thinking about how jupe rarely celebrated a birthday of his own after gordy’s home, how even at his kid’s parties he was sometimes out of it / dissociating, and how he tried his best to stay away from balloons and had a panic attack whenever one popped near him.

Tw: murder, drugs, alcoholism.

BIRTH NAME: jude bordelon AGE: thirty eight DATE OF BIRTH: 22nd of january 1986  PLACE OF BIRTH: elm grove, louisiana, usa ETHNICITY:  anglo-saxon & cajun GENDER:  cis male PRONOUNS: him/his ORIENTATION: heterosexual / heteroromantic RELIGION: atheist OCCUPATION: mechanic and owner of pitstop
PERSONALITY.
POSITIVE TRAITS: determined & pensive NEGATIVE TRAITS: unsociable & gruff MYERS BRIGGS: ISTJ
THE RUNDOWN.
Jude was born in Louisiana in 1985, in a town so small and insignificant to the world around it. But what was significant was the bayou’s that surrounded it due to it’s crawfish population that kept the locals in job. Catch crawfish and go to Church, there wasn’t much else for Jude to do as a kid. Well, anything that wouldn’t get him in trouble with his alcoholic father, who at the same time ran tight-ship protestant household. The man was full of contradictions, but you wouldn’t tell him that. Jude & his mother worked hard to stay on his good side, but his big brother was not so willing to conform. Donny left the home when he turned 18, and kept in touch with the family for a few years after that, but the letters and calls would eventually become scattered.
Jude spent most of his time out of the house once he was a teenager. His father when in the depths of his addiction would refere to him as Judas, and started blaming the families financial issues on him. Not only would this leave Jude to dislike his own name, but begin to wonder himself if he was a curse in this world. But his mother would always remind him that wasn’t true. Jude would always say he’d never met a human more kind, more pure than his mother. However one night after coming home from partying with some friends out on a boat out on the water, he would learn from police that the one good thing in his had been taken away from him by the hands of father. Jude would be freshly 18 at the time, and alone in his family home after his fathers arrest. He couldn’t stay any longer, and stole his old mans motorcycle and left the town he once called home, now even more unbearable to be in. Jude would spend most of his years living and partying just out of Baton Rouge. Under ground rock bars, countless women, and a lot of drugs. It wouldn’t be till Jude was 30 when he would land his dream job, taking ownership of a mechanics. There was a catch, he had to move to california. Very much a world away from the underground environment he lived in. But coming to Aurora Bay wouldn’t only provide him with his dream job, but his dream girl. However it would prove to be a more complicated than just that... ...Enter Astrid Hansley.
They met at the Reef Bar, and Jude only had plans to bed her before they got to talking. A night of drug infused passion lead to another, and another, and another. Under the spell of whatever he was taking, and Astrid herself, Jude had become addicted. Absolutely engrossed in one another, each night it seemed uncertain where one ended and the other began. Astrid was his everything, she ran through his veins and consumed his thoughts. But of course, the high would always lead to a comedown. And the words of his father, judas, would ring through his ears. When sober, the cracks in their relationship would form. Unruly, and highly emotional, they’d fight until they could forget their issues and get back into that hazed headspace again.
It wouldn’t be long till Jude had brought her to live in his rundown apartment. But it didn’t really matter, the mattress on the floor was heaven on earth on when she was there. But of course, when there is heaven that implies the presence of hell lingering not far behind. Jude hadn’t planned to propose when he did, as most of his major decisions lately were made when he wasn’t in the most lucid state of mind. But Astrid said yes, despite their euphoria that would follow the fall would be even harder. Finally, they would start to acknowledge the destructiveness of their love, and Astrid would leave for New York. Jude stayed behind, and when she returned he tried his best to steer clear. Angry, heart broken, and still very much in love with a woman he knew he couldn’t survive being with, Jude worked hard to become clean from drugs. Nowerdays, Jude still runs the shop. He enjoys a good drink, but hasn’t touched any other narcotics. His partying days are very much behind him, and often keeps to himself. Focusing all his attention on work, and riding his bike, Jude had begun to feel a sense of calm in his life for the first time in a long time.

J/D: things you said with too many miles between us
15) Things you said with too many miles between us from this post!
A present-day Josh/Donna fic for you!
July 2021
Josh stirs when his phone vibrates, and he orients himself to his surroundings. He’d fallen asleep on the couch at some point during the post-debate coverage after ensuring that the girls went to bed, and he was waiting on Donna’s phone call to debrief. Josh attempts to reach into his pack pocket to retrieve the vibrating phone. He manages to do so without stirring the dog, whose head is resting on Josh’s chest as she sleeps, letting out barely audible barks and huffs as an ndication that she’s dreaming.
“Hi,” Josh answers, his free hand moving to gently stroke the fur on top of Sadie’s head.
“Hi,” Donna parrots back.
The sound of her voice still makes him feel butterflies, even after twenty-three years of knowing her and almost fourteen years of marriage. He smiles to himself at the thought, taking another moment to realize exactly how lucky he is. “It’s quiet,” Josh notes. “Thought you’d all be celebrating.”
“We are. I just wanted to call you first so you could get to bed.”
“All the post-debate coverage is calling it a standout performance from Senator Sam Seaborn,” Josh notes. “I’m not surprised, but they sounded a little stunned, although I’m not sure why.”
Donna lets out a quiet laugh, and he has a clear vision in his mind of her leaning against a wall, smiling and looking down at the floor as she grins. “Sam did an incredible job. He was probably the most prepared out of all of them when it came to healthcare and social security. Foreign policy needed a little bit of work, but…”
“But he ran away with it,” Josh finishes. “Donna, you don’t have to be modest. I know what a big part you played in this.”
“Sam worked hard,” Donna insists.
“Of course he did,” Josh agrees, “but you worked just as hard, if not harder.”
“You’re right. I did. I think this is a turning point. It's still early, and we're narrowing down the Democratic playing field but... you know.”
Josh does know. He doesn't say anything further, so as not to tempt fate, as Toby would put it, but he absolutely understands what Donna's hinting at. Josh stretches and yawns, trying not to let on that he’s as tired as he is. “I let the girls stay up for the debate, but they’ve been in bed for the last hour or so.”
“I was going to ask you how they were, considering the only updates I’ve received in the last twenty-four hours were dog photos. I was beginning to wonder if you remembered we had daughters,” Donna teases.
“Well, our eldest is going through a Taylor Swift phase,” Josh starts.
“She knew the words to what was likely Taylor Swift’s entire discography before kindergarten, and you’re just now realizing this?”
“Songwriting,” Josh clarifies.
Donna lets out a half-laugh, half-groan. “Is it the kid from marching band again? Or… still? I don’t know which is the most accurate way to finish that sentence.”
“I think it would be 'again', but nope. Apparently, this is just your run-of-the-mill preteen self-expression stuff.” Josh shifts slightly as Sadie lets out a low growl in her sleep, kicking her front and back paws as though she’s dreaming of chasing something. “I think I heard the same chord progression on the guitar for about six hours straight today.”
“Excellent, looking forward to it,” Donna says.
“Nora spent her morning drafting a plan to convince me to get another dog,” Josh starts.
“Absolutely not,” Donna interjects before Josh can finish the sentence.
“I told her no!” Josh laughs in disbelief. “I do have some willpower, you know. Then she decided she wanted to start a dog walking business, because if she earned the money for the dog maybe it would sway me.”
“I’ve only been gone twenty-four hours, please tell me Leah hasn’t asked for a piercing or declared a college major,” Donna jokes.
Josh scratches Sadie behind the ear. “She asked me to take her to that little used bookstore so she could spend her birthday money.”
“How’d she fare?”
“She currently has two stacks of books in the corner of her room as she debates whether she wants to spend the rest of her money on another shelf or trade in some other books to make room,” Josh explains. “She also considered using the money for a custom Mets jersey with her name on it, but decided against it.”
“Too expensive?”
“No special characters,” Josh says. “She didn’t like the way Moss-Lyman looked without the hyphen.”
“I’d ask how Sadie is, but I think I know exactly how her day went thanks to your efforts,” Donna says.
“I’m but a humble servant of man’s best friend,” Josh jokes. He’s noticed something in Donna’s tone as the conversation has unfolded, the hesitant ‘we need to talk’ undercurrent of everything she says, so he decides to be the first to dive in. “What’s on your mind, Donna?”
Donna sighs. “So I was approached by Bryce Palmer from the DNC today. Apparently, there’s something brewing with Congressman Hanover and some allegations of impropriety.”
“Hanover? Like the Wisconsin fifth, Hanover?”
“The very same,” Donna confirms. “Problem is, they don’t have a viable Democrat for a special election should he resign. So they came to me to take my temperature on the whole thing.”
Josh can’t help but let the wheels in his brain start turning. The idea of Donna flipping a typically Republican district in Wisconsin sounds incredible. If anyone’s capable of it, it’s Donna. But he’s learned over the years to let Donna process before giving an opinion, so instead of rattling off all the possibilities, he simply listens.
“I told them I’m running Sam’s campaign right now,” Donna explains. “But they really want me to consider a run in the fifth next go-around. Or… you know, should there be a special election sometime between the general and the midterms.”
“You thinking about it?” Josh asks.
He hears Donna take a deep breath, then let out a long exhale. “A little? I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet. Don’t start your ‘Donna, I’ve been setting this up for you for years’ speech,” she warns.
“Wasn’t gonna. Just listening.”
“I know you’d be at your laptop searching for properties in the Wisconsin fifth right now if Sadie weren’t asleep on you,” Donna says. “I can tell if you put me on speakerphone, you know.”
Josh sheepishly taps the speakerphone button, putting a temporary pause on his search that he had already started, just as Donna had predicted. “You’re not on speakerphone.”
There’s a pause for a moment, and Josh can sense her hesitation. “Flipping a district is a lot of work.”
“It is,” Josh agrees.
“I also don’t know if I’m ready to jump right into another campaign after this,” Donna continues. “It’s been a lot of time away from all of you. If I stay away too much longer, Caroline’s going to become a YouTube sensation whose material is almost entirely inspired by the absence of her mother. Nora’s going to be running an animal shelter out of the garage, and Leah will have either a Beauty and the Beast sized library or a podcast with her Grandpa Jed, it’s a toss-up.”
“That’s a little dramatic, don’t you think?” Josh asks, holding back laughter.
“I’ve been away a lot,” Donna insists. “Things change while I'm away. I miss all of you.”
Josh smiles. “We miss you, too.” He has the instinct to tell her not to dismiss the idea out of hand, to give it some thought before she gives her answer. But despite her hesitation, Josh knows there’s a small part of Donna that’s considering it, and that’s enough for him. “Get back to the party. We’ll talk about it when you get home.”
They say their goodbyes and I love yous after confirming Donna’s flight details. Josh wakes the dog and heads up the stairs toward the bedroom, already plotting out the strategy for winning in the Wisconsin fifth.
Hypothetically, of course.

Isn't It Cliché? Chapter 2
Read chapter one here or on Ao3
Pairing: DaiSuga (Haikyuu!!)
Word Count: 2627
Warnings: very brief mention of alcohol and drug consumption, but nothing explicit
A/N: sorry for the late update, I know I said I would update regularly but life got in the way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I hope you enjoy this chapter!
The university building was huge, way bigger than his old one. Students were chattering away around him, some of them already deep into writing papers, exchanging notes, and sipping coffee. He missed this exact feeling of uni during break. He hadn’t had too many assignments due to his transfer, and the ones he did have were easy tasks, so he had the entire summer to do whatever he wanted, which was odd to him since he was so used to either working or revising during break.
He took out his timetable he thankfully remembered to print a few weeks prior, making his way to the classroom in which his first-class would take place.
“Oh, hi!” He heard a somewhat familiar voice call from behind him. He turned around to see who was talking. He was faced with a man he met on orientation day, whose name he had promptly forgotten. His hair was black and gelled up to the extreme, making him look like a rooster with some bedhead.
“Sugawara, right?” He asked, flashing him a toothy grin. “We met at orientation, I’m Kuroo Tetsurou.” Suga nodded, remembering how he charmed every single person at orientation. He had originally gone to welcome the newcomers since he was a second year, but once Suga said he was transferring and found out that he also studied Japanese Studies, Kuroo happily obliged to answer any questions about the university he might have.
“Ah yeah, apologies for forgetting your name, I won’t forget it again,” Suga said as he shook Kuroo’s hand in greeting.
“That’s absolutely fine, man. I understand it’s not easy to remember everything and everyone when moving into a new city. It’s cool that you’re studying Japanese Studies as well though! If you’re up for it, me and a couple other people are grabbing lunch later and you’re more than welcome to join!” Suga gladly accepted the invitation, feeling oddly reassured that someone as confident as Kuroo basically just took him in like that. He must’ve looked really lost.
The morning passed quite quickly, Suga only got lost once between classes, but everyone at the university was just so helpful and kind that it wasn’t that big of an issue. At lunchtime, he met Kuroo and his three friends at the bottom of the main stairs, smiling nervously at the strangers as Kuroo introduced them. The one whose hair probably had more gel in it than Kuroo was named Bokuto Koutarou, who was more than excited to meet Suga. The other two were calmer at greeting him, the shorter one with dark hair introduced himself as Akaashi Keiji, and the tall blonde quietly introduced himself as Tsukishima Kei. The conversation came almost naturally to them all as they made their way to the cafeteria, and Suga was thankful for how they did their best to include him in their conversations. Suga quickly noticed that Bokuto and Akaashi were closest and were most probably friends since at least middle school with how they spoke to and acted around each other, but everyone seemed to tease Bokuto relentlessly, reminding Suga of his own best friend. He should definitely send Asahi a text after lunch to see how he was holding up.
Suga quickly felt integrated into the friend group, cracking jokes with the rest of them as they ate the somewhat disgusting cafeteria food.
“This university is so fancy and expensive, can’t they at least make decent food?” Kuroo quipped, making the others nod in agreement.
“You’ve been saying that since last year. Besides, it’s better than whatever you can cook, Kuroo.” Tsukishima replied in a drawl, sounding almost bored.
“That’s not very nice of you, Tsukki-poo. I mean you’re not wrong but you shouldn’t say it.” Kuroo answered nonchalantly, ignoring the face of discomfort he made at the nickname.
“So Suga, why did you decide to move to Tokyo?” Akaashi asked, and suddenly everyone fell quiet, watching their new friend with intent.
“I didn’t like my old university, and I always wanted to move to Tokyo, so I figured why not,” Suga answered, trying to seem unfazed.
“Why didn’t you move for your first year then?” Bokuto asked, his eyes big and focussed intensely on Suga.
“Ah, well… My ex wanted me to stay close to our hometown, so I enrolled in our local university. We had a pretty bad breakup though so I was excited to move away.” He consciously left any pronouns out of the conversation, not ready to come out to his newfound friends, just in case. He grimaced at recalling the way he found out his ex-boyfriend was cheating on him and had been for two months before their breakup. After he had found out, he couldn’t get out of his hometown quicker.
“Ah. Makes sense. Oh well, there are lots of people here that we can hook you up with if you want.” Kuroo said in what Suga assumed to be a joke, but he thanked him for the offer anyway.
“Ah it’s fine, I’m not big on dating yet, my ex kinda messed me up, and I don’t know how I feel about one-night stands just yet.” The others nodded, understanding that he was done talking about it.
“Well, we’re all going to Kuroo’s house party he and his roommates are throwing at the end of the week, sort of like a beginning of the semester party. You’re very welcome to join us if you like!” Bokuto chimed in, to which Suga gladly agreed. He needed to check his schedule but getting drunk and/or high at university parties was something he desperately missed during the summer holidays.
After lunch, everyone went their separate ways, and Kuroo promised to text Suga the details of the party the day of. Before his last class of the day started, he sent Asahi a quick text, asking how he was holding up. He got a thumbs-up emoji back, meaning that he was surviving the day. Sugawara smiled as he put his phone back into his pocket and went into the classroom.
The day was over a lot quicker than Suga had anticipated, and he sent Asahi a text as he made his way back home.
Home in 20, give me a call if you feel like it!
He threw his coat and bag on the couch as he went into the kitchen to make a coffee. There was nothing Suga loved more than a cup of coffee after a long day. His ex often commented on how bad his caffeine addiction had gotten during his time at uni but he wasn’t in the picture anymore so why should he care? As he was waiting for Asahi to call, he sat by the window in his living room/bedroom, watching civilians pass by as he quietly sipped his coffee. The street he lived in was pretty busy, cars were always driving by and there were always people to observe. Suga loved watching the people crossing the street or running to the subway, were it businessmen, or parents with their children, trying to urge them from one side of the street to the other. Just as he was watching a mother on the phone, trying to get her kid’s attention who was attempting to run across the street when the light was red, his train of thought was interrupted by his phone buzzing.
“Hey Asahi,” he said after he swiped the screen of his phone to accept Asahi’s FaceTime call.
“So? How was your first day?” He asked excitedly, sipping his coffee and leaning against the window.
“It was so cool! The people were really nice and I’m going out for drinks with a few people later tonight!” Asahi sounded a lot more confident than the day before, which made Suga’s heart swell with pride. His best friend was never the best when it came to meeting new people, always worried that people would see him as a threat or too intimidating. His height and broad build were definitely assets to that, but his heart was so pure it was almost impossible not to love the man.
“Did you meet any cool fashionable people then?” Suga asked, which prompted Asahi to tell him all about his day and everyone he had met. Suga listened intently to his best friend’s words, not wanting to miss a single minute of what happened during his first day.
“Ah, I’m rambling again. How was your day?” Asahi asked after speaking for a while, and Suga couldn’t help but smile. Asahi always felt ashamed and somehow shy when he “talked too much,” even though Suga loved nothing more than to listen to whatever Asahi was passionate about. Asahi also knew this to some extent, but he still seemed to feel bad whenever he spoke for more than one minute at a time, thinking it was selfish of him, at least that’s what Asahi had told Suga when he asked his best friend about it.
“Ah no, it’s fine! I like hearing you talk. Besides, it was your first day of uni! That’s exciting! My day was good, I met a few new people and we’re also going to this party on Friday, so I’m looking forward to that!” Suga continued to tell Asahi about his day, in turn, making sure to not leave out any details. He really enjoyed these FaceTime calls with Asahi, something they decided to do more when Asahi was traveling with Nishinoya before he came back home to study and they couldn’t see each other as often as they were used to.
“So yeah, that’s about it from my end. I have work again after class tomorrow afternoon so I’ll probably not be on my phone too much, just so you know!”
“Ok, noted” Asahi answered, before continuing talking about random things.
“Oh by the way, Yuu said he’ll come back home in a few weeks!” Asahi said, his eyes practically shining in excitement. Suga grinned at that, knowing that maybe it might be a little less than that. Noya had wanted to surprise Asahi by coming back from his travels this week, two weeks earlier than planned and only Suga knew about it.
Noya had been traveling Europe for five months now, and although Asahi had joined him in the first month, he had to go home and work in order to afford uni and his apartment, which bummed Asahi out greatly. He and Noya had the most wholesome relationship in Suga’s opinion. Neither could live without the other, so long-distance kinda sucked for the both of them.
Asahi and Nishinoya were the classic “best friends that had feelings for each other since forever but never acted on it” until one day Suga had enough of the bullshit and made them confess to one another. At least that’s how Asahi and Noya put it, Suga thought of it as more of a “not-so-subtly locking them in a room until they confessed” sort of situation. Not his most graceful moment, he must admit, but they had been together for a year now and were completely and utterly in love with each other, it was cute but sickening to watch as a single person. Pushing the thought away, Suga grinned at the camera, nodding enthusiastically.
“I’m excited for you! I might try to come to visit for a weekend once Noya’s back, we can have a movie marathon weekend like we used to in high school,” Suga suggested and Asahi was practically glowing with excitement. The rest of the conversation was about Noya and his adventures in Europe until Asahi had to get ready for his night out with the new people he met at uni.
Suga decided to spend the night in a YouTube deep dive until he passed out, which was always a bad idea but at least he remembered to set an alarm this time.
Just as he had anticipated, he woke up extremely confused to his alarm, not remembering when he fell asleep. His laptop had since turned off due to lack of charging, but he had no time to care about that now, because he wanted to get to uni on time and he needed to remember to take his work clothes with him, so he tried to get out of bed at least half an hour before he had to leave. He was in a bad mood, probably due to his YouTube deep dive last night, and he couldn’t wait to go back to bed the second he had to leave the warm and safe confines of his sheets. He got dressed in a hurry, realising he only had ten minutes before he had to leave.
The morning was rather uneventful, and Suga did his best to seem as chipper as he had been the day before, despite his foul mood. Kuroo had invited him to lunch again, but he declined with a smile and an apology. He knew he would have to go to work at 1 pm and there would be no time for him to eat in the cafeteria. Suga appreciated Kuroo’s kindness and understanding as he turned away to listen to the professor, leaving Suga to his notes. He decided to eat his lunch in the break room at work before his shift started in order to ensure he would be on time.
That day he worked the orders, and since it was a weekday before 4 pm, he was left with one other coworker who was taking orders. He hadn’t met this colleague before but he seemed very intense and focused on his work. He had introduced himself earlier that afternoon as Kageyama Tobio and promptly walked off to start his shift. Suga wasn’t phased though, knowing that he probably had trouble opening up to people, so he decided to not overwhelm him with conversation. They worked surprisingly well together and Suga enjoyed working quietly, listening to the playlist that was playing that day. Sometimes he’d listen in to other people’s fleeting conversations as they waited for their orders, the snippets he caught always entertained him as he wondered what the rest of the conversation was about. He knew that that was probably not appropriate but he was too curious about other people’s lives not to eavesdrop. Right before 4 pm, another coworker joined him and Kageyama, introducing himself as Ennoshita Chikara. He seemed like an effective and good worker, and Suga wished he had more time to get acquainted with him but unfortunately, rush hour had started so they were too busy making orders. He had an inkling that he and Ennoshita would get along pretty well though, so he made sure he would talk to the man more when they had another shift together.
Even though Suga had a 6-hour shift, the afternoon went by in a blur and he didn’t notice how much his back ached from being on his feet non-stop during that time until he arrived at his apartment. He decided to put off homework until he had his bath and some dinner, truly exhausted from his day. He checked his phone as the water poured into the tub, texting Asahi that he was alright and that he would call after his classes the next day, too tired to keep a conversation tonight. He doubted whether or not he would be able to do his homework that night, but he figured he could just do it the next day instead, so he sunk into the hot water wondering what kind of tv show he wanted to watch before bed. He deserved some self-care as well from time to time even if that self-care took the form of eating instant ramen and watching Netflix.

Aiden’ a very outgoing guy. He’s always looking to meet new people and forge new connections. He was on his own a lot in the beginning of his life and he’s never really liked the feeling, despite what he says, so he makes it a mission to interact with the people around him. He’s easy going, easy to talk to and having been in Dayton about two years or so he’s bound to have plenty of acquaintances. He has several close friends too, but not many that know his whole story. Over the years he’s crafted that ‘I-feel-like-I-have-known-you-forever’ charm without really having to go too deep. One or two really close friends would be great though.
Aiden's typically positive, even when he’s not, he doesn’t have much of a personal bubble concept, and he isn’t the most tactful. He’s bound to piss some people off. He’s usually pretty oblivious to it, so you have to spell it out for him. And that’s fine. He’ll apologize, if he knows he was wrong, and really, he doesn’t try to offend or bother anyone. Most of the time. He’s old enough to know you can’t get along with everyone. He won’t try to change your mind, but won’t go out of his way to avoid you, either. it’s a waste of time. He does get along with most though. He’s protective, having raised his siblings he’s got that older brother vibe always. He ain’t afraid to get gritty, and he’s pretty equipped when it comes to life skills. Need your plumbing looked at? He’s got you. Need a meal? Got you there too. Car fixed? Bring it.  Hair braided? Hell yeah. He’s a jack of all trades, but his main one is writing. It’s something he keeps close to his vest, but his mentor/father figure got it on an agent’s desk about four years ago and well-- he actually got published. It was a game changer. But he’s still super private about it.
As for love, Aiden has never really been in love. He’s had crushes, yes. Relationships, yes. But he’s never told anyone he’s been ‘in love’ with them. It’s a serious thing to him, it carries immense weight, so he doesn’t plan on saying it unless he’s sure he means it. He’s up for anything else though. One nighters, dates, flings, fwb, whatever with whoever. If you can get past his constant flirting and somewhat obnoxiousness, he can be a really sweet guy. He takes care of who he’s with and he isn’t afraid of exclusivity. He been in more than a few relationships (some good, some bad) back in Kentucky and a maybe one or two since coming to Dayton. It’s a good feeling, but it doesn’t define him.
THE RUN DOWN.
CHILDHOOD; there’s no reason to specify where aiden grew up in Kentucky. you won’t find it on a map and he likes it that way. his childhood isn’t important either. it’s not something he prefers to talk about and if asked he’s very vague about it. he might even lie about it, but the truth is, it wasn’t happy one and the cigarette burns on the nape of his neck and shoulder (these are covered) are proof enough.
ADOLESCENCE; at eleven, his parents defected to god knows where. it left him, his three siblings, ages three and barely two. he missed three days of school trying to take care of them on what they had. his mother waltz in on the fourth as if nothing happened. it was a teacher of he confided in, one he stayed close to for years after. but defax didn’t exactly care. it was the first of many disappearances. sometimes it was a day, sometimes more. It was something he grew used to and by the time he was in middle school, he had surrendered to the fact he was the parent in this scenario. he had a hard time keeping up in high school. he was missing school to work under the table jobs and when he was at school, fights broke out and after about the fourth one, his teacher was done. they had a big blow out...making aiden realize his pride wasn’t worth it. he buckled down and leaned in to what his teacher was saying. without going into too many details, aiden began to flourish. his sullen and quiet demeanor shifted into the laughter and curiosity he once had. his grades improved and yeah, he was still picked at but the fighting stopped. it was like a page out of a fairy tale for him and he embraced it, wholeheartedly, no questions asked.
TWENTIES; unfortunately he didn’t make it through high school. he had to work, but he had o’connor’s support. he helped him study for his GED on the side and helped him as much as he could with his siblings. Things weren’t amazing, but they were manageable.  They survived and unlike him, his siblings stayed in school. He’d kill’em if they didn’t. He worked his ass off to get them through and in the little time he wasn’t? He wrote. He poured anything and everything he heard, felt, and experienced into journal upon journal. It cathartic mostly, but just as his little sister graduated high school, O’Connor managed to get one on the desk of an agent. How? He refused to say, the next week the agent was on Aiden’s door step, ready to change his life. Four years ago, he was published under a pen name and since then life has been smoother. the cash flow helped his siblings and by the time they were all comfortable in college, Aiden began to travel and live the life he’d always dreamed of.
THIRTIES; He hopped from place to place, living on the bare minimums to get a full experience. Writing it all down as he jumped outta planes, tried different local food-- just trying new things. By the time he reached Dayton, his agent was begging for something new too. His blogging and the mysteriousness around him as an anonymous author was fading. He needed something new so he settled. He didn’t intend to stay but-- in a thriving place like Dayton, a place without restriction and full of endless sins and passion? How could he not? It’s done wonders for his muse while still feeding his adrenaline fix. What’s not to like?

With a deep care for his friends and family , Saburo is someone who takes his duties and relationships very seriously . Despite the hardened look he puts out , and a violent quirk to match , he is actually surprisingly soft in conversation . He is extremely smart and perceptive , having been the top of his class in grades prior to imprisonment . He is reliable and never goes back on his word . He enjoys working out, playing baseball, and secretly covering vocaloid songs in his freetime/karaoke. He also has a massive hero - crush on Pop Step since middle school .

QUIRK .
Mantis Shrimp -- yes , it’s exactly how it sounds . Saburo’s quirk is an adapted mutation of his parents , and is essentially the power of a mantis shrimp . A quirk with high modification in powerful close - ranged combat . It’s no one - for - all , naturally .. But it sure holds its own weight . As a result of his baseball extracurricular, He is capable of switching between the two main combat styles that mantis shrimp can employ (Smasher or Spear), but not both at the same time . So i’m not resorted to plagiarising wikipedia , read the Claw section of this article for the more ‘detailed’ explanation of his quirk . When used underwater , his quirk creates sonoluminescence just like mantis shrimps , but it is short lived and reported as a flash at most . His quirk is capable of transfering the kinetic force to objects he uses through the velocity it produces ( for example , swinging a baseball bat with his quirk -- ) draw backs : However , despite it’s strength , Saburo’s quirk has a self destructive factor . Just as scientific laws and the capabilities of the body would have it , his fists are still just flesh and cartilage .. therefore , depending on how intense he uses his quirk as well as the mass of the target/object , Saburo runs the risk of completely breaking his hand, or even shattering his entire arm if the kinetic force pushes back enough . For this reason , correct technique , supremely padded gloves (although this buffers his ability), and intense strengthening training are required to minimize the risk . Because mantis shrimps are an aquatic animal , his quirk thrives safest in an underwater environment -- however , he cannot breathe underwater -- nor use this ability if he is occupied with swimming . Since his quirk relies on wind up capability , if he pushes the tension beyond its stretch point , he can snap his arm . in summary -- he may be able to hole - punch an object , but the kinetic force applied always comes right back , and will definitely break his entire arm if it’s too much .
How Saburo uses his quirk . In order to activate his ability , Saburo winds up or draws back his arm of choice like a baseball pitcher preparing to throw a ball . The tension in his appendages collects , to an intensity of his choosing , and is then released in a “blinding quickness” upon an opponent . In water , this creates cavitation bubbles that strike his target like S waves after the initial P wave (his punch).
Quirk Class : Accumulation
STORY . ( tw : grooming , violence , assault )
The middle son of the Honda family had it’s perks ; you had older siblings to look up to , and younger siblings to look up to you . He was born into a higher - middle class family , and while the pressure was on to perform to your very best at all turns , Saburos family was very loving and functional . They all worked as a pack , and supported one another in their high - achieving endeavors . His mother is a famous boxer while his father is a stats analyst , her cheerleader , and her manager . Considered the most harmonious mashup of his parents quirks , Saburo was often brought to the boxing gym with hope to spark his interest in it . It was the very first place he activated his quirk for the first time at (before being brought there regularly), and ultimately broke his hand . As he got older , he enjoys it as a hobby , but knocking people out wasn’t really a future he was looking into .
In third grade , Saburo discovered his love for baseball by happening upon a group of kids playing the game in a huge lot over summer break . It was mesmerizing ; the first time he had ever loved a sport so much -- and it was a place where his quirk really shined . Their team was exceptional already , but the more familiar he became with them and the game , Saburo quickly grew into their star - player . It was a match made in heaven .
His siblings and parents would even come to watch his games , although saddened he didn’t pick boxing , the adults were still proud he found his own path and supported him irregardless . His younger sister and brother would often practice with him , and he too would help them out with their own sport activities -- swimming and fencing (for his younger brother and sister respectively).
Splitting his time between baseball , school , and family , Saburo had a very busy yet happy childhood . Eventually he earned his spot on the school baseball team , and along with his exceptional grades and family reputation , put him in a rather popular spot at school .. But being focused at the dear age of 12 or 13 , he wasn’t very interested in girls or gifts or social interactions outside of his three life treasures . He was on track to go to the big leagues , preparing to really knock it all out of the park in highschool .
Except those days never came . Saburo was staying up late to complete homework on the family computer when an IM popped up . Shiro , his little sister , was using the computer last , and had already gone to bed .. looking more exhausted than normal . Not planning to wake her , Saburo supposed his little sister forgot to log out of her accounts , and like the decent big brother he was , decided to log her out so their parents or other siblings wouldn’t nosily invade her and her friends’ privacy ... only to his surprise that whoever messaged her , wasn’t a friend at all . Or a ‘kid’ for that matter .
To his disgust , Saburo was immediately bombarded with unsolicited , unintelligent , and entirely revolting pictures , disgusting messages , and an inexplicably disturbed feeling in his stomach . Throwing the whole ‘not to be nosy’ idea out the window , it didn’t matter to him whether his sister would be upset by this discovery or not . The more he read , the more he felt as through she wouldn’t mind his intervention either . Although the pictures were something that popped up only now during Saburo’s computer use , the disgusting , carefully crafted , grooming behavior was long time present . With rage , he began to type back in response , hoping to find out more about whatever sick mind decided to toy with a 10 year old girl .
Spending the rest of his night in attempts to garner information , it unfortunately hadn’t resulted in much ... and worse , resulted in the first ever unfinished , zero assignment Saburo was incapable of turning in . Needless to say , his parents were furious . Even while a simple explanation would clear up everything , the 14 year old felt trapped -- unsure of whether to share the real reason behind the whole thing ( after all , if they found out , she would never be allowed on the computer ever again -- and probably the rest of the kids too . And you could be sure that he wouldn’t escape unscathed for not telling them immediately .. but the latter , the punishment to him , was irrelevant .) His sister’s safety from both sides were at stake . So simply , he didn’t say a word .
Skipping out on baseball practice and family time to manage his schoolwork and ‘fishing’ activities , Saburo had changed the access to his sisters account so she wouldn’t be able to log in elsewhere , while still keeping the account itself relatively the same . If he were going to catch this guy , it would be easiest to continue under the guise of his sister -- as sick as it made him feel . Ultimately , she had asked him about it , being the last one to use the computer lately , but Saburo simply told her the website put a weird virus on their computer , and to try not to use it anymore -- but everything would be OK -- he’s handling it . Fortunately for him , 10 year olds are likely to buy the words of their trusted older siblings .
A week had passed , and it was a Friday ; a day typically when his elder siblings and parents were out the majority of the day on their work or school business -- as Fridays are the most popular for social events and activities . Saburo was the eldest in the house now , the only day of the week where he was to watch over his two youngers with utmost care . In the past , they would spend it playing board games , practicing ballet routines , tea parties -- simple kid stuff .. But now , Saburo had already devoted the free hours of his days to this unknown creep . Today he planned to do no different . He was obsessed ; the fuel of pure anger and anxiety driving him to unmask this shameless man . As he was preparing to log in for the evening , the house phone started to ring .
Being in charge , he was naturally the one to filter all incoming calls . With a grunt , he got up , moving over enough to pull it off the rack .
It was a familiar voice -- a family friend who owns the famous boxing gym their parents frequent . At first it was just pleasantries , and Saburo explained that his parents werent home , that they were probably heading over there , so whatever message he had for them it was probably best to hold off . He agreed , thanking him for the advice , and the two hung up .
Online was surprisingly quiet for the day , so Saburo managed to have a couple hours of playtime with his siblings . They danced , played karaoke .. and swam around in the training pool in their backyard . As it approached night time , Saburo and Goro got out , heading into the kitchen to prepare dinner for the three as Shiro stayed in the pool . When Saburo placed their dinner in the oven , a scream rang from outside . He immediately turned to look , seeing a giant man shrouded in blending darkness chase his sister around the pool . Without letting another second waste , the boy jetted out there , attempting to intercept the intruder -- but was quickly matched at the jaw by the sharp strike of a quirk . It felt familiar to him somehow , but the heightened nerves of the situation made him not read into it . Simultaneously , his sister , running for her life , had slipped and fell .. the shock of watching her line of defense getting stuck so heavily caused her to absently watch her footwork .. Resulting in a slip , a knock on her head with the pavement , and a dive into the pool . As the intruder made his escape under this cover , Saburo forced himself to refocus and train his efforts to getting Shiro , having no choice but to let the man escape . Attempting first aid as Goro called 119 , the two worked together to aid their sister .
Very fortunate , the results came out being that she would be OK . Had she fallen differently , it would have been a different story -- but to an extreme stroke of luck , there was no internal damage . She would have to stay in the hospital for a week for insurance purposes , as she was out like a light , but everything was said to be fine .
Despite the fantastic news , Saburo was quiet . He could help but feel as though he had failed ; here his sister was , in the hospital , a result of his negligence and lack of supervision .. He thought that , since the kitchen was just a slider door away , it would be ok .. but ..
It all ate at him ; as he lay in bed , numerous thoughts swam through his brain . As if sensing this , the backlight of his phone and soft buzz on the nightstand started up and caught his attention . He picked it up , checking the notification .
“ I heard everything. It was on the news ; poor girl -- I’ll visit you, in the hospital . ”
He did not sleep that night .
The next two days , Saburo didn’t even show up to school -- breaking his perfect attendance . He sat in his sisters hospital room , hiding in the closet once visitor hours were over , simply waiting . He forced himself awake , refusing to take his eyes away from the situation for another moment . Such a mistake costed her to end up here ... He didn’t want to think what could happen if he were to do so again . Petrified , traumatized , Saburo sat there .. a ghost . She did have visitors , no one particularly out of the ordinary -- their parents and siblings (to which he especially hid himself from , having skipped school . Naturally , they were worried about him -- unsure of where he was -- but he refused to show his face until he redeemed himself. he couldn’t bear to watch his parents cry for a mistake he felt he made). Her school friends visited , leaving generous gifts , even Saburo’s baseball teammates -- though they were the only ones who knew he was there , and the only ones who kept his secret . They were helping out on the sidelines , bringing him food and other necessities , while keeping an eye on Goro for him . They even helped out around the house in his absence -- but they were resolute in not disclosing where he was , playing a good role of “i don’t know.” And finally , people from the boxing gym , to pay their respects and give her gifts that any kid would like . Her room had become a perfect hiding place in itself -- there were so many giant stuffed animals , boxes of sweets , gifts , you name it .. But Saburo still stuck with the closet .
Upon the second night , the owner of the boxing gym rolled in , setting down similar items . Saburo was so exhausted by this point , he could barely keep his eyes open -- and almost thought he was imagining things when this man seemed to be leaning ... over ... too close . that was too close . With barely a board fitting between his sister and this man , Saburo’s eyes practically shot open , a surge of adrenaline filling his veins as the boy busted out of the closet , vaulting himself toward the man . Shocked by his presence , he hadn’t moved , but quickly threw him off -- causing a large crash . Panicked , the man pressed the “help” button , wanting to be the first person on the situation -- as they always do -- to avoid suspicion .
The nurses restrained the feral child , his shouts and thrashing causing a commotion in the entire hospital . The police quickly tased him , attempting to detain him so that they could pull him into custody . “Oh no , don’t press charges .“ the man said .  “He was just looking out for his sister, there’s no crime against that.“
That night , after a long scolding , hugs of relief that their son was OK after all , and a much needed nap , Saburo found his sleep pattern completely out of wack . He was awake at 3 AM , when his cellphone started to ring . Still tired , he picked it up without a thought , and answered -- but it wasn’t as pleasant as he was expecting . From what his exhausted brain could gather , it was blackmail . Bribery that if he said anything about what happened in the hospital , not only would no one believe him , but his mother’s hard work and career would be history . Guess it would be Another sleepless night .
Saburo was speechless at school . He was speechless at baseball practice , and he said nothing at family dinner . His eyes were dark with bags -- he was weak . He felt weak . The stress , the fear , the threats -- it was all eating him alive . And worst of all , he couldn’t be at his sisters side anymore ; he was banned from the hospital after the whole fiasco . The thought that that man .. That trash could walk in any time without a suspicion , and he couldn’t do anything about it .. It just about snapped him . He had to do something .
And so , he created a new online persona -- “one of Shiro’s [fake] school friends” -- to lure in this bastard . Coming across as a big fan of his , Saburo talked the man into a one-on-one tour of boxing gym -- just the two of them , after hours when ‘swim club was out for the day’. Disgustingly , the man agreed , but as revolted as he was , Saburo couldnt help but feel excited . For the first time in a few days , he had solid sleep .
Skipping school that day to prepare , his teammates and him devised a plan to execute . They would hide outside , incase something went wrong , while Saburo insisted on going inside by himself .
As it reached the hour , the gym was low - lit and empty . The man did his final rounds , ensuring everything was perfect . Saburo , who had stolen a key from his mother , had slipped inside .
Approaching the man , he wound up his quirk , the tension of his arms adding to his anxiety as he waited for the target to turn -- and surprise him with a full - forced wallop to the face . Unrelenting , the boy went off on him in a way he never knew he could , practically beating him into a bloody pulp . Unfortunately , one of the regulars who trained there had went back after forgetting their gloves -- quickly coming to the aid of the man on the floor by taking out Saburo .
The next time Saburo came to , he was in prison .
CLASS 1-L / CONVICT . after being arrested for aggravated assault , breaking - and - entering , quirk use , and cat - fishing . Saburo was looking at some long time in jail . He had left the man paralyzed , and as a result fired and spread rumors around about his mother out of pure bitterness . Needless to say , her parents lost their fame and jobs quickly -- and they were no longer sought after for contracts . Ichiro and Nijiro were able to keep them afloat with their high paying jobs -- keeping them well until something can turn around for this family . They tried to get their brother out on bail , but his crimes were considered too hefty ; there was no way they were letting him out to walk freely . Ontop of everything , the man attempted to sue -- as if they weren’t stripped of financial support enough . His teammates , trying to help out any way they could , told everyone who would listen about what happened . Fortunately , someone eventually did , and a few days later the Honda’s got a letter in the mail to discuss solutions . Their parents refused to accept the idea that Saburo would do this without a reason . The idea that he was a bad kid was expired food they refused to swallow . Without any hesitation , they accepted any help they could get .. thanks to his mothers remaining connections , that was when DSCAR was put on the table .
   For anyone unfamiliar with class 1 - L , here’s information about it ! ( x ) or you can read about it under the DSCAR tab in Towa’s bio ( x ) .
extras . One of the reasons Saburo wears a helmet constantly , is because after his sisters head trauma , for the following few months she would have to wear a bulky helmet for stability . It made her feel out of place , so Saburo decided to wear one all the time with her to make her feel less abnormal .
Goro performs ballet as a hobby , and Saburo often helps him or practices routines with him .
He has a good relationship with his family , but because he wants to be someone they can depend on as well , he often takes too much on for himself. as a “gifted child,” he feels he shouldn’t ask for help .

Hamilton Omegaverse AU 1
John smiled widely as he looked around, taking in every detail of his new office. To be honest, he never thought he'd pull it off, but here he was! An omega with a full time job as a newspaper artist. His job was mainly focused on cartoons, of course, but he knew that he'd get to do a few pieces to go with certain articles, if the journalists themselves asked for him to do so.
But enough wasting time, he had to set himself up! He spread out his ongoing works across his desk and put up a cork board that he used to organize his ideas, making the office his own. As he sat and got ready to begin working, he caught a sharp, inky scent in the air, instinctively whipping his head up to look at the alpha that walked into the room.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you. You have a strong sense of smell."
Right, of course everyone would expect him to have a weaker sense of smell...
"Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Alexander and I'm a journalist here. I was surprised that they actually let an omega on board here, not that I have anything against omegas, but I know it can be hard for you guys out in the work world."
John knew he wasn't trying to be offensive.... But he was failing very badly at that. "I mean... Most omegas these days can be okay with suppressants. It's not our fault that the world still thinks we should just be housewives."
"Right.. Sorry.. Um... I've never been around an omega like this, if that wasn't obvious."
"No, it was."
"Anyways.. I just wanted to say hi. Is there any tips you can give me on not insulting you in the future?.."
"Yeah, I may be an omega, but I'm not all that different from you. I'm an adult, not a child."
He nodded and left.
John didn't mean to be so harsh, but he didn't get a full time job as an omega by being sweet to the core as he was expected to be, though he was sure he did benefit from his manners being better than those of an alpha. He shrugged it off. If that guy let his ego be torn down just because he was called out by an omega, that wasn't his problem. He just got to work.
When everyone was taking their lunch break, John had planned to stay and eat in his office, not wanting much to interact with the alphas in the office, but that idea was interrupted by someone coming into his office before he could tell them off, the same alpha from earlier.
"Hi, I'm sorry, I know I'm probably the last person you want to see and I didn't ask to come in, but I wanted to apologize for how I acted earlier and show you that I'm not just some idiot alpha, like you probably think I am.."
"And you thought the best  way to do that was to barge into here like that?"
"Kind of.. I knew you wouldn't let me in if I hadn't done this. I wanted to give you a peace offering." He slid a plastic plate onto his desk with a piece of cake in it over to him. "The office is having a party for one of the other guys and I didn't think you'd want to join, so I brought you some cake from it."
John was surprised by how genuine the gesture felt. He thought for a second before taking the cake and eating it, accepting the peace offering. "This is good cake.. Thank you. And I forgive you. Besides, I didn't mean to be so snappy, I'm just trying to make sure you guys know I'm not some alpha that's helpless. This isn't tv or something." He shrugged and took another bite.
"I know.. Again, I don't really interact with omegas that often and I think it's unfair that almost all omegas in media are shown to be as weak as they are and alphas are just people. I just wasn't sure how to approach you.."
"Just like a person. I'm just a person who's built a little different and has a sweeter scent." He shrugged. "And if any of your alpha buddies want to try and come talk down to me because of it, I have been given permission to hurt them in self defense."
"That's fair. There might be a few creeps that do that, but there are also some guys that are cool, probably cooler than me, and know how to speak to an omega."
"I wouldn't mind meeting them at some point. Preferably without you just barging in."
"Yeah, again, I'm sorry about that.. I just wanted to apologize."
"I accept your apology." He smiled and took another bite of his cake.
Alexander smiled. "Also.. You're really cool.. Would you like to go out sometime?"
John hardly had to think over the offer before shaking his head. "Sorry... It's already being an omega in the workplace, especially so quickly out of school. An office romance would only complicate things. You seem like a cool guy, though."
"Right.. It's fine." He smiled, quickly getting over the rejection. "So, do you want to come get drinks with me and my friends after work?"
"Can't. I'm 19. Besides, I don't really feel comfortable going into bars with a bunch of alphas, not you in particular or anything."
"Oh... You meant fresh out of high school. You must be really talented."
"Thanks." He smiled. "We can hang out at my place or something. I know self defense, so I'm not afraid, as long as I stay sober."
"None of my friends would attack you. I'd never be friends with someone who'd force an omega or anyone to do anything in bed."
"It's not that I don't believe you or trust them, it's just to be sure. Look at the world we're in. I can't be too careful."
Alexander knew exactly what he meant... Their president believed that all omegas should stay at home, breeding and making the future generations in a country that was already overpopulated. He thought omegas were there to please alphas and make babies, that they were just objects and it was disgusting. "I know what you mean.. I'll talk to them, maybe they'll be interested in hanging out."
"Cool. Tell me what they say." He smiled and looked back down at his work, getting back to it and leaving his lunch and desert to the side.
Alexander took the cue and got up, leaving and going back to his own office, finishing his work for the day.
Once the day was over, he went to his friends and to the bar, catching sight of John leaving the building as from the parking garage. Did this kid have a car? .. Nope. He went straight out of the garage and waited by the curb for his ride. He turned his eyes away and got in his friend's car, going out to the bar with them.
Luckily, his friend Lafayette was there to make sure that they didn't regret it the next morning at work, especially since they were having a meeting.
John walked in a minute or so before, having gotten the email last minute, and ignored all of the stares from the alphas that picked up his scent, turning to their boss.
Mr Washington, who was at the head of the table, stood up to begin. "Okay. As most of you know, we're here to discuss our weekly interview topic."
Alexander smiled proudly. Every week, they received different submissions for important figures in the area that should get interviewed over their success and it was his week, which only came twice a year.
"Alexander, I see that you're already well aware that this is your week. We've decided that this week's interview should be with someone whose been getting recommended for months and I've decided to save this one for you."
"Yes! Who is it? Bernie Sanders? Michelle Obama?"
"Nope. A bit more local. Maybe you're familiar with his work. He runs a blog online, helping people become successful even though, as you've said, 'he hasn't worked a day in his life'."
Alexander's smile disappeared. "Nope! Not happening! There's no way I'm going anywhere near him! He thinks he's so high and mighty because he knows how to get a job that he doesn't need!"
John furrowed his eyebrows. "Do you mean Thomas Jefferson?.. From Invest for Success?.."
"That privileged, self-obsessed, high and mighty-"
"Yes, John, him. I assume you're familiar with his work?"
"Yeah, my friends used to read it and think it was crap, but I thought it wasn't all that bad. He knew what he was talking about and it's really helpful for college students, since the school system failed at helping us in that area."
George nodded. "Right. And it seems that a lot of people feel like he's helped them, as he's been highly recommended for the past few months."
"I'm not doing this. I'm not going near him. John knows about him, John can do it!"
"Wait, I'm just a cartoonist! I don't know the first thing about this kind of stuff.."
"It's easy. You just read the questions and write his answers. Lafayette can handle the editing."
George raised his hand, cutting him off. "That's enough, Alexander. John, would you mind?.. I know it's not your job, but we can discuss this at a later date. It would be due next Friday."
"I don't know.. I guess we can talk about it."
"Thank you. And, if you find that you don't want to take this job, Alexander will do it."
"Sounds like a plan." John nodded.
"Good. You're all dismissed. Come to my office, John."
He got up and followed him to his office, a familiar sight from his job interview a few weeks prior and his short orientation the day before.
"So, you can look through all of the old interviews and figure out what kind of questions you want to ask, then I can get one of the other journalists to help you edit it together. And, of course, since this isn't really your job, I'll provide a bonus."
John thought over the offer for a few seconds before nodding. "Yeah.. I think I could do that. Just give me the address and time."
George smiled. "I'll send you that and all of our previous interviews as soon as I can. You can go ahead and go back to your office."
John nodded and smiled, getting up and going back to his office. A few hours later, he received an email with every interview and everything he'd need to conduct his own, taking a deep breath before looking through them all. He mainly skimmed through them, more interested in the questions asked than their answers, and went through the actual blog that brought Jefferson there before writing down his choice of questions and sending them to Washington for approval, which he received soon after.
He smiled and began emailing Jefferson himself about the interview.

Chloé vs Adrien! Fight! Chapter 4
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | | Chapter 5 Ao3
Summary: Chloé and Adrien compete for Ladybug’s affections.
Chapter 4: Chloé throws a party and it does not go as planned.
“You invited who?” Chloé asked, fuming, as she watched the caterers set up.
“Adrien, of course.” Her father said, smiling distractedly. “I saw him when I was having lunch with Gabriel and he didn’t know about the party. So I made sure to tell him all the details. I know he’s a fan of Ladybug too.”
“Daddy, no!” She whined, stomping her foot. “We’re fighting right now! I don’t want him at my party.”
“Oh, sweety. Of course you want Adrien here. He is your best friend.” The mayor looked down at his phone. “I’m sorry. I have a meeting. I’ll be back soon, darling.”
“He’s not my best friend anymore!” she insisted, but her father had already started to walk away. She sighed, glaring at the caterers. Her father always doted on her but rarely actually listened to what she was saying.
Truth be told, she missed Adrien. It had only been a week since their feud began but they missed their weekly cartoon binge. It was not as fun watching anime by herself without his running commentary of snark and enthusiasm.
But no. They were rivals now. All that mattered was winning Ladybug’s heart. That was what she set her mind to and that was what she was going to get.
If Adrien showed up, she was just going to have to be extra charming to distract Ladybug away from him.
She smiled, heading back to her room for a few last minutes touch ups on her look.
She was going to look so sexy, there would be no way Ladybug could resist her.
“Thank you so much for getting me in.” Alya said as they headed into the Grand Paris Hotel. “I mean, I normally wouldn’t want to go to one of Chloé’s parties but if Ladybug is going to be there than I am there.”
“No problem.” Adrien said, laughing. “I mean, I’m pretty sure I’m not exactly welcome here myself.”
“I don’t understand how you were ever friends with her.” Alya said, rolling her eyes.
“I’m still friends with her,” said Adrien, kind of guiltily as the doorman waved them up. “This will blow over once I get Ladybug to fall in love with me.”
“Not if I seduce her first,” Alya laughed.
“Hey, you have Marinette,” Adrien pointed out, as they hit the elevator button up to the penthouse. “Don’t be greedy. Leave some cute girls for the rest of us.”
Alya grinned and waggled her eyebrows. “But seriously. I get that Chloé was your friend when you were kids, but why do you still want to hang out with her?”
He sighed. He had had this conversation with Nino more times than he could count. “She’s. . . not that bad.” The elevator door opened. “She’s a bit of a jerk but, like, she can be fun to hang out with. And she mostly doesn’t mean any harm. She’s just a bit selfish.”
Alya snorted. “A bit.”
“Yeah, I know.” He smiled awkwardly. “But she tries.”
“If you say so.” Alya shook her head. The elevator opened and they headed into the party.
It was classy, like all of Chloé’s parties. Rich and fashionable teenagers laughed and dance and ate while their powerful parents mingled. This had been Adrien’s main exposure to his peers for many years before he started school and, while many of the attendees were perfectly nice people, he was glad he had other friends now.
“I don’t think Ladybug’s here yet.” Alya said, pouting. “You’re sure she’s coming?”
“I have it on good authority.” Ladybug had told him herself on patrol the other night. That was when he knew he had to get in no matter what.
“I hope she gets here soon. I don’t want to spend the evening with these rich nitwits.” She smiled at Adrien. “No offence.”
“None taken.”
“Urg, there’s Chloé.” Alya did a double take. “Damn. She looks fine.”
Adrien followed her gaze and let out a groan when he saw Chloé. “Oh no. That’s the outfit she showed me when she came out to me. She insisted it could get any gay girl to fall for her.” He didn’t see what was so special about it, It was just a loose legged dark blue bodysuit. It was pretty low cut and it didn’t look bad on her, but it wasn’t exactly sexy. But he wasn’t a gay girl.
“She was right.” Alya cleared her throat. “I mean, I hate her and she’s Chloé and everything. But I am not going to deny that it looks good on her.”
Adrien studied Alya’s reaction nervously. If Chloé could make it so that Alya would admit that she was attractive, he might be in trouble.
Chloé was getting impatient. The party was in full swing and Ladybug still wasn’t here. Adrien was, though. And he brought stupid Alya. She didn’t say he could invite her. She didn’t even invite him. She squashed down the part of her that was happy to see him as she headed over to them.
“Hello, Adrien.” She greeted, not even bothering to plaster on a fake smile. “What’re you doing here? I don’t recall inviting you.”
“Oh, hello, Chloé.” He gave her a perfect model smile, obviously just messing with her. “Your father invited me. He knows we are both such fans of Ladybug.”
“You ass.” She hissed. “Why are you so interested in Ladybug, anyways? You were never as interested as I am.”
“I was!” Adrien said, dropping his smile and glaring. “I’ve been basically in love with her since I first saw her.”
“I fell for her when she saved my life!” She was so angry. “That was before you ever saw her in person.”
Adrien looked like he was about to say something, but he closed his mouth. Good. He should keep his stupid mouth shut.
“You always need to one up me on everything.” She continued. Her voice was raising but she didn’t care that people were staring. They weren’t important. “You did that at school and now you want to do that with Ladybug!”
Adrien seemed surprised and that just made her angrier. Oh, like he didn’t know what he was doing.
“Don’t act surprised. You know what you’re doing. You come to school with me and then you just - you just make everyone like you. You asshole.” She felt tears prick her eyes and she turned on her heel, stomping away.
She would rather die than let anyone see her cry. People were staring at her as she headed to the bathroom. A girl was washing her hands and yelped in surprised when Chloé burst in.
“Out.” She snapped. The girl’s eyes widened and she scurried out.
Chloé sighed, leaning against the sink. She blinked back angry tears, trying not to mess up her eye makeup.
She handled that poorly. She knew that. Accusing Adrien of being an asshole because people like him was not going to reflect well on her. But she couldn’t help it.
She just wanted her friend back.
No. She didn’t care about stupid, funny, and caring Adrien. What she wanted was a cute and awesome girlfriend.
She pushed the tears back and quickly touched up her makeup. Taking a deep breath, she headed out the rejoin her party.
A waiter passed by her right as she left the bathroom and she grabbed a glass of champagne from his tray. As she scanned the room, her grip on the glass tightened.
Ladybug was here.
She was talking to Adrien and Alya and a small group of people. And she was laughing.
Chloé downed the glass of champagne as daintily as she could, and strode over to them.
“Ladybug! You made it!” She pushed her way through the small crowd and flung her arms around the superhero.
Ladybug didn’t look happy to see her, but she couldn’t let that bother her. She had grown a thicker skin than that. “Uh, hello Chloé.” She hesitated as Chloé planted a quick kiss on her cheek. “It’s a lovely party.” Her eyes wandered toward where Adrien stood with Alya and Chloé felt her smile slipping.
“I need to show you something, Ladybug.” She lied, pulling Ladybug by the hand through the party. She didn’t resists as Chloé pulled her towards one of the balconies, although she did look back longingly.
“What did you want to show me?” Ladybug asked, sounding tired.
Chloé shut the balcony doors behind her. “Me.”
“I see you. You look great.” The complement sounded sincere and it made Chloé blush.
“Of course I do.” She smiled, taking Ladybug’s hands in her own. “I want to ask you out again.”
Ladybug sighed. “Chloé, I already said no.”
“I know. I know.” She said, waving her hand dismissively. “But I want to ask again. For real.”
Chloé took a deep breath. This was going to be difficult. But if she couldn’t be honest with Ladybug, then who could she be honest with?
“Chloé. . . .” Ladybug started to say, but Chloé held up a hand.
“I . . . I know I am not nice.” She said, slowly. “I get what I want. People used to tell me that meant I was ‘goal oriented’ and I’ll ‘go far’ but I’m starting to think I may be missing an important factor. I’m just not very good at considering other people. I just don’t understand them. Everyone gets so upset over everything, how am I supposed to not take advantage of them?” Ladybug raised a skeptical eyebrow. “But anyways, I like you. You make me want to understand people. You make me want to help them like you do. And you’re so good that you make me see the value in being ‘nice’.” Chloé sighed. “Also, you’re, like, really pretty.”
Ladybug’s expression was hard to read. “Chloé. . . I don’t know what to say.”
“Say you’ll go out to dinner with me?” Chloé asked, hesitantly. She was starting to feel sick. Feeling vulnerable like this was awful.
“I, I would. I would go out to dinner with you. . . .” Ladybug said, but Chloé could hear the apology already in her voice. “But, there’s someone else.”
“Who?” Chloé wasn’t going to get so close only to receive such a vague answer. “Who’s so much better than me?” She hated it, but she could feel the tears prick the corners of her eyes for the second time today.
Ladybug didn’t answer but she glanced back towards the party.
Adrien.
Of course it was Adrien. It was always Adrien.
The tears threatened to escape but she willed them to stay. She wasn’t going to cry in front of Ladybug.
Before either of them had a chance to speak, however, there was an unmistakable crash from inside.
“An akuma.” Ladybug said. “I’m sorry Chloé, we’ll talk later, I promise.”
And she threw open the doors and rushed back into the party, which was quickly turning into a complete mess.
Chloé didn’t follow. She sank down until she was sitting, leaning against the wall. She normally would never sit on the dirty ground. This was a designer outfit, after all. It cost more than most of her classmate’s parents made in a month. It should never touch the dirty floor.
But Chloé didn’t care right now. Nor did she care that the tears that were falling from her eyes were probably completely messing up her makeup. She slipped off her heels and hugged her knees towards her chest. The akuma battle raged inside but she ignored it.
She always knew that Ladybug was probably going to reject her. But that didn’t mean that it didn’t hurt. She knew she was terrible. She was awful and she didn’t deserve love.
She just didn’t know how to be any other way.
With Ladybug, she felt like she could learn. But Ladybug didn’t want to be with her. Ladybug couldn’t stand her. And Adrien couldn’t stand her either. Even Sabrina was starting to pull away from her. She would end up alone. With no friends, no girlfriend, just her father’s vague doting and creepy old men hitting at her at political functions.
The tears were coming more quickly now, accompanied by dry, unattractive sobs. Her nose was dripping on the leg of her pants. She should really fix herself up. She couldn’t go back to the party like this. She was a mess, but she couldn’t let other people know that.
The sobs slowly began to subside and she just sat there, in silence, listening to the crashes from the akuma fight having on the other side of the wall. Ladybug was winning, of course. Because she was amazing.
The thought made more tears fall. She was starting to get a headache from all the crying.
Eventually, the familiar swarm of ladybugs enveloped the hotel, signifying that the battle was over. That meant she would have to get cleaned up before people started to wonder where she was. If she had any luck, everyone would just decide to go home after such a disaster of the party. She didn’t even know why the person was akumatized or who it was, but she really didn’t care.
Chloé was trying to make herself look something approaching presentable when the doors to the balcony opened quietly.
Chat Noir slipped through them and shut them behind him. Of course. This terrible night wouldn’t be complete without that annoying cat.
He didn’t see her. She was about to tell him to leave her alone when a light flashed and Chat Noir wasn’t there anymore.
Adrien stood in his place.

Galactica, part 242
In this Raven throws the warmup party at the year, as she celebrates a night all about her!
Thank you @veronicasanders @samrull and @toriibelledarling for cowriting <3
“Violet!” Pearl kicked Violet’s door, her hands filled with her computer. “Can I borrow your charger, Turbo just chew through mine, the little assholem and I have a fucking deadlin-” Pearl almost tripped over Frida, the woman not looking up as she was desperately trying to save the file she was working on. Pearl looked up, the breath getting knocked out of her. “Wow…”
Violet was standing in front of her mirror, a ruby dress hugging her body, the long sleeves covering her arms while her shoulders were out, Violet’s delicate collarbones on display, a slender gold chain decorating her neck, and Pearl felt her jaw hit the floor. Violet looked breathtaking.
“Pearl, hi.” Violet turned around, her hair done in the soft curls she had worn for the Vogue Fashion Fund, her lips the most kissable dark red, and Pearl flushed, the whole situation beyond embarrassing. “Did you want something?”
“What? Oh. Right.” Pearl felt like a schoolgirl, unable to focus on anything but Violet’s louboutins. “Can I borrow your charger?”
“Sure.” Violet bent down, quickly going through her Chanel before she pulled out the charger, handing it to Pearl, their hands touching.
“Thanks..” Pearl grabbed it and left, not looking back, her mouth dry.

"I can't wait for the party!" Raven sing-sang as she walked around her living room one more time, drink in hand, making sure everything was perfect. It was still a few hours until she had invited the guests, and the TV crew was going to come running any minute. Raven was practically vibrating with excitement, her party something she had looked forward to for weeks.
“Calm down, princess.” Raja smiled and took Raven’s drink from her, making Raven pout.
“Raaaj, you’re so mean.”
“I’m not mean, I’m trying to keep my little event planner sober until her big night actually starts.”
“Fiiiiine.” Raven sat down, Raja putting her arm around her and kissed her fiance's head.
As much as the woman made fun of each other, they were both incredibly detail oriented and meticulous whenever they threw any kind of happening. Even though Raven could have hired an event planner for her party, she wanted to do it all herself. Raja loved how secretly domestic Raven was, and how much she enjoyed entertaining their close friends in their home. For Raven, event planning gave her an excuse to obsess over every tiny detail. She had spent two weeks coordinating the charger plates with the floral arrangements when Fame had thrown a dinner, and for baby Grace’s christening, Raven had ruled it all with an iron fist. Jaslene had even asked Raven to help plan her wedding because of her taste and the care she put into planning everything.
Raven heard the doorbell, and jumped excitedly from Raja’s arms, running forwards the door. Raven had spent all day making sure that everything would work out, that the appetizers were in fact perfect, that her over the top Venetian hour dessert spread was beyond anything anyone had ever seen, and that the drinks matched up as they should. That and keeping track of the messages therapists, the nail technicians the spa personnel were all there and ready to work. All in all, this was  to be a lovely little girly party and Raven couldn't wait to begin.
“Hey, so where can we put all this stuff?”
Raven sneered as the camera man in question just walked straight into her home, the man barely wiping his shoes before he stepped onto her Pierre Frey carpet.
“Did your mom drop you as a baby?”
Raven was just about to go off, when Raja came into the hallway, her fiance grabbing her jacket from the hook before she leaned down to kiss Raven.
“Are you sure you’re not going to stay?”
“There isn’t enough money in the world.” Raja laughed, and Raven pouted, the two kissing again.
“Say hi to everyone from me?”
“I will.”
***
“Hey…” Courtney leaned on Bianca’s shoulder from behind, Courtney dressed up to the nines. “So I was thinking… Maybe I can some with you tonight, instead of to going to Raven’s…”
Bianca turned around and kissed Courtney’s cheek, lacing their fingers together. “Sounds good to me.”
“I wish,” Courtney groaned and peeled herself off Bianca, getting ready to go.
“What’s the matter? I thought those drunk bitches were your new BFFs, and hasn’t Raven been good, too?”
“Yeah, everyone’s been cool.” Courtney shrugged. “It’s her friends I don’t trust.”
“Well, they’re jealous, baby. I mean… You’ve got everything they want.” Bianca flashed her dimples.
Courtney laughed and rolled her eyes. “Yes, I know, I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”
Bianca kissed her neck. “Luck has very little to do with it…”
Giggling, Courtney slid her arms around Bianca’s shoulders. “To be honest, those cunts are probably a safer bet than Fame and Raja anyway.”
“That’s...accurate.”
***
"Ravey baby abre la puerta!" Jaslene yelled in Spanish from out in the hall where she had just been let in by a very confused cameraman.
"Raaave, where are you? We have the juice of your homeland!" Celia laughed as they dumped into the livingroom.
"Heeey!" Raven greeted as the two women enveloped her in a crushing hug.
"It's Ravey's bachelorette party!" Jaslene sang as she bounced on the balls of her feet.
"Yay Rave!" Celia squealed as she held he Russian woman tighter.
"I can't breathe," Raven wheezed out before Celia and Jaslene let her go, allowing her to take a deep breath. "Thank you."
"No problem," Celia chirped brightly with a brilliant smile, "We can't afford to have you pass out, and then endure your wrath for messing with the flow of your party."
"Because we all know how Raven is about her events." Jaslene said.
Raven laughed to herself, Celia and Jaslene looking around for the first time.
“Shit… You really outdid yourself this time Rave.”
The entire apartment had been transformed. Cascading waterfalls and lush floral arrangements lead the way to the bedrooms, where a rack of plush robes and slippers announced a full day spa with a nail salon, masseurs, and all kinds of beauty treatments.
The livingroom was a club/lounge with dance poles (governed by the one and only Mariah), a DJ, and a bartender mixing signature cocktails.
And in the dining room, three master pastry chefs were creating the most elaborate and divine desserts anyone had ever seen. Raven’s sweet tooth and grandiosity combined to form the greatest Venetian hour in history.
“Aww thanks Cece!” Raven beamed as the trio walked further into the room.
“It looks like, super professional.” Jaslene laughed, just before they heard the doorbell ring, more of the guests slowly arriving.
“You two go and get some snacks or a pre party facial,” Raven said brightly, “enjoy yourself, but most importantly, remember to enjoy Raja’s money!” ***
“Hey boo hey!” Jujubee greeted as soon as Raven opened the door to her home, the small asian woman smiling brightly.
“My little Juju!” Raven sang, giving her friend a big hug. “Hey Kelly belly,” she added as Kelly come into view, the teen looking mightily bored with the whole situation.
“Oh my god,” Kelly groaned as she hugged Raven before stepping into the condo. “Don't you think I've outgrown that name?” She whined pitifully while handing Raven a pink and gold gift bag.
“But you had such a cute little baby gut.”
“Wait, are those cameras?”
“Oh, right!” Raven smiled and grabbed the paperwork next that was laying on a little side table. “Courtney is filming Housewifes tonight, so you have to sign this.”
“Awesome!” Kelly reached out, ready to sign, but her mom grabbed her hand.
“Don’t even think about it Kelly Sanderson.”
“But moooom-”
“No.”
“Fine.” Kelly rolled her eyes, clearly displeased, but she gave up quickly, finding the beauty treatments on offer much more exciting.
“She gets it from her father,” Jujubee replied easily, putting her hands on her hips, easily signing the form herself.
“Ah, right...the other host of the evening. I wonder how he’s doing…” Raven chuckled to herself.
***
“The baby is finally sleeping,” Fame announced. “And now I think I understand why you invited us here, De.”
“That’s unfair. I invited you to celebrate Raja’s last few glorious days of singledom and reunite the group, all of us, …” Detox looked around and raised his glass, a smile on his face. “To Raja, and to the upcoming holidays.”
“Hear hear!” Sutan called, raising his beer bottle. Even though he and Raja were Muslim, he still absolutely loved christmas.
Patrick kissed Fame on the cheek and she leaned against him happily. Bianca rolling her eyes since she still hadn’t totally forgiven Patrick yet.
“So are you actually going to grill for us, or should I have a Postmates order ready to go?” Bianca asked, sipping her beer. They were all sitting in the livingroom, surrounded by toys and kids drawings.
“Oh ye of little faith!” Detox cried.
“Yeah, I feel like I literally just said I have no faith. None.” Bianca cackled, everyone laughing together. They could have gone out to celebrate Raja, but honestly all of them just wanted to stay in and spend time together, instead of going out and dealing with the public and the paparazzi.
Raja laughed and slung an arm around Bianca’s shoulders. “Let’s give him like an hour,” she said. “If there’s nothing edible by 7:30, then we can go for delivery.”
“Look, I had to give the monsters their dinner first, okay?” Detox smiled, Julia and Owen tucked up nicely in their room with Disney Channel on, the two beyond excited with the juice boxes and candy they got to share. “It’s done, so now I can fire up the grill!”
“You know it’s December, right? I’m just really skeptical of this whole plan.” Bianca dunked her beer, making Raja laugh, the woman clearly enjoying her friends’ argument.
“Let him do his thing, B. Stop being such a control freak,” Fame said.
“Oh I’m a control freak?! Said the bitch whose entire home is white.” Fame huffed and rolled her eyes while Patrick smirked, the state of their home and Fame’s choice in colorpalette often something their friends made fun of.
Suddenly two small creatures flew into the room and hurled themselves at the sofa.
“Holy shit!” Raja almost fell back as she was tackled, her arms filled with tiny twins, their mouths blue from their candy.
“YOU MADE A CURSE!” Julia giggled, pointing at Raja.
“How did you ever get used to that? I just got the wind knocked out of me!” Raja gasped.
“Oh, you never do.” Detox shook his head, easily picking up one of the twins, Owen settling down on his lap, the little boy looking around with wide eyes as Julia settled down on Raja’s lap.
“Bibi, where’s Courtney?” asked Julia, smiling at Bianca.
“She’s at Auntie Raven’s.”
“Oh. Where’s Auntie Raven?” Julia titled her head, looking at Bianca like she was trying to figure out a puzzle.
“She’s having another party. None of us are invited. It’s not for kids and it’s not for older people.”
“Isn’t that where Mommy is?” Julia said.
“Yes.”
“But she’s an older people.”
Sutan snorted, clearly entertained by Julia.
“She’s fun, though.”
“Oh yeah.” Julia laughed. Owen looked up.
“So you guys are having the boring party, and they have the fun party?”
Bianca reached for the little girl, tickling her. “Yes, exactly. Welcome to the boring party.”
***
“So remember, you’re supposed to get both of them to drink,” Jane instructed, as the sound guy strapped on Courtney’s mic pack.
“Yes, Jane.”
“A lot.”
“Yes, Jane.”
“We need a light, fun, turnt-up party sequence.”
“Got it, Jane.”
“But like, if they get emotional or cry or throw drinks, that’s awesome too.”
“Yes, Jane.”
“Basically, you know, the usual.” Jane winked and sent Courtney off towards the elevator, where she joined Adore, Alaska and Jinkx. Ramona and Sonja were still getting their mics placed, laughing and flirting with the cute sound guys.
“Jesus,” said Alaska. “Is she always so...”
“Yes,” Courtney sighed.
“You alright?” Adore asked.
“Yeah!” Courtney flashed a smile. “I’m always a little nervous with Raven et al… You know.”
“I thought you guys were like besties now?” Jinkx wondered.
“Well...I mean, yeah. But now her whole squad will be there, and the cameras. Those girls just love drama and they all blame me for Bianca firing her even though I had nothing to do with it - I actually still don’t even know what happened. But I did get Tati the job. And then there was all that drama at the Galactica show, which made it into the tabloid, and...but I mean, no, I’m sure it’ll be fine.”
Adore put an arm around Courtney’s shoulders. “Look, we got your back, babe. Plus, we’ll just drink heavily and try to get Sonja to go insane..”
“It doesn’t take much,” Courtney laughed, stepping out of the elevator and ringing Raven’s doorbell.
“Exactly!  Then the cameras will focus on that!”
“/Jane…/” hissed a voice over the walkie.
“/Yeah, Jeremy, I heard it./”
“/Want me to go start some shit with the models?/”
“/Of course I do, Jeremy./”
“/Copy that, boss./”
“Adore darling!” Raven greeted as she leapt at the younger woman as soon as she opened the door.
“Mother Russia!” Adore replied as Raven crushed her face in between her boobs as she hugged the shorter girl. “Your boobs are smothering me,” she wheezed out.
“Oops,” Raven said as she let Adore go. “Sorry, I just didn't think you were coming since I didn't hear from you,” She continued happily as she looked Adore up and down, “you look good, has your butt gotten bigger?”
“I texted you! I hope my plus two isn’t an issue,” Adore laughed.
“Of course not, the more the merrier. Hey, ladies, welcome,” Raven greeted Alaska and Jinkx with air kisses, and gave Courtney a hug. “Come see this,” Raven winked, leading them inside.
*
Violet pushed the door to the kitchen open, sneaking inside, a breath of relief leaving her as she found the kitchen blissfully empty besides the waiters who were thankfully ignoring her. As soon as Violet had walked into Raja and Raven’s apartment, Frida dropped off downstairs at Sutan’s, she had been cornered by a production assistant, the man bothering her with a photo release that Violet had refused to sign right away. There was no way in hell she was going to end up on TV, no matter how much Courtney and well... Bascially everyone around her seemed to think it was a good idea. Violet opened the cabinet and grabbed a glass of water, filling it with ice cold water. It was going to be a long, long, long night at the Amrull Petruschin household.
*
“Holy shit…” Adore breathed.
Raven laughed, putting an arm around Adore. “I decided my theme would be ‘Raven’s Favorite Things’...you know, like Oprah…”
“I mean, even for you, this is over the fucking top, dude,” Adore said, looking back and forth between the dance floor, the waterfalls, the pastry chefs, spa services...she snatched a crabcake piled with caviar from a passing tray.
“Thank you,” Raven fluttered her lashes in mock humility.
“Courtney, I think we found your homegirls…” Alaska said, gesturing to the dance poles, where Sonja and Ramona were drinking white wine and twirling around with no rhythm, accompanied by a beautiful black woman. She appeared amused by their antics though, holding a martini and laughing with them as they gyrated wildly.
“Courtneyyyyyyy!” Sonja screamed, pulling the younger blonde in for a hug.
“Hiya!” Courtney said, looking back at Adore and Alaska with a look of terror on her face, the cameraman in the corner of the room catching her expression perfectly.
“Come dance, baby! This gorgeous bitch, Mariah, is teaching us all these greaaaaat moves!” Sonja slurred.
“I think I need a drink or two to catch up,” Courtney laughed.
“I think I’m gonna go get a massage,” said Jinkx, turning around to leave the dancefloor as Courtney was dragged away.
“We can’t leave her!” Adore said, a whine in her voice.
“You can stay and get turnt with the ladies who lunch. Imma get a massage.” Jinkx kissed Adore on the forehead.
Alaska blew Adore a kiss and followed Jinkx. “Sorry, Lil’ Bear. You’ll understand when you hit your thirties…”
Adore rolled her eyes and grabbed two cocktails from a passing tray. “Here Courtney! Drink this!”
*** “Are you sure Raven wants me here, Allie?”
“Of course.” Allison smiled, her and Tatianna taking their jackets off, Allison quickly brushing a bit of snow out of Tatianna’s long black hair. “Everyone loves you.”
“If you say so.”
Allison took the releases they had been given. “So... Are you going to sign?”
“Do you think Sutan would forgive us if we didn’t?”
“Not really no.”
“Give it here then.”
Allison laughed and handed Tatianna a pen.
***
“Celia, right? And Jaslene?”
The girls looked up from their massage tables at the squirrely-looking man holding a clipboard, flanked by two cameramen. “Yeah…?” Celia said sweetly, with only a slight tinge of suspicion. She wasn’t going to be overtly rude even though she could tell this man had shady intentions. Screentime was screentime, after all.
“I just wanted to ask you about some history you have with one of our cast members...Courtney Act? She mentioned you in a confessional.”
Jaslene narrowed her eyes. “Oh really?”
“Well, she mentioned that her friend Tatianna knows you. Apparently Tatianna said that you were rude to her at a fashion show because Courtney had gotten her a job that you thought she’d stolen from the guest of honor? Is that true?”
Jeremy cocked his head as Jaslene looked at Celia. “Is that bitch Tati still talking about the fucking Galactica show, even after Allie has taken her under her wing?! And whining to Courtney about it? Who repeats it? I swear that bitch has no fucking sense.”
“Raven was right about her from the beginning. I can’t wait until Bianca dumps her basic Britney wannabe ass.”
Jeremy smiled, nodding to the cameras to keep rolling as he slowly backed away.
***
“See, I told you you’d like it!” Raven laughed. “Peachy crystal pink is the perfect shade for you!” Raven wiggled her fingers, her own nails filed and ready to dig into Raja’s back the moment she got the chance to jump her fiance.
Courtney giggled and spun around, finishing her drink. “You’re so lucky you can have long nails all the time.. These french tips look bitching on me.”
Bitching? Courtney was really drunk. Raven took her hand back, admiring the color. “Well. What can I say, it’s all part of life as a princess.”
Courtney’s mouth opened in an adorable O, the woman clearly ready to make it into an argument that Raven would love to pick apart piece by piece, but just then Adora came running, pulling Courtney away.
“Lighten up, bitch! Keep drinking!” Adore cried. “This is our song!”
“Fine, fine, fine!” Courtney laughed and got up, following Adore onto the dance floor that was filled with people that Raven knew, some better than others.
Raven leaned back in her chair, pulling her phone up to send Raja a picture of the makeup and hair the makeup artist had done on her.
“Don’t worry, we’ve got your back!”
Raven looked up, confused at Celia that had just sat down next to her, the blonde whispering to her and ruining her selfie session.
“Thanks, girl!” Raven replied, slightly puzzled, handing her a glass of champagne. “Cheers!”
Celia toasted her and then backed away, shooting an ice glare towards the dancefloor. Raven had no idea what was going on, but Raja had just viewed her snap, and that was all that mattered.

My Boyfriend is Selfish. Why Won’t He Change for Me?
My boyfriend, age 59, and I, age, 50, have been together 6 years. We were each previously in long term marriages and have kids.
During the course of our relationship there have been enough rough spots, many, I believe, stemming from his undiagnosed ADD, and perhaps even mild Aspergers, to push for counseling. After years of defensive resistance, we now see a therapist who diagnosed him, he is cautiously trying out different meds (with little effect thus far), and is helping us work toward a better relationship. The issues are his distractibility, impulsiveness, forgetfulness and frequent inability to see things from any perspective other than what works for him. Quite often our disagreements spiral down the proverbial rabbit hole. Weird, nonsensical, insensitive and incredibly frustrating. He has a difficult time processing concepts where the circumstances change and nuance is involved. It is sometimes maddening. And yet, I do love him – very much.
But I’ve also realized that who he is because of how his brain is wired might remain a constant source of frustration and angst. Me wishing he would just “get it”, and he resenting being reminded when he doesn’t. When things are good and I have his attention, I can’t fathom leaving the relationship. And other times, when care and consideration just take flight because something more exciting has caught his attention, I wonder – what am I doing here.
We are both highly educated, financially secure – he more-so (and then some) than me on both counts, well-traveled (something we do very well because I get the companionship I desire and he gets the stimulus he craves), well cultured, well read, politically aligned and family oriented. He is appreciative of me always, generous and genuine with his compliments, tells me and shows he loves me (when I have his attention) and wants to please me. He’s endlessly energetic (also exhausting), effortlessly outgoing (to the point of attention seeking), always up for something new (though sometimes ill conceived), great with my kids (he’s the fun Dad type), affectionate (sometimes in over-drive), handy, helpful (so long as it interests him), and easy-going (unless it interferes with his pursuit of pleasure). You get the idea. Some days he is the best and most wonderful person to be with, other days, it’s like watching a micro-burst of frenetic busy-ness while I’m stuck swinging at the top of a broken Ferris wheel.
Within the first year of our relationship he cheated on me while on a solo trip halfway around the world. Seems he just couldn’t resist the temptation of a pretty young thing at a party at his hotel the night before he flew home to see me – the girlfriend he missed.
Somehow, I knew he strayed. I asked repeatedly, and repeatedly, he lied. The nagging feeling lingered for months. I realized I’d not seen since his return the journal I had given him before he left – in which I lovingly inscribed “write it all down – share it with me” – as it was his habit – to keep little notebooks and jot down memorable tidbits. Months later, there was still no sharing. No journal in sight.
I found the journal sealed and tucked out of sight. The one night stand was succinctly but plainly noted, just another tidbit, referencing her age-25, “blue blood” and “spent the night”. His first reaction was not to console me, apologize or even express remorse. I was crying in a corner and instead of even approaching me, he announced from across the room how he should not write things down anymore. Huh???
He found it difficult to empathize and said he’d understand if I left him. Though he did everything I asked of him, missing was an intuitive understanding of what he could do on his own to make me feel better.
Fast forward to present day. Out of the blue he announced two days ago that he IS taking a SOLO two month trip around the world in a few months, to explore, surf and kiteboard in an “Endless Summer” experience – just because he is turning 60! He doesn’t seem to understand why I’m not fully trusting, or his enthusiastic cheerleader in this hedonistic self-absorbed pleasure driven adventure. He also doesn’t seem to understand why announcing this to his ex wife – not seeing their 12 yr old for two months – is going to result in legal fees for failure to comply with the detailed parenting plan in their divorce decree. It is ALL about him. I told him NONE of it was ok with me. Not the way he presented it as a done deal without even thinking about my reaction, Not the 2 month duration. Not with the trust issues, Not with a sense of nauseating entitlement that pursuit of this sort of pleasure was more important than his obligations to our relationship, his child, his family, his businesses, etc.
I told him if he pursued it I would lose all respect for him and he would lose me. He got defensive and angry and cast me as a controlling, leash tugging gate keeper – just trying to spoil his good time, but that he was doing it anyway. The next day, I wrote a letter detailing all the issues. He heard me, understood my points, and agreed with much of what I said. I’ve never spent two solid months with him, ever, not in 6 years. I see him 2 nights a week and every other weekend. He’s been away at his summer home most of the summer, and only occasionally with me when I make the effort to go to him. Otherwise, if it’s his time to be on the family compound he doesn’t leave.
This type of thing happens all too often. It’s like Jekyll and Hyde. This one, like the cheating, is among the worst.
Do I stay? Do I jump ship?
If it were not for his ADD that I believe leads him to these impulsive, random, illogical, impossible, reckless and insensitive thoughts and actions, I would have left long ago. It does not excuse his behavior – he is a grown up after all, but I have seen up close the strange and darker forces that can dominate his uniquely wired brain when that bright shiny thing is in the cross hairs of his pleasure seeking.
Thoughts, advice?
You get hundreds of letters. I know this one is WAY too long, but the telling was somewhat cathartic for me. So thanks for reading. I love your spot-on assessments. Your wife is lucky to have a consistent thinking, feeling, empathetic life partner.
Kind regards,
Alison
“If your aunt had balls, she’d be your uncle.”
I said that last night to the women in Love U in response to a similar question about a man who was not living up to expectations.
My client was wondering what to do with this guy – whether she should cut bait, how to get him to change – and I simply pointed out something crude I heard from my wife twelve ago.
What it means is that it may be only one change, but that one change fundamentally alters the essence of the object:
If your aunt had balls, she’d be your uncle.
If Ted Bundy didn’t murder people, he’d be a really charming guy.
If Ted Bundy didn’t murder people, he’d be a really charming guy.
If your boyfriend were less selfish, he’d be an amazing catch.
But he’s not.
You know it. I know it. Anyone reading this email knows it.
   a. He doesn’t want to change. He likes who he is.
   b.  He doesn’t have to change. You’ve stuck with him for six years despite this behavior. Why would he think that this time would be any different?
   c.  He can’t change. Whether it’s old dog/new tricks, ADD or, as I suspect, narcissistic personality disorder, it doesn’t matter. This is who he is. Take it or leave it.
Like our president, your boyfriend is an overgrown child who acts out but doesn’t pay any price for his selfishness.
Since there are no consequences to his behavior, he keeps acting out – whether it’s cheating, failing to find empathy, or taking off for two months without you.
You can make all the excuses in the world for him – what a great man he is – how charming, fun, and energetic – but that is just to ignore his big design flaw: he’s a shitty partner.
Thus, it doesn’t matter how much you like him when things are good.
How do you like being a second-class citizen within your own relationship?
If you don’t like it, get out.
If you stay, don’t expect things to change.
You’ve already taught him that he can get away with whatever he wants and you’re not going to do anything about it.

Dating issues forum
Dating advice (guest_g) I used to do the same thing to the point where I never beleived enough in myself so I kept asking for answers from other people.  The issues you mentioned communication, making plans, going out in public are very common difficulties for people with sz.  Waiting does feel hopeless, but if you can rest on the fact that nothing has really changed between you, and you're still friends - maybe you won't feel so anxious.  I have a friend who is a teacher, and is pretty much jumping through her own butthole taking care of everything before the kids go on Christmas break.  I've never seen people change, never.  If you or someone close to you is currently in crisis or in an emergency situation, contact your local law enforcement agency or emergency number.
Dating With Loss Issues My point, is that she was attracted to you at first for a reason.  A disclaimer is a smart addition to a forum, particularly if the forum addresses topics related to making money or health issues.  Are looking to offer our free online articles, 27.  Just see what happens and know that you didn't do anything out of the ordinary or weird.  Yea I really have to listen to myself to find out what I want to do and just do that.  Benefits you will get by joining LiveDating.
Free Online Dating Forum She may not want a relationship right now, or could be really too busy for a relationship.  But then hey I tried, now she would call back if she was interested.  We do our best to try and help you find your own answers.  Forum is the best place, if you want to verify you own ideas and you want to gain some new ideas.  Traditionally, forums were jointly liable for these infringing posts, but no longer.  The hosts of the channel and web forums and other guests assist you with problems or questions that you may have regarding relationships and other socially oriented questions.  Share any tips, covering computing, mac and am hardly ever interested in a permanent ban.
Young Women's Issues Forum Tickets, Sat Apr 6, 2019 at 8:00 AM Members make a forum valuable.  You should feel like her equal and that there is a good balance of give and take in the relationship.  Networking opportunities No matter how long these relationships are in your life, everything comes to the end, eventually.  It's ok to feel disappointed if you don't hear from her, but it's not the worst that can or could happen.  Most attorneys suggest forming the business entity first.
The Top 5 Realities of Dating Someone With a Mental Illness Forums represent perhaps the most successful platform in the history of the Internet.  If your forum is named as a defendant in a lawsuit, you will need to pay an attorney to defend the legal action.  I don't care about people who find it easy to hurt others at their moments of vulnerability.  Telstra provides telecommunications solutions including apple, sex advice forum where readers get a dating forum contains 13611 topics.  Thats a huge step in personal growth for you.  It only confused me more after awhile.  Disclaimers — learn to love them! We all have those things about us that are not going to change and that our perfect partner will either appreciate or will learn to live with and those who suffer from mental illness are no different.
Dating advice (guest_g) The best thing about is that you doesn't take the extra effort to build the relationship.  And there is no appropriate way out, you are single again.  But you got out there - out of your comfort zone.  The more open with your feelings, the more he will feel that they can share with you.  Give me give you read the best dating websites.
Dating advice (guest_g) Finally, keep in mind some online forums golden rules: be active and respectful, helpful and engaging, give value and what is the most important — don't spam.  For the love of God, get your forum legal documents drawn up professionally.  You never know who your perfect partner might be so stay open to all of the possibilities! Have questions or concerns about your significant other, coworkers, family, or just relationships in general? The status of your friendship wasn't changed by that.  I have been dating a guy in his early thirties for two years who has Schizophrenia.  The subject matter of your forum will determine the specific rules of conduct for members.  About Us is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, grief support community on the internet.  An insurance policy pays for any judgments rendered against the forum in a court of law as well as the fees an attorney will charge to defend the lawsuit.
Dating With Loss Issues I wonder if a good therapist even exists who can really make a person change.  I can't even imagine going out with someone.  I lose that, and so this person that I liked and wanted to please became confused about me as well.  The program will provide opportunities for members to examine specific case studies, to engage in critical analysis and discussion in small groups, and to benefit from the personal wisdom of leaders who have recent experience managing crises.  When a member posts the content on your forum, they are often committing copyright infringement.  The privacy policy should detail how you collect information from people that visit the forum, how the information is secured and what is done with the information in relation to sharing it with third parties.  There's a fundamental problem when I have to ask people on what to do which is - I dont know what to do.

very nice design, appealing to underwater enthusiasts, too far of a distance is not much content yet, not sure though read a blog that reminds us that it’s not far. Everything started with a dream, we wish it to continue. (Notice especially the writings of Cape Town)
55. By the way notes
by the way notes, current news, advice, and a blog with guest writers is slowly growing. Seval hasn’t had much time since this blog turned. I think it would be more beautiful with more content in the future. Especially Mardin remarkable post.

Falling in love with someone...
*Fantasy. Based on real stories from my life and people around me. All put in a form of a fantasy story*
2.
As days pass I forget the ‘finding love’ mission and start enjoying with my new friends. Within a week we have a group of two guys (and a third wanting in) and three girls. We realize our department has not been taking part in activities for years and so our department is considered nerdy or boring. Our group is different. That’s why I like them. We are into studies as well as into partying. When it’s time to study we keep it strict. Well, my friend Ella is more about partying than serious stuff. Molly is more like an elder sister who makes sure we don’t loose ourselves. Maybe more so because his brother, Mica, is also a part of our group. The guys are natural at studies. Mica is a very logical mind and is family oriented. Miles is the opposite, creative and enjoys friends’ company more. We make a good team. Helping each other with the things we are not good at ourselves.
A couple of days back a few students from ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) department come to ‘extremely casually’ inform us about the coming fun workshop. Nothing major just participate for yourself. We could tell by the way they explained the details that they were not expecting anyone from us to show interest. We were new so didn’t act all excited. Asked a few details only. In our break time our university coordinator came to us and said he wanted us to take this seriously, "I think you can bring back the excitement to this department, BBA." (Bachelors in Business Administration).
So, today here we are. After the workshop we are given an activity: each of us is to come to the front of the room and answer a few questions. The questions to be asked are explained. There will be three questions. The first, “Sell yourself. Why should a company hire you”. Second, “You’ll be given a product name. Explain the qualities of the product as if it was your friend”. Third, “Convince a tough customer to buy a product with reason”.
Oh this seems interesting! What is even more interesting is the kind of funny people taking part. People actually talking about their biceps or abs to tell an employer why they should hire them. Really? Initially we were very nervous, Molly and me. Ella was just sure she’d nail it. Mica and Miles were trying to calm us down and explain the questions; occasionally commenting on the other participants. We could never stay serious, always laughing. After seeing the stupid responses, we know whatever we said would be better.
My friends went up one by one. Ella obviously played around more than actually answering the questions. Nevertheless it was fun. Molly answered soberly and really thoughtfully. Then I volunteered. For the first question I took the cliche approach, showing off.
“I am a hardworking person. Once I set my mind to something I only let it go once done. I can handle pressure…”
“What do you mean by handling pressure? You can lift heavy objects?”, the ACCA student conducting the workshop interrupted jokingly. I chuckled and continued, “Well, even though my physique doesn’t look promising I can surely lift heavy stuff! I’m not kidding. You can test right now.” I gave off a confident wave in answer to the first part of the interview.
“But since I’m not applying for such a position, this doesn’t matter really. I’ll get back to what really can help you if you hire me. I have leadership qualities and I’m not saying this in self praise only. I have actually conducted workshops myself on various levels and even given lectures. I have an experience in event management. I have arranged events from small scale to one large scale event too…”
“You’re applying for an HR position I suppose?”. I nodded. He smiled and gestured me to continue.
“ I am gifted with the ability to deal with tough people. I have had experience with many types of people so I can comfortably relate with people. You can expect me to be professional when discussing business and be relaxed when it’s time to party. I don’t mind speaking my mind if it’s for someone’s good, in this case for your company. You still want to know why you should hire me?”, I ended with a proud smirk.
“You’re hired!”, he said with a clap. Everybody in the room started hooting and clapping. I remember thinking only if it were this easy for an actual interview, I might have gotten a real job! Man I really want one.
“Okay so for the next part. The product for you is… hmm..”, I thought to myself Prada. I know he’ll say Prada. I just do. “Prada! How about that.”
“I knew you’d say that! I knew it!”, I laughed out loud.
“Hmm, well, my friend’s name is Prada. Starting from how she looks as that’s the first thing you see. She has a way of being. Her style even when she’s walking, talking, moving, or doing just anything is so different and classy. Prada normally wears clothes that aren’t revealing but not completely covered either. She likes to keep herself a little mystery for people to solve. She has a strong athletic body, she’s tall and has long, thick straight hair….”
“I think I know her”, Miles spoke up, grinning.
“Prada is not just a beautiful person in how she looks, she also has a beautiful soul. She doesn’t think high of herself even though she’s most deserving of praise. She empathizes with everyone. She has a very colorful personality but that doesn’t stop her from being mature. Being Prada’s friend will mean you not only have a shoulder to cry on but also someone you can call late night to go for a drive. She is very passionate, confident, fierce and makes sure to leave an impression wherever she goes. Prada has a heart of gold, so sweet and loving, you’ll definitely want to be her friend”.
“I already am and I like her”, Miles added once again supporting me. Someone else in the room said, “I want to be her friend too”. Then came more such ‘proposals’. "Is she on Instagram, Snap chat?"
“You’re clever. You just explained yourself”, my teacher, who was a judge there, commented.
“What? I wish!!”, I replied. It was somewhat true. I explained who I thought I was and who I wanted to be, not who I was though.
The last requirement was to sell an imaginary ice block to someone who uses modern refrigerator. Good Lord! That’s dumb. Why am I even selling ice blocks on the road? Anyway, even though the teacher had winked at a volunteer ‘customer’ to give me a tough time I still managed to sell it to him. Though I preferred a better ending than the customer pitying me to buy it *rolls eyes*, I was glad my never ending turn was over.
Then came Miles who took it as lightly as Ella and then Mica. He actually took it seriously and answered with great detail. People really liked our answers and seemed to enjoy them.
After the workshop ended, the ACCA guy, Sean, came to me and said, “Your group was awesome. I’ve never met such exciting people in BBA”.
“Probably if you start being open, more people would come forward. We are just way too informal to care about your initial attitude so we came", I replied sarcastically.
“Ouch. Well I’ll keep that in mind”, he flirted.
“Hmm good”, I smiled.
“So if you guys are free….”
Ella answered, “Yup we are! What’s the plan?”
“Subway?”
We all agreed and had our first party. It was really fun. I liked their group too. They liked ours. Before leaving we made another plan for a next time two weeks from that day. My friends started teasing me that Sean liked me. I didn’t think so.
Our teachers were really happy with us and by the time we got back, stories had already spread about our group’s ‘awesomeness’.
Even though I had stopped worrying about finding love in the back of my mind somewhere a thought always scanned guys who took interest in me.

This was one the most memorable days of my university life.
