With Malice Toward None: a Musical of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. I’ve been developing this musical since summer 2020. With Malice Toward None focuses on exploring the mental health struggles that Lincoln experienced during his presidency. The musical is narrated by Robert Todd Lincoln, who recalls the storyline’s events with complete omniscience while at the 1922 Lincoln Memorial dedication. Relevant themes for the show include mental health, public history, teams that become brotherhoods, compassion, the stages of grief, leadership, and a bunch of other concepts that I’ll probably end up yapping about on here at some point. Orchestrally, the show can be described as “if Les Misérables, Hello Dolly, and Evita decided to have a threesome in my brain”.

I have SO MANY OF THEM that I’ve developed over the years, mostly for historical fiction. 😭 the ones that are living rent free in my head the most right now are Anastasia Andrews-Ismay (the human personification of the Titanic), Lieutenant General Ethan Clay, and Dr. Constance Pierpont Morgan. the rms titanic. literally EVERYTHING about this ship and her sinking is my Roman Empire. I’m particularly fond of yapping about Captain Smith, Thomas Andrews, Wallace Hartley, William Pirrie, J.P. Morgan, or any of the officers — but if you get me talking about the vilification of Bruce Ismay by the sensationalist yellow press in the aftermath of the sinking, then I WILL NEVER SHUT UP.

star wars. my first exposure to the Star Wars franchise was when I was a sophomore in high school and I got to see a screening of A New Hope where the soundtrack was played by a live orchestra. suffice to say, this altered my brain chemistry and I’ve never been the same since. I’m a Prequels girlie and Jedi apologist to my CORE; my favorite characters are probably Yoda, Dooku, Mace Windu, and Bail Organa.

film and tv soundtracks. …the fact that I once did a TWENTY FIVE MINUTE LONG presentation on the film score for Titanic (1997) should tell you everything that you need to know about this silly fixation of mine.

...On The Sims, because I can't draw for shit. I spent pretty much the whole day redesigning (except Rookie, who already got a glow up bc he's my favorite child) and dressing them up like Barbie dolls lol

FÉLIX/ROOKIE:

- As previously mentioned, he's my favorite child, sorry not sorry, I adore this boy so much

- Dumb of ass and home of sexual (out of the closet to everyone except his mom, oof), pulled a millionaire CEO with his ADHD swag. Also canonically a cheeky horny bastard

- An artist (draws/paints and crafts all sorts of stuff) at heart, but had to pursue a more lucrative career in order to support his family. So, Law school it is. Viva le capitalism

- Is an ENFP and his birthday is on February 16th

- His mother is Brazilian and his dad was Colombian. They have been living in the USA since Félix was a young child. He also has a little sister (not so little, she's in college by the time Shattered begins) whom he loves very much and basically raised her, to the point where she sees him as his dad more than their actual dad (whom passed away when she was a toddler)

- Has an excellent relationship with his uncle (and his wife), aunt and cousins. Him and Joy/Sunflower don't meet that often bc she lives a bit far away, but when they do, they share the same braincell

- Appears to be suave and chill when he's at work, but he's actually a SOFTIE. The biggest golden retriever... Well, not literally the biggest. He's 5'7ft/1m69cm. Compared to Auron, he's pocket-sized. But anyway-

- He loves Trish. They bully Auron together. Incredible dynamic

- Has pyrophobia bc ✨ PAST TRAUMA ✨. Began cooking as a hobby to try to work through it

- Likes: Arts, cooking, biking, peacocks, sun imageries (long story), sea monsters and plaid jackets

- Félix has SO MUCH LORE and tidbits (like his tattoos!) about him, I would need an entire separate post to tell it all. And I might do it bc I need that sweet infodump dopamine...

JOYCE "JOY"/SUNFLOWER

- Actually my first YV OC! I met the channel through the infamous Finn compilation

- Bisexual! Finn is her first serious boyfriend, though, up until she met him, she only had girlfriends... And she had the worst luck with all of them. Oof

- Colombian, just like Félix

- Huge animal lover, especially the aquatic critters and reptiles. Has a Bull Terrier named Cow (yes, that's her name.) that has her entire heart. Currently trying to get a job in the veterinarian field! Just... Don't put bugs near her. Please

- Is an ESFP and her birthday is on July 27th... The day the Finn compilation premiered

- Her mother had her pretty young. She doesn't know who her father is, and her mom refuses to talk about it... But tbh, Joy doesn't care that much. She loves her mama, and that's all that matters

- (also her mother loves Finn dearly. everytime they meet, he leaves with a piece of cake or some other home made food bc she loves to spoil her "son-in-law" lmao)

- Surfs on her spare time! Queen shit! Also plays a bit of soccer

- Had pretty severe acne as a teen and still has its marks

- Golden retriever energy runs in the Torres family, because she has it too

CARINA/SUGARBOO

- Like I previously stated, I haven't watched Bittersweet, so, I may not have much to say about Sugarboo except for the (few) misc audios from Al and Seth I have heard... BUT GODDAMNIT SHE'S SO BEAUTIFUL OH GOD

- Straight, but poly

- Japanese, but was born and raised in the USA and, sadly, doesn't has much connection to her roots... Mostly bc she's not super close to her family :(

- (Canonically) Likes to bake! Also cooking, but still has a preference for pastries. Works in a bakery... Which isn't a very healthy workplace, but, oh well

- Is an ESFJ, and her birthday is on January 20th (it's coming!!!!! happy early birthday, queen!!!!!)

- Pulled TWO bitches by having ADHD

- Has A SHIT LOAD of tattoos because she's best friends with a tattoo artist... Who may or may not be Star 👀

- Used to have long hair when she met Alphonse

- She may be Al's impulse control, but Seth is her impulse control 💀

- Calls Alphonse "bug". Earlier on their relationship it was ironically ("so you and me together can be bugaboo!"), but the pet name has stuck

- But in reality, she does have a passion for bugs! Especially butterflies and moths ("NOT Mothman, Seth. Normal, regular moths.")

- Also love cats

- She bullies Seth for believing in cryptids... But believes in aliens

- Again, I haven't watched Bittersweet, so feel free to discard this part if it's contradicting canon events, but... She kind of likes Charlie. She thinks he's cute, even with all the shit that happened

- Likes: Baking, collecting jewelry like some kind of dragon, bugs, cats, tattoos, aliens

ASHER/CASPER

- The coolest mf to ever walk on this earth. I don't make the rules, it's the truth

- (I really hope that the "Casper works for Auron" theory is true tho, the Auron/Félix & Charlie/Asher shenanigans would be so funny to imagine)

- What I do know is that he's kind of a gym bro, except if said bro was fruity

- Seriously though, he's a sporty guy. Likes to go jogging, (he and Joy/Sunflower would be good workout buddies!), climbing, hiking, good ol' fashioned working out and, of course, skating! But after Charlie left, he got into roller skating as well, and he's pretty damn good at it

- He's an ISFP, and his birthday is on April 22nd (Earth Day, get it, bc his favorite color is green,,,,,,)

- Disowned by his parents, but was taken in by his uncle and aunt, whom really support him <3

- Has a tooth gap! Cute shit

- Braided his hair as a kid, still does it nowadays. Certain things never change

- Their relationship with gender is... Confusing. Doesn't like any labels, really. Just go with she/them and you'll be fine. Considers themselves to be pansexual, though

- British ("sadly, stupid ass country"), still has a strong accent even if they have been living in the USA for quite a while

- ...They like tea though

- She works on the IT department of a big company. Boring office job. But she doesn't mind it that much. Everyone is nice enough and it pays the bills. That's more than enough for her

- But besides programming and gaming, her big passion in life is... Sewing! 80% of the plushies in her collection are handmade, including Sir Gengar himself

- Also a huge cinephile

- Is an INTP, and their birthday is on September 4th (it may or may not be a reference to Gengar's pokedex number)

I can't figure out this spacing thing and I'm not about to find out. So hey! I'm Allul (They/Them, trying to figure that thing out)! Only after being dragged here by a few friends did I realize what I was missing out on and I'm glad I joined! I promise you I'm not intimidating as I may seem (If I even come off as intimidating) and really I'm a DM away from blowing your eardrums off about whatever you want. Like lets be real my first blog here was a goddamn pokemon. I think that says everything you need to know.

But as expected writing is my hobby (go figure) and beyond that is probably video games. A lot and a ALOT of RPGS, Fighting Games, and whatever is out there to get my serotonin running. I was going through my bookmarks the other day and decided to make a greatest of all time fanfic rec list (at least in my opinion). These are IN ORDER - or at least I tried. They're all great so it's hard to choose. I want to bookbind all of these one day

Starburst by dracoangelic and GingerD - Stardew Valley, Shane/Farmer - Literally the best fanfic I've ever read!!! The author's OC is one of the main characters and is so well done! The world is expanded in the best way. The ending is perfect. I can't say enough!!!

Dresden by hedera_helix - attack on Titan, Eruri - Historical/WW2 AU - The 2nd best fanfic I've ever read and the best historical au. The setting fits so well with the characters. The grief of the war and of being queer during that time period. There's so much here

Victor Effing Nikiforov by shysweetthing - Yuri on Ice, Victuuri - My favorite YOI fic and the best oneshot! It's cute, funny and has a great plot twist!! Love

This is Not a Courtship by midnightsnapdragon - MDZS, Xicheng, unfinished - WOW this is a recent fic but there's so much sexual/emotional tension that builds up so gradually and is SO well done

Les Mignardises by idiopathology - Detroit Become Human, Reed900 - best chef au, I LOVE this fic, I love food and I love reading about characters who love food. The best chef/restaurant AU that I've ever read

Eighteen Wheels on an Uphill Climb by blackeyedblonde - Detroit Become Human, Hankcon, Trucker AU - once again an au that fits perfectly with the characters! as someone from the us south, this fic is nostalgic and fun. A calming read with a sweet ending

Beneath Your Bones by cloudsmachinations - Thor Series, Thorki - I'm surprised it's taken a thorki fic this long to show up on my list but like I said many tough decisions were made. This fic is SO GOOD. I won't call it a soulmate au, because it's not, it's a host? au I guess but so well done. LOVE and my favorite thorki fic

Beside the Dancing Sea by lily_winterwood - Yuri on Ice, Victuuri, selkie au - wow my favorite mermaid/selkie fic of all time and a yoi classic, unfortunately it seems it got deleted from ao3 and is in the process of being uploaded again

On My Love by RikoJasmine - Yuri on Ice, Victuuri, unfinished - there's not many unfinished fics that made the list but - this one deserves to be here. A "back in time" AU that's famous in the YOI fandom. It's SO SWEET and definitely worth the read.

Unwritten by kaizuka - Yuri on Ice, Victuuri, Soulmate AU - my favorite soulmate AU of all time and a YOI classic. I'm pretty sure it was the first yoi fic I ever read. It's so good, sweet and fits perfectly with the series

Stormbreaker by ladylapislazuli - Thor Series, Thorki, unfinished - another "back in time" AU, Wow where do I begin, this fic is so well written and famous in the thorki fandom, the last and most recent chapter is my favorite, it hits so many emotions, shows so much character growth, Thor faces a lot of feelings about his family, unfinished but the feelings it expresses are worth the read

Until My Feet Bleed and My Heart Aches by Reiya - Yuri on Ice, Victuuri, Enemies to Lovers AU - I think this is the single most well known yoi fic and for good reason, a slow burn enemies to lovers Victuuri AU, it's just so good

Not in Peace and Not in War by justrae2010 - Yuri on Ice, Victuuri, Historical/War AU - my 2nd favorite historical AU ever. The first chapter was originally written as a stand alone for a big bang and the writing in that alone is amazing!!

Animals by stereobone - Attack on Titan, Eruri, Prison AU - my favorite prison AU of all time, it fits so well with eruri and the burn is slow

The act of just being here by Euphorion - SVSSS, Bingqiu - a post canon fic, WOW I LOVE this fic, Shen Yuan having more character growth and letting himself love more, it's perfect, the writing is amazing!

What Gangsters Do by tristinai - Detroit Become Human, Reed900, gangster AU - this is a oneshot that's part of a larger series, however this particular fic is SO WELL Done, Nines goes from hating Gavin to loving him within a few paragraphs and just wow, that's writing goals right there

Just in it for the game by grim_lupine - Thor Series, Thorki, fake relationship AU - I LOVE this fic, it's hilarious, a post Ragnarok fic that's funny and sweet

A Matter of Cats by cato_universe - Detroit Become Human, Reed900 - this is a Nines centric fic and I LOVE it, such a comfort read, libraries, cats, and love

How long we were fooled by Ark - Thor Series, Thorki - famous thorki fic that looks at their relationship throughout the series and at thor's lightening powers, LOVE

Retrograde by bughnrahk - Detroit Become Human, Hankcon, failed revolution end - wow I LOVE this fic, it's so fast paced and thrilling

The Rules for Lovers by ADreamingSongbird - Yuri on Ice, Victuuri, royalty AU - another classic yoi fic and one of my favorite royalty fics

Resplendent - Yuri on Ice, Victuuri, Hades and Persephone AU - this fic has been taken down but I still had to rec it, it's beautiful

No Ordinary Love by TheFlashFic - Marvel Captain America, Sambucky, Hanahaki AU - this is the best Hanahaki AU I've ever read, so well done

Getting to Know Each Other

Last Song I Listened To: *Sobs as I dig through my YouTube history* It was Kerosene but the best part is looped. I like songs that are mostly just beats but also put me in a somber mood, if that makes sense. I made an entire playlist literally labeled "Somber Playlist" and there's a decent amount of songs just like that on there.

My Favorite Color: Ah, a toughie. For the longest time, it was a constant battle between red and green, but I think green has won out!

Last Film/Show I Watched: The last show I finished was Arcane: League of Legends when I rewatched it after a year two weeks back. The show I am currently watching is Young Justice, which I watched for the first time two years ago and have not watched since. And I am falling right back into it with all my favorite ships, dynamics, action scenes, plots, and character interpretations!

Sweet, Savory, or Spicy: Honestly, sweet and savory is where it's at for me! I just don't like spicy food, I'm too weak to handle it XD

My Relationship Status: I am le single.

Last Thing I Googled: Whether you believe me or not, the last thing I Googled was "Wheel of Names" so I could RNG writing ideas I had and write whatever was selected. I got "stargazing" from my ideas, so imma write that next!

My Current Obsession: Oh god, @mikaharuka is going to tease me mercilessly, but I've fallen so fast back into Arcane, specifically CaitVi, and Young Justice! Skittery is only with Blink; Barney is only with Tommy; Blink is with Skittery, Tommy, and Mush; Tommy and Mush are also with Specs. At least, at first, and then they grow closer and kind of branch together. I have so many thoughts on this. It's all Mush's idea at first, he loves love and he loves hard.

Ikeshot!!!! GODS I LOVE IKESHOT. Ike is this little ball of energy bouncing around excitedly but also taking care of his brother. Hotshot is this tough, rough around the edges Brooklyn boy who refuses to let people in. Black cat/Golden retriever relationship.

Lovebird!!!! Romeo and Finch!!!! Holy shit they're so cute 😭They fill me with so much joy. Finch, who is chaotic and probably a little insane, but Romeo who is gentle (and somehow also chaotic) and caring and loving.

Buttons and Dutchy! They're so cute!! They definitely both love to sew and create things and they just have my whole heart. They're the most wholesome ship in the lodgehouse. Absolutely adorable, both great with kids.

Itey (who I can and will refer to as Lorenzo for the rest of this) and Snitch. This one is absolutely canon and no one will ever convince me otherwise. They're literally sleeping in the same bed at the beginning of 92sies. Snitch literally has his feet in Lorenzo's face and instead of fighting (which is the newsies' usual go to), Lorenzo just pushes his foot out of his face, and wipes it off. I bet he got a kiss in apology.

Bart and Myron and Crutchie. PLEASE HEAR ME OUT. So Bart and Myron are obv boyfriends for a long time before the strike. They're so in love it's disgusting. And then they see Crutchie-who doesn't need to be protected, but holy shit Bart can't help himself from trying to kick someone's teeth in when they make a snide comment about him-and he just has these big innocent eyes, but he's got such a rotten mouth what the hell? And they just think it's so precious (they're fricked up, don't worry about it)

Graves and York!!! Graves and York balance each other out. York is aggressive and short-tempered. Graves is even-tempered and thinks quickly on his feet. He's the only one who can calm York down.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about my favorite familial/platonic relationships

Medda is the mom of every single newsie in existence and that's canon.

Race, Jack, and Crutchie are brothers. They've been in the lodgehouse the longest. They've always protected each other. They always will, even after they leave.

The Jacobs siblings!!!! They're so cute!!!! Big sister Sarah being mildly entertained by her big little brother's pining over Jack. Being way more than mildly entertained by her little little brother's starstruck awe by Davey's *cough* friend. They are the generic sibling energies. Sarah, the oldest, is the most responsible, the role model of the group. Davey, the middle child, adaptable and rebellious and tries way too hard to get and keep their parents' pride. Les, the youngest, the baby, gets anything and everything he wants and has 0 problems with it.

CHAOS TRIO CHAOS TRIO CHAOS TRIO. Finch, Albert, and Racetrack MOTHERFUCKING Higgins. They're best friends and wish to cause all of the chaos. In the lodgehouse. At the distribution window. In the streets. Doesn't matter.

OC talky time. Swipe! My baby. I love them. Best friends with Slasher, who Emme and I have declared is siblings with Splasher, Elmer, and Graves. Swipe gets to go to family dinner and absolutely loves all Slashy's siblings.

Wow, that's actually pretty difficult for me to answer because who is my favorite cookie???

My fav cookie for a long time is Caramel Arrow Cookie: love her design, love her personality (literally I joined CRK because of her and Affogato). I ship her with Affogato BUT as lovers-to-enemies! (Yep, you heard that right!) I really like seeing them fall apart...and eventually MAYBE let time heal their wounds? So more like lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers(?)

ABYSS MONARCH is my brainrot recently. I find their kindness admirable despite things being so rough for them. No, I do not ship them with anyone because I hc them as ace-ish, or maybe just very very very demi.

Then, I also love love love Clotted Cream! I have a rarepair for him: Wildberry! I've seen the ship (+ Crunchy Chip) but barely on its own. Funny story: I once saw a reddit thread that shipped Wildberry with "CC" and I also screamed of joy because I thought it was Clotted Cream. Turned out it was Cruchy lmao.

Another favorite is Stardust Cookie. I ship him with Sea Fairy *le gasp.* Because Devsis was silent for a long time on whether Moonlight returned any feelings for Sea Fairy (we still don't really know), I didn't think Moonlight likes her back. Then, when Stardust got released, I joked that Sea Fairy might have a type (starry siblings lmao), then it got really, really serious. Also because I see both of them as depressed and I just want them to help each other through--

And another favorite is maybe Croissant or TK (don't know who I like better). I ship Croissant with String Gummy (a pretty common ship) and TK with MT. I think MTTK is literallly just lawful good x chaotic good, and I ADORE that.

Learn More About my One Piece OC : Hisuiiruka

As soon as I found that, I thought it was a great opportunity to present you my main One Piece OC thanks to this !

She was born on February 20th. Therefore she is a Pisces, which is even more fitting to her alias.

When we first meet her, she is 26 years old. After the timeskip, she is now 28 years old.

She is very often seen in her casual Marine outfit, but she changes outfits when she wants to.

If Hisuiiruka was in our Worls, she would be from Equator, more specifically from Galapagos Islands.

It would be the number 4. I let you guess the reason why it's this specific number.

Her fellow colleagues likes the perfume she uses, because it's hibiscus and monoï based.

Her alias is Hisuiiruka, which translates to "Jade Dolphin", so her associated colour is Jade / Turquoise.

She doesn't have a specific favorite food. However, she absolutely loves fruits and praised originality by creating some new recipes with fruits added in them.

She may be named Jade Dolphin, but she is absolutely disgusted by the fact that people could eat fish and other creatures of the sea. Self explanatory.

She is always thinking about her superiors. Not that she wants to take their positions, but rather she doesn't want to disappoint them. She is training very hard almost everyday to not fail them. Just the thought of failing on the missions they tasked her to do makes her raging out, sometimes even passing out.

They bath everyday, most of the time in the evening after an exhausting working day. And they wash their hair every 3 days, sometimes every 2 days.

Her blood type is actually F+, just like Sakazuki "Akainu".

Sometimes, just to tease Aokiji a bit, but also to make her more resistant to sheer cold.

They are pretty fast, not the fastest among the Marines (Kizaru duh...), but she is a runner that's for sure. She is working very hard on her breathing everyday, as she considers it as an important factor in battle.

As stated before, she loves testing new recipes with fruits. So I guess we can say that's her specialty.

She is always sleeping at least 8 hours per night. Sometimes more when she is exhausted after a very long day.

I think she would be the cool slightly older cousin. Not sister, but still very present nonetheless.

Dolphin, obviously... However, some people said that she looks like a Vietnamese pheasant for some reason.

She is a fairly tall gal, standing at 6'9'' (206cm). She doesn't really like talking about her weight for some reason, but since she is taller than the average, she is also slightly heavier than the average woman. She weighs 185lbs (84kg).

Her bust size is slightly bigger than the average : She is at 100D.

Her stylized autograph would be her alias underneath a wave with a fin coming out of the wave.

Before the timeskip she used to have VERY long hair ; they were literally going over her legs. During the timeskip she decided to cut them because she started to think it was a flaw on battle. Now her dark wavy hair goes on the right side of her face. The rest is tied in 3 buns of different volume, and ending in the loose, attached pretty much like another bun, and attached near her legs with a long red decoration. At first it was hard for her to getting use to this change, but she will later love it this way. She also added colorful additions into them.

French Version :

Elle n'a pas spécialement de nourriture favorite. Cependant, elle adore les fruits et adore tenter de nouvelles recettes à base de fruits. Originalité acceptée !

Elle est certes nommée "Dauphin de Jade", mais elle est écœurée par le fait que les personnes puissent manger du poissons, des fruits de mer et autres créatures marines. Tout s'explique.

Elle est toujours en train de penser à ses supérieurs. Non pas car elle souhaite prendre leur poste, mais plutôt car elle ne veut pas les décevoir. Elle s'entraîne sans relâche quasiment tous les jours pour ne pas les décevoir. Rien que de penser à une mission échouée alors que ce sont ces derniers qui lui ont confié, la rendrait furieuse, parfois même jusqu'à en perdre connaissance.

Elle se lave tous les jours, en général le soir après une dure journée de labeur. Elle se lave les cheveux généralement tous les 3 jours, parfois tous les 2 jours.

Son groupe sanguin est F+, tout comme Sakazuki "Akainu".

De temps en temps, juste pour irriter Aokiji un peu, mais aussi pour augmenter sa résistance au froid.

Elle est relativement rapide, pas non plus la plus rapide (Kizaru duh...), mais c'est une sprinteuse ça c'est sûr ! Elle s'entraîne tous les jours pour améliorer son souffle et sa respiration, qu'elle considère comme facteurs importants dans un combat.

Comme mentionné auparavant, elle adore tester de nouvelles recettes à base de fruits. Donc je suppose que l'on peut dire que c'est sa spécialité.

Elle dort toujours au minimum 8 heures par nuit. Des fois plus après une journée longue et fatigante.

Je pense qu'elle serait comme la cousine aînée du genre cool. Pas une sœur, mais cela ne l'empêcherait pas d'être présente.

Le dauphin, évidemment... Mais étonnement, certains disent qu'elle leur fait penser à un faisan du Viêtnam, apparemment.

C'est une femme relativement grande, elle mesure 2m06 (6'9''). Elle n'aime pas vraiment parler de son poids pour une raison obscure, mais vu qu'elle est plus grande que la moyenne, elle est également un peu plus lourde que la moyenne chez les femmes. Elle pèse 84kg (185lbs).

Sa taille de poitrine est également un peu plus grande que la moyenne : elle fait du 100D.

Son autographe, grandement stylisé, serait son alias au-dessous d'une vague avec un aileron sortant de cette dernière.

Avant l'ellipse, elle avait des cheveux TRÈS longs ; ils allaient littéralement jusqu'à ces jambes. Durant l'ellipse elle décida de les couper car elle commençait à croire que cela pouvait être un désavantage en combat. Maintenant ses cheveux noirs et bouclés vont sur le côté droit de son visage. Le reste est attaché à l'arrière du crâne, en 3 chignons de tailles différentes, et le reste est également attaché comme un chignon, mais semi-décoiffée ; attaché avec un long bandage rouge. Au début c'était difficile pour elle de s'habituer à la nouvelle longueur de ses cheveux, mais elle finira par adorer cette longueur. Elle y a également rajouté des petites fantaisies de couleurs.

For the longest time, Bee’s absolute favorite thing on Elegy was its food.

Sure, as an empathy daemon, Bee loves and depends on the people, the things they feel. Happiness and light and positivity are Bee’s bread and butter, so to speak; they don’t need human food to live.

Joy just doesn’t linger on the tongue like the savory saltiness of aged cheese. Giddiness doesn’t pucker the mouth in sour glee like a Meyer lemon. Even contentment doesn’t warm the body quite like fresh hot chocolate. If Bee is sustained by meals of optimism and pride and kindness, they live for the gorgeous things mortals make as dessert.

Excitement followed by freshly-picked strawberries. Happiness and then lavender tea. Wonder with a chaser of vanilla milkshakes. It’s a pleasant way to spend an immortal life.

One remarkable day in an unremarkable eternity, this day, Bee learns there’s more to life than “pleasant.”

‘Iced, Lizzie- that drink is supposed to be iced,’ Bee says in a subliminal whisper. The redheaded barista stops and looks down at her hands. ‘Cold. You grabbed the wrong cup.’ With a blink and a little shake of the head, Lizzie puts down the ceramic mug and reaches for a glass.

‘Right, right, cold. Get your head in the game, she thinks violently, glaring down at the espresso machine as if it was at fault for her mistake. Hovering in the air next to her, Bee can sense that isn’t true, can taste her bitter, acrid headache like coffee beans roasted in a volcano. With faith, trust, pixie dust, and a smidgen of healing magic, Bee takes away her pain and savors the honeyed, mellow relief she radiates instead.

“One double shot Americano for Lasko!” she calls out, stepping aside to the pick up counter. “Sorry, that was supposed to be over ice, right?” Distracted by a service dog and its flavorless delight, Bee is all the more struck breathless when they get a taste of ambrosial, cotton candy contentment.

“Th- that’s right, thank you!” The raven-haired boy- man? Angel? Gift from Min’Ara?- says with a stutter and a smile that spreads across rosy, freckled cheeks. When he takes a sip of his drink, humming happily, his bliss drowns their senses in a flood of delicious, indescribable sensation. Bee thinks they taste cloying honey, fragrant pandan, rich chocolate, and heady liquor whipped together into a singular dish. It’s an overstimulating, overwhelming rush that has the empathy daemon figuratively and literally spinning.

Lasko’s emotions sated them like a god’s banquet, could keep them fed for a fortnight, and he hasn’t even moved. When the man heads back toward his table, that jolt of joy settled into muted comfort, Bee can’t help but follow, drifting towards him like he is the sun and they are the earth, like he’s the moon and they’re the obedient tides.

Sat down behind a laptop and a bevy of papers, dressed in scholarly browns and whites, Lasko Moore is unassuming, nondescript, and somehow wondrously, enchantingly beautiful. He’s a wallflower, and Bee has never felt more like their namesake- bewitched, blushing, bumbling- as they take their place in the seat across from him.

I rarely ever send asks to blogs but I noticed the absolutely shitstorm taking place in your inbox from my OC blog and I'm so confused??? Like why did it escalate to such a heated discussion?? I actually fully agree with you that Ayato's LE route is anything but bad. It was one of my favorites amongst the S boy routes and while I did feel bad for him, I don't think the 'they don't deserve it' argument is valid for any of the DL boys. They've all done horrible things to Yui/the MC so they can't complain about karma biting them in the ass at one point or another. Also this whole 'which boy is the main one/Yui's canon S/O' is so silly imo. (and mind you, I'm a big AyaYui shipper myself) After translating over half of all the games' content, I can confidently say that Rejet is not that serious about the plot of DL and will defy or contradict their previously established lore literally ALL THE TIME. So why can't we - as a fandom - also be a little more chill and laidback about it and enjoy our own interpretations of the story instead of trying to prove other people's opinions wrong? ^^;; In the end, it's just fiction and there's no real right or wrong. Also big disagree on you not being able to voice your dislike for Ayato because he's generally loved by the fandom. :/ So it's okay to bash Cordelia or Karl because most fans agree that they're shitty people, but you can't speak ill of one of the main boys? Oh boy I better go hide now because I've lost count of how many times I've called Kanato a nasty purple gremlin.

I'm a Subaru stan but if I see someone insult Subaru, I don't get upset. I realize he has his flaws too and he won't be everyone's cup of tea. That's totally fine like go and call him a sad piece of emo trash for all I care. He might be my oshi, but in the end he's also just a bunch of pixels on a screen lol.

Oh and actually an anon told me that problems lie in bad writing and horrible ending, that’s the first one for me. 🙌) So i just started analyzing things using internal infos in his route and speak it up in the form of an opinion. 🤔 Then people misunderstand what i said and see it as “i’m attacking Ayato”, and all of this happened. So… Thank you, but i’ll pass that 1st sentence in the 2nd paragraph to any other person who couldn’t say “i hate this character” in this fandom. 🥺💗 Sigh…. I do wish people can be chill and understanding like you and some people i know as well. Realizing all of this things isn’t that hard. 😔

Jezebel: This episode’s another intense one, and very nerve-wracking, but not a lot’s really happened in this one?

Wench: I KNOW. Like, this is really intense, but also, somehow, really slow, and, come on, writers, are you ever going to advance the plot???

Jezebel: All I’ve got right now is Lach, and I don’t want it, but it’s there. Like, that last exchange felt like a Max/Logan scene, but they swapped Max out for Zach

Wench: EXACTLY. And that exchange about the window being open? Literally a parallel to the pilot. I think that line was an exact callback, in fact, though I haven’t checked to confirm for sure.

Jezebel: Normal’s got a decently big part in this episode…

Wench: Comments for Normal Anon?

Jezebel: He’s mighty shiny lol

Wench: And favorite characters at this point?

Jezebel: Kinda hard to say. Before I started watching NCIS again, I was like meh: Logan was just there. But now that I’m back hyperfixating on the show again, I love Logan even though there’s no reason to. OC is up there, then Herbal, just because I like their bits. And I hate that I don’t like Max because Jessica Alba is hot.

Wench: (re. OC/Herbal et al) I feel so bad for not liking/rewatching season 1 much because I’m coming to the conclusion that I really love the Jam Pony scenes.

Jezebel: Right?!?! I loved scenes like the last episode's

Wench: Normal did not deserve that!!!

Jezebel: He really didn’t! He’s… I’m trying to come up with a comparable character, and it’s not much working. He’s not “I can’t stand him; he’s so horrible.” He’s not even that bad. He’s just a bit annoying sometimes. But I like him at other times. Maybe Hotch? I would say gibbs but I know you have strong feelings against him ☠️☠️☠️ Maybe the Gibbs gibbs is supposed to be? He’s complex! Cause normal is an ass… but not an asshole. There’s a difference ☠️ And I don’t recall another character being that dorky kinda loveable but assish too.

Wench: Yeah, that makes sense! And I think you’re gonna get more insight into him next episode, which is why I said wait until then for the Normal Bingo.

[btw, it bears mentioning that Max is already acting suspiciously, to the point that everyone at her workplace, aside from OC and kinda Herbal, thinks she might be the murderer the Wanted posters are looking for. She’s suspicious even before the whole transgenic scare in season 2, so, once again, why does OC try to unite everyone behind her???]

And it’s also gonna give some poor person with epilepsy a seizure

And that’s the end of the series; they die together

[They just put a blood-deprived person in general lock-up; how is she still standing?!] Exactly! And they didn’t even give her a bandaid; they just pulled out the needle. And I’ve been to the hospital and gotten an IV, and they pulled out the needle, and blood went everywhere. It’s like the scene in SPN where Dean broke his leg and then pulled out the IV and there was just nothing. I’m like, this is a show about hunting supernatural creatures, but this is the unrealistic bit. [This is the most unrealistic thing in this show, and the brothers fight god with a gun.]

[I’m sorry, but that was such a teen movie way of leaving. “Oh, I’m just gonna… toss my hair… and then jump over this wall.”]

Jezebel: Well, in the second half, a lot happened! They were like, we ain’t gonna put much in the first half because we’re gonna have to try and kill you in the second half. Also, there’s like a ship… not unlocked, but it’s there. They don’t want it to be there --- I don't want it to be there --- but it’s there. Uh… I actually didn’t hate Max this episode. Or even not-like her

Wench: I know!!! Though, admittedly, for an episode about Max, she was only in, like, three scenes

Jezebel: They could have made him collapsing a bit more dramatic, to be honest. Like, sprawled out on the floor. Or in his chair, still by the window.

Wench: I KNOW. Like, I fell asleep over my homework all the time in high school/college, so he could just have been asleep; that was much less dramatic than it could/should have been.

Jezebel: And… the dream. I’m gonna keep coming back to it. If I had one final thought at the end of this episode, it was pinned back at that dream. That was so weird. But I think that’s a wrap, so. Yeah!

Wench post-script during tagging; Kendra hasn’t been in, like, three episodes… I wonder if she’s off for good. I know she leaves before s2, but I didn’t expect it this early! I guess we’ll see as the episodes continue
