my dear group one ♡ if you were a deity, you would be one with the power of resurrection. you would be able to raise people, animals, and all other forms of natural life from the dead. for some, this power of resurrection is much like that of the christian god who, most noticeably, resurrected jesus christ. for others, this power of resurrection comes more in the form of persephone's, who, with her appearance, 'resurrects' the world by bringing forth spring.

as a deity, you would be known for being somewhat of a frugal and humble god. i'm thinking of xie lian from heaven official’s blessing by mxtx, who often closely involves himself in the matters of humans even when he should not. even at the risk of his godhood. you would be known as a god who goes out of your way for your worshippers, with your worshippers knowing that any attention they give to you you will give back to them tenfold. a deity who would rather live in ruins, amongst nature, than in a mansion - and, thus, you would be a deity of the common people.

your followers would worship you with flowers and offerings of honey. using these things to primarily ask you to help them with as they embark on new avenues. much like lord ganesha must be worshipped before one starts something new, this is how and why your followers would worship you. coming to you to ask you to ‘resurrect’ and bring life into their new businesses, new jobs, new career opportunities, and new academic pursuits more than anything else.

once again, your followers would mostly consist of common people. these are humble people who want to better their lives, and the lives of the people around them. as you are seen as a selfless deity, you may have a reputation of being a deity who helps selfless people above anyone else. and so you will attract worshippers who are family and community oriented; worshippers who want to use the wealth and success you bless them with primarily for the betterment of others -- for example, worshippers who ask you to bless them with new job opportunities so that they may better look after their aging parents, or worshippers who ask you to bless their charity organisation so that they may truly uplift the community.

my dear group two ♡ as soon as i pulled your first two cards, the goddess lakshmi came to mind, who, upon consideration, is much like the queen of pentacles herself. you would be a deity with the power to bring success, abundance, and prosperity into your follower’s lives. as a deity, you would be abundance personified, and everything you touch turns to gold -- metaphorically, of course. your power is so great that you could turn a single grain into a field of wheat, ready to harvest; a single dollar into a fortune; a house into a home; a cold-hearted businessman into a humble monk devoted to spirit.

you may be known as one half of a pair of deities, much like lord krishna and radha or zeus and hera. that you are partnered with another powerful deity makes you even more loved and revered by your worshippers; makes you even more powerful in their eyes. you will be known as a deity of love. as a deity who does anything for the sake of love and in the name of love. as a deity who is moved by the love of others.

story may pass, from worshipper to worshipper, of times when you went above and beyond for lovers. of times when you were so moved by a lover's desperate pleas that you granted them a great boon.

thus, many of your worshippers may be young lovers who come to you to ask you to bless them in love, to bless their marriages, and to keep their lovers safe. your worshippers may have an idealised image of you, as this supreme love deity -- the love deity above all love deities -- and while this may not be why you primarily made yourself known to humanity you will be moved by their love -- too moved to ever truly ignore or deny them. they may be a bit naive, and you may often try to open their eyes to the realities of life without jading their hearts to the beauty of love.

once your worshippers start to worship you, they cling to you. even people who may have hopped from deity to deity, going to whoever may provide a certain blessing at a certain time in their life, will stick to you, loyally, until they die.

my dear group three ♡ if you were a deity, you would have the power of flight, as well as the power to communicate with and command flying animals -- birds, primarily, but also flying animals significant to the culture of which you belong. you will also have the power to appear to people in their dreams, and it is through dreams -- and visions -- that people will receive your messages.

you may not have many devout worshippers, but that is how you like it. you are a nomadic deity, who finds greater pleasure in travelling from place to place and helping whosoever may need your help, rather than confining yourself to a singular place of worship and to only helping those who ask for you specifically.

you seem like a mysterious deity. one who works in secret. you will often go to temples and places of worship that are not devoted to you, listen to prayers that are not meant for you, and grant blessings to people whose prayers have gone unheard by the deity they were meant for. the old man who spent the last ten years asking vishnu to please be reunited with the son he was separated from? you will grant him this boon before he passes. the young woman who spent the last three months asking artemis to please bless her with a job? you will grant her this boon. the girl who spent the last year praying to god to please bring her mother a good partner? you will grant her this boon.

you will do all this selflessly. never taking credit. happy enough just to have done a good deed and brought a blessing to someone who you see as most deserving of it. you will go from place to place, playing your flute -- or instrument of choice -- doing what you can in any way you can.

though while you may never take credit, there may always be signs that it was you who answered this prayer instead of another deity. a particular scenario is coming to mind, at this point where i asked what your worshippers would be like: a young man joyfully tells a priest of how his prayer has finally been answered by god. this priest listens to him, with a gentle, knowing smile. when he finishes, answering the priest's leading questions here and there, this priest says, "why, that was not [god] but rather [group three]."

people will have specific dreams before they are about to be granted a blessing by you. wake up with a strange, particular feeling. they will see birds or a particular bird that is associated with you. signs of you will be all around them but, as you are not a particularly well-known god, they will disregard it as coincidence or find a way to attribute it to their deity of choice.

because of how little-known you keep yourself, many of your followers may be older spiritual people who have devoted themselves to the pursuit of god. priests, monks, religious teachers, intellectuals and avid readers, not the average layperson. there may not be any temples devoted to you, but your worshippers will keep shrines to you neat and clean. doing anything to keep memory and worship of you alive, in any small way possible.

my dear group four ♡ as a deity, you will have the power to grant eternal youth and immortality to others. in some instances, this power may take the form of you ensuring that your worshippers gain immortality and live on through their works and legacy. the fool is a card of new beginnings, limitless potential, and youthfulness, and this manifests as you being a deity of the dead. or a deity of the underworld. ushering souls from one world to the next. preparing souls to transition from one life to the next life, or from life to the afterlife.

of all the groups, your messages have been the hardest to channel. and this is likely because of the nature of the deity you would be. this god of death. a god enshrouded in mystery. a god who would be revered and feared in equal parts, with many things you are known for being misconception and misunderstanding. or from an unwillingness to research or understand you for fear that this would welcome you -- and, thus, welcome death -- into one's life.

much like hades, you would be worshipped as part of funeral rites and rituals. you may have a small devout cult of worshippers, but generally, most people worship you only when they are faced with death. they worship you on their deathbed, asking you to make their death a peaceful one and guide them to a peaceful afterlife. they worship you, desperately, at the bedside of their loved ones. they worship you in the days after a death.

as a god of death, the afterlife, and the underworld, perceptions of you would be conflicted. you would be seen as a fair but cruel deity, as, of course, you are only doing what you must to keep the natural order of the world in line. you are only doing what you must do. but death is cruel. and in the throes of grief, people may often curse at you, asking, "how could you do this? how could you let this happen?" even when they understand that this is what must happen.

most hold disdain for you. others a fearful respect for you; a distant awe.

your worshippers, on the other hand, will be people who, in accepting the inevitability of their death, truly love life. they may dress in dark colours and be cult-like in their worship of you, keeping the true worship practices of you private and passed directly from worshipper to worshipper or family member to family member. your worshippers may have a reputation for being dark, evil, or demonic -- when, much like you, they are simply misunderstood.

i envision your followers gathering in a forest to dance, laugh, and engage in worship of you. depending on the sect, they may make sacrifices to you, in the form of slaughtering animals, offering up their own blood and life force, and promising their lives to you.

plot: jaehyun and lian decide to make a video for the “domino lovers challenge” going around on tiktok.

“oppa, come do this tiktok with me!” lian excitedly waved her hand around to catch jaehyun’s attention, him almost immediately whipping his head in her direction.

she and jaehyun had been dismissed from 127’s meeting at the sm building, and now they were waiting patiently in the hallways for the rest of their members to finish up.

the music to “domino lovers” by jessie j sounded out of lian’s phone, her and jaehyun scrolling through a few videos under the sound.

“oh- they’re doing apink-sunbaenim’s choreography!” jaehyun came to the conclusion after finishing another video.

“yes~ so can we do it?” jaehyun nodded with his dimpled smile, grabbing the phone and analyzing the dance moves. “let’s practice a couple times, okay?”

it was lian’s turn to nod, her own dimples peeking out in the process of smiling at him. jaehyun was so lucky his hat had been covering his ears — they were for sure bright red.

jaehyun rested her phone on a ledge nearby and the two of them began dancing the music, practicing the moves until they perfected it.

“okay! i think we’re done now, right?” they both agreed that they were ready to film the tiktok. lian ran over to the ledge and grabbed her phone to go into the setting where they can film themselves.

she fixed up the timestamp of the music and set a timer, jogging back to jaehyun who was already in position. lian noticed his mask was a little bit below his nose, quickly adjusting it for him the minute the music started.

they danced to the choreography and were able to reach a couple seconds into the song, but haechan, who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, popped up in between them and broke them apart from each other during the part where jessie j sings, “dirty dancing in the moonlight.”

lian widened her eyes, slapping a hand over her heart and busting out in giggles, whereas jaehyun watched from the sidelines while mark jumped around in the back, respectively waiting for the chaos to be over.

“yah! hyuck-” lian cut herself off to stop the music from playing and grabbing her phone. “let me see, let me see!” mark rushed over to her so he could see what they caught on camera.

lian saved it to the drafts on nct’s tiktok account and viewed it from there. the four members all laughed when haechan and mark appeared behind them, finding it funny she and jaehyun never noticed the two walking out the door of the conference room.

“we’re showing this to the hyungs.” haechan piped up. “oh, speaking of, what’s taking them so long in here? is something wrong?” jaehyun questioned, a little concerned.

“uhh, no. there’s nothing wrong, probably just talking about something. to be honest, i’m not sure.” mark nodded his head after explaining.

almost on command, the rest of the members exited the conference room in a large group, lian running over to them excitedly. “oppas!” she jumped into johnny’s arms.

“calm down, we saw you like, five minutes ago.” he laughed.

“what was taking you so long? lian and i made a whole tiktok waiting for you guys.” jungwoo and taeil gasped, walking over to lian so they could see what her and jaehyun made.

“oh, just my solo project, doyoung’s drama — that kind of stuff.” taeyong confirmed with a smile, also walking over to lian so he could see the tiktok as well.

yuta, who’s been by lian’s side the minute the meeting ended, laughed at the failed tiktok dance and high-fived haechan as a joke. “nice job, hyuck.” he chuckled.

doyoung uploaded the tiktok for them with the hashtags needed, noticing how lian wanted to go talk to the other members. “okay! who wants lunch?” taeyong beamed.

“me, me, me, me!” haechan and lian both shouted in sync, now suddenly racing to the van waiting outside for them. “ow, no pushing!” haechan’s yelp could be heard from outside.

“god, those kids. lian, your phone is still in my hand!” doyoung scolded, though she wouldn’t hear him.

Lian was born in Shanghai, China where she would grow up with her single mother and two younger brothers. Her brothers were promising athletes, and sports were their passion. But Lian was always drawn to music. Her mother signed her up for music lessons, and she studied composition. Lian learned how to play the piano and violin. She entered a global audition in China, and signed with SM. She moved to Korea in 2016, away from home for the first time but finally getting to do what made her happy. Make music.

Personality

Lian is NCT’s soft bean maknae. She’s adorable in every sense of the word. She cares about others a lot and is always trying to be there for her members/friends. At first meeting, she’s shy shy shy and takes a bit to open up. But once she’s comfortable, the outgoing parts of her come out. She’s super cheerful, empathetic, and optimistic, always hypes everyone up. But she has a chaotic side too: she is a notorious prankster and has fooled everyone at least once. Since she’s their cute Maknae, she never gets in trouble of course. Her biggest flaws are her tendencies to over-analyze things and just how petty she can be when upset.

TAEIL + LIAN: IL-LI

taeil used to wake her up for school when she was still a teenager :((

such a soft but overlooked duo

will appreciate each other forever and ever

lian teaches him roasts in english that he can say to johnny

remain each other’s hype man and woman

taeil was the first to suggest he and the other nct members react to the trailers of her dramas on video so they can boost them in popularity

promotes the HELL out of lian’s solo career over twitter

lian loves coming up behind him and just giving him hugs because he’s soft (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞

they watch movies together a lot! but taeil has to come down to the fifth floor because lian hates it up on the tenth one

he was once able to grab her hand in an airport and they held hands the entire time :(( a few pictures went a little viral

they share hoodies NSHDHSHCJA

lian keeps bugging him to get an instagram

taeil will ALWAYS take her side in silly arguments she and the other members have sometimes

he makes fun of her height because she’s shorter than him-

because of how lian dies during the trailer of her new drama, johnny cried in front of twenty-two other men while they reacted to it

it was said on the zach sang show that johnny used to measure her height every month to see if she grows or not, and that’s the only reason why he has her height memorized

as the leader, he’s always taking care of her and will not sleep until he knows for sure she’s eaten

because of how lian never participated in any of nct’s first bit of promotions due to being too uncomfortable around them, she was allowed to skip out on the viewings of their relay video letters

but she was still required to make one for somebody and that somebody was taeyong ˵ ຈ ︿ ຈ ˵

she said that she was glad he was her leader and that she hoped to become closer one day

he cried

declares that he will take care of lian till the day he dies

taeyong had yelled at lian’s former manager until he voluntarily quit working for her- he had found out that lian was being overworked to the point where she collapsed during their dance practice and he wasn’t okay with it

always cheering her on backstage when she performs solo

he always tries to include her in guiding the members for their dances because he knows how happy it makes her

instead of having her carry her glasses around with her, he does it instead :D

taeil loves patting the top of her head! he’s been known to be made fun of for his height within the group before, and now that he’s able to make fun of lian’s height just as much as the other members do to him, he pats her head as a way of reassurance that he’s only joking around with her. his head pats normally follow after, “yah look at this shorty!” along with a quick poke to the cheek. but then again he just does it for fun sometimes as well.

𖧧࣪⠀⌗ winking at her — JOHNNY!

when johnny first winked at her jokingly, he noticed that a big smile had spread across her face as she looked away from him. he knows that lian has her own habit of checking her surroundings while somewhat zoned out and he takes that to his advantage. when he realizes she’s doing her annual “look around,” he winks in her direction to get her award winning grin.

𖧧࣪⠀⌗ praising her — TAEYONG!

this has been a habit of his ever since he first found out that she needs a lot of reassurance in order to keep going on with her daily activities, which was all the way back in their trainee days. he used to praise her for doing the bare minimum when she would actually spend time with the rest of nct, but now it’s just become a habit he can’t seem to kick. she could be walking and he’d automatically say, “look at her go!” it may not be out loud, but he’s certainly cheering her on in his head.

yuta is very touchy-feely, which is great because lian is also very touchy-feely. he loves clinging onto her and hugging her until he’s actually pried away from her by one of the other members. he also enjoys resting his head on her shoulder while his hands have a very firm grip around her waist to make sure she doesn’t go anywhere. yuta normally knows when to let go if lian ever pats his hand as a signal that she wants to have some space for a while.

𖧧࣪⠀⌗ fixing her clothing — DOYOUNG!

everyone knows that doyoung is arguably the most protective member towards lian, and with that comes making sure she’s covered up an appropriate amount. at first he was just adjusting her dresses so they don’t end up riding too high up her legs or simply tying her shoe laces for her if she’s just too lazy to bend down and do it herself, but it had become a habit that he’s begun to do on a daily basis. he picks the loose threads on her hoodies, fixes the collars of her shirts for her and even pulls her sleeves over her hands if he believes it’s too cold outside. lian hasn’t tied her own shoes in over two tears, by the way.

𖧧࣪⠀⌗ poking her dimples — JAEHYUN!

now lian’s dimples may not be as deep as jaehyun’s, but they’re still visible. lian’s small dimples were one of the first things that he’d actually noticed about her, other than the fact that she smelled amazing. one thing is for sure and that’s that they weren’t the two closest members, and jaehyun had been wanting to poke those adorable indents in her cheeks for so long, but never had the courage to do so. but when lian had decided to poke his dimples, he thought it’d be okay for him to do the same to her. now every single time they hug, they have to poke each other’s dimples. that’s even how they greet each other :)

𖧧࣪⠀⌗ playing with her fingers — WINWIN!

this was a habit he developed while promoting with nct 127 in america, as he was always pretty nervous. for a reason people still don’t know, lian was often placed in the back even though she was an english speaker. and because she was placed in the back, she would be standing next to winwin. lian noticed how he would occasionally fidget in his spot and play with his own hands, so she let him play with her fingers in order to keep him calm. it’s went on since 2018 and now he just does it out of instinct.

𖧧࣪⠀⌗ squishing her cheeks — JUNGWOO!

nobody knows how he started doing this, but jungwoo just loves her cheeks. he finds them to be super squishy and soft and calls them, “little dumplings” :( he tends to do it at random times in order to catch her off guard because he thinks it’s so cute when her eyes go all big and bright.

𖧧࣪⠀⌗ fiddling with her hair — MARK!

mark’s obsession with lian’s hair is SO ADORABLE >:( he’s always seen playing around with strands of her hair and adjusting her bangs for her (if she has them). he hates it when the stylists put her in extensions because there are times where it doesn’t even look like her own hair and it doesn’t have the same silky texture lian’s hair normally has, and he’s in love with her breast length hair at the moment. if mark is bored, he’ll go over to lian and twirl her hair around his pointer finger or he’ll hug her just to smell the shampoo scent at the top of her head. it’s devastating.

haechan orignally only did this to mess with her but after realizing how many cute habits that lian had herself, he decided to the same things she does after she does it :( sometimes it’s to make fun of her but most of the time he just says, “cute~” after it. this normally occurs after lian eats something she finds to be enjoyable because she tends to wave her arms around in ᵗⁱⁿʸ font while making an “mmm” sound, which everyone finds so adorable. he usually does the same and then coos at her afterwards.

warning: mild cursing, jaehyun has a bit of a breakdown :(

after finishing up a movie night with taeil, johnny exits the older male’s room and strolls into the hallway of nct 127′s tenth floor. it was around two in the morning and he knew that if he were to arrive back at his dorm any later, taeyong would sure as hell nag at him in the morning.

he had to pass jaehyun and jungwoo’s shared room in order to get to the door, but what made him stop in his tracks were the hushed noises coming from the other side. it almost sounded like... crying? he was hesitant to enter at first, afraid of invading anyone’s privacy, but something was definitely going on and he couldn’t help but become curious.

knocking quietly to ensure the entire dorm didn’t wake up, he gently turns the knob and walks in. the curtains were shut and the lights were off, but he was able to make out a figure on jaehyun’s bed, presumably jaehyun himself, sitting up with their back against the wall.

“jaehyun, is that you?” johnny squinted his eyes in attempt to see any better, but it was a lost cause as the room was basically pitch black. shuffling followed soon after his question, and before he knew it, a white light illuminated the room. jaehyun backed away from the desk lamp and sat down in his bed.

johnny noticed the faded circles beneath his eyes and the redness surrounding his irises. had he really been crying?

“a-are you okay? have you been crying?” jaehyun looked up and slowly shook his head, denying such thing. johnny made a face, indicating that he knew jaehyun was lying.

he sighed and rubbed his hands up and down his face. he couldn’t cry in front of johnny. but he couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down his cheeks, no matter how rough he tried to wipe them away, they wouldn’t stop falling.

johnny didn’t know what to do, watching as his best friend slowly but surely began to fall apart in front of him, frantically trying to hide his emotions by harshly rubbing at his face to calm down. johnny sat on the bed beside him, patting his shoulder as a sign of reassurance.

“do you wanna talk about it?” he momentarily looked at jungwoo’s side of the room, remembering that he and lian planned to have a sleepover tonight. that was pretty convenient for jaehyun.

“h-hyung, what do i-i do about lian?” johnny took a while to answer. what did he mean? “what do you mean? did something happen?” jaehyun shook his head in defeat as he looked down at his hands.

“i can’t keep hiding my feelings, i can’t. sitting on the sidelines while yuta flirts with h-her hurts so bad.” johnny knew he had a little bit of a crush on her, no doubt, but was this so-called crush actual feelings?

“well then, why don’t you tell her how you feel? you guys would be great together!” jaehyun looked at him as if he were stupid. tell her how he feels? was he insane?

“i can’t do that? what if she rejects me? if she rejects me, our friendship will be ruined and with that, our entire group will slowly fall apart because of how awkward it’ll be with the two of us in the same room.”

“okay, that will never happen. even if she doesn’t return your feelings, she will never let your friendship fall apart.” he reassured his best friend, hoping that what he said made him feel even the slightest bit better.

it didn’t.

“no, that’s the thing! i don’t wanna be just friends with her anymore, okay? i don’t even remember when i started feeling this way, it began so long ago. i’m tired of waiting for the right moment, i’m tired of watching her get her heart broken by guys that don’t know how to appreciate her. why can’t she just see how much i love her?”

jaehyun was crying again.

johnny watched the tears fall down his face, he watched how jaehyun tucked his knees into his chest, and the way his heavy breathing bounced off the walls of the small room was almost scary. what was johnny supposed to do in this situation?

“god- this fucking sucks.” he choked on his own tears, finally making eye contact with the man he just poured his entire heart out to.

“hey, calm down. you’re gonna get her, okay? one way or another, i’m gonna make sure of it.” a soft smile tugged at the corner of jaehyun’s lips, mirroring johnny’s bright grin as he tried to lighten the mood.

no matter how hard jaehyun tried, he couldn’t believe johnny’s words, even with the fake smile painted on his face, there was no way this promise was going to stick.

it’s lianna bae, they were talking about. no one was good enough for her, not even jaehyun.

JI SOO

lian once thought of this guy as one of her role models in terms of acting

like she used to watch him constantly, and she’d always wanted the chance to act with him one day

and that day finally came, when she was cast as a female lead in a new and upcoming drama alongside ji soo back in 2018

the older man was nothing like how she originally thought; he was snarky towards the staff, towards his fellow cast mates, and to her

he would tell her that she was doing everything wrong, and he would constantly give her attitude

ji soo thought that because lian was still a rookie actress, he was allowed to push her around and treat her as if she was a servant

she dreaded going onto set every single day, knowing full well she’d be mistreated by her love interest yet again

it got so bad that she could no longer work alongside him, and eventually left the cast lineup as she wasn’t able to take the pressure of being in his presence

about a month after it was announced she departed from the team, the director of the show ultimately decided to cancel it as they were unable to find another female lead

nobody knows the truth about why exactly lian left, and people resorted to the fact that the production team wasn’t willing to give her proper credits

with the news of ji soo’s rather unfortunate past, lian now dislikes him even more than she did three years ago

she believes that him being exposed was what he deserved, and she continues to stand with her opinion; he’s a horrible person who got what was coming to him

this one is pretty self explanatory

these two treated lian as well as the rest of the members like absolute shit behind the scenes of that one weekly idol episode they did

he actually developed a crush on her after he had watched the music video to her pre-release single, “stay tonight.” he thought she looked SO good and went on to talk about how much he loved that kind of concept on her for weeks on end.

eric obviously knew about her prior to his discovery of the song, having a member that’s been great friends with her for about a year.

he thinks that if kevin would stop hogging lian and actually let her interact with more of the members, he’d be able to “win her over” but according to kevin, she’s his best friend and his best friend only.

fans of both the boyz and nct figured out that eric had a little bit of a crush on her after watching the english line’s episode of the k-pop daebak show with eric nam.

it was the section of which eric nam was reading out all the questions jacob, kevin and eric had sent in for each other, and one of kevin’s questions for eric was, “do you have a crush on my best friend?”

eric nam widened his eyes, “you have a best friend that he has a crush on?” he asked kevin, who was trying not to laugh hysterically at the question that had resurfaced. “he might,” kevin nodded.

“jacob, do you know who he’s talking about?” jacob nodded and suppressed his giggle by lifting the pillow he was hugging tightly to his chest and covering his face with it.

eric held a look on his face that screamed, “i’ve been personally victimized” as he shot his head back and forth between kevin and the other two older men in the room.

“i don’t have a crush on your best friend.. well- you know- like- maybe a celebrity crush.”

kevin cackled, “she’s not a celebrity-” eric nam laughed at that and shrugged his shoulders when eric turned to him for some help. “i don’t even know who’s he’s talking about, don’t look at me!”

“to you!” eric shot back at kevin, implying that he obviously wasn’t going to see her as a celebrity, given their best friend status.

jacob let him himself laugh, “eric, it’s okay, you make it so obvious sometimes.” he reassured his younger member.

eric stuttered over his words and kept shaking his head. “it’s a celebrity crush. no real feelings.” he stated.

the man across from him, again, shrugged his shoulders in confusion. “i still don’t know who we’re talking about?”

kevin apologized and clapped his hands together, “she’s actually schedules to come on this show.” he smiled and threw him a thumbs up. “is she really? oh, i think i know who it is, then.” eric nam made a face and looked at kevin and jacob, who both matched his expression.

then they all looked at eric, “why are you guys looking at me like that? okay, next question.” he smiled in attempt to change the topic. eric obeyed, feeling bad that they were sort of teasing him, while the two others just laughed.

current status: acquaintances (they met through kevin moon)

( FIRST MEETING ) lian had been waiting at the door of kevin’s dormitory for a minute too long, and no matter how many times she knocked, nobody would answer. they were supposed to be going on a walk in order to catch up before their weekly schedules.

lian pulled out her phone and called kevin through facetime, him answering almost immediately. “kevin, why aren’t you answering? i’ve been knocking nonstop.”

he rolled his eyes and told her to just come in and that he’ll be a minute because he can’t find any shoes that look good with his outfit.

she hung up on him and walked inside, greeted with the sight of the boyz’s maknae on the couch. she stopped in her tracks and watched as he scrambled to his feet in panic. “s-sunbaenim, what are you doing here?” eric scratched the back of his neck.

“huh? oh! i’m just waiting for kevin to finish getting ready.” she smiled politely and looked at everything but him, finding the interior of their dorm rather interesting at that moment.

getting uncomfortable with the awkward atmosphere her and eric had created, she yelled out for kevin to hurry up. “moon hyungseo!” she called him by his korean name, knowing that he didn’t like it.

“don’t you dare call me that, bae haneul!” he shot back at her, stumbling out of his room while trying to put on his left shoe.

she chuckled, “hah, jokes on you, i actually like my korean name.” he stuck his tongue out at her, “okay idiot, let’s just go.”

he opened the door for her so she could walk out first, “uhh, bye eric.” lian waved at him with a tight smile before exiting the dorm, kevin following after her.

eric waited for the door to close before he returned her goodbye, giggling like a little schoolboy who’d just received a lolipop.

chan began to update himself on smrookies daily, constantly wanting to know what she was up to and what her debut plans were, especially because of the sudden group change.

even now that they’re great friends, he’s always calling her to see what’s going on and if she needs help with anything.

no doubt do stays know about his feelings — he was bound to slip up once or twice while live streaming to them.

and that slip up just so happened to be while he was reacting to lian’s “play” music video. everything was going fine — bopping his head to the beat and humming calmly, but he couldn’t stop the blush from spreading onto his cheeks while watching her dance with another guy.

yeah, he was jealous, but that doesn’t mean stays had to know. he hysterically fanned his face, somewhat over exaggerating to play it off. “oh- woah- is the ac not working in here suddenly?” he playfully laughed at the camera facing him.

the song soon ended, and chan was back to reading all of the comments. he read some aloud, some in his head, but he accidentally let one slip through his lips.

“do you have a crush on neullie?” he nearly cursed when he realized the question he had just read to the entire live stream said what it said, allowing himself to sit back in his chair as he watched all the comments flood in.

“well, do you?” “CHAN OMFG-” “christopher bang..”

“guys, come on, of course i don’t.” the viewers definitely wanted to believe him; like, a lot, but they couldn’t.

the way he smiles whenever she was brought up in a conversation, how he looks so incredibly proud when talking about her — it would be a complete lie to believe otherwise.

( FIRST MEETING ) changed out of the sparkly, sequinned dress she’d been wearing for the last couple of hours and now sitting in a pair of sweats and a zip up, lian couldn’t be happier.

finally out of the uncomfortably tall heels and being able to sit down on a cushy sofa while waiting to leave the venue, lian pulled out her phone to check notifications.

five minutes probably passed before her manager gave her the “okay” to start walking to the exit, the car already waiting for her outside.

leaving the dressing room, she saw taeyong, who decided to tag along with the driver (and taeil) so he could see her. “hey, oppa.” she greeted, grabbing onto his arm and leaning on his shoulder for support.

“did you have fun? were you able to see sunmi-sunbaenim today?” he patted her hand slowly. she nodded and made a noise in confirmation, way too tired to give an audible response.

taeyong chuckled as he made sure to keep her upright while getting closer to the exit.

meanwhile, bang chan was talking with felix a couple feet away. he felt bad watching as taeyong struggled to help lian balance herself on her, for sure, wobbly legs.

he saw how terrific she danced that night, completely dominating the stage with her powerful choreography and her clear vocals.

subtly walking in their direction, he put his hand out the minute taeyong’s arm wasn’t able to hold her up anymore. lian looked like she was sleeping at that point.

chan gracefully caught her in his arms, taeyong apologizing and taking her back into his own. “i’m so sorry-” he bowed.

“no, no, it’s okay. she must be tired- uh- would you like some help?” chan offered a helping hand, but taeyong was sure he had other duties to attend to, being the leader of his group and all.

“no! please, i got it from here. thank you for catching her, though, you have no idea what yuta would have done to me if something happened- uh, i’m getting ahead of myself. have a good night.” he noticed how he began rambling on, but chan paid no mind to it.

laughing and keeping the air light, chan nodded his head and bowed, about to walk away after wishing him a safe trip back to the dorms; but that was when lian decided to wake up from her slumber.

“huh?” she looked at taeyong cluelessly, but chan caught her eye. it was then that she noticed johnny’s grey zip up was halfway down her arms, spaghetti strapped tank top (pretty revealing) on full display.

she hastily pulled the sleeves up and looked at chan awkwardly, bowing to him and proceeding to ask taeyong if they were going home.

taeyong nodded his head and put a hand on her shoulder, “yeah, the car is waiting outside. taeil’s in the backseat with your pillow.” he smiled.

lian’s smiled back with a toothy grin, clapping her hands excitedly as she now knew she would be able to sleep on the way home. again realizing chan was watching, she looked back to him.

“it was nice meeting you!” lian waved her hand at him, grabbing onto taeyong’s arm and gently dragging him towards the door leading outside. he complied, but not without shouting yet another “thank you!” to chan, who was still standing in the same spot.

CHOI SOOBIN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER

soobin was really able to learn more about the different variety of idols in the industry when he first joined bighit, and that surely included lian. he admired her so much; she became one of the people he looked up to most.

she was the only female member in a group that included eighteen other men, how could he not immediately think the highest of her after finding that out?

he would keep up with her scheduling and make sure to listen in on her radio show appearances so he could stay updated. he even bought all of her solo albums so he could put her photocard in the back of his phone case!

do fans know?: yes

moas aren’t even able to count on their fingers the amount of times soobin has said lian was his ideal type or his #1 crush. like, the first couple appearances he had on camera post debut, her photocard was literally still in his phone case.

“moas are asking if you still have a crush on lian-sunbaenim.” yeonjun nodded his head towards soobin, the members of txt all sitting comfortably on the floor of a practice room.

soobin lightly brushed his hair out of his face as he nodded his head, “yeah, she’s gotten even prettier lately. have you see her new music video?” beomgyu nodded excitedly.

“it’s super good! the album is amazing, as well.” he beamed at the phone that was filming them and clapped his hands.

“yah, don’t get too excited; soobinnie will get jealous~” yeonjun teased. soobin playfully hit his hyung on the shoulder and told him to be less embarrassing, a small blush now resting on his dimpled cheeks.

hueningkai and taehyun both laughed at their leader, agreeing that lian has certainly gotten prettier, if that was even possible. the topic was soon over as they began talking about something else, but moas definitely added that into their list of “soobin fanboying over lian” moments.

( FIRST MEETING ) soobin almost jumped straight out of his seat when he noticed the goddess herself, lian, walk into the section him and his group were currently in. he watched her bow to the members of itzy before sitting next to them and placing a fluffy blanket onto her lap.

she had just finished performing, and he was still shaking at how perfect it was played out; the sparkly outfits, the amazing choreography, her powerful vocals yet again never disappointed.

the curfew for underage idols now being hit, soobin and yeonjun both bid goodbye to their younger members as lian, yeji and lia did the same for ryujin, chaeryeong and yuna.

the three girls sitting in front of their section soon ran out of things to talk about while waiting for bts to perform their stage, a comforting silence falling upon them. lian allowed her eyes to wonder around her surroundings and ended up unconsciously turning around and staring right at the two members of txt that were left.

yeonjun seemed to have paid no mind to her lingering gaze, but soobin on the other hand could have sworn his heart dropped out of his ass at that very moment. lian, now shaken out of her thoughts, noticed how creepy she probably looked.

bowing in apology, she quickly turned around to talk with lia once again in order to distract herself from the embarrassment that was currently enveloping her whole.

once he knew lian was too invested in her conversation to notice his quiet squeal, he excitedly began bouncing his legs up and down on the cold floor and repeatedly hit yeonjun’s arm.

“huh, what? what’s wrong?” confusion took over his face, wondering why soobin was practically having a heart attack next to him.

“hyung- she looked at me! right at my face! lianna bae looked at me!” yeonjun couldn’t help but scoff at how incredibly excited soobin seemed to be at such a little thing, but it was cute.

taehyung has seen lian here and there whenever he browsed twitter on his secret account, and he’s definitely noticed the constant shipping and dating rumours that went on between their fandoms.

the fanwars, the manips — they’ve all been seen by him at some point in time; but he has to admit that from the manips he’s been able to get a good look at, him and lian would actually make a pretty nice looking couple.

but you didn’t hear that from him tf :)

the calming beat of lian’s “my friend” played in the background of taehyung’s vlive, the viewers all watching him eat peacefully and answer some of their questions.

“are you a fan of lian?” taehyung slowly read out the question as he tried to slurp some of his soup up at the same time. “yes, i like her music a lot..” he trailed off, once again focusing on finishing his soup.

he ate his last spoonful shortly after, continuing his sentence, “i noticed she likes to experiment a lot.. it’s admirable.” he smiled fondly and switched to another song on his playlist after “my friend” ended.

“uh, she’s also really pretty; she fits my ideal type well.” he allowed himself to giggle, somewhat playing it off so the atmosphere on the stream stayed comfortable.

the topic of lian never reappeared that night, fortunately for him, but when he was chaotically woken up the next morning by jungkook, he saw at least five headlines about how he admitted to having a crush on lian.

current status: friends (?)

( FIRST MEETING ) venturing off and losing his members during isac was never taehyung’s intention, but he was able to see some of his friends, so it wasn’t exactly a bad thing. he met a few idols and befriended them, trading phone numbers with a couple new people before heading off to regroup with his six roommates.

on his way there, however, a girl with green sweatpants and a white long sleeved t-shirt caught his eye. he recognized her as nct’s only female member, who was currently running around with seulgi of red velvet.

if he was being completely honest with himself, he’d love to join in on the fun they looked like they were having, but he instead continued on with his journey towards bts. even after a couple minutes of searching around the large stadium he was still unable to find his members.

eventually giving up on his mission, he just decided to back to wherever he last saw some entertainment. he found himself now engaged in a conversation with johnny suh, looking back at lian every now and then to see if she’s gone anywhere.

after a little while, johnny seemed to have caught on, “why are you staring at lian?” taehyung jumped at the question, shrugging his shoulders awkwardly and turning to fully look at the older male beside him.

“uh, i can ask her to come over here if you want. i’ll be a wingman,” johnny winked playfully at the fellow idol, and went over to grab lian before taehyung was able to give a solid answer.

“hey, lian, taeyong wants to talk to you.” he grabbed her hand, and began to drag her towards the bts member, who was literally shitting his pants. seulgi on the other hand, was following the two to wherever lian needed to be, not quite ready to leave.

“noona, go away.” johnny lightly pushed seulgi away from lian, being a shot an “i’m incredibly offended, you’re dead to me” look as as she stomped away from them and over to joy and wendy.

lian silently followed johnny to where “taeyong” was but instead she was met with the face of kim taehyung. she looked back up at johnny with confusion written all over her features, but he shrugged his shoulders and walked away as well.

now, they were just standing there awkwardly looking at each other with nothing to say. “uh, hi, you’re not taeyong.” lian laughed to break the ice, taehyung following shortly after. “yeah, i don’t know what he was trying to do here.” lian nodded in agreement.

lian suddenly became aware of all the fans in the audience and the numerous amounts of fansites that probably had their cameras facing directly at her.

she was able to wrap up her conversation with taehyung pretty quickly, making a mental note in her head of the phone number he’d given her so they could talk later.

once taehyung walked away as he’d finally caught sight of yoongi, lian stomped over to the member of nct 127 and roughly pushed johnny into jungwoo, but he was far too strong to be toppled over like she wanted.

“you idiot, why would you do that? that was so awkward, i hate you and i’m not cooking for you ever again.” johnny simply laughed and ruffled her hair, turning back to hyuck, who was also laughing at her.

she huffed as she was engulfed into a hug by yuta, who almost immediately asked what the hell they were talking about over there.
