One by one, the cars pulled up outside the old juice bar. Chan was the first to get out, walking up to the dark door and looking in. It looked empty.
Shine E. Investigative Services
Chan knocked his knuckles on the glass door as the others stepped out and walked over.
They stood there for a moment, just waiting until the door opened to reveal a man. He looked like he hadn't slept in a while, but his eyes widened as he scanned over the group and spotted the bag in Felix's grip.
"Get inside." He gestured them in with a flurry. "Hurry."
They piled into the building as the man scanned behind them. He locked the door and rushed them to the center where five desks sat in a circle, three of them occupied.
"You seven must be Minho's friends," the man said as he sat at one desk. "I am, oddly enough, also a Minho. Choi Minho at your service." He pointed to the other three. "Those are the other investigators of this little business; Kim Kibum, Lee Jinki, and Lee Taemin."
The three wave at them before returning to their files.
"The bag if you please." Minho held his hand out to Felix. "Thank you. Alright boys, let's get to work."
"How do you know our friend, Minho?" Chan asked.
"Your friend, Y/N, is our partner's cousin." His eyes drifted to the empty desk. "We owe it to him. Anyway." He pulled out paper after paper. "What do you guys know about what's going on?"
"Honestly, nothing. They've been pretty tight-lipped about it all."
Minho gestured them all over to the desk where all the pieces were laid out.
Images of Y/N littered the table, some ranging from their weekly meetups to her job to even class. The one commonality was the gentleman in each photo.
"What's going on?" Hyunjin asked as he lifted a photo.
"That guy has been tailing Y/N for months because of her connections. Our friend, Jonghyun, died in a shoot out with this guy's brother." Minho's finger stabbed against the man's face. "He wants revenge and targeted her specifically."
"How does our Minho play a part?" Chan was curious. "Why is he a suspect?"
"They're together, no? Romantically?" They all shrugged. Well, everyone except Jisung. "Ah. I see. Well, in any case, your friend is closely connected to her and spotted the danger months out before reaching out to us." Minho's fingers turned over another piece of paper. "Do you really think your friend is missing?"
Taemin let out a short but loud laugh before returning to his work.
"No no no. He's playing the middle man between everyone right now."
"What does that mean?" Changbin leaned back and crossed his arms.
"Him and the police are lying to the public and tricking this guy into believing he's safe. Boy's putting his criminology degree to work."
"I thought he was a dance major?" Jeongin asked.
"I thought he was an English major?" Hyunjin asked.
"Okay, we get it. He's an enigma." Chan sighed. "Why is he putting in so much work to get this guy?"
"Because this guy and his family committed a lot of crimes and killed a lot of people he attacked her at the river." Minho pulled out the photos taken last night. "That's when it all went sideways. Your friend had to be held back and basically thrown in after her just so he didn't kill the man himself."
The last picture thrown down was of Y/N's injuries. Cut up face, broken arm, knife wound on the lower abdomen, bruises on the neck. It was a lot.
Jeongin curled into Felix, trying to erase the image from his mind
"You boys were sent here for a reason." The other three detectives looked up from their work, looking as if a show was starting. "Your friend trusts you enough to work with us while he works with the police to bring this guy down."
"And what part would we play, bait?" Chan asked, getting protective of his boys.
Minho leaned back in his chair with a smirk on his face.
"Half of you have performance degrees, yes?" Most of them nodded. "You guys ever con a man?"

CHAPTER ONE (3.6k)
Wong Yukhei looked out at the shimmering stars above Sha Tin District. It was a late night as he stood on his complex balcony. His elbows rested against the railing as he looked among the city lights. It was going to be a long time before he saw Sha Tin District again. He was headed to Seoul in the next few hours. Even though he was infatuated with his position and where they were seated, it didn’t fit with his satisfaction of expanding globally.
Lumidome. One of the highest-ranking mafia groups in China, or even among the top ten in the world. People didn’t understand the position of the mafia. Tested their limits and only found out when it was too late of what they were capable of. They overthrew their rivals in a matter of hours in one single night. Their leader, Yukhei, was known to be cold, stone-faced. He had a temper if someone messed with him the wrong way. A person was lucky enough to see the day light at all if they pissed him off.
“Yifan, reports?”
Yukhei’s voice was emotionless as he turned to face the older man sitting on a red velvet couch, wine glass in hand. Yifan had been with Yukhei since they were in middle school. His demeanor didn’t faze Yifan, he was used to the younger being stone faced. He had promised to follow Yukhei in all his activities. Whether they be bad or good. And he just wound up to be part of the bad.
Yifan swirled the wine in his glass before he took a sip.
“Our position here in China will remain the same. Everything will run as per usual. A jet is ready to take off whenever you seize to be ready, boss. Passing through the Korean border shouldn’t be an issue, and if we leave soon, there’s a chance we could be there before midnight.” He replied professionally. His eyes glanced at the younger’s cold expression.
Yukhei hummed in response with a small nod. He expected nothing more and nothing less from the one he trusted most. He leaned against the railing, his arms crossing over his chest as he eyed the older.
“What’s on your mind?”
Yifan set the glass down on the table in front of the sofa before he leaned back, crossing his leg over his knee.
“What we’ll do once we arrive in Korea.” Yifan replied honestly. There was no need to tell a lie to the younger one whose eyes were glued to him.
“Well, we will do exactly what we did once we arrived here.” Yukhei pushed himself off of the railing and stepped inside. “Take over and rise to power. And with you by my side, it should be easy.” He ran a hand through the others blond locks. An act that Yifan grew accustomed to over the years.
“You will be by my side, right?” He muttered. Yifan gave a soft expression to the younger.
“Always by your side.”
“Good. Because I want you to be with me when I take over the world.” Yifan hummed.
“Who is our next target?”
“Simple. Neozone.”
~~
The sun was just setting as a perfect evening ended in a small little pet shop in the center of Seoul. The glow of the sunlight and the colours of the night settling in glimmered through the store windows as Ten went around, making sure to give the pets food for the evening. With the occasional pet to the puppies and to the kittens, Ten double checked that all animals were set for the night with clean cages, and fresh food.
There weren’t many people coming in around this time, so Ten decided to start closing up shop earlier than usual. He was the only person working the shift at this little pet shop, and before closing he wanted to make sure that he got everything done before heading home for the night.
Being raised in a poor family, Ten learned to never slack off during his tasks, and at the moment he needed all the money he could earn. Ten had moved from Thailand to Seoul to pursue his dream of becoming a general surgeon. Although his mother was against it, he still left home to be taught at the finest universities in Seoul. But as a medical student, his mother didn’t send him money due to his run off, so he had to earn every last penny he could.
He needed a way to fend for himself, as well as pay tuition and rent.
Ten honestly didn’t mind at all though. Aside from his studies and the lack of friends, he needed to find a way to keep his mind occupied otherwise. Working with animals always made him forget about his worries, so he figured that this job would be the best to work as he worked away on his studies. If people at the university told him to “try harder” or “work hard”, it wouldn’t matter to him. Ten’s goal was to make his mother happy, to get her approval of his career choice.
Ever since he moved to Korea, he hadn’t made many friends at all. Perhaps it was because he was a foreigner. Or maybe because he focused too much on class and didn’t bother with socializing. Perhaps it was even because he was too focused on his studies or even his job. But in the end, it didn’t matter what he did with his time besides study and work. He had a goal to reach, and if he could reach it, it would make his world seem better.
He was just about to turn off the OPEN LED lights, when a friendly face got his attention and made him smile.
“Taemin?” At the sight of the older man, Ten opened the door and gestured for him to come in.
“Hey, I-sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to check and make sure that you were okay?”
“oh, thank you. I’m okay, I was just making sure that the pets had fresh clean cages and fresh food to have for the night. Come in.”
So far, Taemin was probably Ten’s only friend in Korea since he arrived. Despite seeing the older man walking home from the windows of the pet shop, or sitting outside with him during his lunch break, Ten grew fond of the olders’ presence. Seeing him and spending time with him, Ten slowly stopped seeing Taemin as a casual visit, and more like an older brother he could count on.
“What are you doing out tonight?”
“Oh, just heading down to the café shop before it closes to get a coffee. I decided to stop in and make sure you were doing well.” Taemin stated, glancing at the clock to check if the café would still be open at this hour.
“I see. I hope you get there in time and get yourself a nice warm drink! It’s getting a bit cold out during nights now.”
Taemin gave a small nod and leaned against the counter of the shop, watching the younger clean up the last little bit of the mess.
“I hope so. But I want to make sure that you get back home safe tonight. It’s not safe during dark hours around here. There are bad people out there and I don’t want to see you get hurt.” Taemin announced, going to the shorter and giving him a small hug.
Ten enjoying getting these small hugs from Taemin. It made it feel as if he wasn’t as alone as he was here in Seoul. He gave him a hug back, before smiling to him.
“Don’t worry. I’m closing up shop now and I’ll head straight back to my apartment. But you be careful out there as well okay?” Ten suggested, putting the broom and dustpan away.
Taemin gave a hum in response with a nod.
“Don’t worry. I’ll be alright,” Taemin headed back to the door and smiled to the younger. “I’ll see you later okay?”
Ten gave a smile back to the older and waved.
“I’ll see you later. Bye!” Taemin gave a small wave back before he left the small little pet shop.
As Ten watched the older walk off towards the café, he realized how late it was getting. The sun was no longer visible, but the colours of the sun set still lingered among the darkening sky. He flipped off the OPEN sign lights and grabbed his bag off the counter in one swift motion.
He grabbed the keys and left the shop, saying a small goodbye to the pets for the night. Locking up, he put the keys in his bag and headed on home. Although the walk through the darkening streets didn’t help his paranoia, what Taemin said earlier started to creep into his mind further. The silence of the walk back to his apartment was eerie as he sped walked his way back.
Once he finally made it back to his apartment, he fumbled with his keys a bit before he finally got inside. Leaning back against the door of the apartment, he closed his eyes and gave out a relieved sigh. He locked the door as soon as he could and placed his bag on the counter top.
The place wasn’t much, small, and not very crowded by furniture, but it was all he needed until he finished University. He could live off of ramen noodles and cheap looking wallpapers until he was able to move into a place more suited to his style.
~~
“Damn it Haechan! Stop it, I swear you're gonna blow our cover!!”
“Geez Mark, okay okay… I was just trying to make the mood a little less stressful.” The blue haired boy pouted, crossing his arms. He was clearly upset from the olders words about the fact of his humming.
“He’s right, Hae… Boss trusted us with this mission, no one else could do the task. That’s what he said.” Jaemin spoke up, reminding him of their situation at hand.
The Dreamies. Aka – the innocent but deadly members from Korea’s largest and deadliest mafia groups, Neozone. Neozone is known as one of the world's largest and toughest mafia groups and is black listed on each police station in the globe. Dreamies were the youngest sub unit of that mafia. Unlike most teens their age, these few were reckless and a physical danger to the streets of Seoul. If you mess with their brothers, their family, they’ll make a mess of you on the side of the street. Wide and open for the world to see.
But these few do have their own restrictions from their boss. Although they were minors, they weren’t allowed to do what some of the older members were able to. No clubbing, no overdosing, and no going out past midnight unless they had Mark or Sehun with them. And most definitely. No. Killing.
“Where’s Taemin? Wasn’t he supposed to be going with us tonight?” A red-haired boy announced from the back of the car, slightly annoyed that their hyung wasn’t present.
“Jeno… He’s with boss tonight, across town. We’re merely waiting for the call-in case they need our help as backup. That’s why we gotta keep an eye out the windows.” At the mere comment, all the boys in the car turned their eyes out of the window in panic of being yelled at.
“Wait… Wait! Where’s Jisung?!” Kai practically screeched, in search around the car for their maknae.
“Relax, he’s just in the trunk.” Sehun responded unfazed.
“Oh, okay. Wait what?!”
“Cool it. He has his phone, and there isn’t much space in here for him anyways. He’s fine.” Mark stifled a laugh behind his hand before he turned his attention back to the windows.
Kai at that very moment wanted to throw hands with Sehun. But he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, running a hand through his white locks.
“Okay.. fine, I guess we just wait then.”
~~
Meanwhile, in the quieter part of Seoul, Taeyong sat in the driver’s seat of his sleek black Mercedes-Benzes. His face was stoic, but his eyes glistened with hostility as he awaited the arrival of their rival.
“Boss, you usually don’t come out here… What’s the change?” Taemin and Taeyong were both sitting in the car for nearly over an hour and both men were becoming impatient. Because of Taeyong’s high rank within Neozone, he was usually never on the field. Most of the dealing jobs belonged to the Dreamies or the BLINKS. But apparently, this job was too risky and dangerous for those members to be out on the prowl.
“Somethings come up Tae. Rivals from China decided to slither their ways into the Korean borders. Someone’s gotta stay.” Taeyong stated, his voice blunt but firm, steady. But it couldn’t help Taemin’s curiosity build up in his chest.
“China?”
Taeyong tilted his head to look at the older member next to him. “Yeah. They’ve already started to wreak havoc in Lotto. Unit 127 is already there with some of our allies, defending that part of the town. These new guys most definitely didn’t come here to play nice.”
“But then why aren’t we there with 127 now?”
“Their leader wants to send us a message. I know it’s risky, but it’s better than having them enter our territory. At this point, we’re not quite sure who we’re dealing with.”
Taemin nodded in understanding. He didn’t want to push Taeyong’s boundaries any further, and especially now wasn’t a time to let their guard down. Despite being in the gang world, Taeyong being younger than him, Taemin saw Taeyong as a younger brother he didn’t get to have growing up. But while in gang speak, Taeyong was his boss.
As another 15 minutes passed the two by, finally a large black Lincoln pulled up from the depths of the darkness around them. Windows tinted all black. If it were anyone else in this position, they wouldn’t have minded the car with any suspicion. But Taeyong knew better than that. His grip on the steering wheel tightened, turning his knuckles white.
Taeyong felt something was wrong in his gut, but the moment a window rolled down and a barrel of a 22-calibre gun appeared in the window, he knew.
“Shit! It’s a tra-!”
Before the younger could even finish his sentence, the first bullet was blown out of the barrel and slammed into the windshield. Not enough to shatter it, but enough to give a message.
Taeyong became furious. He backed the vehicle up as fast as he could, as Taemin beside him loaded his gun.
“I guess that’s our message!”
“I’m calling the Dreamies!” Taemin snapped, the phone already pressed to his ear. “Sehun, get over here now! We’re on the other side of town, close to the university campus!”
As Taemin made the call, Taeyong’s knuckles were white from the tight grip on the steering wheel. He drove wickedly fast, tires screeching around every corner he whipped around. Passing through red lights, just skimming the chances of getting hit.
“Hey! That was a red light!!”
“Damn it Taemin, does it look like I care?! There are no red lights in a damn car chase!” Taeyong fumed. As they continued to speed down the streets of Seoul, going faster by the mile, so was their rival’s bullets. Closer and closer to breaking glass and popping holes in the tires. Taeyong had enough of it and was ready to hit back.
“Take the wheel.”
“What?!” Taemin shouted.
“Jesus-take the damn wheel Taemin!”
Taeyong jumped into the back seat while Taemin moved into the driver’s seat in one fell swoop. But he didn’t dare give a second to forget about his seat belt. The younger surged through the duffel bag stored away in the back seat and loaded a gun. Without a second thought, he leaned out the window, his red fiery hair flaming as fierce as the flames of rage in his eyes. He aimed and shot the driver and must’ve hit for the car swerved as they sped off, hitting a lamppost.
After a few minutes of silence and the hum of the car, Taemin finally broke the silence.
“I think… we lost them.”
“Shit! Look out!!” Neither of the members had time to react, as their rival hit their car head on, forcing the car to stop, crushed against the escalade.
When Taeyong finally deemed back to his senses, he saw three figures exit the escalade, and so he readied his gun and exited his own.
“Sup, assholes.”
“So sorry about that. You must be Taeyong. What my dearest pleasure to finally meet you! It’s such a shame we have to be on terrible terms.” A tall guy with blonde hair stated as a snake-like smile slid across his face.
“what do you want?” Taemin demanded. He stepped out of the car alongside Taeyong. Both of their barrels pointed to the tall blond.
“you’re boss.”
“And why do you want me?” Taeyong’s posture didn’t falter. His stance emanated dominance. If there was anything he valued more than his gang, it was his pride.
“how do I put this… Our leader wants to negotiate… some things with our so-called rivals, and that involves you and your gang Mr. Lee.” The blond stated.
“You’re going to have to go through me first.” Taemin loathed, taking a step forward, his entire body shaking his rage.
“So be it.”
One of the two didn’t hesitate to charge at Taemin as both of them aimed to rip each other apart. Despite Taemin’s height, his opponent was stronger and threw him against the window of the Mercedes, completely smashing it.
Going back to his own opponent, Taeyong turned around just in time to pin the taller one against the door of the Mercedes by the neck. The taller swallowed and smirked down to the shorter.
“oh, kinky.”
Taeyong rolled his eyes and pushed the man onto the ground, foot against his chest and gun aimed at his head. But before he could even pull the trigger, a sharp pain entered his torso. He groaned and dropped the gun, clutching his side which was turning crimson red. His hands clutched his shirt against a deep blade wound as he faltered down to his knees. Taeyong struggled to pull himself back to his feet but was met with stars and a rush of pain. He glanced back behind him to be met with a woman wearing a bandana.
She raised an eyebrow at him and held up a knife which was now covered in blood. She knelt down, wiping the blood off the knife on a bandana from her pocket.
“I like your eyes Mr. Taeyong. They’re beautiful…”
“Seulgri, no.” The blond stated, standing as he dusted off his pants. “Boss wants him alive.”
“I’d listen to your friend,” Taeyong wheezed. “He seems to be the smarter of the two.” Even though he was beginning to bleed out, Taeyong still found the strength to give an evil smirk.
This made Seulgri growl, as the other lady grabbed her gun and walked around the car to join sides with her.
Before either of them could lunge forward at Taeyong, a small car slammed into the three, sending them flying against the road.
“Are we late, boss?”
“Just on time, Mark.” Taeyong groaned, forcing himself up into a sitting position.
Taemin got up off the ground and touched the wound on his forehead. His hand was covered in blood before he noticed Taeyong’s injury was worse.
“oh my god, you’re bleeding!”
“No Shit Sherlock!” Haechan yelled from the back of the car.
“Boss, what do you want us to do?” Sehun then spoke up, even through the situation, his expression remained the same as his voice barely faltered.
“Take the Dreamies back to the zone. Get inside and lock up the building. No one goes in and no one goes out.” Taeyong slurred, feeling himself fall in and out of consciousness. There was no way he would be able to make it to the hospital in time, and never mind being arrested once he arrives.
“but what about you? We can’t just leave you here!”
“Jaemin, there is no time! It’s fine, I know where to go now, get back to the zone and lock up!” At this point, most members forget how aggressive and demanding the soft hearted Taemin could be.
He had already lifted Taeyong. An arm around his waist, keeping Taeyong close to him. He could only think of one place to take him.
“I’ll see you soon.”
“But-“
“Now Jaemin! Go!” Jaemin knew that there wasn’t time to fight with Taemin. He smacked Mark’s arm and Mark sped off.
Taemin gave a small nod before he pulled his attention back to Taeyong, whose eyes were closed as his skin was already turning pale. “Hey no! Open your eyes!” He demanded, worried that if the younger's eyes closed, they would never open again.
Taeyong could barely open his eyes, as he mumbled, “Taemin, I’m dying. You gotta get ou-“
“No! No Taeyong! I’m not leaving you! And you’re not leaving me! You promised me!” The guilt washed over Taeyong. He did promise. Both promised to stick by each other's side through thick and thin.
Taeyong had a family, and that was too much to lose. “Fine.”
After minutes of staggering around the alleyways of Seoul, Taemin turned the corner of run-down apartment buildings. At this point, the older member was practically dragging the younger. He struggled to contain his tears through the hallway, mumbling incoherent words through his quiet sobs.
Taemin finally made it to the last door, and desperately knocked on it. Over and over again. After a brief moment of silence, the door finally opened.
“Help.”

howdy! i’m pluto ( 21+, she/they ) and would like to introduce the catastrophe that is woo hyeseong. y'all he's just a funky fella... i’ll try my best to keep it as organized and brief as possible, but i do tend to overdo it . below the cut is the long story short. as for plotting and such i don’t mind giving out my discord!
𝖆 𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖗 𝖈𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖘  …  have a drink at my table , allow me to tell you stories — stories of dragons and burnt men . tell me about lord woo hyeseong  .  (  lee taemin,  cis male , he/him )    : ̗̀➛   twenty-nine years young , a firebender from the noble house of woo . many know them to be overconfident & aloof . how unfortunate , truly … i’ve always found them to be intuitive & captivating . they oft fulfill the duties of a courtesan . oh , i should tell you — they are impartial to the rule of house yi . well , you know how every storyteller bends the tale they tell .
the second born to house woo, not his father’s child. his mother was having affairs with various people after the oldest child was born. he eventually became legitimized
their family dynamic is shaped around a scornful & unforgiving father and an extremely cunning & manipulative mother. none of them are very close to one another. lord junwon’s death ( many are skeptical of lady minji and believe she brought him to his untimely end ) was truthfully mourned by everyone but his own family. whether it was his mother or not, hyeseong believes the man got what was coming to him.
the passing of the youngest daughter, yunha, should’ve been something he felt strongly about, but it was something he instead learned how to push down and tuck away.
overtime it seemed lady minji only became more and more cold. if that were even possible. she was excellent at convincing him that everything she said or did was out of love and that it would only make him stronger. the world was far harsher than anything she’d done or put him through, so he should count his blessings. he wasn’t alone in this, she was fair and gave her children equal treatment.
he seemed to constantly be in one competition after another with each of his siblings. between dancing, bending, various fighting forms, picking up their mother’s teachings with poisons, or any independent creative outlets, there was always something to prove. it was a losing battle, and one they all tried to kill each other over.
the pride he felt from his mother was brief, but it was there when he fully committed himself to mastering his firebending. she gave him absolute hell when he struggled to control his breathing or concentration, but overtime his control over the flame, and the balance between it and himself, became second nature. his performances showed that balance as he danced, and as beautiful as it was he would never quite reach his mother’s level of talent. something she used for that extra salt in the wound and motivation.
dancing felt more like a chore and something he was forced into as he was growing up, but he found peace in it the older he got. he found a rhythm with it and would create his own movements and dances as he went.
his life as a courtesan wasn’t anything he’d planned, and being of noble status he certainly didn’t need to venture down the path. at the end of the day his hands were too soft to be roughing it out in the military or undergoing any more training than what his family had already put him through. besides it pulled him out of the monotony of day to day life under his mother. clients and patrons funded his various creative whims. over time he filled his private room with expensive paints, canvases, jewelry, silks, tapestries, hallucinogenic teas, and whatever else he found value in.
hyeseong’s passions are fleeting and change with the seasons, but the one constant is his love for painting. he will frequently lock himself away for days to finish a piece. not many people see them and he’s not in the business of showing them off.
interactions with him go exactly how people imagine them to go. if he is anything, it’s predictable. he’s not outwardly friendly, insults people with backhanded compliments, picks at nerves in a way only he can, and is extremely confident in his abilities/decisions without having any reason to be. there’s not much of a soft spot in him for anything aside from himself, and even that is debatable. while he’s predictable, he can also be very sporadic in his decision making and values his wants and desires above all else. somewhere along the way he weaseled his mindset out of following in the line set out for him by his mother, and leaned into being the family disappointment.
heavy on the impartial stance for the rule of house yi. if it doesn’t stop him from going about his day to day life then he won’t ever see much point in putting his foot on either side of the fence. it could very well change as the political landscape changes and if those changes directly affect his wellbeing, but for now he chooses to live in blissful ignorance.
okayyyy... i think that's all i've got for now. it feels a lil messy, but i'm still pulling bits of him out of the clay. that being said, i do have a headcanons page here & a page for specific wanted plots here ( that i am still working on.. y'all caught me slackin ) for a little more insight. i'm super excited to dive into him and see what he gets into, so like this for plotting and i'll come to you!

AFTER DINNER, YOU'RE A DESSERT🍰😋
Pt1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing : Lee Taemin X female reader
Tags : first night out, first makeout🔞
Word count (710)
Background : Taemin has been a very busy man since he came back from the military. It's been a while since you've been together because he's schedules held him tight. So that night he decided to spoil you and take you out.
In a fancy 5 star restaurant, you've been organized a table for two on your separate spot with an orchestra music. The atmosphere felt amazingly relaxing. You can't help but smile at your lovely baby cheese sitting right in front of you. The candle lights make him look even more adorable, until he smiles and his breathtaking smile shines in your eyes. He's actually sharing something with you while he eats his meal but you're not focusing on what he says, you're starring at him with a beaming smile on your face.
“right baby?" he asked, looking at you. You took a sip of your champagne and bite your lower lip, he smiled at you. “right" you replied though you had no idea what he asked about. “so, where did you say you were heading to your parents baby?", he asked. you took a sip again “ to my friends place." you replied. “a friend, looking like this and they bought it? ", he asked. Taemin knew how strict your parents are, it was very confusing for him that they let you go out for a night on a black silky short dress, diamonds on your neck, not the bold lipstick that made your lips rosy and appetizing and your arousing jasmine scent. How attractive you looked, and guys been staring at you while sitting with their girls.
You're actually every man's target, that's why your parents often keep you indoors but somehow you managed to meet Taemin because he's been your idol since childhood and that your father is a shareholder at SM Town entertainment, made it very easy for you to meet your love. "my friend has a birthday party, but I sent gifts and told her, I couldn't make it. She knows how much I wanted thi...", you hold yourself before you can finish. You don't want to show Taemin that you love him so so much, you always hold yourself from that feeling because you scared of getting hurt someday, but you know Taemin is a genius right?. “I wanted this to happen too", he locked both of your hands to his. “when I asked you and you said yes, I couldn't wait till evening. I almost told my team, I'm tired of rehearsing I want to go home ". He said. “what!" you said and you both giggled. "you are so beautiful". He pet you a kiss on your soft cheek.
Time flee, it was a time to go home. Then you went out to his car and he drove to his house. You've never sat with him while he drives, because you usually see each other at SM when you went with your father, at your home gate in nights, when your parents are asleep. Stay in the flower garden, kiss and cuddle till you're cold. It was an awesome experience sitting next to him while he drove, his hand on your thigh, sharing funny jokes and starring at your eyes, the road, your eyes again. His giggles make something to your heart. He absolutely loves you and adores you a lot, he's been telling you how beautiful you are ever since you got there. You didn't even worry a bit that he was taking you to his house, you didn't even think if you will come out again or not.

Chapter 4 - Making up
word count: ~1.6k words
That’s how Blair’s nightmare started.
Taemin is apparently a king at holding grudges once someone gets on his nerves, so he does exactly that. When his spiritual energy is highest, at exactly 3:30 a.m., he causes all sorts of mischief around the house to surprise Blair in the morning. From misplacing random objects, like the sugar cup since Blair loves drinking her coffee with wayyy too much sugar, to hiding her shoes so she’d be late for work, or tying her shoelaces to make her trip, he makes it his day-to-day mission to mess with her. Her reactions are truly the funniest.
Once Blair realises his antics and stops giving him the reaction he’s expecting, he decides that his revenge is not enough. He starts going to her room and wakes her up in the middle of the night, without fail, messing with her sleep schedule as well.
He finds it fun, and laughs at her, and she cusses him out, and somehow two weeks have passed and Blair starts regretting buying this house and getting stuck with a naughty ghost like Taemin.
“You look like you haven’t gotten any sleep in weeks.” Brian tries to joke, but immediately stops laughing once he notices she doesn’t find it funny.
“I haven’t.” She replies blankly.
“Oh, no… insomnia?”
“Yeah, something like that…” She mutters.
“No worries, we’re gonna drown ourselves in alcohol and you’ll sleep like a baby tonight.”
“Is it ‘Friday. In two weeks.’ already?” She asks, and hopes it’s not, because she’s really tired and not in the mood to see her coworker any longer than she must.
Should she just get a hotel or something? Have a good night's sleep?
Go to a priest and attempt to exorcise that little mischievous shit?
“Yes, it’s that Friday. I’m done with work, so I’ll go wait for you in the downstairs café.”
“Okay.” Blair sighs, but a promise is a promise.
~
Five hours and way too many drinks later, Blair stumbles into her house with Brian’s lips latched onto hers. She misses the lock three times with her back pressed against the door and him kissing her passionately, and she almost trips when taking off her shoes and guiding him into her bedroom.
“Fuck, babe.” He mutters when she takes off her top. She doesn’t necessarily like him, but she really needs to get a release. She helps him out of his shirt as well.
Brian moves to her skirt and takes it off, admiring her lacy underwear, then immediately goes on top of her and starts grinding against her pussy. Blair moans in his mouth and helps him out of his pants as well, and when he finally, after what feels like forever after edging her with all the grinding, he moves her underwear to the side to stick his dick in her, she notices Taemin next to the bed grinning at her.
“Having fun?” He asks, grinning from ear to ear.
Right above Brian’s head floats a heavy book. Blair’s eyes go big.
“NO! YOU FUCKER! ENOUGH!” She starts screaming, weeks of pent-up annoyance finally shining through. “WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!”
Brian jumps from on top of her and looks at her worried. His head missed the book by a centimetre, but Taemin makes it disappear back on the shelf quickly, before Brian notices it.
“Blair…? Is everything okay?”
The girl doesn’t even hear him, as she sees Taemin’s unwavering smile that simply pisses her off.
“GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY ROOM, YOU CREEP!” She screams again, and Brian starts shaking, immediately starting to collect his discarded clothes. He runs out the door moments later, completely ignoring Blair’s attempts to explain she wasn’t in fact talking to him, but how would she actually explain she was talking to a ghost?!
~
Brian is now long gone as Blair is stressing her brains out thinking of an explanation. She is so embarrassed and has no idea how she’s going to face Brian on Monday. What a bad idea this night was.
“You, sit down.” She enters the living room and commands Taemin, who does so, amused.
“Oh, you’re wearing clothes again.” He says, but Blair ignores his witty remark.
“Okay, this is not working out.” She finally says after a while.
“Mad after you cockblocked that dude?”
“I cockblocked that dude?! You came into my room when we wanted to have sex!”
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?! Get out of my room, you creep!” Taemin imitates Blair and bursts out laughing. “Poor dude didn’t even get the chance to put it in before you started screaming.”
“It’s not funny!” Blair stands up annoyed and groans.
“Ohh but it is. You should’ve seen his face! He was sooo shocked. He didn’t know you’re batshit crazy.”
“I’m not batshit crazy!”
“You screamed at him at the top of your lungs, though.”
“No. I screamed at you.” Her face contorts with anger. “It’s not my fault I fucking see ghosts, okay?!” She retorts, annoyed. Everyone thought she was crazy, and it’s super frustrating to have the reason for your misfortune, a ghost, remind you of it every chance he gets.
~ 19 years in the past~
“Could you tell me more about this man you’ve been seeing?” A polished woman with an immaculate white coat asked, peeking at Blair under her square glasses. She was a blonde, very tall woman, who looked very intimidating to the little girl.
“… no.” Blair shook her head.
“Are you seeing him now?”
“NO!” The 5-year-old girl shouted. It was the 10th time this past year doctors asked her this. She hated going to the hospital. “The man is only in daycare! He is an electrician!”
“Is he now?” The woman smiled. “What is he wearing?”
“I told you! A blue uniform!”
“I see.” The woman nodded. “So, when did you start seeing him, sweetie?”
“3 months ago. Right after winter.”
“Can you also hear his voice?” The psychiatrist inquired further.
“I talk to him all the time, but the kids there say they can’t see him! I don’t know how. He’s so big! Like this!” The girl got up from the chair and jumped in the air with her arms held high above her head, trying to show the doctor how tall the man was.
Her mother shook her head behind the girl.
“Since when has she been seeing things?” The doctor asked the mom.
“Since always… she keeps telling me about this man, or about the old woman at the pastry shop, she would also randomly point out on the street and mumble disturbing things about people that aren’t there… I’m at my wits end, I don’t understand what’s wrong with this child.”
“Hm.” The doctor nodded. “This sounds like a case of childhood-onset schizophrenia. This is extremely rare, though. I’ve never seen such a young child have it…”
“What can we do about it? Can we give her some pills?!”
“I’m not sure medication is the best course of action at her age. We should observe her more carefully. Go to reception and get her hospitalised for now.”
~
Blair was taken to a room with only a bed and a small wardrobe. Everything was white, and blinding. She hated it.
She wanted to go home.
“Okay, you’re going to stay here until they figure out what’s wrong with you. Got that?” Her mom spoke coldly, already with her foot out the door.
“Mommy, can I please have my pink plushie? I promise I won’t get him dirty.”
“If I remember to bring it tomorrow.” Her mother shrugged. “Anything else?”
“Can you stay with me?” The little girl asked, hopeful.
“Of course not. Where would I sleep?” Her mom rolled her eyes. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Okay mommy. I love you.”
Without saying anything back, her mother left the room.
She didn’t come back for a whole agonising week, where Blair got asked countless questions.
The doctors didn’t know what was wrong, why she saw people, but since she wasn’t able to see anyone or hear any voices while being hospitalised, they let her go back home.
~
~present day~
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry.” Taemin raises his hands in the air in fake-defence and chuckles. “Don’t be so angry. I’m just messing with you.”
“You’ve been messing with me for two weeks, Taemin.”
“Damn, has it already been two weeks? I haven’t noticed.”
“Don’t play innocent.”
“I’m not. Just, genuinely, time passes by a bit differently when you’re a ghost, you know?”
Blair looks at him dead in the eyes, then sighs.
“I can’t keep being your source of entertainment just because I upset you two weeks ago.”
“You didn’t upset me.”
“Liar.”
“Fine, I’m lying. I was pretty upset. You did react a bit too extremely to my harmless pranks though.”
“Yea, the lack of sleep is kinda getting to me, Taemin. The least you could’ve done was let me get laid. I’m tired, cranky and horny. It’s a fatal combo.” She complains, then, as she hears herself speak, she kinda starts chuckling as well. It sounds so ridiculous, she can’t help it, and Taemin joins in with her.
“Friends again?” Taemin hands her a hand, and she decides to fake-shake it.
“Friends again.”
“Should we go watch some Netflix?” Taemin suggests.
“Yeah, you go do that, and I’m gonna go use one of those things on my nightstand.”
“EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.”
“Don’t be dramatic.” She rolls her eyes. “It’s your fault I didn’t have sex.”
“I saved you the embarrassment, that dude was ugly.”
“Shut up.” Blair jokes, then starts laughing. He is kinda right. Brian is not the best looking man, and she wasn’t particularly attracted to him, so she wasn’t really upset.
“Okay, okay, go have fun with your little big toys and I’ll be here when you’re done.”
“Oh wow, a few minutes of silence?!” Blair squirms with happiness. “VIBRATOR, I’M COMING!”
“Gross.” Taemin chuckles and watches Blair shut the door to her room.

Taemin - Guilty
Gosh, have you guys watched the mv? the song?? taemin proves himself once again that he is on his own level.
Bear with me as im trying hard to understand and explained the storyline of the mv in the best of my abilities. Here is my take on it. Please note that English is not my everyday communication so i apologize for any mistakes in grammar etc.
This analysis will include the mv and also the mv teasers. It will be great if we could get the director cut version for this.
The mv took place in a facility that conducted some kind of medical experiment/human trials to the kids/younger teens. Why i said that is because in the Countdown live the set is decorated with medical/lab tools.
Tumblr media
Ok now let's start.
First scribbles - the stick mans, house, tree. This usually done by kids. Second scribbles on the wall shows what people usually mark to count the days. This explained that Taemin has been there for quite some times.
Tumblr media
My theory is that this younger person is Taemin himself. In the MV (time stamp : 0:34) Taemin vividly remembered/seeing himself when he was younger, naively dancing happily around with his 'friends' although they are 'trapped' in this facility. We can see the same scene but longer in MV Teaser 1 where younger Taemin collapsed, which later we know that he has an asthma/difficulty in breathing as he keeps using an inhaler.
We see that younger Taemin is with other person in a room alone (MV timestamp : 0:20) This might be his 'lover'. But the lover however able to get out from the facilities due what so ever reason (MV trailer timestamp 1:00). Taemin was then can be seen to keep staring at the hole longing to get out too.
Tumblr media
We then come to the 'now' Taemin (in white singlet from MV trailer) playing around with his friends in the water streams but he keeps need to use the inhaler when he got excited or anxious. All of them were then locked in a room and get examined by the authorities there. They were brought to a small field where Taemin was handed a gun and he started pointed to someone/something. He was then was seen bleeding in the MV which i think triggered the 'zombie virus'.
Tumblr media
The chaotic situation started when they were all back to their rooms, they were killing the authorities and behaving/moving like a zombie but Taemin however was not affected by it. It might be because he was asthmatic thus preventing him from getting contracted?
Tumblr media
As the only one who not affected by the virus he was worshipped by the other like a god or 'Abraxas' as what the MV director updated in his IG. But later on although he is treated as a god we can see that he was alone, lonely, angry and sad? He was the only one who survived the outbreak.
Tumblr media
He went back to the abandoned and torn down facility, reminiscing his old room with the scattered shirts, he walked along the hallway and opened an empty room. The room where he was once with his 'lover'. He ran towards the front gate only to be stopped by the haunted hands but he was actually alone there fighting his own self.
Tumblr media
He managed to finally run away from that place the zombie outbreak happened to the outside world too. He was getting up from a car hood that has a 'sunflower' drawing on it. Sunflower symbolism here can be interpreted as loyalty and devotion. It can also represent a steadfast commitment and promise to always be there for the person we care about. In the MV trailer as Taemin walked in the empty street someone suddenly grabbed him which probably his 'lover' that has been waiting for him. It also has been an eye lurking to the keyhole that i think was his lover that has been looking out for him all these while.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also the main picture used on all the music platforms for this song is the one Taemin was biting a 'pear'. Pear can signify a time loss, difficulty or separation which all of that shows in the mv.
For the lyric of the song it was pretty straight forward. Taemin in Lee Mujin show said that the song is about bad love. He quoted
"With the wrong love the bad person saying this to his partner, "This is love"."
I do love this lyric translation by Abby Abbsteroni. Please check it out.

Of Magic & Social Media (2Min) - Ch.3 - The Tunnel
Tumblr media
Relationships: Choi Minho x Lee Taemin Genre: fluff, spooky, smut | strangers to lovers, fae & fairies, influencer au Rating: Explicit Chapter Word Count: ~4.6k Tags: (more will be added as chapters progress) Fluff, Spooky, Smut, Fae & Fairies, Social Media Influencer Choi Minho, Alternate Universe - Magic, Mystery
Summary:  Minho is a decently successful influencer. He amuses his followers with  vlogs of random GPS coordinate exploring. One such adventure leads him  deep into the woods, where he stumbles upon a box, locked and buried.  Upon opening it, a series of strange, and inexplicable things begin to  happen to him. Is it just bad luck? Or did he release something ancient  and powerful when he lifted the lid?

Tumblr media Tumblr media
The coordinates that the app generated were in the city this time. Minho recorded as he usually did, noting how far away they were from his present location, and what he expected to find based on a glance at the map. No real high hopes this time, he explained as he walked down the street. Probably someone’s house or a business or something. He put his phone down to focus on where he was walking, not wanting to run into some poor pedestrian because he was distracted.
As he got closer to the coordinates, the bustle of the sidewalk seemed to ease up. He glanced at the map again, scanning the proposed route. Upon closer inspection, he saw what looked like a shortcut on the map just a few feet ahead of him. He kept his eyes on the map as he walked forward, looking to the right once he reached the apparent path. Sure enough, there was what looked like a bike tunnel a few feet below him. He headed down the stairs and pulled up the camera again.
“Hey, see this, is why I love these adventures. I never knew this was here.” He showed the tunnel on camera. It looked far more foreboding on the camera than in real life, the dark circle of the opening looking more like a maw than an innocent pedestrian tunnel.
“It doesn’t look super used,” he commented, noting the trash and leaves crunching under his feet. Should cut a good few minutes off my walk though.” He kept the camera filming as he entered the tunnel. Only a few feet in, and Minho was plunged into darkness. The air seemed to thicken around him, and the concrete muffled the city noises.
“Weird,” he whispered. Even the low tone of his voice echoed like he was shouting. He glanced back toward where he’d entered. It was still there, but the sunlight stopped short as if blocked completely by the darkness. He showed it on camera. “It’s longer than I thought,” he said softly as he looked forward and realized he couldn’t see the light from the opposite end. He turned on his phone’s flashlight and moved it around, getting a feel for his surroundings.
The tunnel was just over eight feet high by his best guess; big enough for a person or a bicyclist. The walls were a dark grey and the air smelled damp. There was some graffiti here and there, and the concrete under his feet was wet and dirty. He walked forward, still angling the phone around to get a look at the tunnel.
After a few minutes, the light from his phone seemed to disappear into a darkness to his left. Curious, Minho turned and walked toward it, holding one hand out in front of him. It was a second path. He paused at the fork, biting his lip.
“I’m not sure which way to go,” he admitted. “Hold on…” He paused the recording to pull up his map. It showed him near the end of the path that he’d intended to take, but it showed no forks like this. He screenshotted the map and pulled his camera back up. “So, this is weird. I think the GPS must be messing up. According to the map, the exit should be just a few feet ahead.” He turned the camera to show the path he was originally on. Nothing but darkness filled the viewscreen, eating the rays of light from the flashlight.
“But it’s a sunny day – if the exit was anywhere in the next few feet… I’d see the sun. It also doesn’t show this secondary path.”
He hesitated, looking between the two options. “Well, the point of these little adventures is to find new things, right?” He turned and headed down the new path.
It was more of the same for much of the path, damp, grey walls, dirty concrete walking path. The more Minho walked, the cooler it seemed to become, as if the sun was warming less and less of the area. He commented on it as he continued to record the video.
“Sorry you’re not seeing much here,” he said. “There’s really only the walls – a lot less graffiti that I can see. I wish I’d brought a real flashlight, but I didn’t expect to be anywhere dark on this one.”
The tunnel in front of him suddenly ended in a grate, coming up so fast it startled him. “Huh. Well, that’s that,” he said, placing his hand on the metal. It was frigid cold, and felt damp. He could feel a gentle vibration from it. He angled the flashlight around it, confirming that the grate was sunken deep into the concrete all around. He tried to peek through it, but the tunnel seemed to continue on in darkness. Somewhere distant, Minho could hear water dripping slowly.
“I wonder where I am in relation to the city,” he commented. He turned to head back the way he came when his flashlight’s beam disappeared once more. He paused and looked closer, realizing he was looking at another tunnel that branched off. Next to it was a second.
“Huh. Well… Which way to go.” He paused the recording and looked at his map again, a little surprised to realize he’d been walking these tunnels for nearly twenty minutes. More surprising, however, was that he had absolutely no service. The GPS couldn’t locate him, so the map couldn’t update. He went back to his camera and chuckled. “Well… We have a bit of a problem. Apparently wherever I am, I’ve gotten to a place with no service. Which is odd, considering how good the cell service is in this area of the city normally. I wonder if the tunnel has been curving down in some way? It would make sense since it’s been getting colder… And the water, I wonder if it’s some sort of sewer access? Maybe that’s why it didn’t appear on the map, they might not have wanted anyone here.”
He looked at the two tunnels again, and then back the way he came. “I still have pretty good battery life, so I’m going to keep going for a while more. It seems like there’s nothing here though, so I am gonna stop recording for a bit, try to save the battery and also cut down on the amount of footage I have to edit out when I’m finished. I’ll start up again if anything cool happens, or when I figure out where I am or what this place is.” He ended the recording and lowered his brightness on his phone and flashlight, hoping to conserve his battery. He did have an external pack in his bag, but he didn’t know how long he’d be down here, and didn’t want to end up using both and getting himself lost. He opened the notes app on his phone and drew a quick map, as well as noting what he came to.
‘Straight path, then took the left fork. That path ended at a grate with 2 paths on the left side. Taking the’
He paused, looking at his two possible options. Left or right. Which was better? Worse? He walked a few feet down the right path, using his flashlight to see if anything caught his eye. More of the same. Backing out, he went down the left tunnel and repeated his actions. It all looked the same. Back out to the grate, and he leaned against the opposite wall, sighing heavily. He wished he had service, he could post a quick poll and ask his subscribers left or right. Either seemed equally possible to end in something cool or a complete waste of time.
Tumblr media
After considering for some time, he nodded and tapped his phone.
‘the right side’ he typed. He headed down the right tunnel, shining the flashlight around.
This tunnel seemed to curve more than the others. As Minho walked, he could feel the wall nearing his arms despite walking in a straight line. The top of the tunnel seemed to be sinking as well; the original one had been nearly eight feet, but this one was almost touching his head, putting it just over six feet by his best guess. After walking for another ten or so minutes, he recorded a quick video.
“Alright, so I took the right tunnel. More of the same mostly, just grey walls. There’s no grafitti here though, so I’m guessing nobody’s walked this far. It’s cold, so I think the idea that we’re dipping underground is right. The tunnel itself is getting smaller. It used to be big, but now I can nearly touch all of it just standing in the center. I’m still not seeing any natural light, and I hear water a lot louder now. Up ahead I thought I saw another fork in the system, so I’m going to head left in that one.”
He stopped the video and headed toward the split he’d seen. He entered the left tunnel then paused, glancing back the way he’d come. A sensation came over him then, settling over him like a blanket of chilling anxiety. He hadn’t consciously thought about taking this path. His phone was still out of service, and he had no idea how long this system went on for – or even where it ended. He backed out of the left tunnel and looked to the right one. Instead of the opening he swore had been there five minutes prior, he was instead met with another grate.
The invisible weight seemed to increase, thickening the air around him. He could have sworn there was an opening there. He pulled up the video he took, rewatching to see if he’d shown it, but he hadn’t. The camera had remained on his face, barely visible in the darkness. The only other thing visible in the screen were two tiny points of greenish light, glowing somewhere over his left shoulder. Minho walked back to where he’d taken the video, moving his light around quickly to try and catch the reflection of whatever had been in the video. There was nothing but more of the same grey.
“I’m losing it,” Minho said to himself, chuckling softly. His laugh echoed down the tunnel, reverberating back to him in an unsettling mockery. The hairs on his arms raised. He hurried into the left tunnel once more, turning off the flashlight. As he walked, he began to mouth a reminder.
“Stay left, stay left, stay left,” he repeated. There was no visible danger, but something felt… Wrong. Minho loved adventure, loved exploring. This should have been no different. But he couldn’t shake the feeling that had returned. The tingling between his shoulderblades, the gentle movement of hair on the back of his head when no wind was present. He felt watched. More accurately, he felt followed. Even stalked.
His footsteps echoed, and would mask anyone’s that might be trotting after him. His own breathing as he moved at a faster pace down the seemingly endless darkness would hide anyone else’s breathing. The rush of blood in his ears would render him incapable of hearing any subtle movements.
Entirely focused on suppressing the panic that was threatening to take over, Minho nearly ran face first into the end of the tunnel. He shouted, his own voice mocking him from two directions. The tunnel split once more. He pulled out his phone, a knot growing in his stomach. It was half dead, and he’d been walking for almost an hour. It didn’t feel like it. His legs weren’t aching, he wasn’t thirsty or hungry, none of the normal responses to walking nonstop for an hour. He pulled up the camera and started a video.
“Another tunnel fork,” he said, pausing when he realized his voice was shaking. He took a breath to calm himself and laughed, trying to avoid cringing when the tunnels laughed back. “All this talk of demons and spirits, you’ve all got me super freaked out,” he said, offering what he hoped was a genuine smile. “I swear I feel like I’m being followed. It’s probably a mouse.” He chuckled again. “I’m gonna go down the right tunnel here, see where that takes me.”
He went to stop the recording, then remembered. “Oh!” He brought the phone back up to his face. “Weirdest thing. Earlier when I was recording about a split in the tunnel. I swear there was a right and left side, but when I went back, ends up the right side was blocked off with a grate. I didn’t video it, so no proof, but was so weird.” He shrugged and grinned. “See you soon.”
He ended the recording and headed off down the right tunnel, using the flashlight at first to determine there were no differences, then going by feel. Recording had calmed him down and gotten his heart back to a normal pace. He was just scaring himself, he was sure, being alone in the dark had to affect some deep animal part of a human psyche.
Tumblr media
Minho’s calm mindset was far from long lived. The feeling of being watched continued to grow in intensity. The tunnel path continued on for what felt like hours, curving gently left or right. The dripping water never grew or decreased in volume or intensity, and Minho wondered if he was really moving forward at all, or just walking in place.
That question was answered quickly, when only a few minutes after thinking it, he ran directly into something blocking his path. It was cold and hard, and despite his slow pace, he’d been moving quickly enough for it to send spikes of pain along his nose. He swore loudly, his voice echoing back to him as he turned on his phone’s flashlight and aimed it in front of him, surprised to see that the tunnel seemingly just stopped, ending in a wall. “Wh—” He wiped his nose with the back of his hand and held it up, relieved there was no blood. Minho focused his attention back on the dead end, moving the flashlight around to try and find another path. There was no way he spent hours of his day walking through a tunnel just to have it end like this. Especially considering the sound of the water; it had to be coming from somewhere. He was just about to backtrack and go through a different tunnel that he’d passed up when he spotted it. The entrance was to the left, only about four feet tall. He’d nearly missed it, searching for entrances his height or more. He crouched down, shining his light into the tunnel. It looked the same as the one he was in, albeit two feet shorter.
The ground was cold even through his jeans as Minho sat to record. He held up the camera, taking a moment to try and adjust it to show his face even a little in the low reflected light from the flashlight. “Well, I reached a wall – and nearly broke my nose in the process.” He chuckled a little. “There’s a way forward, but it’s a smaller tunnel.” He shifted the camera over to show the opening next to him. “I can make it,” he said, pulling the camera back to himself. “But I’ll be crouched over; it’s almost two feet shorter than I am. I don’t know if you can hear it – but there’s water dripping somewhere. But it seems like no matter how long I’ve walked, it doesn’t change. No closer or farther away, I don’t know what to make of it. The silence is creepy – I can hear my own heartbeat and every time I make a noise it echoes. I can see why they say people go insane if you keep them in the silence and the dark for too long. Not that I’m going crazy.” He grinned brighter, as if to convince those that would eventually be viewing this. Or maybe himself. “But I get it,” he continued after a second.
“It’s been…” He glanced at the time, whistling softly. “I can’t believe it, I’ve been in this tunnel system for nearly three hours.” He sighed. “At this point, backtracking is going to be impossible. Even with the directions that I’ve written for myself, I won’t get out until well after dark. So I just have to move forward and hope that I’m closer to the end of the system than the beginning of it. I’m definitely underground now. It’s frigid and it shouldn’t be. So, I think I’m going to keep the flashlight on now, maybe I’ll find a ladder that gives me some sort of street access. I haven’t found anything to indicate what these tunnels are used for, but that would make sense, right? Logically – there’s gotta be a reason for them.”
He rose and wiped off the back of his jeans. “Alright, I’m heading into the space. If I go for another hour or so and I don’t seem to be getting any closer to an exit, I might try to backtrack after all. I don’t wanna be down here all night.”
Minho shut off his recording and began down the smaller hole. He was hunched over, the strain on his back becoming obvious within only a few hundred feet. He didn’t want to crawl on his hands and knees; how humiliating – but this was going to start to become painful if it kept up. The walls still looked the same and it was starting to drive him a little crazy. This system had to have an out somewhere. It only made sense; who would create a system of tunnels with only one exit point?
After what felt like an hour, but based on his phone clock was only about twenty minutes, Minho swallowed his pride and dropped down to his hands and knees, scootching forward. The rasp of his jeans on the concrete was as loud as a scream, prolonged and echoing in such a way that he couldn’t have heard anyone even if they’d been running.
Which is likely why Minho didn’t hear the heavy breathing coming from the tunnel in front of him until it was too late. He looked up, shining the light. His heart jumped into his throat, squeezing and skipping a beat when he saw something other than empty tunnel. In front of him, separated by a mere six feet, stood the largest beast Minho had ever seen. Its eyes were bright, candy apple green, reflecting eerily off the light from his phone. It was a dog at first glance, though much larger than any Minho saw in the city, ears nearly brushing the top of the tunnel in their perked state. Its fur was as black as the darkness behind it, and its lips were pulled back into a snarl, revealing sharp white teeth and pink gums.
Minho made a small noise of surprise, a shout choked back by the clench of his throat. The dog-like beast snarled then, snapping its jaws. The sound echoed like a gunshot off the walls, and Minho’s throat let the scream through. His own voice reverberated back, his eardrums aching and throbbing as he scrambled around. He rose to his feet, crying out when he bumped his head on the top of the tunnel. He hunched over and ran, the sound of the beast barking and snarling as it chased him. It had two advantages, he knew – with four legs and being short enough to run through this tunnel without crouching. It wouldn’t be long before it caught him and ripped him to shreds.
Minho felt a wind behind him, and heard the snapping of jaws once more. Though he couldn’t see, he knew the beast was an inch – maybe two – from taking a bite out of him. He lunged forward, lungs burning. Up ahead he could see the opening of this smaller path when his hands rose, still gripping the phone with the light on. He leaned further, praying to whoever was listening that he could make it. If he could just stand straight, maybe he’d have a chance.
His shoulder smacked the edge of opening hard as he reached it, pain radiating down his arm, but also propelling him in the right direction. The beast was still on his tail, jaws snapping and breath warming the leg closest to its mouth. Minho rasped for air, a sharp pain ripping through his side as he struggled to keep up the pace. He was athletic, but he’d already been walking for hours, and his body couldn’t keep going at this clip much longer. Minho dared a glance over his shoulder, his blood chilling in his veins. The dog-thing was only about a foot behind him, though it was nearly invisible in the darkness. Minho could see its eyes – neon green pinpoints, and the glint of its teeth, bared to shred his flesh the second it caught him. He cried out softly and looked forward again, screwing his eyes shut.
The toe of Minho’s sneaker struck a small lip in the tunnel. His speed sent him forward, crashing to the ground and skidding painfully. The sunlight seared his pupils even behind closed lids, and the rushing of traffic only a short walk away sent pain radiating through his head. He clapped his hands over his ears, forcing his eyes open in a tear-filled, blurry squint. He was on the ground. He rolled over, fully expecting to see the beast leaping at him, but instead, the opening of the tunnel loomed in front of him. It was only about eight feet in length, and Minho could see the bike path on the other side, edged on either side in trees.
As his eyes adjusted and his heart slowed, Minho sat up, rubbing his chest where he’d taken the brunt of the fall. He searched around in the dirt, spotting his phone a few feet away. He scrambled to pick it up, wincing at the angry crack across the glass. He tapped it, panic forming in his chest when it wouldn’t turn on. He smacked it against his palm and held down the power button, sighing in relief when the logo popped up on the black screen. While he waited for it to power up, he looked around, dazed. How? He’d spent hours in that place. It wasn’t short like this. A part of him wanted to enter it again, check for an opening, something to explain the past few hours, but he was afraid the second he did, he’d be thrust back into the dark tunnel system and the dog-beast like some demented Alice in Wonderland.
Minho looked down to check his phone. A pit formed in his stomach when he did, cold icicles of fear pinning him to the spot. According to his phone, he’d only been in the tunnel five minutes. Though in reality, it should have been nearly dark out, close to seven in the evening, it was just past one. With a shaking hand, Minho pulled up his photo app, relieved to see the pile of dark stills that proved he’d filmed something over the past few hours. He pulled up a random one, turning up the volume to hear himself. But there was nothing. He could see no light from the phone, couldn’t hear his voice or his footsteps. He pulled up another – the same. File after file, it was just minutes upon minutes of dark silence. The timestamps were no help, showing all zeroes. Minho sat on the ground, staring in disbelief at the screen. His fear shifted to a panic, drenching him in a cold sweat. How would anyone believe him if he tried to explain this without proof?
Feeling numb, he pulled up the app and started recording. “Hey, guys…” He began, realizing how tired he sounded. And how tired he felt. Despite the lack of missing time, his body certainly believed he’d spent all that time walking. “So, I just had… Something super weird happen, and I know a lot of you won’t believe it, but I gotta say something before I talk myself out of it.”
He sighed and stood up, brushing off his jeans. “So, I pulled up a new set of coordinates today to film. Nothing weird, but while I was walking, I ended up spotting this.” He flipped the camera to show the tunnel. “Just a basic sort of bike shortcut, but it would cut quite a bit of time off my walk to the coordinates, so I figured I’d use it.” He turned the camera back to himself.
“Except when I went in there, it changed.” He chuckled. “I know how this is gonna sound, but I gotta put it out there. It was dark and it was a lot longer than that that you see. It was like a whole system of tunnels They were all smooth concrete like that but they just went on and on. I lost service even. And I did record. A ton too. So, I was walking for hours. It never seemed to end. I swear, I spent at least five or six hours down there. I finally reached this part that was short, only about four feet tall. While I was in it, a fucking animal came out of nowhere. It was solid black, and it looked sort of like a dog or a wolf or something but it was massive. It’s ears were touching the top of the tunnel. The fucking thing chased me. I thought I was going to die.” He laughed a little, hating how strained his voice sounded.
“I tripped over something and landed on the ground.” He lowered the camera to show his torn shirt. “Outside.”
Minho rubbed the back of his neck. “I was back outside. I’d walked for hours and within five minutes while that mutt from Hell was chasing me… I ended up outside, and that tunnel was how you see it now. Not long or deep or scary at all. And the dog was totally gone.”
He sighed. “I know it sounds crazy. What’s crazier is that none of that time is gone. Like I was walking for hours, but it’s only been a few minutes on my phone. While I was in the tunnel time was passing, it should be sunset, but it’s not. It’s like I’ve only been gone for a few minutes. What’s worse? None of the videos have any sound or picture. I feel crazy. I have hours of footage in my phone but it’s all black and silent. The timestamps are just zeros…” He shook his head. “I feel like I’m losing my mind. And I know a lot of you won’t believe me, and I have no way of proving it but…” Minho sighed, rubbing his temple. “If you have any clue about what happened, or what might have happened to the videos, I’d take any advice.” He looked back at the tunnel, an unsettling feeling crawling down his spine. “What’s worse?” He whispered. “I feel like I’m being watched.” He looked back at the camera for a moment before ending it and posting it.
Without wasting another minute, Minho hurried back up the trail to the sidewalk, relieved to see the busy faces of strangers after the events he’d experienced. He rushed back toward the bus stop that would take him home, ignoring their stares. He was sure he looked a mess – torn shirt and sweaty like he’d just run a mile. And though he tried to keep himself neutral, he was sure some of the panic he was feeling was leaking through in his expression.

hiiii, how are you?? how's school treating you??
ok, I'll be honest, I do not remember what that last link was sjhjks i have shit memory and i usually just go back to check what it was but it seems like they erased the post, but yeah, it was probably about sxf sdjhsjk I CANT BELIEVE YOURE DONE WITH MANGA WHAT KJSHSJKF Anya deserves everything she desires and by god are Yor and Loid going to try their best to give it to her
i'll have to look up that review bc there's always so much thought going into costuming that the average viewer wont notice and it's so cool to learn about it all
edwina being angry was so necessary, they really did her wrong and it wouldve been a disservice to her character if she was just like 'it's ok, you love each other' so yeah, super satisfying and validating
i thought the queer storyline was gonna come from benedict kjdhekjdh eloise i was hoping would find her own happiness by herself despite society making it basically impossible back then
sjhhghagsf perfectly understandble, the friend i usually watch shows with also hasnt finished cbaw
oh shit a retelling of the fall of the house of usher that sounds amazing, im gonna look the book up now
i have also ditched the goodreads challenge despite having set it up for like 5 books only, last year i didnt even reach that so yeah, then again i forgot i was reading a korean novel ???? like full on forgot about it until i was checking my bookmakrs and found it again lmao
yeeeeeeees the cauliflower metaphor was amazing, and sfhjhfh yeah, karthik helping aman on the train was just *chef's kiss *
my friend and i finished it last night and just ahhhhhhh i am so happy about it, imogen was a dear and im happy that even tho there were changes from the webcomic it all still felt so true to character and the storylines from the webcomic werent erased, just changed a bit
no, fr, she does have something against tao bc no come oooooon, what is that (im joking about the stylist but not about how bad the hair is)
JOE LOCKE REALLY BROUGHT HIM TO LIFE SO WELL like seriously, he was a perfect Charlie :'3
for real about yoongi, he has said so many things that live in my heart, the others have too like Jin's speech for (i think) 2020 graduates, that one hit me
oh it makes perfect sense, im a casual fan of so many groups and not a proper fan bc theyre always churning out so much stuff, i cannot keep up with it all
my recs: kard, loona, dreamcatcher, a.c.e (four members are in their military service rn tho), the rose, day6, i've been really into straykids lately but that is mainly bc i find lee know hilarious and instagram has been feeding me their reels, i like twice, enhypen, itzy, txt, kep1er, oneus, alexa, taemin, holland, wonho and rolling quartz too
kard are awesome bc theyre a co-ed group and they generally dont subscribe as much to kpop industry's purity culture as much, loona i found bc their song heart attack is gay af and the rest of their songs are amazing, dreamcatcher are more rock leaning and when they started out they had a HEAVY horror concept, love that from them, their song deja vu gives serious gay vibes too, a.c.e i found bc i like techno and edm as well and they started out leaning into the genre, theyve moved on from it by now tho, theyre still talented af and i do try to keep up with them as much as bts, the rose are a band in the more traditional sense, they each play an instrument and stuff, and have LOVELY songs, day6 and rolling quartz are also traditional bands, rq are more new tho and more rock leaning than the others i'd say, straykids are awesome, they did the opening and ending for the tower of god anime (which i recommend as well sdkhjksd), blackpink is another of the groups i try to keep up with as much as bts but they dont put as much music out or as often as bts does and im conflicted about it bc 1, the kpop industry is just insane about that, and 2, it means they get more time to rest and produce quality content but 3, their company has other artists that DO put out music pretty often and it generally feels like they just dont care about them (stinks of misogyny too) so yeah, enhypen debuted with a vampire concept and it was just fantastic, heavy twilight vibes on their debut mv, sinc then they havent really abandoned the supernatural concept, twice are insanely good and i would stan them but theyre very active and ive got no energy lmao, the others i mentioned i dont stan either but theyre super good, taemin, alexa, holland and wonho are soloists btw, holland is gay and he's producing a BL and starring in it with han gi chan who acted on where your eyes linger
oop, sorry the kmusic thing got really long, there's just plenty of great artists, and im sure many more that i know nothing about
ahhhhh i cannot wait to hear your thoughts on ons and jjk (specially ons, i have been obsessed with it since like 2016 or 2017), i tend to lean towards action anime, i am not immune to a well animated fight scene, another great one is the god of highschool, that one made me bawl, tho i watched it again with my friend earlier this year and she did not shed a single tear in that specific scene lmao
sorry if there's too many recs, got too excited dkjsfhdj
monster hugs are the best :'3 specially from a dear friend like you <33
hope you're having an easy time and staying hydrated
-M<3
m!!!!! bestie🥺🥺 how are you?!!?!?[sorry for not answering i was out of station and my draft got deleted so rewriting rn]
never underestimate what a person can accomplish while trying to ignore important tasks😎 i finished the sxf manga in? 2 days and it was so good omg. i really liked how they named each chapter "mission" like thats so cute🥺 okay so half of the manga is the family stressing out over academic & political on goings and the other half is them stressing out hiding their identities its quality media u really should read it if u wanna!!![ the anime is pretty much the same but the anime adds more action scenes like in ep 5 and also the song when loid was zipping down??] me🤝🏾 loid 🤝🏾yor wanting to give anya the world and more
wait ill link it right here. the video spans the summary, her own review then the costume bit which made the video very enjoyable and her other videos are p cool too!! [and ooh the met gala reviews. she articulates her videos pretty well but the met gala reviews are my fave cause. well u have to watch it!!]
edwina was one of my fave characters and also like in s1 its pretty mild simon and daphne literally just made out but anthony fell in love with edwina's sister like that actually scandalous and it made it more interesting but also WOOW bro thats her sister. still enjoyed it tho :p
i thought for sure that benedict wouldve begun an affair with the art guy , and in s2 they were hinting at eloise and penelope i think (hopefully im not the only one) idk i wish they hadnt ditched it cause!!! it wouldve been cool idk. although in s1 i thought eloise and penelope would end in a qpr or the regency equivalent of a qpr
im gonna try to finish cbaw by this weekend!! one of the main reasons i havent finished it yet is cause the only way i can access it is on a site with a lot of pop up ads and my ad block expired so i figured out a way to download the episodes then watch so the weekend awaits me!!
also fair warning i read the book a long time ago so check out the tw's before you read it
brooo i set my goodreads goal for 69 this year as a JOKE😭😭then mid april i was behind 17 books so i dropped it cause everytime i logged on there goodreads basically spit on me lmao wait which korean novel👀👀 and speaking of!! i recently started semantic error manhua and i might start the novel after a month or so cause its so interesting
smzs subverted a lot of classic bollywood tropes like *checks list* chasing a train and helping someone on it, defying parents, interrupting wedding of ur lover, and pretending to be the partner at the wedding covered by a veil into a movie about gay men and its one for the ages🏳‍🌈
imogen was really cool imo and i like how they handled nick turning down a romantic relationship with her. i was literally pin pointing out the scenes with the webtoon tab open 😭 the kissing scenes with the shoes was just ahhhh so good😊😊
ppl were plotting against tao fr
joe locke!!! was the perfect charlie!! also side note thats such a cool ass name
a lot of the things bts say do lodge themselves in my mind and the graduation speech is one of them. jin's speech about wanting to catch up to everyone else and rather to take it slow because everyone has a different pace and to let go of the disappointment that comes with taking your own road was important to hear especially during 2020.
i have heard most or all of these of these groups and i do have a very large kpop playlist that i keep meaning to arrange properly into other playlists, but i keep forgetting😭
skz, twice , enhypen i do try to follow them and i like a lot of their songs especially fever by enhypen and literally twice has soo many bangers likey one of the best gg songs ever imo. loona and dreamcatcher have really cool themes and they execute it pretty well!! i started following rolling quartz after finding out that theyre a rock band and what more reason did i need akfhsdklfhs
i haven been following holland and wonho for a lot of time!! i heard about his bl show and i cant wait!!
i already started them jjk and ons and im thinking of taking it slow and finishing the god of high school first cause the premise sounds very very interesting
dont worry about the amount of recs lol i love content [and u💜]
ur a dear friend to me too🥺🥺 giving u 3 monster hugs today!!!
also just realized i havent given you a song rec in a while so: heavy by yonaka
staying drank !! hope ur safe and hydrated as well
