I love being a mom! It is, by far, the best J.O.B. I could have ever asked for.🥰 My son was such a pleasure to raise and continues to be a source of inspiration for me. He always loved being active and still is to this day.👩‍👦 I threw myself into being his mom. I attended every sports practice and game, only ever missed one band performance, and was always up for jumping on the trampoline, playing XBox, or riding bikes. 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ When I was looking through pictures to hang up for his high school graduation party, I realized that I wasn't IN any of the pictures with him because I was always the one taking the pictures.😯 I vowed to change that moving forward. (You can see how happy he was to start taking pictures with me in these photos from our road trip after high school graduation.😉) ❣ I wish someone would have told me about direct sales 30 years ago. I could have had more time with my son instead of working fulltime to help make ends meet. ❣ I wish I would have known that a clean house isn't the epitomy of a good mom and wife. I wouldn't have wasted one day each weekend cleaning. Instead, I would have spent them playing and making memories. ❣ I wish I would have known that memories stored in my mind from being present in the moment would be more valuable than a million pictures. This is me when I was burning the candle at both ends. (Swipe to see what happens to skin when stress goes away➡️) 18 years into a career where I was the one that everyone turned to for answers and help. Leader of our team where I was being encouraged to work my business in a way that didn't align with my values. College student finishing up a bachelor's degree started 30 years earlier because my directors said it could take me places. Wife trying to balance working a fulltime job, a direct sales business, college, and the house finances. (Thank goodness my husband helped me with taking care of the house. Could you imagine if he didn't?) Woman trying to be everything that I thought others thought I should be. And then I said NO.🛑 No more working in a job where there wasn't advancement. No more 40 hour work weeks. No more trying to be like all the other consultants. No more trying to impress others with what we owned. I opted for a simpler way of life. A life that allowed me to do work that makes my heart sing. A life that affords me time to spend with those I love. A life that is fulfilling.
