Lansing Legacy!!
I found the random legacy and was inspired by the intro formatting from @adair-the-bard, please show him some love!!!
As I said above, this is the random legacy challenge! My founder is Jaymes Lansing, a trans man with questionable fashion sense but somehow pulls it off (and not to mention is a cyber criminal :0) and his wife is Presley Ames, who you may recognize from a previous post but with some epic improvements (including arm crutches!! I was so excited when I found this cc and they’re perfect for her!!) who’s a stylist!!

When I saw this challenge I knew I had to participate as I just got my first ever set of dice and wanted to use them! I will be using a d20 for the categories that have less than 20, and for the rest I will use two to three dice of my picking and add up the totals to get the roll number.

Category 1:
Marital Status
For the first roll I used a D20 and D6, and added one to the total to even out the lack of 1 due to there being 27 potentials in the rules. I rolled a 9 and a 5, and added 1 which totaled to 15: Couple: Live together with a romantic interest and use the help to raise the kids.
Category 2: Number of Kids
For the number of kids, I used a D6 and a D4. I rolled a 5 and a 1, which totals to 6: 2 Kids
Category 3: Career
For this category, I had to make multiple roles, for the type of careers my Founder and my other sims can have, as well as for what career it is.
I started off rolling for my Founders career with a D6 and D4, and got 8: Unconventional Careers. I then rolled for what unconventional career it would be. I excluded numbers 18, 19, 28, 29, 30, 31-36, 39, as I do not have those packs, and then used a D20, D4, and D6 to roll. I rolled a 9, 1, and 2, totaling to 12: Cybercriminal: create viruses and hack for money.
Then, I rolled for my spouses' career. For career type, I rolled a total of 4: Conventional Career. For the career, I rolled a total of 21: Style Influencer – Stylist
Category 4: Generation Goals
Here, I rolled a D20, D6, D4, and D8. I got a total of 19: Pet Shrine [C&D]— Adopt, create, or bring home a stray pet. Through the generation build a shrine to the pet.
Category 5: Misc. Fun.
Here, I used the same dice as Category 4 and added 2 to the total. I rolled 21: Regular Diner [DO]— Once a week, the entire household must go out to eat at a restaurant. All three courses and something to drink should be ordered.

I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I PLAYED YOUR DEMO, AND I LOVED IT SO FAR!!!!
Also, I've been thinking about this, tbh.
So, you know how MC's mother died, presumably, trying to protect us(???) at the age of three? I know that you probably have a set idea on the game, BUT I wonder what it would be like if MC's father died instead of the mother and she had lived.
What would the game be like? Would MC's mother be less harsh(?) or more protective of the MC?
Would she look at the MC and see her husband? Did she love her husband?
I'm just imagining this with my F!MC Erzra Ellarian, who I made to have the same skin tone and hair color as her father but the same eye color as her mother.
I wonder about who MC's mother was and how she would've raised MC?

Hello anon! Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it. About mc's mother's appearance and name, it's Alexandra Demandri. And she had brown hair, light skin and brown eyes.
And if she had been alive in Eleazar's place, in fact things might have been different.
Because A:She did love Eleazar, a lot. No doubt she would raise the MC with much more care and patience than Eleazar. the training would not be so extreme, but there would definitely be good training, she wouldn't be so severe but she wouldn't be a bad teacher either, because she also comes from a military family.
But her methods to face some threats would be more through manipulation and in a more secretive way, Alexandra was the calm but at the same time very wise type, she usually used more words when dealing with noble enemies instead of immediately resorting to violence.
B: I think mc would have a lighter childhood, maybe even more fun. Because Alexandra wouldn't put as much pressure on mc to be the example as Eleazar does.

Not so much hate as much as people trying to tell me how I should or shouldn’t be writing a story. Which, tbh, I find more annoying than outright hate.

I do! It’s been a bit, but usually it’s got quite a bit of passion or longing of some variety behind it.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Just the once. The person was uh. In major denial about having plagiarized my work, but AO3 solved that right quick.

I have not! But I would be flattered.
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Niamh and I have been hurting ourselves with working on a fic for about 5 years now. Eventually we’ll hurt you all too!
What’s your all time favorite ship?
By virtue of volume of what I’ve written, I guess it’s Eothiriel? But I have a soft spot for many a ship.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Honestly anything ASOIAF related. The show thoroughly killed my interest in writing for that fandom.
What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue and I’ve been told world-building, which is very kind.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Being overly detailed, plotting feasible travel times, and I think over-romanticizing my male leads?
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Usually I write it in English, unless it’s in a language I feel decently proficient in--the exception being “Old English” that I use as a stand-in for Rohirric, because I doubt I’m offending anyone by using super old words. I refuse to write it in an “accent” because that has all kinds of ooky racist/classist implications, and we all know Google Translate is shit. I will sometimes take one word and have it in a different language, especially if it’s a pet name or a curse.
What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?
Had to go back to ye olde FF.net for verification, but it turns out it was (unsurprisingly) LOTR.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
God, that’s a hard one, but I think I’m really quite proud of Legacy (what is a legacy)

Yesterday I got struck by the phrase "just picked up a cold from somewhere", and before I knew it I'd written 2.4k. oops. Characters from Kaleid0//tr0pe again, but fic writer/fan artist au so no prior knowledge needed.
How are you, anyway?
Drew hasn’t been active much for the last week or so, which, Harrison knows, is totally fine, only, it’s not like him. He’s not sure he’s expecting a response, but it comes only a few hours later, a jumble of letter adding up to
Mrrbnghhh
Oh honey, Harrison types. What’s up?
And then he goes back and deletes the oh honey before he sends it, because he isn’t quite that brave.
Ugh I’ll be fine, sorry for complaining. Just picked up a cold somewhere.

Drew’s typing bubble appears, then disappears, then appears again. Not that Harrison is watching. They don’t have conversations like this all that often; their back and forth usually spaces throughout their days. Harrison loves it when it does happen though - Drew makes him laugh like no other friend of his ever has, and it’s all without them even hearing each other’s voices.
Killian dies, Drew types, and Harrison gasps aloud.

Oh honey he types, and this time he sends it before he can second guess himself. Drew doesn’t reply, and Harrison fights his instinct to regret it. He sends another message instead. Probably you brought this on yourself by being evil to poor Killian

You know it’s no fun if none of my readers cry……… and, had another sneezing fit whilst I typed that, so maybe there’s something in your theory
Quick then, think up some last second miracle to save him, and save yourself in the process
Hmm says Drew, and then doesn’t say anything else for a while. Harrison waits for a bit, but nothing more seems forthcoming right now. He’s still feeling that want, that notion to wrap his arms around Drew and cheer him up. He’s never even met the man. Still, cheering him up… he might be able to do something with that. A thought develops in his head, and he lets himself imagine it through before he pins down the image that will show it all. He switches windows, and starts to sketch.
It’s forty minutes later before the other window chimes with another message from Drew
So, you might be onto something there
Oh? 👀 Harrison asks, before going back to his sketch. It’s coming along nicely, but hands are always a bitch.

It’s only then that Harrison thinks to take stock of what he’s wearing, of when he last washed his hair. He runs a hand through it, but it’s at a stage of doing whatever it wants, and he gives up with a shrug. Drew has already seen the weirdest parts of his personality, it’ll be fine. Hopefully.
He takes the plunge, suspecting Drew will only believe him when he sees the call coming through, and presses the button to connect them.
Drew answers, and when his video appears, his face is slack in a pre-sneeze blur.
“One sec,” Drew manages to say, then bends into a tissue as the sneeze escapes.
“Bless you! And, hi?”
“Hi,” says Drew, “and thanks. It’s going to happen again in a second.” Harrison studies his face as his expression falters again, seeing the redness of his nose even through the dim light around him.
“HehEttcssshhh,”
“Bless you,”
“HhhIssshhh!”
“Bless you,” Drew shudders slightly, but it passes and he smiles up at the camera.
“It’s nice to see you,” He says, and there’s so much warmth in his voice despite its hoarseness.
“It’s good to see you too, Drew. Oh, bless you again?” He guesses, and he’s right. Drew looks sheepish.
“I did warn you.”
“I know. You didn’t warn me you had adorable little sneezes though.”
Drew’s nose, as if pleased by the attention, twitches visibly, and he’s saved from responding by a sudden burst of three.
“Bless you,”
“Probably it’s your optimism making it worse,” Drew tries, and Harrison laughs.
“Or it’s because you’re not atoning for your writing sins quickly enough.”
“Fine, fine, we'd better get to work.”
“I’m saving you from yourself,” Harrison repeats, and Drew laughs.
By the angle his face appears at, Harrison guesses Drew has used his phone for the video call, propped up against his computer. He’s proved right when Drew starts to type; the tapping of his keyboard filling the silence. He’s glad for it, and adds to it with the scratching of his stylus. For a while, they work, together but separate, and it’s nice.
About ten minutes in, Drew’s typing slows, and a couple of sniffles make their way through the microphone.
“Alright?” Harrison asks, barely glancing at Drew on the screen.
“Hh-djuhh.”
“Bless you,” Harrison keeps sketching, but he thinks he can hear Drew building up to another sneeze.
“Hdjjschhuh—”
“Bless you-“
“HDJSCCHHUE!”
“Bless you, sweetheart!”
And so it goes. Drew types, Harrison sketches, Drew sneezes, Harrison blesses him. If they’re sneaking glimpses of each other every so often as well, well, who’s to tell.
Drew hadn’t been lying about all the sneezing. Harrison still finds himself wanting to hug him — maybe even more so now he can see the exhaustion on his face after each one — but he settles for a gentle blessing, letting some endearments slip out here and there too. Each set gets stuffier and stuffier until Drew mutes his mic to blow his nose, and then the sneezes sound soft and tickly until the cycle goes round again.
“Hiii’schoo, hh-tshhhiew, huh- uh- huhhh, huh! HaTCHiew! hATchhiew! Hah’tscchHhh!”
“Bless you, darling. Those sounded satisfying.”
Drew groans in agreement, and Harrison’s whole body takes note of the noise.
“Hh’djjuuh,” he sneezes again, and his eyes stay closed afterwards. Harrison’s voice is quiet as he blesses him once more.
“It looks like you should be in bed.”
Drew’s face flushes, and Harrison holds back a smile. His next sneeze has no force to it, like his body is agreeing with Harrison. They’re filling with consonants again, too, and Harrison suspects it won’t be long before Drew goes all shy to blow his nose. It’s unreasonably adorable, the whole thing. As Harrison watches, Drew buries his face in yet another tissue, and the sounds of the sneezes are muffled where he catches them. Harrison looks back at his sketches as he blesses him, and is surprised to see he’s almost finished. He looks at the clock, and is less surprised. They’ve been going a long time.
Drew gives another little snuffling sneeze, just the tail end of the “‘choo” sound.
“You might be right,” he finally admits. He coughs a little, too.
“I’ll send you this as soon as I can see you're in bed,” Harrison promises, and this time they both blush at the implication. “Not like that,” he says, laughing at himself.
“I know. I just need to - snff- get ready. Can I just leave you here?”
“I’ll wait,” Harrison agrees.
Drew stretches, then stands, and the movement prickles his sinuses. He swears, and then the loudest sneeze Harrison has heard from him all night bursts out, wracking through his whole body in the corner of Harrison’s laptop. Harrison has learnt to save the blessing until the end of the fit, and there’s clearly another one coming now.
“HUHResxhhCHUUU! Huh, huh, huh!! HeP’tchoo! HepTcHhhuh! Huheh! Ehe— hEHTCHIEWWW!! HeTCHIEW! Tch’SCHOO—tschOO! Iiii‘Schiew! Jesus Christ,”
Harrison counts the blessings off on his fingers whilst Drew sniffles desperately, not quite sure whether or not he’s done.
“I’m gonna-“ He gestures towards his door, and Harrison nods his understanding. He disappears off screen, but before there’s any sound of a door opening, his nose gets to him again.
“Bless you!” Harrison calls, and hears Drew laugh a little bit in response.
Knowing Drew’s phone is safely in here, Harrison posts his art to tumblr, tagging him in it. Feel better, sweetheart, he captions it. It’s more art than he’d normally manage in an evening, but if he can’t physically look after Drew, at least he can make his own favourite character take care of Drew’s favourite character. It’s not, per se, subtle, but he’s just spent his evening Skyping with the guy sneezing his head off, and his crush is showing no signs of abating. It might even be worse. So he uploads all the images, in all their care-taking glory. The hugs and cuddles and forehead kisses I couldn’t give you, he calls it in his head.
When Drew comes back, changed into pyjamas and somehow looking even more rumpled, Harrison wants it even more. Wants to kiss his red-raw nose, wants to rub his back through his coughs. Wants to hand him tissue after tissue to tend to his nose, to soothe those ever-quivering nostrils.
One day, he thinks, and is surprised by himself, by the surety of his thoughts.
Drew picks up his phone to climb into bed, and Harrison gets a whirlwind glimpse at the rest of his room. The phone settles with Drew’s head half-hidden in a pillow, and for a moment the camera shakes as one final sneeze slips through.
“Bless you, Drew.”
“Thanks. And- thanks for keeping me company tonight.”
“We should do it more often,” Harrison suggests.
“As soon as I’ve stopped sneezing my head off,” Drew agrees.
“I mean, I hope for your sake that that’s soon. But we don’t have to hold off until then if you don’t want to.” Drew gives him a sleepy smile, and each blink of his eyes is getting slower and slower.
“Sleep, Drew,” Harrison says, softly. “I’ve left you a present on tumblr for the morning,”
“I’ll look forward to it.”
“Sweet dreams, dearheart.”
“Goodnight, Harrison. Get some rest too.”
“I will, I will. Goodnight” he kisses his fingertips, placing them over the image of Drew on his screen, and just glimpses a last, blushing smile before the call disconnects.

BIOGRAPHY.
When your mom’s a legendary supermodel and your dad is a smooth talking Hollywood talent agent, it’s safe to say that you were probably born with a silver spoon in your mouth. But don’t you dare say that shit to Stella Evans. Although she definitely enjoyed the finer things in life growing up and was practically gifted a spot in wealthy elite by her parents, Stella likes to believe that she did it all herself. And underneath it all - the glitz and the glam and the money and the flashing lights - maybe she actually did.
While this blonde haired, blue eyed beauty might be the spitting image of her mother with a few (okay, a lot) more extra curves, Stella tries to distance herself from her family heritage as much as possible. It started in kindergarten when she renamed herself. After all, being named after the notorious Estelle Evans doesn’t make you a lot of friends when you’re five. It makes you the subject of ridicule from your peers, and makes your teachers treat you as if you were the one posing topless in Italian Vogue. And when your mother made you model for a big Baby Guess modeling campaign at the age of 2, kids tended to talk. So she became Stella. Just Stella.
From then on, she did everything she could to separate herself from her parents. If her parents said to stay in, she went out. If they told her to get good grades, she failed her classes in retaliation. Their attention was all consuming, especially her mother’s. After the once popular cover girl had retired, she turned all of her attention to her daughter. Stella’s modeling work had been paused at the suggestion of her talent agent father, Arthur Evans. He wanted her to focus on school and get an education so she could take over the talent agency one day. But when Estelle and Arthur divorced when Stella was 10 years old, all bets were off.
Her mother hopped from loveless marriage to loveless marriage, dragging Stella along for the ride. Her father moved to the Upper East Side, vowing to see her at Christmas each year, while Stella jetted around the world against her will. 6th and 7th grade in Sweden, 8th grade in London, 9th and 10th grade in Paris. It was a long and lonely adolescence, but Stella filled it with booze, bars, and boys and girls to keep her company. Partying was her only escape. And she was damn good at escaping.
She had her first real relationship when she was 16. He was an older French financier who was content to spoil her rotten and show her a good time. Perhaps too good a time. Stella was introduced to the things that would become her vices - namely, drugs and alcohol. Her mother proved to be overbearing but oblivious. She would do things like criticize her daughter’s makeup, clothing, and body, but be completely unaware that Stella was doing things like snorting coke to get thinner. She’d call her trashy for going out to clubs, then look the other way when Stella would wear a short mini skirt when leaving for “study sessions” at the library. With Stella’s clever wit and electric charisma, it really was too easy. The drugs combined with the alcohol made her feel better because she didn’t really feel anything at all. Plus, if her parents hated partying, then Stella would learn to love it.
Shit hit the fan when Stella was arrested in France. Something about being an accomplice to international drug smuggling and being under the influence of a controlled substance - whatever. 16 year old Stella got off with a slap on the wrist due to her connections, promising to move back to New York with her dad until she was 18 and legal. The Upper East Side was her new home, and weirdly enough, she actually kind of liked it. It was easier to start over in New York, where no one cared about her washed up mother. But they did care about money, wealth, and excess, which Stella was more than an expert in, whether she liked it or not. This made her presence in the New York social scene almost magnetic. People would flock to her, drawn in by her ethereal beauty, effortless charm, and “fuck it all” party girl attitude.
Attention was a dangerous drug for a girl like Stella, who had spent her whole life freeing herself from her mother’s tarnished legacy. And when she had finally done it, had finally succeeded in making people call her “Stella Evans” instead of “Baby Estelle”, it made her wild with reckless abandon. All her new friends and lovers wanted to buy her shots and make her feel good any way she wanted, and it was only polite for Stella to let them do it.
The next few years were filled with exclusive clubs, raucous spring breaks, glamorous yacht parties, champagne kisses with boys and girls, social media notoriety, and juicy headlines that cemented her status as an it-girl. Her modeling career resumed with a promise to her father that she would go to college at the same time. Armed with a golden reputation, endless connections, and natural charisma and talent, Stella began to walk all the major runways and was in talks to appear in Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret. Unlike her mother, she proved that she had both high fashion attitude and sex appeal. Stella was unstoppable.
Until she wasn’t. After a night of drinking and an ill-timed bet that she could parallel park her date’s Range Rover (despite the fact that Stella didn’t have a license to speak of), the police charged her with a DUI. This time, she didn’t get off so easy. Her father pulled as many strings as possible to keep her image clean in the press, but word got out anyway. Fucking instagram.
Faced with the threat of losing her big modeling campaigns, Stella agreed to clean up her image. Think rehab, charity work, inspirational interviews. The whole shebang. And it worked - kind of. It’s hard to navigate a world filled with temptation, but Stella doesn’t know how to survive without the glitz and glamour of the wealthy world. She dropped out of college against her dad’s wishes, officially surrendering herself to the New York social scene. Rich girls have more fun, anyway. But sometimes she hates it and wants to be “normal”. Even so, she knows that she never will be and embraces the beautiful chaos that her life of excess brings to her.
As far as rich kids go, Stella is almost down-to-earth. Kind of. She likes to think that she is, but she’s also the kind of girl who would never be caught dead on the subway. Or a taxi. Black cars and private jets only, please. Underneath it all, Stella wants (and frankly, needs) real connections in her life. People who genuinely care about her and have her best interests at heart are extremely rare, so when Stella lets someone get close to her, they’re with her for life. Her reckless, carefree attitude can definitely get her into trouble, so she can be a handful.
But one of her shining traits is that she doesn’t judge, at least not as openly and viciously as her peers. Stella’s life of wealth and status is definitely ingrained in her, but she is also openminded and accepting. Her friends don’t need to be old money. They just need to be real. You can catch her being the talk of the town in her native Upper East Side, but also vibing with the up and comers in Tribeca. Below the layers of superficiality and obsession with the finer things in life, this supermodel has a heart of gold. But don’t fuck with her. Stella is dangerous and defiant when she wants to be, and nothing can get in the way of her getting what she wants. Even if what she wants could destroy her one day.

a bit about her bio
she’s from busan, younger twin by 2 minutes to @lgcxjongsuk.
grew up being dotted on by her older brother and was very close to her mother. never had a good bond with her father, however (because he was stricter and she didn’t like his attitude. even less when she discovered he initially got with her mother for the sake of the mom’s fame).
[ TW BULLYING MENTION !! ] as a child she was nowhere near as outgoing and bubbly as she is today. rather withdrawn and shy, easily overlooked at school or bullied for preferring to stick to herself. she saw her mother as her only female friend and her twin brother as the only best friend in her life. adjusting wasn’t easy. the people in seoul appeared even more uptight and strict than back home in busan and jungah always left like the odd one out with her accent. life really didn’t seem to be too blooming for the girl.
until jongsuk signed her up for a national talent show that was broadcasted on tv. jungah managed to score first place, won the prize money and suddenly gained the affection and fondness of those around her. her classmates took interest in who she was, made attempts to befriend the new transfer. this was ... a brand new experience, but nothing jungah actually seemed to mind. suspicious about their motives at first, the girl soon grew to love the attention she got. she’s never had that before, after all.
throughout the end of middle school and all of her high school time, her personality underwent a huge change. once shut in, preferring books over human company, she did her best to appeal to her peers and stay the focus of attention, the girl they all adored and liked. she was coddled by her twin, still berated by her father, but life was great.
it became even greater when she took the chance of an audition after being dragged there by her classmates. a part of her knew that, mayhaps, all of these people claiming to root for her were only awaiting to see her fail and not get accepted. but much to their dismay, and jungah’s happiness, she passed and signed under legacy on january 2018.
her goal is to become an entertainer and she doesn’t stop at anything to achieve it.
personality !! most of it is covered on her about page, but here’s a summary
she’s ... really something. has multiple masks she wears daily, depending on each situation and company she’s in
they’re not bad, and never mean. maybe not very genuine at times, but she does whatever it takes to be liked by literally everyone around her. she’s very attentive, borderline cunning, notices little details about people and uses them to her advantage to make herself look nice and friendly.
your muse likes anime and mentions it briefly? next thing you know you have jungah approach them about having an anime marathon together when time allows for it to.
she is friendly, outgoing, helpful, can be pretty flirty, likes to talk a lot and likes to make jokes. she appears as the bubbly girl, everybody’s darling, but really? she has no idea what or who she actually is.
the deeper thinking surfaces when she’s mostly alone or in the company of someone she really trusts.
that’s not to say she’s always an angel. she has outbursts of pouting or sulking when something doesn’t go her way, and can display “diva” behavior, namely when she’s required to pay something and simply finds ways to make everyone else pay for her.
honestly, she just wants to succeed and make her dream of being an entertainer come true. she doesn’t react well to the past, especially the death of her mother or the way she used to be as a child. pro tip: just don’t mention these things around her, ever.
plot ideas !! these can be fleshed out more
people/friends/acquaintances from busan who knew her back when she was still very much an introvert. totally different from the way she is now. maybe they kept in contact, or reunited at lgc after years and the chance has been shocking
a penpal friend she’s had since she was a teen, and you two realize now, years later, that you are attending the same company.
ex-boyfriend/girlfriend, she had two relationships. how they ended can be discussed in detail! must be around her age and no younger than 99er.
best friends. whether it’s genuine friendship or not can be plotted out, but basically the people whom she feels most comfortable with, or whom she has no problem sharing her quiet, thoughtful moments. moments in which she’s not that bubbly girl trying to make everyone happy.
anything antagonistic. she’s loud and she makes herself present no matter where she is. your muse happens to not like this kind of behavior at all, maybe even questions whether or not her personality is actually real or if she’s just setting this up for attention and fondness. i’d love to see her being called out on it tbh
fellow anime lovers. she’s a huuuuuuge anime geek and it’d be great if she had someone to be geeky with together, be it by flailing over ships or bonding by binge watching stuff, anything is possible!
someone she tutors in english. she’s never been the best in p.e. but languages? she loves them. she’s been self-teaching herself english aside of the mandatory english classes in school and has reached a pretty advanced level. your muse needs help and she gladly provides them with just that. of course she demands something in return - icecream, maybe? <:

1, 4, 15, 18, 20! for the fic writing meme
you delight me, anon! (from here) this got... hmm, pretty long, so most of it’s going under a cut!
1. Tell us about your current project(s) – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it?
back in december, after being wildly disappointed by tros, i thought to myself: none of this bullshit would have happened if they’d just let ahsoka and her irritating ghostly older brothers show up and train finn, who is in fact a [last name redacted] for reasons.
then i started actually plotting it out, realized my 50k concept (“Finn wakes up with a massive headache and, apparently, the ability to see dead people. Then the dead people in question start talking to him.”) needs approximately 300k of background to fully be what i want to be (an anthology love letter to the star wars universe, if it was nicer to my faves), opened a nice fresh word doc and started plotting the whole damn thing. it is called “ahsoka tano’s rules for rebels, rogues, and renegades.” in my head i call it atr4, and my tag for it is “death shall have no dominion” because, ghosts. it is very dear to me right now because i get to invent assorted relationships out of wholecloth between my favorite characters who never met in canon, which is my favorite thing to do.
so, i have two (2) actually in-progress WIPs in that universe:
the actual “Ahsoka trains Finn” headliner fic of this ‘verse, which is currently 6000 words of disconnected scenes i have typed in intermittent fugue states over the last six months
the “Obi-Wan is sad in the desert, but maybe not as sad as in canon, because, well, You Know” fic which is also the “wtf happened to Cody in this ‘verse” fic which is currently 1600 words of imperial!cody Suffering
and a list of ten (10) more that i swear are all connected. i swear it! (highlights from the list include “four almost-padawans of ahsoka tano + one who was” and “rex earns his jaig eyes at least twelve times over during the empire, and another five after.”)
the other (star wars) fic i have on my roster for codywan week (if i can swing it in time) is going to be shorter (why do i feel like i just cursed myself with that word) and the working summary (which has existed only in my head up until now) is: “fives, on the lam from the coruscant guard, the chancellor, and, worst of all, anakin skywalker, runs into cody and an unfamiliar trooper on his way to the meeting point. this has galactic consequences.” who is the unfamiliar trooper/Person In Clone Armor? 3 guesses and the first two don’t count. what are the consequences? well… we’ll see!
4. Share a sentence or paragraph from your writing that you’re really proud of (explain why, if you like)
i first wrote this as a jocasta nu line in her cameo in hear me through the hum, but i liked it so much that i’ve incorporated it into atr4: “And besides, the Jedi are not made up of lightsabers and holocrons, are we? We are made up of the strength in our hearts, the deeds of our hands, and the Light which we follow.”
i think this is maybe the best way i've found of phrasing my own personal view of the jedi (not my own view of the jedi order, but my view of the jedi), which is that they’ve got access to this immense power but what actually makes you a jedi is what you do with it. it’s not the trinkets or the ancient wisdom or the code or whatever, it’s taking the power that lives in you and using it to do good even when the world is dark and the work is thankless. you can be a jedi without the order, but you can’t be a jedi if you aren’t striving for the light.
on a lighter (?) note, i’m also quite proud of the whole “obi-wan keeps trying to talk about the mission report while he’s slowly bleeding out. cody is losing his fucking mind” scene in there, because ah… that’s love, babe!
15. Which is harder: titles or summaries (or tags)?
aw jeez. titles, since i'm usually picking from a list of 10 lines from songs or poems (or, veeery occasionally, making one up) and a lot of the time the line that is my working title isn’t the line that ends up being the final title!
18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.
to be completely and honestly tbh, not… really? especially with characterization, i tend to write about characters who i have Very Firm ideas about who they are and how they would act in whatever given situation. this is good for writing (because i usually know exactly what a character would do, facing a particular choice) but sometimes bad for reading (because sometimes i'll read something and think, “that character would never do that!” even though, of course, that’s just like, my opinion, man).
20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)
a difficult question! because there’s so much. i include tons and tons of references in everything but for the sake of (relative) brevity i’ll say that especially in atr4 where i’ve got 2500 words JUST OF NOTES FOR THE ‘VERSE i am constantly thinking about the way everything is connected. for example, because of the comparisons i’m aiming to draw there, i currently have most of a duel between ahsoka, kylie renner, and finn written which is a close parallel of the qui-gon, maul, and obi-wan duel. (except, spoilers, ahsoka won’t get killed by a punk bitch like kyle, because reasons.)
part of this is that i love some aspects of the cyclical themes in star wars (“same eyes in different people,” legacy lightsabers, death-yet-the-force) and hate other aspects (i loathe that every sw movie is like “blood isn’t important, anyone can be a hero!” but then every freakin time it turns out that in fact, blood is important, and maybe the most important). so i tend to want to emphasize the ones i like and toss the ones i don’t.
plus, after years of writing, i have realized that there are a few well-worn themes i always circle back to, and one of those is the notion that family doesn’t define you, that it is more than blood, that you have agency over what you do and who you are and who you choose to surround yourself with. i believe in free will and have trouble with characters who think certain outcomes are Destined, but it’s a lot of fun to mess around with the concept of fate, especially in sw where it’s so ingrained in canon. screw destiny! write your own story! said every story i ever wrote.

I know my blog has been pretty negative lately
With everything going on in the simblr community that is shitty, I thought it would be nice to get away from that and send out some love to my favorite simblrs. This is by no means a complete list-- I love everyone I follow and all of my followers. This is just simblrs I've talked to a lot or am close with, or those whose stories or posts I follow closely.
@camisimblr is one of the most friendly, funny, and down to earth person I’ve ever met, and the first person I truly talked to regularly on here. She’s working through her Not So Berry challenge and is currently on Gen 3. I really recommend checking it out, especially as the captions on her gameplay are always class. If that’s not your thing, no worries! She also has a new simblr game going on where she presents a sim and gives clues as to the parents for anyone to guess! If that’s not your thing, follow her anyways because shes an amazing person!
@simvanglade is AN ABSOLUTE RIOT. She is so funny and so kind to everyone (except Peppa.) She’s currently working through the Not So Berry challenge and is on Gen 1, so now’s the perfect time to quickly catch up since there’s so much more good stuff to come! Her gameplay is ace and her captions are so funny and relatable. She also has some new stuff on the way that I’M SUPER EXCITED FOR. 👀👀👀 Go drop this lady a follow (or else Peppa will come for you 🔪)
@simmingkatie is the SWEETEST human being, and she just has this natural aura of happiness around her that makes you feel right at home when you’re talking! She just finished her Pancake’s Rerun story, so it’s a great time to binge read that ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE. (honestly, go read it. It’s super good.) She’s also about to start posting her Bachelorette challenge with Alexis which is sure to be a great time, and is also working on Gen 2 of the Not So Berry Challenge! Also it looks like there might be some youtube videos coming 👀 Just like the other two above, if you’re looking for humorous captions and relatable down-to-earth commentary, look no further!
@fataleromeo is one of the most caring people I’ve ever met, and spreads love wherever she goes; Her writing is phenomenal, and her commentary is witty as hell. One of the many things she’s working on currently is her Fatale legacy. Having just finished Phoenix’s generation, it’s a fantastic opportunity for new followers to go back and catch up before she starts posting Ezra. (and from her amazing writing of the past two generations, it’s obvious that she’s going to absolutely SMASH this next one!) Alongside that, she too is about to start posting her Bachelor Challenge with Gabe AND has gameplay posts of the Not So Berry challenge (she’s up to the third generation!) With so many projects going (I honestly don’t know how she does it) you’re sure to never go long without some great content from her! I also saw a post about her making a sim for the human enough challenge and saying she probably won’t get around to it, but we can all hope, right? 👀
@weicyn / @cyanidelegacy I swear one of these days I’m going to go back to and read your stories from the beginning. This girl has SUCH GOOD STORY POSTS and if you’re looking for something to binge read, the Cyanide Legacy should definitely be a go-to! Along with her phenomenal writing, Cyn also has such a good and caring heart, and will help you wherever she possibly can! Go follow her!
@erosims is so supportive and helpful, I don’t know what I’d do without them if I have issues with either things in my day to day life or my cc. They’re also an amazing mod and cc creator themselves, along with reblogging others’ creations! If you’re looking for practical and incredibly useful mods and cc with a user who is incredibly caring and supportive, you’ve found the blog you’re seeking!
@skullysimblr is a blogger I look up to immensely. They’ve made it to !generation 9! in the Not So Berry challenge, and have hilarious captions to boot! If you have some time and want to binge some awesome content, I recommend going and showing them some love-- trust me, they’ll return it!
@toffeetip super kind and funny, and has amazing screenshots and gameplay posts, as well as releasing amazing cc! Just a very well-rounded blog that has everything you could ask for, tbh, along with a blogger that spreads love like crazy!
@starry-eyed-simss is currently writing Iorie Hills in her legacy challenge, as well as an AU for Strangerville. If you haven’t yet seen enough gameplay for the pack, I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY (even if you have seen enough, you really won’t regret checking this out.) Iorie is an incredibly interesting and fun character and if you haven’t yet started reading that legacy-- oof. get over the their blog and catch up. I admit unashamed that I wait for the updates because I am THAT into both of these stories.
@liliumpixels is so sweet and so supportive to everyone she comes in contact with, and it’s the perfect time to follow her since she’s just starting out! I can’t wait to see everything she does!
@airedalerd is super funny, super nice, and super empathetic. This girl has so much heart in her. She’s just starting Secret’s of Brimwater, a mystery story that I’m so excited to see unfold. If you aren’t already, go follow; you definitely don’t want to miss anything she posts!
@liliithvatore really funny, stands up for what she believes in, and has a great story going with the vatores! her posts are so pretty and it makes following the story even better. also runs a great storytellers discord which is very helpful and friendly if thats your thing! 💀 Has your OC ever lost anyone to death? Multiple people? People close to them? How does the loss make them feel?
Nothing that I’ve firmly established yet, though as someone from a Sith legacy on her father’s side and a warrior’s legacy on her mother’s, it’s more than likely she’s lost relatives to battle. She’s definitely witnessed her share of death before entering the Academy, though, and at her father’s hands - seeing him kill his rivals gave her nightmares long before she made the choice to disregard the Dark Side in favor of the Light.
🕰️ Has there been an event that happened in your OCs past that affects their future or one that they think about still? Is this a bad event or a good one? What are a few of their childhood memories they can recall?
Thoughts on the specifics of her childhood remain a WIP, but the bullying she received from her older sister Rashile (I think I’m gonna change her name tbh) definitely stayed with her, even if it wasn’t one specific event as opposed to constant things from her life. Definitely a bad one - though Yula is grateful for the thicker skin she got from it. She much rather would’ve have a positive relationship with her sister, though.
She recalls an equal mixture of both spoiling and training from her childhood. As a wealthy daughter to a Sith family, Yula wanted for nothing, but her parents also refused to let her rest on her laurels and made sure that she knew she would have to fight and earn her prowess as a Sith in the future. There was a lot of academic studying (which she uses to pull out a metaphor in conversation with Vette now and then), and a lot of training in Echani martial forms with her mother.

Perhaps they destroyed each other, their deaths a quiet affair. But perhaps - and this seems more likely - the Wrath was called to her Emperor’s side, and they plan to free us from the rule of Zakuul when the time is right.

halsey is!!! i remember hearing badlands when it came out but i only really got into her mid 2018? i listened to hopeless fountain kingdom then and realized that badlands and hfk where both from the same person!! folklore is @/keepyourlife's fault, annika reblogged a bunch of things and just went crazy over it, so i listened to it. i don't listen to much else from taylor, i like getaway car a lot tho tbh. i saw mystery of love in a wangxian edit on youtube and went !!!!!! over that song, so now i'm obsessed with it.
1. i've got a bunch of favorite fics but _none of them are finished _and ajdkskks i do have some that are finished but i can't remember for the life of me what they're called. so here are five of my favorites: love, in fire and blood by cicer (which i'm recommending to all of my mutuals always) which is a 212K wip of immortal/yp!wwx + war prize au with no rpe/noncon but in the first two chapters lwj is afraid of that happening. it doesn't. then there is this time/universe/dimension travel fic called a song to bring you home by neoserenity, where basically canon!lwj who mourns wwx meets a modern!sick wwx and apparently there is no modern equivalent of lwj? or at least wwx doesn't seem to know one. the updates are sparse but i reread this so often in hopes that updates will appear. an arrow through time by syrus_jones is a young!lwj time traveling to post canon mdzs and pining after "husband" and wwx at the same time and feeling guilty over it bcs he doesn't know wwx is "husband" and then there is the murder of crows by cerbykerby which is a yilingwei sect au. here is a modern office au: hello, IT. have you tried turning it off and on again?* **by overmountainandmeadow, which us just really funny so i've been reading this for stress relief. i actually quote like time travel aus? also just wangxian meeting other versions of themselves is fun!! i have a bunch of modern college au tabs open but i don't actually seek them out, if i see one and like the plot then i'll read it. there are a lot of good time travel aus in this fandom!! also i like it when people get wangxian together earlier than in canon, it's just really fun to see how that would go. i don't remember the name but i think there was one fic where lwj tried to flirt with wwx and wwx just didn't notice? until somebody pointed it out to him i think? that was fun to read because lwj was just so frustrated!!
2. i feel like i forget what shows i watched after i watched them? movies too, though i like to stick to rewatching movies i already know. but here are some shows: dark on netflix, if you have netflix it should be there, it's a german netflix show about time travel and fate and things being really fucked up. basically there is this endless loop of the world apocalypse happening in 2019? 2020? i'm not that sure of the timeline rn but it's either 2019 or 2020!! and jonas, the male lead, wants to prevent it but this shit gets complicated because this is a time loop, everything he has done has been done before him. there are some really great quotes in the show about things, there is a wangxian gifset that actually uses a quote from dark, and that's the one about having three deaths. (i'll probably add a link to the gifset when i find it) also martha, the female lead, seems not that important in the first season but don't be fooled by that. the ending is.... complex and cool and holy shit there is still one thing we don't know and ahdkksks it's a surprise tho so 👀👀. i recommend watching it in german if possible and with subtitles. i've watched a few scenes in english and idk the voice actors don't seen to fit, but i don't know about other languages. the 100 is also a pretty good show but it's.... it has queerbaiting. and to be honest, the queerbaiting is probably the only reason the show made it to a seventh season. lexa, a lesbian, dies and they use her death for the queerbaiting since she gets together with clarke, the lead character. clarke is a character that gets a lot of hate from both fandom and the characters, a lot of unfair hate if you ask me. she has to do a lot of decisions that are just not meant to be for a single human being, @/solntserises and i and a lot of arguements over placing the blame on her or placing the blame on society and the situation itself. clarke basically does what she needs to do, what she needs to do in order to protect her people, her friends, her family. she often just doesn't have good options, and if she has then she deems the risk too high or something too good to be true (which, she often is right about???). after s1 her friends push her into situations where she has to make the hard choice, but if it doesn't work out how they want it to work out they get mad at her. which is not fair. i remember hearing that raven finally understands what clarke goes through in s7? but i haven't watched the season. i gave up the moment lexa died and didn't want to watch past it, but when @/solntserises started we watched the other seasons together.
there is also shadowhunters which is an okay show ig, i've watched vikings until s5 too and i quite liked it, prison break has a lot of cool stuff to offer but i'd be careful watching it in case of any triggers you might have. i don't remember 100% of the plot but enough to say that one of the characters is a pervert and an awful person, so lots of murder, a lot of blood and yeah. the two main characters are brothers and mostly innocent in this but yeah. they break out of a prison y'know.
lucifer is !!! i think it goes after dc comics? so ig it's somehow part of the dceu but they're like.... never mentioned so idk. it's really fun tho!! you probably have heard from the vampire diaries right? yeah well, there is a spin off called the origianls and it's actually really good. it had some times where i was going to call it off but it's fine, legacies is both tvd's and to's spinoff and from the quality it can't really compare, it's still fun to watch and seeing the new generation grow up. (also a lot more canon gays)
for some movies: i don't really watch many but i've watched every movie in the mcu so far, i have the extended special editions for both the lord of the rings and the hobbit trilogy, the half of it is about ellie chu, an asian girl living in a small town with her depressed dad and falling in love with aster flores, and just.... finding herself, finding out what she wants, who she is and trying to figure out where life takes her. the movie is great!! the romance process is really slow and not that much of the main focus, but more of ellie finding her place in the world? the old guard is a fantastic movie that i watched because of @/keiraknigthly, it's really fun to watch!!
