dad! kimi | growing up räikkönen!

FIRST OF ALL kimi doesn’t really vibe with most people in general, let alone anyone who’s trying to get with his little lumienkeli. kimi was lucky to raise a little girl similar to him, who listens when he places a no dating rule lasting until she’s 21 (as far as he knows anyways). despises the guys on the grid trying to get with her; he was one of them once so he thinks of them as animals, especially leclerc who’s known for his brow-raising dating life. also hates pierre but he already didn’t fw him bc he’s french. he is SLIGHTLY more easy going with women around his daughter so any grid guys with girlfriends might have an advantage. he finds that he wants the im-a-dog-and-ill-do-whatever-my-girl-says type for his daughter, but he dislikes unintelligence. he does not like anyone on the grid, but he best tolerates:

bonus! he actually really likes max but his hate/distrust for jos overpowers that so he’s not letting that happen

OK SO JENSON is a bit less intense than kimi, however he is much more publicly affectionate with his daughter which means that he has definitely gone on public rants about how no man is good wen enough for his baby. that being said, he is a decent judge of character so he doesn’t hate anyone on the grid. but he gets real serious when he notices people hitting on his baby. this is mostly bc he was def a whore when he was younger so he isn’t quick to trust guys who are living the same lifestyle he was. he kind of turns on dad-mode when he notices anyone eyeing her up. but alas, he raised his own mini-me, who attracts just about everyone, and who likes to flirt back. it takes warming up to, but he can see himself fine with most of the drivers. he most prefers people who are friendly and who didn’t act like him when he was in f1 like:

NANDO IS DEFINITELY one of those guys who thinks he’s a “cool dad” bc he’s a young father and his daughter is his best friend. but in reality he’s one of those intense, fiercely overprotective dads who have impossibly high expectations for his daughters partner. 100% the type to punch a mechanic for saying gross things about his princesa. he’ll be calm and in a good mood then someone on the grid (or any man ever) mentions his daughter and he’s like 😐. UNLESS! it’s carlos. carlos is the only one who meets his standards, sorry to literally everyone else. but even with carlos, he can be a little stern just to get his point across about not messing with his only child. he just feels the need to personally approve of his daughter’s partner bc he’s hyper-paranoid about someone hurting her. his list looks something like:

FUCK JOS VERSTAPPEN obviously, however this man is one crazy dad who we have to discuss. his love for his youngest daughter is wild and unpredictable, and it’s very different from the way he treats his other children. his baby has some extreme one-sided beef with him that he’s smart enough to know about, so he isn’t too forceful about bonding, it’s definitely more desperate since max found success in f1 and she sticks with her big brother now. her entire life, he’s never allowed her to date, and when he found out about her first secret bf, he got arrested for trying to kill the kid so. he has IMPOSSIBLY high standards for his daughters partner and definitely wants her to marry within the f1 community, but he hates losers and despises half the grid.

Author's note:: This is heavily influenced by @sebscore 's the grid's delight because I love it so much. Missile Target Missed

lando norris x oc, lewis hamilton x daughter!oc

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?" Lando's voice roars through the hospital waiting room, filled to the brim with F1 drivers. The entire grid, to be exact.

His target? Pierre Gasly, the man who he holds responsible for his pain. For her pain.

"Mon homme," Pierre tries to cool, holding his hands up in defense. "I didn't mean for it to happen."

"Didn't mean for it to happen?" Lando questions, voice like ice. "I listened to the radio calls! You knew a Redbull was right there and you were determined to get P1! No matter what!"

"I just thought it was Max, that I'd be knocking him down. I didn't think I'd be hitting Josette."

"And that's ok to you? Risking another driver's life? After everything?"

"Lando, I'm sure -"

"I don't want your reassurances Charles! He almost killed Jo! She's Lewis' daughter! The love of my life! The mother of my child!"

But he hadn't realized what he had said until it was too late.

The mother of my child.

"The what?" Oscar is the one to question, the youngest's eyes being wide.

Running a hand down his face, all he can do is sigh, tears rolling down his face as he looks up to seventeen of the nineteen people he spends every weekend with.

"We didn't know," Is all he cries, Max being to quick to catch the Brit as he crumbles. "She wouldn't have been racing if we knew. She was only a little late."

"Lando, you have to explain in full what's going on," Max requests gently, the normal teasing not present in his voice.

"Joss is pregnant," Lewis answers, reappearing with a nurse by his side, dismissing the woman with a thank you. "It's still early, six weeks according to the doctor. And she and baby Hamilton-Norris will be okay," he assures, tears still fresh on his face as he aims the last statement at Lando. "It's going to be okay, Kid."

In most situations, Lando wouldn't have done what he did next, but this was no normal situation. He got straight up and hugged Lewis, that man who had been hesitant to have Lando anywhere near his daughter, and he hugged the younger boy right back.

"Pops, why are you hugging Lando?" I can't help but ask, the nursing assistant stopping my wheelchair just outside the open area, all of the boys eyes on me, just like they were on my first day. Well, minus the dark blue cast on my arm.

"We're just happy you two are okay, my gorgeous girl," He assures, letting go of Lando and coming to me, thanking the nurse who clearly thinks he the best thing next to wine and kissing my forehead.

"Oh baby," Lan coos, giving me a look over that would typically leave me with goosebumps if he wasn't crying.

I know my body is bruised and battered. Crashing does that to a person. His arms wrap around me gently, his lips meeting the top of my head as he kneels to my level.

"I'm so glad you are okay," He whispers, holding me as tight as he dares.

"We're okay, really," I can't help but assure, the idea of being a we're still so foreign but so loved. "Although I don't think Horner will be thrilled with either of us."

"Like I could be mad at you," Horner's voice floats from the back of the room, and based on everyone's faces, no one had realized he had arrived. "However, you and I will be having a conversation Gasly," He adds, glancing at the man as he moves past him, arms wrapping around me in a hug. "Zak and I will have to chat about our orange and papaya baby."

Pierre. Dad mentioned that he had been the one to crash into me.

Because he thought I was Max.

But I can't help but laugh at Christian's little joke, imagining the hayday our social media admin are going to be in.

"You're going to be okay?" Oscar speaks up, him and Max coming to give me light hugs as well, Max ruffling my hair.

"I'll be okay, we'll be okay," I assure, moving to stand from the wheelchair with my father's help, Lan attempting to hold most of my body weight. "Obviously, today will be my last racing day of the season, but I'm still going to be in the paddock as much as possible. After healing of course," I assure, seeing the look Lando is giving me.

"Josette, I'm so-"

"Pierre, I'm not prepared to talk to you right now," I can't help but interrupt, "I know it wouldn't have been your fault, but if we had lost our baby... if I had died-"

"Josette Elizabeth Sienna Hamilton," Pops scolds, tears in his eyes at the thought. It's only ever just been us. And Roscoe and Coco.

"If I had died, my family, my love, and my fans would have blamed you, as well as the FIA. While I know that I don't, I could have lost everything today, because you decided to teach my best friend, my teammate, a lesson for being good at his passion."

"Jo-"

"Mate, I suggest you respect her wishes, because I am not as forgiving as my girl," Lan warns, a look I've never seen on his face.

"Lando," Oscar whispers on my behalf, clearly sensing my concern. "Why don't you get Josie and baby home, I'm sure some rest and relaxation will do them well on the plane."

"He's right my love," I whisper, pulling his hand. "Wheel me away, prince charming, I can't wheel this thing on my own."

"You're wish is my command, your majesty," He returns, pecking me once before looking to Pops, nodding for him to follow along.

"Wait, Lan," I can't help but pause, looking to the grid around the room. "Thank you boys for coming. It truly means the world."

"Anything for a friend," Is George's response, making me smile and nod, Lan directing me out the doors.

bad news? i had broken my arm. good news that lan and i now have decided to announce? baby hamilton-norris will be making an appearance in the paddock in the 2025 season, as soon as he is born in december.

April Fools?

Lando Norris x Hamilton!Reader

Summary: maybe telling your father the big news on April Fools’ Day was not the best idea

Lewis is lounging in his driver’s room, reviewing data from the last practice session, when there’s a tentative knock at the door.

“Come in,” he calls out, not looking up from his computer screen.

The door creaks open slowly and Lewis glances over to see you and your boyfriend shuffling awkwardly into the room, neither of you making eye contact with him.

“What’s this then?” Lewis says with an amused chuckle at your strange behavior. “You two look like you’re about to face a firing squad.”

You and Lando exchange a nervous glance but remain silent, shifting your weight uneasily.

Lewis sets down his laptop and leans back in his chair. “Well, out with it. Whatever it is, I’m sure it can’t be that bad.”

You open your mouth but no words come out. You look pleadingly at Lando who seems equally incapable of speech, his lips moving soundlessly.

“I haven’t got all day here,” Lewis raises an eyebrow. “One of you needs to start talking.”

You take a steadying breath and then the words come tumbling out in a rush.

“I’m pregnant!”

There’s a beat of silence as Lewis processes what you’ve said. Then he lets out a loud laugh, slapping his knee in amusement.

“Nice one! You two really had me going for a minute there. Very funny prank!”

Lando finally finds his voice, though it comes out as more of a terrified squeak. “She’s … she’s not joking. Y/N is pregnant. With my … with my baby.”

Lewis just keeps laughing so hard that tears threaten to spill down his cheeks. “Oh come off it, you can drop the act now. I’m not falling for silly April Fools’ pranks!”

“Is … is it April Fools’ Day?” You ask hesitantly, a crease forming between your brows. “I didn’t even realize what day it was ...”

Lewis’ laughter slowly trails off as the serious expressions on your and Lando’s faces register. His eyes narrow as he looks between the two of you.

“You’re … you’re actually pregnant?” He asks slowly, needing confirmation one last time. “With Lando’s …”

Lando gulps audibly and gives the smallest of nods. “Y-yes sir.”

A rushing sound fills Lewis’ ears as the reality slams into him. His little girl, his baby, is having a baby of her own. With a driver no less — one of his competitors!

The room starts spinning dangerously.

“You …” Lewis growls, rounding on Lando with a look that could incinerate him on the spot. “You got my daughter pregnant?”

“I … I …” Lando squeaks, taking an unconscious step back.

“Start running,” Lewis rumbles in a tone of deadly calm. “You’ve got three seconds.”

Lando’s eyes widen in terror and he immediately turns to bolt out the door.

“One …” Lewis counts, rising to his feet with jerky movements.

“I’m too young to die!” Lando wails, throwing the door open and fleeing at a sprint down the hallway.

“Two …” Lewis continues menacingly, stalking after him with murder in his eyes.

“Dad, wait!” You cry out in a panic, but it’s too late.

“Three!” Lewis roars, now fully giving chase after a petrified Lando.

He tears down the corridor and out into the paddock area, drawing confused stares from crew members and team personnel.

“I’m too young to be a grandpa!” Lewis bellows at the top of his lungs, rapidly closing the gap on the fleeing Lando.

You hurry after them, catching up just as Lando races past a very confused group of mechanics, Lewis in hot pursuit.

“Don’t let him hurt me!” Lando screams as he dodges around equipment boxes.

The commotion has drawn the attention of the entire paddock by now. Cameras are out and clicking furiously as the most famous driver on the grid chases his terrified competitor in circles.

Finally, Lando trips over a stray tire and goes sprawling to the ground. Lewis is on him in an instant, grabbing him by the shirt front and hauling him up until they are nose to nose.

“Please … please don’t kill me,” Lando whimpers pathetically.

Lewis glares at the younger man for a long moment before his expression softens just a fraction. “I’ll let you live. On one condition.”

Lando nods frantically in agreement before Lewis has even named the condition.

“The baby gets my name. You two are naming it after me. No arguments.”

For a brief second, relief flashes across Lando’s face. Then his eyes go wide again in fear. “Ah well … you see … the thing is ...”

“Spit it out!” Lewis growls.

“Y/N … she wants to name the baby Nico. After Nico Rosberg.”

A muscle twitches dangerously in Lewis’ jaw and he drops Lando back to the ground in a heap.

“Oh, for fu-”

“I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!” Lando’s desperate shrieks once again fill the air, echoing across the paddock. “Lewis, please, have mercy!”

i think what really sells me on brocedes is the fact that they still, to this day, live in the same building. isn't that crazy??? your ex best friend with whom you had a very public falling out with still lives in the same building as you. no one told them to stay there, they chose to do that!!! like nico, i understand. he's got a wife and kids. it'd probably be too much work to uproot them and move somewhere new. but lewis? every time i blink that man is at a new fashion show or fuckin hanging out with shakira. he does not have to live there!!! he does not have to live two floors away from his ex childhood best friend!! and like i know for a fact that there are other luxury condos or apartment or whatever in monaco!! he does not have to do this!!!
