the basic items should be there. You may want to pack bear repellent or antivenom. Educate yourself about the area that you are camping in, and know what hazards you could encounter. There may be spiders or bears near you that could pose a threat. Every camping area has its dangers. Teach your kids about camping safety before you bring them camping. Check out the plants that elicit poison ivy to better prepare for the dangers of camping. For your first trip camping, avoid straying too far from home. You could experience a number of problems, such as equipment failure, and wish to cut the trip short. Novice campers sometimes don't pack enough food or clothing, which is a problem if they are far away. All sorts of things can happy the first time you go camping. It's better for mishaps to occur close to home. Keep pictures of your children on you if they are comping with you. In the unfortunate event of an accident, this will help you have some form of identification for seeking assistance. Your should always have current pictures of your children with you, but this is especially true when camping. Be very aware of the place where you have decided to set up. Refrain from setting your camper up next to bees nests or breeding grounds for safety. To keep the bugs off of your skin, wear garments that cover your skin especially if plant life is abundant. Insect repellent will also help to keep the insects away. A great camping tip that everyone should use is to bring along an extra utility knife. A utility knife is very convenient to carry while you are camping, so make sure to bring a spare in case one is lost. A simple camping tip everyone should know is to build shelter during daylight. It's hard and frustrating to set up a tent in the dark. You need to make a fire or use a flashlight. This should be done when the sun is present so that you can use natural light. When going camping, bring some duct tape with you. While tents are generally well-made, it is not unusual for them to tear. Duct tape can seal up your tent and keep you dry, especially when the weather is not cooperating with you like you thought it would. Don't forget waterproof matches in a camping survival kit. Keep them in a container that is airtight. You also can create waterproof matches yourself by taking regular ones and dipping them in nail polish or paraffin. Provide your own caddy for the matches by storing them in a plastic medicine bottle or 35mm film container. When your camping trip is over, make sure to leave a clean campsite behind. Bring enough garbage bags for all the trash. Don't forget to pack up your leftovers. The only things you should really be leaving behind at your campsite are your footprints. Don't forget the toilet paper. If you don't happen to have toilets at your site, your only option will be to go in the woods. Rather than using leaves as a substitute, just bring your own toilet paper. Make sure that you take into consideration all safety precautions while camping. This means you're going to have to stay away from various forms of wildlife that may be in the area you're camping in. That cute little squirrel may not be the friendly cute companion that it seems to be. Obviously, stay away from larger animals like bears and never feed them. Stick with food safety when you camp. Keep food in containers that can't get water in them, and bags that are airtight. Keep your food in coolers that are insulated. Prevent cross-contamination of raw and cooked foods by storing them separately. And always wash your hands before touching food.
